I’ve gotten 2 haircuts since coming to MSU. Both have been done by Deb at SportClips. I will never go anywhere else for a haircut. The time and effort she puts into every haircut is incredible.

Complete waste of money! I went in and had to wait almost an hour and then when my hair was cut it was so uneven and the wrong length. I had to re-cut my hair on my own because the longer strands of hair were rubbing my neck and irritating my skin and I couldn’t afford to get it redone professionally because of their price. I won’t ever go there again.

This is the only place i go to get my hair cut because the service here is excellent. Would highly recommend if you need a hair cut.

I always enjoy my time here at Sports Clips. I have been coming here for over three years now and never had a bad haircut from this. The MVP experience I also amazing and worth it. This past visit (May 2nd 2021) my Stylist was Deb and I was amazed with her work, as I finally changed how I get my hair cut and she nailed it.If you on the fence about coming here, I hope that this review help you make your decision.

I like this place a lot. You can book online or just walk in. They treated me like a king on my birthday.

I no longer patronize Sport Clips because another customer came in, kids in tow, made a huge fuss about how she had an appointment(the system didnt show one). She complained so much they let her skip with her kids in front of myself and the person in front of me that had appointments and were on the board. It was unprofessional and made me sit there for an hour to get a haircut. Their response when I complained to them was basically a shrug off. The services and employees with regard to haircuts were fine, but the experience was unacceptable and soured me on the business. If youre going to go there, dont bother with an appointment, just complain loudly and continually when you arrive, and you will get to go next.

Went in the store and an employee saw me coming in but went into the back room where they were cutting hair and never came out again. Waited 10-15 minutes and no one ever came out to talk to me, although I did hear several employees talking and having a good conversation. I stayed longer than I would normally have done just because I thought it was kind of funny and wanted to see how long they would hide back there before coming out. Left a Yelp review at the time and a manager called me but didnt really have much to say. I took the Yelp review down because I gave them credit for at least having someone call me about it. Havent been back since and its been at least 2-3 years. Dont know why they sent me an email for a review now, but here it is.

Always get an amazing haircut, my son included, no matter the stylist.

Best thing was the notes from other sports clips center moved in so I didnt have to explain what style I needed.

I just had haircut from sportclips. I am really disappointed by the way they did haircut for me. I keep on saying that its not looking leveled every where but the stylist didnt agree with me she did what she had to. After returning home i looked on mirror and its not at all looking good. And also i didnt got the style i requested for. As I dont want to argue more I just compromised with what I got. Now I again have to go to somewhere else to get it trimmed.

Got 3 cuts for me and 2 of my children. Terrible quality and they charged over 60 dollars. Do NOT recommend.

I came here to get a haircut and the lady that was cutting my hair poked me with the sharp scissor and messed up my hairline and haircut.

I brought my two boys that normally get their hair cut at home to this Sports Clips..... honestly pretty randomly I was just in town coming down to the Lansing area to visit family Brittney was our stylist she was so wonderful she did such a great job with both of my boys and even went above and beyond making sure that she explained to them exactly how to care for their new hairstyles...... Then my best friend came in and got his beard done and lined up he was impressed as well.....I give Brittany props though because shes very good at selling..... Sold me on beard oil and pomade to take care of my sons hair lol this will be from now on as long as she is employed here my choice of place to take my family

I am always confused about why they wash your hair AFTER YOUR HAIRCUT.

My husband was there today and received a horrible hair cut! The lady cutting his hair used the words, oops im sorry as she cut a chunk of hair out that should have not been cut. The hair cut took an hour. He goes every 2 weeks and after today I know he will never be back. All in all charged full price for a horrible and completely messed up hair cut.

This is my absolute favorite place to get my haircut. I always feel confident that I will have a good haircut and an overall great experience. All of the hairdressers are superior, but Michela definitely is the best. She demonstrates great customer service and is incredibly talented. I always feel a great sense of welcome from her, and she never makes even the slightest mistake. She actually got me hooked on my new favorite product to put in my hair (I used to never put product in my hair). Overall, great place.

My first experience was great! It was for my 7 year old son.Mikaela did an awesome job. My husband is very picky when it comes to haircuts and he really liked it! Sports Clips is a great place to get a haircut they do a good job, plus to add if your a fan of sports it will please in your point of interest because you will see lots of sports philia to be drawn in to while your hair is being cut. Highly suggest to parents that either have a kid that loves sports or even may play one if you want to take them to get their hair done because they will be entertained there better then any other old style hair cut place.

It was great place with lots of room and not just for getting your hair down but getting it washed and dried as well. Great hair conditioner products as well. It’s just that I’m more used to my place, Great Clips it just has much more options and closer to my other favorite shops around town. But I recommend this place since it gives off free coupons

I went to this place yesterday to get my haircut for the big event I want to go over the weekend. I am very disappointed with this place. It was a terrible experience. The young lady did not know how to style and cut hairs. My hairs are so bad and uneven. Left side is longer than the other side and there are divided in to two levels. Very ugly. I am ashamed of going out because of my haircut. I have to go somewhere else to have it fixed. I never go back to this place again. She did not spend more than 5 minutes on my hairs and obviously this is the result. I cant believe any other hair stlyst can do such a terrible job. If I would ask my husband to cut my hair as his first experience, he would do better than this.

The haircut my son received was an evenly faded one... Unfortunately while waiting for his turn, we saw a few bad cuts. When it was my sons turn, we had to pleasantly ask to wait for another stylist due to a VERY poorly faded cut we just watched leave her chair. This particular girl appeared to be having a rough day judging by her grimmace. I do not plan on going back based upon over all experience.

The service was wonderful. It was prompt. I like the concept and the environment was nice. I appreciated how everything was discussed with me before, during, and after the service. But the best part was having the person who took care of me was friendly, attentive, and allowed me to walk away feeling like a million bucks although I didnt have to pay a million dollars. Thanks

I went in for a Veterans Day haircut promotion. The service was good, the experience good, bout the haircut was not very good. I had to have it fixed elsewhere. It was choppy and uneven on most of my head. Not once was I given a mirror to see the back of my head, but I’m sure that the appearance would not have changed the bad haircut. Unfortunately for me, you get what you pay for, and I got the haircut free for being a veteran. With that said, I really didn’t have any expectations of a great haircut, but figured it would at least be even.

The MVP treatment is nice. My hair needs are pretty simple and always met when I go. Staff are all friendly and price is reasonable

My stylist on this first visit to this store was Sarah. I really liked the haircut I got very much. Sarah could not have been more accommodating! The store was spotless, the TVs had football on and not the usual 2003 SW Louisiana Billiard Championships on ESPN Ocho like some other locations have had in the past! I give this place One Schwarzenegger meaning Ill be back.

Ive been going here for just about 5 months. All of my past experiences were good up until today.Never in my life have i been treated as such a second class citizen. One of the hairstylists, upon learning that im sick started literally throwing a tantrum, even going as far as questioning whether i wash my hands or not.Gave me a 3 minute haircut, after i waited for 20 (didnt clean up any loose hairs at all, rough cut everything). Also disregarded my MVP haircut that i got by referring my friend to sport clips.I used to tell all of my friends how great this place was, but now ill never go back.

I have cut my own hair for over six years because nobody seems to get it right. I reluctantly went to SportClips and met Michaela. She has changed my mind on the whole thing she did an amazing job! I have found my new place.

I first found SportsClips in the south and have actively searched them out whenever i needed a haircut. Now living in here in mid Michigan this Okemos location is a great convenience. My first visit a few weeks after opening was great. I recommend this store to all my friends!

Overall, this place is quite good. Parking is never an issue. Staff are usually very friendly. No complaints about the hair cuts. Sports arent really my bag, but Okemos really lacks in good places to get a hair cut, so this place wins the day.My only complaint is that the place often appears to be rather short-staffed, at least on the weekdays. Tried to get a haircut the other day and there appeared to be only one stylist on duty. Last two times I got a haircut here, the wait times were long, cutting close to an hour. On one of these occasions, there were two stylists on duty, numerous people waiting and one of the stylists wanted to go on lunch. Not unheard of for wait times to go past the estimate. Its just frustrating because you can walk in and see one or two people sitting down waiting and you think it will be a short wait, but then those people end up getting the MVPs which take longer, and the customers that signed in and left for a while end up coming back at the last minute, and before you know it, 45 min - an hour has passed.

Overall not a bad haircut, just annoyed with the experience. Came in on the $10 first time MVP offer which was told to the girl at the counter who checked me in. Wait wasnt too long, then different girl was the one who greeted and cut my hair. She stated that they like to bump first time MVP up to double MVP which I implied was for free? Why would I pay $5 more just because you like to. Hair cut went well, descent job for someone that young of age. Then when it came to pay the bill she initial charged me like $23 before tip or something like that? Reiterated coupon to her which she stated she was unaware of. New total came out to $15, with now a $5 charge for this double MVP service they did. I like to know what I pay for typically and to have this just slid into my bill is kind of sketch. Ended up paying $18(with tip) for a haircut at a new unknown place with inexperienced staff when I was brought in on a smaller coupon. Only reason for 2 stars instead of 3 is they have a TON of FAKE reviews on here which is pathetic to see.

Great place, I dont normally get my haircut from a barber but was thoroughly satisfied with this place. The MVP package is 100% worth it.Went for a free haircut pass and still spent close to 30$ I ended up buying some hair products that the stylist recommended, the prices overall are great and it was 30$ well spent. Guys!!!Great place for hair cut. nichole cut my hair and she was a pro. She did this thing called MVP and that was super cool. shampoo my hair while me sitting on massage chair.. and then the shoulder messages.. Great place... just hair cut $18 and with MVP is $28..

Stopped in for a haircut before a wedding that I was in town for. They got me in within 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon and my beard trim and haircut were top notch!

Very unprofessional customer service. I attempted to check in my son and husband online. They were on their way but there was an error and I couldnt register them online. I called to explain that my husband and son were on their way. I tried to check them in online, but for some reason it wasnt working and asked if they could check them in for me over the phone. The person on the phone scoffed and sighed throughout the conversation. She told me in a condescending tone they would add them just that one time but from now on they would have to check in once they got there or do it online. Ok, I tried to do it online but it wasnt working properly and that wasnt my fault. I wasnt expecting them to walk in and be at the top of the list but I wanted their names added so they didnt have to walk in and check in. Just didnt need the attitude I was given. We will not be going back.
