I absolutely love this barbershop! My son is not a fan of getting his haircut in general, but he LOVES Braxton! Braxton is great with kids and very patient. Even with a squirmy five year old Braxton still has given my son the BEST haircuts! If you are looking for a great kids haircut 10/10 would recommend Capital City Barbershop!

I decided to check this Barbershop out because my barber Mark Mcdaniel left Vs Barbershop, and came here. Capital City is a small basic shop in the arts district, but it has a very friendly professional accommodating talented staff. I recommend this place. Mark will continue to be my barber.

Absolutely Amazing I will definitely be going back here again. Braxton is awesome absolutely love him already. It’s really difficult to find a person that can do my hair the way I like it and he definitely did my beard and hair fantastically.

Clayton did a fantastic job with my cut. He fixed my previous cut and had great suggestions for styling as well. This was my first time at Capital City but the employees made me feel like a regular. Extremely happy with my experience and hope to remain a customer for years to come.

Im in OKC for work and spent like 30 minutes researching the shops here and choose this one. I was not disappointed at all. Everything from booking over the phone to the cut was awesome. Braxton was ready 10 minutes before my appointment time. He took his time and made sure my fade and cut were perfect. He took time after I was done explaining the difference between two different styling products. The other staff were super cool as well. Ill be back for another cut before I leave the city. I can’t say enough good things about this place and my experience. My appointment started right on time. Braxton gave me a completely new hairstyle and explained everything as he went along. I absolutely love the finished product. The shop is very clean and the staff is professional, friendly, and makes their clients feel welcomed. I’m happy to say that I’m now a regular customer!

Mark gave me an excellent haircut and I will certainly return. He listens and works with you. I noticed ongoing sanitizing and mask wearing during my appointment. The shops interior has a refreshing look and clean appearance.

Honestly I dont know where all these good reviews are coming from. I booked an appointment for a regular haircut, Im a male with short curly hair. I wanted to just touch up my previous haircut which was simply fades on the sides and on the back of my head and a quick trim on the top. Well after 3 attempts I was trying to explain how I wanted my hair done, still he took something like 45 mins and did an awful job. The fades were uneven and asymmetrical (you could see the lines in between), and I had to pay $50 for that?? He was not experienced, but rather very hesitant and insecure, which is frustrating for a client. Im sorry to say that but I have to be honest. It might be a good place to take your kids for a simple haircut, but definitely I will not come back if I need a clean professional haircut.

This is long overdue. Ive been getting my haircut here for a long time (over 2 years I think!). Excellent! I can go in confidently without concern about whether or not Levi will do a good job. Very friendly staff, clean, and timely. Highly recommend!

One of the better barber shops Ive been to. The pricing is VERY reasonable considering the level of service provided. Very modern and up-to-date. Ive only ever gotten beard trims with Clayton Reece, and he is phenomenal! I suggest calling if youre a first-time customer, that way they can gauge who would best serve you, and set you up an appointment. I also very much appreciate that they are requiring masks, and their updated cleaning procedures.TL:DR Good shop, good people, good price. 💙

Wow... I feel like I just got the royal treatment from Artie and staff. This was my first time and when I entered the front man called me by name and then offered me a beverage.Artie then proceeded to treat me: Haircut, beard shape, hot towel, blade shave, cool towel, and product. I don’t know if my wife will ever let me cut my own beard again because it’s never looked this nice.Artie made great recommendations for my beard and has a very steady hand (much appreciated with the blade.)Overall, I highly recommend Capital City and Artie if you are looking for quality cuts, relaxing atmosphere, and professional yet friendly staff.

By far the best barber shop in the area. We live in Shawnee and the 35 mile drive to Capital City Barber is totally worth it. My husband and 7 year old son have both seen Artie a couple times, and he’s incredible at what he does. I’m pretty sure we’ll never go anyplace else. For a newbie in town, this place is god-send. I go with Susan and she is awesome. She gives great haircuts and provides wonderful advice as to how to take of your hair and to properly style it. The salon is very accessible with staff that are friendly and welcoming. The energy in the shop is vibrant and totally nonjudgmental.

All of the staff is very professional. Having tried several barbershops around the city, this is the first one to listen to what I wanted and tried (successfully) to do it. All of the barbers are great.

Good experience from start to finish. Needed a cut the day of, and Capital City is close by; their website is easy to navigate, and making an appointment was a breeze. Location is easy, and the shop itself is nicely done. Was greeted immediately by Jake and offered a beverage, and Stephani cut my hair. In and out in 30 or so minutes, and was happy with the result. Very professional, and I will definitely be back!

I stumbled on Capital City when I moved here, and Levi has done a great job ever since. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly, and the cut and attention to detail in their processes are both great.I have only had Levi cut my hair because he does a great job, but I would bet that everyone here is great. Levi even was very patient and did a great job with my 1-year old.

Best barber shop in OKC. Prior to moving away, consistently went here for about 2 years, primarily to Levi who cuts great hair. Occasionally, I would have to go to another barber and, truly, never had a bad experience. Couldnt recommend it more highly.

I really love this place! I started visiting Capital City almost a year ago and have always had a great experience. Stephani is super chill, easy to work with.There are a ton of “cool” shops popping up around town. If you want a simple, quick haircut in a shop with good vibes and great people this is the place to go.

It doesnt get much better than this place. Staff is super friendly and incredibly talented but also super chill, which to me is very important. So if you want the best haircut you can get in the OKC area in a relaxing cool environment, this is your place.

Ive been going to these Capital City since its opening and follow the lead Barber Jake here from another shop.The entire staff is super friendly and produce the most quality cuts period. Ive recommended them to 20+ friends and family and no one has ever been disappointed with their services. On the contrary they always surpassed all levels of expectations!

It went TOO DAMN WELL. I was IMMEDIATELY greeted when I walked in, some would call that over attentive. The facility was clean, abnormally clean, as if there was no hair being cut. Coincidence? Paranoia? Probably. My session was scheduled for 4pm, it started at 404pm.  Outrageous. I was apologized to for this NO LESS than 4 times. Clearly 3 apologies would have sufficed. My stylist, Lucy, began with a sincere/ well rehearsed introduction and asked how I felt about my hair. I was not prepared for existential inquiry regarding my hair, thirty points docked from gryffindor for over complication.  The haircut itself took much less time than anticipated, was plagued by interesting conversation, and came out much better than the unrealistic idea I had in my head. Witchcraft is suspected. As the worlds greatest cynist, I am infuriated by the inability to complain about anything I have been left with.

Awesome place. Everyone was extremely friendly. I was able to sneak in last second and Rose really hooked it up. Go check it out!
