This was our 1st time at Judes and I was extremely disappointed. The appointment was for my 16 yr old son who I have to beg to get a haircut. I scheduled the Judes special which was the option that included all the pampering...except we didnt get any of the extras. I was told it would be a 1 hour appt and we were in and out in less than 30 minutes (and was still charged the full price) The haircut itself is something he could have gotten at the mall for $12. We specifically asked for a fade, which we didnt get. Needless to say we wont be going back, nor will I hesitate to share my disappointment with others.

It was the first time my husband was getting a haircut in this country so both of us felt a bit nervous :) Andrew did an amazing job, he was patient and understanding, took all our preferences into account, and the result definitely exceeded our expectations!

Hair cut was good, but entire visit had to listen to constant profanity and inappropriate pictures on wall. People were nice, but it seems they have built the culture of the barbershop on profanity. Wont be back.

Has a great atmosphere and unique vibe to the entire place. Natalie especially did a wonderful job, no one else understands my mush mouth when I try to explain what I want but she got it and did such a great job. Don’t go too soon before an event or photoshoot. I have been going to Jude’s for years. I had a photo shoot the day after this cut, so I asked to just clean it up a bit and a small trim. In turn I got what looked like a helmet cut and in attempt to fix that I asked to shorten the sides which lead to almost all my hair taken off (2-3in cut off). I really loved coming here and was confident it would look good. I’m upset that I left feeling worse about my hair than I have in a long time. I don’t think I will be returning to Jude’s especially this location anytime soon.

If youve been worried about getting a haircut since things have opened back up - with Judes dont. They cleaned all surfaces and tools before I sat down and they are taking every precaution you could think of to keep their customers and employees safe. Im so glad I went here.That isnt even to mention the fantastic hair cut Andrew gave me. I got the cheapest haircut they have and he still took the time and care to make sure my hair around my ears and neck would grow out properly - this isnt something most do when I get my haircut elsewhere.

Been going to this locsrion for over a year since ive discovered it. The staff are friendly. Experienced, and lovely.

Extremely professional and knowledgeable barbers. It was my first time there and had a great time. Fun conversation and and a great hair cut. Best thing i liked about the place is that the guy doing my hair actually had a diploma for styling and gave me a really good style based on my hair and face shape. Very satisfied will be back for next time. Also, if you are there make sure to go for judes haircut which is just a few bucks more but have a great massage and hair shower.

I leave reviews for businesses often and I have to admit... this is going to be my favorite one to write.Samantha is kind, personable, soft spoken, and she does GREAT hair. I don’t get a conventional haircut. I like my neckline to be a certain way, my hair is very difficult to work with so I request things that would probably drive other barbers CRAZY. Samantha meets all of my requests with grace, kindness, and understanding. In addition, I recommend the Jude’s Cut anytime one is going to this location. The Jude’s Cut includes the shampoo and hot towel. Let me tell you, I go to Samantha just for her head massage. Jude’s, if you’re reading this, have Samantha teach all of your stylists and barbers how to massage a scalp during a shampoo. I have been to several different Jude’s locations and Samantha is by far the best - while making her client feel comfortable. Which is hard to do, sometimes.

I’ve been coming to Jude’s Okemos for haircuts for awhile now, and I can personally vouch for Betsy. She does an excellent job each and every time. Half of the time I forget it’s a haircut because we get so deep into conversation! If you’re looking for someone skilled to cut your hair, make an appointment here with Betsy.

There are not a lot of people around this area who can cut Asian male hair well. I have been to so many places and so many times my hair has been all messed up but finally found her. Betsy is amazing! She always does a great job, super friendly and makes your hair look great. I always leave super happy. There are not a lot of great people like Betsy and I so so so appreciate her!

This was my first time at this Judes outlet. Ive been at others and always had a great experience. This time was no different. Suzanne was my barber and she was amazing. Suzanne took the time to understand how I wanted my hair cut and recommended that I get a scissor cut given my type of hair. She was very thorough and attentive, including when washing my hair, shaving my neck, and giving me a shoulder massage. Suzanne is officially my barber as long as I live in the area!

I have been getting my hair cut and styled at Jude’s in Okemos for quite some time now. They provide exemplary services and are client focused. I have consistently received excellent and precise styles from a few of the artists (but Laura and Natalie are my favs) and they all make you feel welcome and though they have dozens of customers they still know my “story” and it’s little things like that, along with the incredible cut and above and beyond service that I look forward to every month. So, it’s not just a place for men to get their hair cut! They will rock out a woman’s do just as wonderfully! And they ensure it’s what you want and how you like..& what barbershop gives you a massage if you’d like? Jude’s in Okemos is the place where everyone should get their hair cut.

Needed a haircut in a pinch before a last minute business trip. The Lansing area can be hard to find a nice haircut that can taper and razor cut the back neckline. The scheduling and service was painless and very easy. A lot of availability. Emma who was my stylist was great and she really listened to what I wanted done. She was great and I recommend her.

As with any service, quality work comes from quality people. I can only write a rave review for Samantha (delightful), as I have not tried anyone else at the Okemos location. If you are looking for a place to receive haircut, try the Okemos location. The atmosphere is pleasant, and everyone interacts well. It is highly recommended that you make an appointment. Especially for weekends.

Its an ok Barber shop. It would be a lot better if they would take walk ins right away verses telling them to wait due to someone having a scheduled appointment and sometimes not even bother to show up. The inside is one phenomenal though and the ladies are ok except 1.

I am a first time Judes customer, and stopped by the Okemos location on the advice of friends at work. I had the best haircut that Ive had in a long time. I was still growing out my hair from the worst haircut I received from a slightly cheaper competitor. Suzanne was friendly and skillful! They definitely earned a repeat customer today.

Being a woman with short hair I have found a great haircut is such a lost art. I was either left with looking like I had a mans haircut or one that was more traditionally for woman a bit older than myself. I searched for 10 years for a decent stylist, then Koda fixed that. He listens to what I want, offers his opinion when I ask, and gives a very great cut. Im a client for as long as he is cutting hair. I have even brought my 3 sons for hair cuts and have had some of the best compliments on their hair ever. Would totally recommend!

Not the worst haircut Ive had but I wont be going back, not for that price. Didnt notice how uneven the back was until I got home. Dont pay for the straight-razor neck shave either, she missed a lot of spots for such a small area.

If you are a black male do not and I REPEAT DO NOT come here for a hair cut. The barber that cut my hair seriously did not know what she was doing. I asked her specifically is she familiar with African American Hair and she said YES very confidently. I asked for a fade instead of giving me a fade she cut all of my hair off and even left me with patches in my hair. I still paid and did not complain at all even though I was extremely furious. This will be the last time I ever come here for a hair cut. I received no apology from the lady as well.

Used to use Judes all the time. Just recently, they started hiring guys that wear makeup, ear rings and womens attire. I have nothing agaist people who want to appear this way, in fact we should all be comfortable enough in our skin. Thing is, it makes me feel like Im getting my haircut at a Hot Topic or a drag bar. Great atmosphere......just now a little uncomfortable. They usually arent on time either like they used to be. Ive waited 45 minutes several times. Not a great reputaion builder Judes!! I think us guys need a true guys place to get a haircut at. Great Clips sucks bad.

LOVE JUDES! Lyn is the best! I wont have anyone else cut my hair. She knows exactly what I want and how I like it each and every time - showing she pays attention to her customers. All the ladies there are super-friendly and all do a great job - my son has had a few of the ladies there cut his hair. After having gone to Great Clips, SuperCuts, and SportClips in the oast - all in Okemos - and having each one of them botch mine or my sons haircuts in one way, shape, or form, I will never go, nor take my son to, anywhere else but Judes!

Not happy to be expecting a woman to cut my hair, only to be surprised by some random dude instead. I reschedule with the lady I had previously, but it created an unnecessaryily awkward circumstance neither he (I would imagine,) or I look look fondly upon. Next time a dude is scheduled to have a dude cut their hair, a heads up or an option to opt out would be appreciated. Judges advertises ladies cutting hair, so anything to the contrary is just confusing.

Probably the worst haircuts I have ever seen. My son went there and his hair looked awful afterwards. Uneven, choppy, thinned out in some spots but not others. My weed whip would have done a better job. They werent particularly friendly and we felt very rushed.
