These guys were great and they will bend over backwards for you to make you happy, until they get their check. There were also surprise charges 2 months later. So my advice...make sure that you have everything completed that you expected from them before you pay and get them to confirm that there are no extra charges coming.Here are some details:They accidentally threw away some small parts that went with my unit. Before I paid, they had committed to me that theyd bring the parts to me soon, so I wrote them the check. I just found 5 different documented instanced where I reminded them about those parts, and despite their good intentions and my persistent follow ups, I never did get them.Then, about 2 months later I got a bill from one of their suppliers for additional parts that were never discussed. I paid the supplier because I happen to have a personal relationship with them. Desert Star apologized and agreed to reimburse me the amount because it should have been included in what I had already paid.I gave them a month to respond (no response), and then followed up with three points (again with no response):1) Where are those missing parts?2) Where is the reimbursement?3) My unit is leaking and staining my concrete, can you come take a look to see if something was installed incorrectly?Now, about a year later, the unit that we hardly ever use, and that should last 10s of years, isnt working at all. Unfortunately Ive run out of patience to continue to follow up with these guys to get everything squared away.I could see how others have had a great experience with them, but ours has been unfortunately painful.

Wayne and his team were prompt and provided great service at a great value. I appreciate the little things they noticed and fixed along the way. Love my new A/C - wish Id bought my furnace from them a couple of years ago.

I seriously thought that the reviews could be fake. But after having my furnace tuned up and fixed, this company is awesome! They offered a great bid, lower than any others. The owner provided tips, fixed some little things that he really didnt need to do, and was very honest. I will always use this company and recommend them to others.

Desert Star exceeded my expectations! I knew my furnaces were not functioning well. My house was constantly dusty, my gas bill was high and the furnaces kept turning on over and over again. I called Desert Star and got an appointment quickly. The HVAC technician showed up on time! He was professional (not sketchy at all) and put me at ease. He cleaned and tuned up the entire system. Poor work ethics. I wanted a quote on approximate cost for furnace issue but all Wayne said is to wait and see. He had to see it first. My husband thought it was the motor but no, Wayne would not even give me any info on that possibility. He didnt come out and was told by his employee it was the motor. it was replaced under 30 minutes. I wanted a detail invoice and he said he would give one to me-HE DID NOT. He sent me an invoice that said motor $600. I have no idea what exactly I was paying for and he would not divulge the information. I was horrified when his workers left our freshly cleaned carpet on the stairs with mud and dirt.I told him I was upset about that because I have a bad back and my husband has Parkinsons along with bad knees and back. It was difficult for us to clean with our carpet cleaner. He said he would have someone come to clean up the mess. HE DID NOT! He has no intention on following through on his what he claimed he would do. I tried emailing and calling and nothing-I am tired of waiting! I question his work ethics and integrity and I will not be doing business with them again!

Fast, honest, and affordable. Desert Star has helped our family in two important moments. The first winter we were in our house, the glow plug hot surface igniter in our furnace broke right after Christmas. All other HVAC repair companies were slow to respond while our house got dangerously cold for our young children. Desert Star went out of their way to help us get it fixed immediately. I wish I had called them first.I was so impressed that I remembered them a couple summers later when our air conditioner had problems. Again, they had it fixed quickly. I braced myself for a huge bill but they kept the charges low. I definitely will be contacting Desert Star anytime I have HVAC repair needs.
