The Good Life IS the best in the game. I had been a regular since their opening and have since moved to a new city with a large metro area. And the difficulty in finding a new barber in my new home that comes close to the quality, detail, value and consistency to what you receive at The Good Life is difficult and sometimes feels impossible. I miss this place every time I go to get a haircut in Denver, I even brag to my new barber about how great this place is. Keep at it!

I can’t tell you how refreshing it is to feel comfortable as a woman in a business full of men. These guys have shown a level of professionalism second to none. And Paul has continuously blown me away with his creativity and design skills on my undercut. I’ve moved an hour and a half away, and I’ll still regularly make the trip to Okemos.

After I got my hair cut and shave, I went over to the Meridian Mall to do some shopping. As I was looking around at a store, I was complimented by a beautiful girl on my fresh haircut and beard trim! After a few months of dating we are now engaged, so what else do I need to really say?!?! There is one thing that I forgot, on June 28, nineteen ninety eight, at King of the Ring, Undertaker tossed Mankind off the top of the cell and onto the announcers table during their Hell in a Cell match.

This was my first time coming to The Good Life Shaving Co., and frankly, the only place I will be taking my business from now on. Tyler had the only slot available when I was scheduling and Tyler has my business from here on out. An incredible barber, along with his colleagues. Another great part about the shop is the atmosphere. Throughout the cut, the barbers and customers were all talking, making it feel as if youve been a long time friend/customer of theirs, even though it was my first cut with them. Extremely clean, precise work, immaculate attention to detail, clean welcoming shop, and an atmosphere that you wont get at your typical barbershop. Would recommend to ANYONE. This barber shop is on point with an old time feel! It kind of felt like I went back in time for a second...My wife scheduled me an appointment for Christmas (may I add she has excellent taste)..They take their time to deliver the perfect man-scape. Everyone I saw walk out looked like a new man (including myself).I think she got the full package that included a haircut, beard style/trim and relaxing hot face towel.It seemed like it was best to schedule an appointment on the website because all the chairs were full the whole time.

Lives up to the hype, Tyler is impeccable. Honestly usually I’m down to chat but I was dead after a 24 hour shift. I actually dozed off in the chair! No comment on his end just reclined the chair to stabilize me and kept at his craft. End product was one of the best fades of my life. The whole experience was top notch in regards to the materials used, attitude and general skills. Will definitely return!

This is where the barbers only concern is making you look your absolute best. The attention to detail is impeccable, the atmosphere is comfortable, the conversation is stimulating, and the prices are more than fair for what you get.

Ive been getting my haircuts here for a while now and I have nothing negative to say about this place. Everyone seems to do a great job (I only use one guy) as they definitely have their regulars. I came to Good Life Shaving because one of the barbers Tyler use to cut my hair at Grand River Barber Company. He has always done an excellent job cutting my hair. Go online and make a reservation they are smaller and have fewer barbers and can be hard to walk in. However they always go out of there way to try to get you in that day, or they will help you make an appointment later in the week.

No one comes close to this place. Clean shop where they take their time no matter the cut. Top notch, highly recommend!!

This place is Legit. The prices are a bit steeper, particularly for college students like myself, but if you care enough about how you look to read through the reviews, I promise you its worth it. Tyler has been my barber for the better part of a year now and I dont have a single complaint. Hes incredibly meticulous in his work and never fails to satisfy. Overall, the entire shop is very clean and comfortable, and has a business professional feel to it that I havent found in any other barbershop in the EL/Okemos area. Dont overthink it.

I met my barber Paul while bartending out in east lansing and I was skeptical at first because I haven’t found a true barber shop in this area. That being said I almost feel guilty for being skeptical because my experience there was absolutely incredible, good conversation, good feel to the shop and wicked barbers. Dont go anywhere but here.
