My car hadn’t been washed or cleaned out in way too long to admit. The staff at Waterway went above and beyond to get the dog hair from my 80lb German Shepherd out of the upholstery. I got the car back looking as close to brand new as possible and I am just so impressed and eternally grateful. I wouldn’t say it took a terribly long time either which I was also impressed and pleased with. So thank you so much to everyone who helped get my car back to semi-normal!!!

Worst experience I paid 40$ for cleaning (tje whole thing service which is $38) plus $2 cargo after cleaning it wasnt clean at all so i told them they used dirty towel again to clean the car and liked nothing happen. Dont wast money if you need vacuumed just go gas station or use your house vacuums and would be better than my car just clean your car yourself. The picture is after second time cleaning and my car wasnt dirty that much and still look like they didnt clean they just mess around and steal money

This was by far the worst service we have ever had. The windows are smeared something awful. The dash has places that were never even touched and/or has lots of lint left on it. Looks like it was rushed and no attention to detail was given. I have attached a picture of the inside of our window.

Quality is Diminishing.As you can see in the attached photos, the quality of the service here is dropped significantly over the past few years. When you pay a hefty annual fee for a cleaning service, you should expect more than a wipe down with a semi-dry rag. It appears they are more concerned about quantity over quality at this point, unfortunately.

The kids a super, windshield tag never worked for the $19 a month, but as much soap as the used to use, machines fail alot so you get half a car wash.

Came here during my lunch on 6/3 and they were pretty quick. Hardworking crew and pretty good service. Got the Whole Thing for my car and the crew did a fairly good job with the interior. Got all of my dogs hair out of the backseat and the exterior looked flawless. Just a few smudges / smears on the inside windshield that mustve got left behind after wiping it down.

I was disappointed that the options offered did NOT match what was on the website. I know that the purpose is to be fast, but the quality was affected. The cleaning of the inside was disappointing...but the outside was perfect.

Super pricey!! I paid over $50 for a car wash and vacuum and clean. They were slow, and the results were really bad for what I received. Im the only one in my vehicle so its never super dirty. They didnt clean the display screen, there were still crumbs around my gear shift and the drink holders didnt get touched. Most carwash places dont allow tips, but they had their hands out here. I felt bad because I had no cash, but after I saw how bad the cleaning was, I was glad I didnt tip. I wont return!!

Read this to find out why NOT to get your car washed here.Today is Friday 21st, 2020. I just had my Scion Frs cleaned with the whole Thing the package deal costing 36$. At first walking through the door was good, watching my car go through the tunnel was all is good. Until they started cleaning my car. The first time the inside was cleaned the top of the floor mats in the front were cleaned. None of my dash or inside of my windshield and back window. The back seats were not touched nor was my trunk. So I went back inside after they told me car to tell them they didnt clean my car. They manager told me no problem we will fix this. He pulled it back around and cleaned under the floor mats and the whole back seat. The Rear inside window or the front windshield was still not cleaned. Still nothing was done to my dash/radio/center consul. On top of everything that didnt get cleaned the two times they cleaned it. Are my wheels and tires were never touch. How could you advertise to Clean the whole thing but not even clean half of it? To me this is false advertisement.P.s. Their solution now is to clean it for the 3rd time. But instead of fixing their mistakes they are making me my 5 day rain guarantee. I was trying to wait for the last day to use that coupon. So I got the most life span of their cleaning progress. Moral of all this is don’t get you car washed here. Unless you wanna get ripped off and taken advantage of.After the third time going back to get my car cleaned. They never touched my dash or doors. I made it clear to the manager when I went back up on what wasnt clean. this was the last chance I gave them to clean it. When I left, I pulled over in the lot next door at the price chopper. to whip my dash down and door cards. I will never be back and if I am asked how I fell about them cleaning my car. The answer will be A 5 year old will clean your car better then the Waterway staff ever will.

Lots of new faces here... My truck had to be run through a second time as the car wash didnt finish its cycle. I had to wait for a second run through and then they couldnt remember what wash I paid for. Im chalking it up to new training in progress...

Driver took my change out of console, bugs left on windshield, paid $16 for wash, dry & vacuum, was not told $2 charge for truck cargo . My personal lunch was open and french fries eaten. Trash left in seats. Not recommended, for the money!

Thanks to the manager, Mr. Logan (Brilliant young guy with very bright future because he appeared to be genuinely wanting to fix the problem and make this business better. Very hard to find people like these days!). I feel very satisfied due to quick resolution of the issue. I will visit again.Old review: 25+ dollars for about 30 seconds car wash! Then kids wipe/dry the car after the automated wash in another 10 seconds.

5/5/21 UPDATE - Management has reached out to me and since this post, I have gone back and I was pleased with the service I received; so its great that they are listening.ORIGINAL POST - I’ve always been a fan of Waterway, especially the College location. Last month however, the lack of attention to detail was pretty obvious. Recently, I’ve just come to the conclusion that management doesn’t care.If there are plenty employees on hand and have the time to goof off, I don’t believe being short on staff Or last-minute schedule changes are the reason for the poor service. There should be no excuses.I suggest the owner goes back to secret shoppers, because that ensures that they’re giving the high-end level of service that many Waterway customers have come to expect.The other locations are not exactly convenient but if it means the job will be done right, that’s where my business will go.

Usually a great place to get a car wash. The last time I stopped in, the attendant completely forgot to dry the back/sides of my truck. Thats not a common issue.

My care was relatively clean, the overall cost in my eyes was ASTRONOMICAL! over $45 for full service clean, $6 up charge now to clean mats. I used to enjoy treating myself and my ride to a full service wash.......not at that price!

Other than the backseat, my car looked perfect (or as well as it can!!). They even offered to tape down part of my cars trim to avoid it being damaged by the wash, although they completely forgot my back seat.. Otherwise it would have been a 5..

They always seem to not do a good job on our cars. They don’t pay attention to detail. Will not return. I go to the one on 135th fantastic jobs.

This place is does a good job. I had a new guy once and he didnt do very well. Plus forgot some rags on my car.

Never trying touch car wash again. It’s my own fault for trusting this process but my new car now has chips in the windshield and scratches on the paint. Touch less car wash is the way to go or by hand. I did call to let them know what happened and they were nice about it but not much could be done. Never trust your tired mind after a long day at work. Oh well.

This place does not do a good job with cleaning the interior at all. brought my car twice in one week hoping they would do a better job the second time. Spent too much just to be disappointed.

Top notch car wash always. Spotless every time. Wouldn’t take my truck anywhere else. Logan went out of his way to make sure it was perfect inside and out.

Did a very poor service. I watched them from your sidewalk snd they were on the west so unless you were looking you wouldn’t pay attention. Asked if they vacuumed oh yes they said. Only the front, front arm rests weren’t touched and I tipped not knowing how bad it was.Won’t be back...

Dropped $40 for The Whole Thing but could have easily spent half that at a competitor. The package was to include washing my four floor mats, but when I asked why my mats werent washed I was told that they no longer do mat washing because of whats going on. Presumably running floor mats through a machine is somehow a plague threat. Didnt detect any fresh scent application in the car either. One and done with this place.

I went in today and asked for the Max wash and detail. They were a bit busy but told me it was no problem and let me know about how long it would be. Y’all! My car looks so freakin’ good!!! Those gentleman did an excellent job! My car smells amazing. I don’t think there is one part of my car that they did not detail. Fabulous work!

The staff was friendly but the cleaning service was less than adequate. I paid for the best wash, $40, and while the carpets did sort of get vacuumed the interior was definitely not wiped down at all. What they gave me was definitely not worth the $40. Went here to try out their free car wash for a month program with my new truck. Ran it through 1 time and suddenly had 3 scratches down the drivers side that werent there before. Of course they gave me the run around, wasting my time and gas just to tell me they wouldnt take responsibility and wouldnt do anything to fix the issue. DO NOT GO HERE. They will ruin your paint and then tell you its your fault.

I was just screwed out of .50 per gallon. Came and entered my loyalty ID codes for discount and not only didnt get the discount the MANAGER claimed he nor anyone associated with their location knew anything and couldnt help me.

I paid for their Whole Thing package and it was a total waste of money, they barely vacuumed and didnt even clean the inside like they were supposed to, almost like they were lazy about it. I can still wipe things off with my finger and even more with my towel. Left streaks on the windshield and also a very sloppy job with the wheels... left streaks of brake dust everywhere. Better off going somewhere else

They were doing an amazing job before I purchase a year membership. For some reason there just not drying my vehicle off like before hit and miss :( Its still the best place to get a car wash.

Fast service and a great wash!

I do not recommend this location. I used to be a member of Waterway when I lived in Saint Louis so I assumed locations out here would be just as good. Wrong. Their service is slow and pretty poor. I had to keep asking the employees to clean spots they were missing that were really obvious. I paid for the best most extensive wash they offer and it looks like I ran my car through a $5 tunnel wash. There was also a lot of confusion among staff as to what they were supposed to do with my car. They tried to give it back to me without even touching the wheels when I paid for a Wheel Deal. The whole thing was such a waste of time and money.

Shout out to Logan and his crew for being awesome human beings! My car needed extra special care on a very bad day and they went well above and beyond to help. I cant express how grateful I am for their kindness.

They use Covid as a excuse to not pull your floormats and wash them. They quickly wipe over the dust on the dash and other surfaces and leave the dirty residue in plain site. I will have to re clean almost everything.

My car looks great after going through here, I appreciate the new safety measures also.

First of all, Beth was very friendly and helpful as soon as I drove up. I had never been to Waterway before, but all the employees I encountered seemed like they really liked their jobs.I gave a generous tip to the helpers, and the manager stopped by to remind me that I had a clean guarantee for 5 days. I am going back to get my free carwash, and listen to more friendly banter. A very pleasant experience!

This is my go-to car wash because of the good price for the wash types. service is fast even if its packed as they always have plenty of staff. frequently, a manager even steps in to detail or dry, and one time a manager helped me reattach my skid plate after the undercarriage pressure washers knocked out loose. I docked them one star because they always forget something. staff friendliness and competence varies as most of them are students of JCCC across the street, but the place is very well managed.

We went in and paid for the most expensive interior & exterior clean and detail we picked the truck up right before closing so it was too dark to tell how well of a job they did. The next morning we were pretty disappointed. The grill still had a lot of spots that didnt look good and there are a lot of white wax splotches on the outside. The interior left white film in a lot of spots. The seems of the seats still had dirt in them and the cup holders look like they hadnt been touched. Overall definitely not impressed

They take care of my works vehicles. Pretty decent prices on gas, especially when you sign up for the free waterway membership card.Getting an annual membership is the way to go if you like to take your vehicle someplace for a quick wash.

These guys do not do what they say they will, complain and act like they dont care when you wont drive off in a muddy vehicle and they take no responsibility for or try to make up for their mistakes. They just flat out dont care about you or your vehicle. They only care about getting all the cars done as quickly as possible with the bare minimum effort.

I dont recommend this place to anyone.Today, I went there to get my first car wash and i spent $14 dollar and after that there was still dirt on my car rims. Also there is no self vacuum service that almost all car wash service provides . Highly disappointed :(

Rating 5 stars to bring the rating up for this place. They do a lot better job here than a lot of other places. Nowhere is perfect but this place is good quality and value. The Whole Thing package is good because the 5 day clean car guarantee can be used to get a second full exterior and interior wash for free within the five days. Management good at this location at time of review. They deserve more than a 2.6 star rating on Google Maps so trying to bump it up for the guys doing a good job there.

Get a membership! Its so worth it

They did an excellent job of washing my car. They allow you to inspect the job when completed and will do any touch up work requested. Waterway runs your car through a car wash and then hand dry and clean. There are several services available from a simple car wash all the way up to a complete detailing.

Have you noticed that a lot of the auto car washes in Kansas City seem to be closed? Well this one is still open and is a great wash at a reasonable price: go through the machine and then have your car hand dried and checked over, all for just $7 bucks and change. Conveniently located just off the freeway, with swift and friendly service, would certainly recommend you try them out.

Got a car wash today. Air temp was 1. One. As in one degree above freezing. They had the car wash running with excellent staff to wipe down the interior, glass and paint to ensure no spots, no streaks. Staff was fantastically pleasant, polite, and happy to be there. Extremely pleased with the service and quality of the car wash. Very nice C-Store as well, with Rotisserie coffee, car accessories and a very comfortable waiting area while your car is getting a full service wash. If I could give them 6 stars I would.

All I can say is thankfully we didnt pay for the more expensive service. We paid $38 and our car got washed by teenagers that have no idea how to wash a car. It is filthy and sticky and streaks everywhere. This company could be great but they do a horrible job. Definitely not worth the money at all.

Im a circle member so I get everything done. This is one of the 2 best locations. First time visit was Yesterday. I was very pleased to say the least. The reason for the 4 star instead of a 5 was the wait time. Which should tell you that a lot of people trust these guys with their vehicle!!! I was pleased! I took a honda odyssey and paid for the full service with the cargo area. It was $28. Money well spent! I was very pleased with this place and the service I received.

My go to car was in the Overland Park area. I’ve been to some of the other waterways but this one is the best in my opinion. Crew is super careful and courteous with my BMW. Attention to detail is also top notch. Friendly staff. Would recommend

If I could give a zero, I would. Came in here for a full service when their basic wash cost I believe $7. The attendant told me full service includes outside wash, interior vacuum and cleaning, so I chose the full service. The guy that worked on my car only washed the exterior and vacuumed the interior. My dashboard, cup holder and the doors were not touched. I could have just paid for the basic wash and wipe down my car myself or better still use another car wash. Couldnt come back as I had other appointments. To even think I gave the guy a tip for a terrible job annoys me.

The employees work hard and generally do a good job. The general manager is engaged and cares about customers and his employees. The prices are a bit high, however, for the full service and up washes.

Initially I rated this waterway a three stars questioning the value of the service for the dollar spent. Logan, the general manager, reached out to me and asked if I would answer a few questions for him about my experience. I emailed him and his store manager Tom called. We spoke, he agreed with my point, and he invited me back to show they were made of the right stuff. I highly recommend these guys, and dont be afraid to let them know if youre not satisfied with the service. They will do whatever it takes to get it right! Hats off to both Logan and Tom,

Things like this rarely if ever bother me.. But,, I cant believe they refused to refund $2.00 for something they did not do. Really $2.00? I refuse to ever come back to this establishment and will let everyone know about it.

Waterway Carwash...More like RUN AWAY!I wish there was a 0 star option. The employees working here are not at all interested in working. Its horrible when you pay people for a service and no work is done. I work hard for my money and expect others to do the same when I am a paying customer.I took my car here for a wash/interior clean today. The over all outside wash was “just okay”. They left bug smears on the front bumper. (I had to come home and wipe off the dirt on my back bumper/trunk)The Full Service, for $35 plus tax; was a mediocre clean on the inside (and that’s putting it nicely).The carpets and mats were barely vacuumed and the seats were not even vacuumed. (mats were put back in the car soaking wet).The door jambs werent even wiped (they missed all of the dirt, dust, pet hair, etc...) Plus all the little compartments like the center console areas and on the door were never touched.They barely wiped down the inside. The windows were still wet, dirty and streaked inside, and more lint was left on my windows/dash than went I went in. (Had to reclean all my windows, because they used dirty rags and had left gray streaky stuff all over all my windows)Do not give this place your hard earned money!

I like the various options for car washes and that as a club member my had prices are reduced as well. The crews always do a great job wipng off my cars exterior and cleaning the interior when I choose that option. The greeting cards, snacks, and drinks they have inside are nice as well.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY GOING HERE!!!!!I wont be returning to this car wash again! I went last night and paid $40 (after a tip) to have my car washed inside and out. They were done with my car by the time I walked in, bought a bottle of water & air freshener, paid, and walked outside. When I got in my car I was extremely disappointed and understood why my car was cleaned inside & out in less than 10 minutes. They barely wiped down the inside...the windows were still wet, dirty and streaked inside, and all the little compartments like the center console areas & on the door were never touched. The dash & around the radio was still dusty. The outside was still dirty and there was still bugs on the windshield. I still havent looked at my tires cause I figure they werent done either. I couldve saved $35 and just paid $5 to drive through some gas station car wash and had the same quality cleaning...if not better. Also with there discount card you get $.03 off a gallon for gas but there gas is $.10 more a gallon than other gas stations. WHAT A JOKE!!!!

This ONE star is to the acting manager who was In Charge on August 4, 2019.Some young punk kid whom I never met but whom surely didnt exhibit all options to expedite a problem created by Audrey the cashier.Audrey made a simple mistake and Im ok with that and the business itself is great. The young crew there did an excellent job and seemed fairly friendly and competent.Not getting into the Customer Service details concerning my incident, Ill just repeat again that the manager on that day needs further adult training.I had to call the sister location on 8110 W 135th St to ask the acting manager (Patrick Cruz) on duty to help out getting the problem solved. He expedited results in less than 10 minutes.I hope Patrick and his results orientated attitude is enacted by the rest of his staff.Thank you Patrick and an F for Fail to the acting Sunday manager at 12100 College Ave.

As someone who worked at a car wash throughout college, I know how difficult and under-appreciated the job can be. Many customers are greedy and expect more than what they pay for and some of them are just outright rude and obnoxious. This car wash does a great job each time on both my car and my wife’s car and they handle things incredibly well. 5 stars for this location.

Best place to wash your car

Been coming to this carwash so much that I recently became a member. They are friendly people and are really efficient at what they do. I definitely recommend this place to my friends.

These young males & females do a very good job. Anyone giving a bad review may not have had the experience of doing this type of work. And anyone reading this TIP well at both the entrance & the exit. If you have ever worked for tips you know how well they are appreciated.$2.00 per person is not going to break anyones bank. Try to remember being that age and how grateful you were for tips if you ever had to work for tips. This is KS folks its either hot or cold wet or dry our 4 seasons.

Well I’m not sure where to start. I took my car here for a wash on my lunch break today, and the over all wash was good on the outside and mediocre on the inside. For $35 plus tax and tip I was slightly disappointed. However, this is not my big complaint. My real complaint is that I came away missing a floor mat. I have extras to protect my carpet..... but the one that was missing was the Subaru one I had to pay extra for when I bought my car. I tried to be nice, but it was frustrating. Frustrating because they made me feel like the mat was never there. Like I just lied and said I had a mat before, and now it’s missing. In the end they brought out a Subaru mat, and gave it to me saying they had one in the back. This was nice.... but they still ended making me feel like the mat was never there in the first place. It was. I tore my car apart upon arriving to work, and asked my husband to check the garge. Not there. While I appreciate the attempt to make it up.... I’m still left with mismatched mats and the feeling like it was all my fault when I spent almost $45 with tip to get a mediocre clean and come out missing a mat.

I work close to this place. I bought the full deal and paid $35.00 and some cents. Sure, at this price I could come back within 7 days for a free wash.I even gave a great tip after I asked that they wipe my steering wheel cover( piece between the steering wheel and instrument panel), my dash and the driver side door(dirt scuff evident).It was a ridiculous price to pay for the sub par job done.I normally drive to that car wash in Stanley that has Green in its name. They do a much better job inside and out, plus price is more reasonable and they do not accept tips. I was told they pay their employees good, so they dont rely on tips.I will drive past or wait to get my car washed in the future instead of getting it done here. I visited in June and it took me this long to leave feedback.Maybe this is the type of service Johnson County is accustomed to, but I am not. I work hard for my $$$ and expect others to do the same when I am a customer.

I came in today January 13th, 2020, expecting to get the $20 Full service. However, the salesman did a great job at up selling me to get the $36 package (plus $2 because I have an SUV with third row seating). He stated it would include wiping down the dash, the seats and floormats,.something to do with an air freshner, and some other stuff. Before leaving, I am happy I opened the hatch because my trunk size floor mat hadnt been taken out and wiped like the other floor mats, it hadnt even been opened. I wasnt expecting they would raise the seats (although everything is electronic and super easy) but I was expecting the backs of the seats to be at least vacuumed in the folded down position, and the floor mat to be wiped down, as thats why I have to pay they $2 extra. I mentioned this to one of the guys, and they did it. I wasnt opening it to be picky, but to grab the car seat I had placed back there, so I could get my daughter back in the car. Now I wish I wouldve looked at the interior more, because the dash wasnt wiped down, and neither were any of the door compartments/cup holders. Neither was the cup holders in the front between the two seats. Now, before I came in, I made sure I threw away all of the trash in my car to make things easier to vacuume and wipe down. That being said, there was no trash in the door compartments that needed to be taken out, nor on the floors, or in the back. Last, I am not sure if there was supposed to be an air freshner placed in my car, or whatever they used to clean my car to smell like air freshner, but I had neither. I wish I wouldve just stuck with my $20 Full service because thats what I felt I received, and thats what I was basically given.

Biggest waste of money ever! $38 for them to wipe my car out with a dirty rag. Honestly it is dirtier now than it was when we took it in. We had to ask them to wipe a few spots they completely ignored but overall the car isnt clean at all. The windows look horrible and are sticky. They cleaned my car with dirty, sticky rags! The whole service took less than 10 minutes and the cleanliness of the car reflects that. And my carpet floor mats are soaking wet because they put the drenched mats back in without drying them. It was my first time ever coming here and definitely my last. Maybe other locations are better but this was ridiculous.

My Subaru did double duty this year when I moved. It was in pretty bad shape, but their cleaning and vacuuming were really thorough. And the staff were very responsive and nice when I lowered a seat in cargo area exposing some more debris. Good business. I’ll be returning! Thanks!
