I’m writing this review after my second haircut. I have nothing bad and everything good to say about this business and the stylists that have helped me! I certainly felt privileged the second time when Tia gave me a fantastic haircut! She was very kind, and knew exactly what to do while dealing with my potentially difficult hair. I highly recommend her service! As for the business itself, I have only the best to say! The atmosphere here is excellent, the lady at the counter makes you feel very welcome and the professionalism all around is apparent. Consequently, I look forward to my next haircut with the best team in OKC!

This place is amazing at every step. Customer service is phenomenal and always helpful! Lexy cut my hair today and did an awesome job!! The wife was happy, so it’s a win! 1 November 2018 - My first visit. Sydney was my Stylist, and she was amazing! This is the best haircut Ive had in a long time! Great environment, good music, and super friendly staff (thanks Danny). FYI Emergency Services, Military, and Veterans get 50% off membership!!!UPDATE (10 April 2019) EITR is the best! I went in for my regular haircut... to find out they had a drawing for their members for a 55 inch TV... Guess who won... THIS GUY!!! Thanx guys!!! Really appreciate the good vibes this place generates.

I had a really great experience at Elephant in the Room. Im new to the realm of having a short haircut as a woman and Lexy did a great job walking me through what she was doing and why. She also did a fantastic job with the haircut itself as well as the other services. If youre thinking of trying out EITR, its definitely worth it with their $1 first time haircut offer - and even worth it at full price :)

Just a first-class establishment. They always make it a priority to give you just the cut you want, and take notes for later appointments. This place was a lifesaver! I need to get my haircut last min. On new yrs Eve and Emily took the time to squeeze me in and did a great job. I travel for work and get my hair cut all over, I will definitely come back here when I am in town to get it cut again by Emily.

Elephant in the Room is the best place to get your haircut in OKC. I cannot speak highly enough of Tia who always cuts my hair. She does an AMAZING job and she is so personable and kind. I actually enjoy getting my haircut, which was never the case before. I wish I could give more than a 5 star rating.

Always a great experience getting my hair cut here. I’ve only had it cut by Lexi and caitlynn before but they are both very good at what they do. One visit here made me switch from a place I was going to for 4 years, that says enough right there.

Passing through town and needed a hair cut. I usually just look through places that have walk ins or with good reviews. I found this place online and was intrigued by the 1$ cut for first timers. Signed up and got a call within 10 min to schedule a cut on the same day. My stylist was Kendra! She was very friendly and provided feedback and recommendations on the style I wanted. It was easy to make an appointment online! When I showed up I was greeted immediately by my stylist, Sydney. Not only did she give me a great haircut but the conversation felt genuine and the atmosphere relaxing. In fact it was so great that I signed up for a membership after my first visit.

I guess google only lets you do one review, so here is my updated review: Ive had Tia, Sierra, and Kendra all cut my hair and do a fantastic job of it. They all take great notes on your style so the next time you come in theyll remember your cut. The paraffin hand wax was surprisingly nice the first time, so I get it every time as part of my membership add-ons. The discounted membership for military and first responders is awesome, but membership is still well worth it even for the full price! Sadly Im moving in a week or so, so this was my last time in, but Ill recommend this place to anyone! 6 out of 5 stars!

I went for the dollar haircut and it was an amazing experience. Lexy is awesome!! Its such a relaxing experience I almost fell asleep especially with the scalp massage. No reason not to check them out especially when your first haircut is only a dollar.

This place is awesome and I gotta say, Elephant In The Room makes sure you have a Great Experience no matter what. Very impressed by this place! I didnt know or even understand they actually log what you like for a hair cut so you get it every single time, done the same. So far I have been to both locations in OKC and both did an amazing Job. Kendra is awesome! She can cut my hair anytime and I can tell you Im a freak when it comes to new people doing my hair, Im the kind of guy who likes the same person to cut my hair, every time.....but it really doesnt matter at Elephant in the Room. You can get a complete Deluxe Service for only a dollar with no commitment to sign up, but if you sign up you get unlimited clean ups and a monthly hair cut to keep you looking sharp. As some one who just moved here from LA, I can tell you Elephant in the Room is a breath of fresh air. They sit you down, pour you a drink...and then they dont just cut your hair...they pamper a man how hes supposed to be. I cant see how anyone wouldnt love coming to this place.

Caitlyn, at the Nichols Hills location, always does a great job. She’s the main reason I continue coming back to Elephant in the Room all the way from Texas. I highly recommend her and this location.

Just moved to the area and needed to find somewhere for a haircut. Being a woman with short hair, I worried that this place would not be for me since it is a men’s salon. However, they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable! Kendra cut my hair and took one look at the picture and cut my hair perfectly! The environment was amazing and I signed up for a membership that day!

I had Lexi as my stylist and she was amazing. Service was top notch. Haircut was amazing. Definitely will be back.

Moved to OKC 4 months ago, was recommended Elephant in the Room and haven’t looked back since. Kendra is an amazing stylist and uses her expertise to provide an excellent haircut every time. The membership system also makes it easy to schedule monthly appointments.

Amazing first time haircut service with Tia! She was down to earth with our conversations. Gentle with the clipper with me having sensitive skin.First timers gets a great experience for a very low price of $1 but that gets donated back to the community! I never write reviews but feel like I have to for this place cause we love our barber. Hands down the only place I will take my son. He loves Sierra and she always gives him the cut he likes. I wouldn’t go anywhere else and he only wants her to cut his hair!!!

Sierra fixed up my husband’s hair from a different barber shop mess up and she did an amazing job! This place does $1 for your first hair cut and goes the extra mile of giving you an essential oil scalp massage and a wax hand treatment. We will definitely be returning when we come back to Oklahoma to visit family.

Great first experience with EITR @ their May location. Peggy was awesome, and attention to detail was superb. I went for the $1 haircut, but Ill be going back for sure.

Leaving a negative review for a barber shop is tricky, because I dont want to hurt business for the stylists. Tia did an amazing job and Im really happy with the work she did. If youve decided to go with EITR, book with her!However, know that the business on the whole is a bit shady. Their normal prices arent posted anywhere on their website, all they advertise is for their $1 first time haircut -- which was obviously a big draw for me. But after my first visit to get a beard trim, I was asked to pay full price. I assumed that I had missed out on the deal.Later, when I saw that they were still offering this deal on their website, I contacted the call center about it. They told me that the deal was only for a haircut, not the beard trim. However, the beard trim is also advertised under the $1 deal (pictured). When I told customer service this, he just told me that it shouldnt have said that. He did not offer to make it right by honoring the advertised price.Ive never been intentionally misled by a business like this. They should be more upfront with their regular prices on their website (even as a franchise, you can post individual PDFs for each locations prices), and honor the discounts that they do advertise. I am happy to pay full price as long as I know what Im expected to pay when I make the appointment.

This place is legit. They listen to what you want, they know how to make your ideas look good, and the eucalyptus and tea tree oil used in the deluxe pack is really refreshing. Sara got it right as well as anyone since my last barber retired.The price after the first time is worth it as well. A proper haircut is always cheaper than trying to fix what the chain places do.

I had my first haircut here with Caytlin and it was great. They were ready for me when I arrived, Caytlin asked me what I wanted and did exaclty toy what I asked. I imagine it’s difficult to cut a persons hair for the first time, but she was a pro. My first cut was $1, amazing. They gave me the “pitch” about the monthly membership before I left, which I’m glad they did. They did not make me feel obligated in any way and were very professional about their delivery. I run a business myself and I know how uncomfortable it can be to sell your services. The prices for the haircuts are very competitive and I couldn’t have been happier about the service. Along with the monthly membership, you get unlimited cleanups throughout the month. I may not come back more than once a month but knowing that I can is a great benefit. I’m looking forward to making this my regular spot and recommending it to all my friends.

In the stressful everyday journey called life, Elephant in The Room offers not only great haircuts, but a relaxing experience, and for a pretty great price. My first experience was with Kendra, and if every other person there is half as good as she was, I’ll definitely be back. I also 100% recommend the deluxe package to (in the words of Parks and Rec) “Treat yo self!”

It was my first time here since I am native to Minnesota. Compared to what ive been too in Minnesota, Elephant in the room treats you much better and listens to what you need done. The hair stylist Syd did a wonderful job with my hair and is well recommended. I will definitely be back for another haircut on my next business trip.

My husband found the Elephant in the Room while looking for a place to get a haircut. We didnt have an appointment and tried to do a walk in at the other location. They didnt have any openings, but the employee helped us set up an appointment at this location.Our overall experience was great! Everyone was very nice, chatty, and helpful. Caitlin cut my husbands hair and did a wonderful job! He already set up an appointment for next month.

Sierra was fantastic in terms of both the haircut (which was fantastic) and general chattiness. I have a very niche hair cut and Sierra did it PERFECTLY! I’ll certainly be back to get my haircut by Sierra. Sarah was very welcoming too. The add ones were also great!Thanks guys, can’t recommend enough. So I needed a haircut. My wife found this place and I have to say it’s pretty awesome for something she found. The intro special is awesome, $1 haircut and you get a TON for it. My stylist was Caitlyn and she was very professional, friendly, charismatic, and of course very great at giving me a hair cut. I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a great experience as well as an awesome cut.

I searched for a place that was tailored to mens haircuts and beard trims. I am so very pleased with EITR and my decision to go there. Kendra did an AMAZING job with the mess that I presented her. I have already made my appointment for next month.

Should have guessed 5 stars can’t be real. Just an over glorified Supercuts with far more emphasis put on the “extras” than the hair cut itself. My stylist did a quick and terrible job. Avoid, go to a real salon or barber and not this over marketed hack shop

I would just like to start off by saying I am not one to do Google reviews unless the experience was bad! And with that being said this Google review will be different. The experience I had at this place was very good! My stylist Tia was amazing and so is the staff at the front counter! I loved my experience there and like other Google reviews they did not keep repeating and hounding me about memberships. I am going to sign up for the deluxe membership because it will be well worth the money spent! The only thing bad that I have to say about the place is that I didnt notice it until I was driving home that my haircut was uneven. Now I understand this was the first haircut and it was only a buck but when I go in for the price that Im going to pay for the deluxe membership Im going to expect it to be an even fade on both sides. But other than that my experience now is what I expect my experience to be in the upcoming visits that I plan on coming back to have and that would be excellent.

Oh boy I got an amazing haircut and style from Caitlyn, she was easy to talk to very professional. She even let me put wax all over my hands and bag them up. She hit me with the fantastic scalp massage that almost put me to sleep. Then she fixed my hair and got it exactly like I’ve been trying to get it to look. Wow!!! I absolutely love the is place, I went for the $1 first time hair cut and I didn’t hesitated on becoming a member because of how great my experience was, big shout out to Tia, she’s definitely a pro at what she does and was really nice from beginning to the end...

I came across the $1 deal and thought I would give it a shot and Im glad I did. As soon as I walked in the front staff was very courteous and asked if I wanted something to drink. After checking in it didnt take long for my stylist Tia to come up front to get me. To start she ask for my coat and hung it up then she took me over to sit down for my haircut. Tia was very nice and was easy to talk to and she listened to all of my questions about trying something new for the style. After my cut I put my hands into a some sort of a wax dip and they came out really smooth. I loved the washing, hot towel, and scalp massage she gave me as well. Would definitely recommend trying out this place. Hands down best shop I have been to and you get a lot for the price you pay. I will definitely be back next month for another haircut with Tia.
