Wanted a pedicure, nails removed, and a manicure. My boyfriend and I were getting pedicures and both of us had terrible service. Neither of us recieved good pedicures. The bare minimal was done trimming and filing. There was no massage. They put scrub on and rinsed off right away. Put lotion on and wiped off with towel right away. Paraffin wax placed out feet in and took off within two minutes. Barely scrubbed bottom of our feet that they are still rough on both of us. Not to mention they switched people who was servicing my boyfriend and she didnt know what she was doing. Then she was told to go do something else so she just stopped foing anything for my boyfriend and said good bye When I had my nails taken off two people the whole entire time made me feel bad about having them taken off. When they said they were done taking them off had me wash my hands and as I was drying them came over to me to rush me back to the station. Didnt ask me how I wanted my nails shaped but the way they shaped them was terrible! All jagged not even. Left melted acrylic on my hands and under my real nails. Said I was done and didnt even paint my nails. The lady who i believe is the owner was extremely pushy and rude. They even have signs up that say of you are u happy with service they wont do anything about it once you leave... that made us uncomfortable to even say anything. We just wanted to leave. We will definitely not be back!

Great experience! They were so kind to my daughter, and the design I received was exactly like the picture I brought with me. We will make more appointments there in the future.

The atmosphere in is great. Took over a month to find an establishment in the area with professionalism. I am just relieved to find a relaxing nail spa where the staff makes the environment very pleasant. I will be back!!!

First Time there and had Lana as my nail tech. She was so amazing, very sweet. My Gel nails got messed up from a different place and she fixed them for me and they look absolutely beautiful! 10/10 would recommend

This is the best nail place in Ottawa. Lana is amazing. She tries to get it just right no matter how crazy the nail art request. She is patient, kind and super sweet. Making an appointment is easy and I would recommend to anyone.

The pedicure wasnt bad but I got the powder dip on my hands and it didnt even last a week!

The worst pedicure I have ever received. Lisa basically trimmed my nails and painted my toes. She brought the wax in the bag and walked off. When she came back, the wax had already hardened and it was never put on my feet. I paid $45!

Im a OTR driver, star nails was recommended to me by a local..I went and asked for lisa.. Im very picky bout my nails and feet and they did an amazing job, very friendly and lisa did her thang on my nails. Anytime Im in Ottawa, star nails is where Ill be😁 and was able to park my truck in the lot next door.

Spacious, beautiful shop with welcoming staff. I arrived as a walk-in an hour before close on a Friday night and Lisa was great. Not only was she very tentative but helpful in picking a new color for me when the one I chose didnt have much left in the bottle. Highly recommend!

Definitely not the best priced I got a full set and toe nails just painted 65$ WOW expensive!Grabbed a price list when I left 15$ for my toes and 35$ and up for my nails medium length not sure how I ended up paying 65$ dollars?!?! Nails are all different not the best filling job so I would definitely go here again if I was desperate!

Despite the reviews, I decided to come to Star Nails. With lots of regret, I now can relate to the other negative reviews. The pedicure was horrible, he did not take pride in his work. I had to point out areas that he didnt even touch. Not to mention it only lasted 15-20 min. Now for my nail service, Lisa is very money hungry. She gave me a price over the phone and when I came in for a gel fill in, no repairs, no cut downs, just wanted good service, she waited to the end ofmy service to up charge me . Not to mention she couldnt explain why. Maybe because the salon was empty and she needed to pay her bills. I will not waste my time anymore.

My first time at this nail salon and my experience was terrible from the start. I walk in and a girl in sweatpants with an attitude asks me what I want which was a deluxe pedicure. As I’m trying to choose the other nail techs just stare at me. No smile, no hello welcome to Star Nails. The vibe was completely dead and depressing. She has me pick a color then has me sit in the pedicure chair with no water to soak my feet and walks away. I sat there awkwardly for 10 minutes and nobody to help me or even suggest how long the wait would be. I proceed to stand up and put by shoes on and gather my things and walk out and the techs just stare at me as I walk past not even asking or wondering why a paying customer is walking out unhappy. Never going back again.

Never have your wedding party get your nails done here. 3/5 manicures for the bridesmaids turned out horrible. My nails looked like garbage by day five and they didnt even cut off my cuticles or push them back and the nail shape was completely uneven. I spent 50 dollars on them. The people are nice but wish they would of took more time on my nails.

I went into this nail salon and asked if I could speak to the owner I explained to her that I only had a little money this time I had paid $55 for a full set a week prior and I just wanted them cut down and shaped because I cut them at work but it was uneven and bad looking, long story short she called the technicians over and they laughed a me and spoke in another language. I told her I just wanted to get the no chip off since I was feeling disrespected, because that has to be removed by the shop. They continued to laugh at me and talk about how bad my nails looked I paid the nail tech and gave him a tip. I went home and felt discriminated and embarrassed especially since my boyfriend warned me before I left the house they would just overcharge me and take advantage.

Had a couple Pedicures about a year ago, was not happy at all. Went home bleeding after trying to communicate that she was hurting me, she smiled and kept digging..........gave them a second chance and it was just as bad, a 5 year old could have done a better job.....never again!!!!!

Bad service. Pedicures are always very rushed. Last time I timed my pedicure and it lasted 12 mins start to finish. The “massage” was 30 seconds.

Ive been to every nail shop in ottawa and this one is my favorite, everything is new, spacious, clean, everyone is pleasant, they play netflix,they serve soda and water and my nails are beautiful definitely will be back.

2 stars for spacious and clean I did not feel welcomed, I was not asked or told about the different spa pkg just automatically given the cheapest which is the basic hurry up and get rid of you pkg usually I get the everything pkg and give a nice tip but I was so disappointed by the way he was flying thru my service I didnt even want to ask for the everything pkg . No massage, cuticles looked like I could have done them myself, polish still all around my toes bottom of my feet feel like I never had them done Ive been in nail salons all around the country (because im a truck driver)and this was the worst experience Ive had so far I will never come back here.

I havent been to this place in a while because I wasnt happy with the way I was treated and the service that was given to me. My mother in law and I went there today. && I regret it very much as well does mama. The workers seem to hate their job and they arent friendly at all. When you ask them to help you find a color (like mama did today) they blew her off. So she grab a couple of colors and then when it came to painting her nails she asked where her other colors were because she wanted to compare the dark grays. They lady literally looked up at her and then starting painting her toes... the lady did do a great job with the big toe design. When it came to the massage thats a joke. It was like hugging someone you dont like. Barely there and wasnt good. && when it came to manicure time. The water was cold.. for both mama and I! How is that relaxing for our hands. I asked to make sure the nail polish was to my cuticles. She shook her head. Fine. Then I pointed out some that were not to my cuticles. She touched one of my nails. Ohkay fine. So I let her do her thing until she was getting to the end. I pointed out how the side of my nail wasnt even painted with nail polish. Then she just starting putting the clear coat on!! I literally just wanted to walk out. I was so frustrated!! && this is why I havent been there in a while! But I thought to my self.. Benifit of the doubt. Yeah. Damn joke. && no wonder why they have signs throughout the place talking about if you dont like things they dont listen OR care. && last time I had the owner do my nails and shes RUDE too. Over it. NEVER AGAIN. I DONT RECOMMENDED!

They sat me down and then I ended up waiting 45 min for my acrylic nails. Half way through gettin my nails done the guy got up and left and I waited 15 more min for the guy to come back and finish my nails. They were uneven and only one coat of paint on them. Just AWEFUL will never go back.
