They were able to put a patch on my tire instead of replacing it, which saved me a lot of money. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable, which I appreciate a lot. And they gave me some delicious chocolate chip cookies when I picked up my car! 10/10

This was the first time using this business and I was impressed. They gave me a detailed lay out with pictures as to what needed to be fixed, ranked from high priority to low priority. They let me decided what I wanted to be done. No pushy salesman. I would highly recommend.

I called several other places that gave me very extended lead times to fix a nail in my tire. When I called Silver Lake they got me in first thing the next morning. Their communication is excellent and the repair was done on time. Customer service was excellent and I will happily recommend them and use them again.

Ive always had a great experience taking my vehicles here. They are honest, do great work and very professional. I also enjoy that they have courtesy cars. The nearby dealerships make you rent from their car rental business.

The customer service was excellent! I greatly enjoyed working with Chris throughout the day. They were able to diagnose that my passenger front wheel bearing was bad. They replaced the wheel bearing that day. However, you pay a premium for the great customer service. It was $700 for one wheel bearing when I probably could have gotten this work done elsewhere for less than $500. Also, their service receipts are very vague. They don’t break down the service costs by parts and labor which I find odd for a service shop.Overall, a good experience and they were thorough, but they are pricey. They also will stand by their work and parts for 36k miles which is pretty much unheard of.

We are new to the area and they were very thorough with our car. They did not try to sell us on things that weren’t necessary. It’s an older vehicle and they understood that we are running it until it needs a major repair. I appreciated their honesty and that they listened to us and didn’t push repairs that aren’t necessary.

I used Silver Lake to tow my Range Rover which was locked with a dead battery that provided quite the challenge. The young man Shawn who took care of me with my needs was impressive and awesome. Use these folks for they are terrific.

I was stranded in a state park, and desperately needed a tow. This is by far the fastest, and most efficient tow company Ive had experience with. Will use again, and recommend them in the future.

I brought a classic truck that I just purchased to Silver Lake Auto back in the summer of 2020 with the hope that they would fully inspect the truck and let me know of any issues. They found a few problems and I spent about $1,500 to have them repair the problems. One of them was an oil leak that they said was a valve cover gasket. After replacing the valve cover gasket, I still had an oil leak. When i brought it back, they told me there were several other issues that totaled around $2,000. Annoyed, I asked why these issues werent found the first time. The service manager told me that in the car industry they dont like to nitpick every single problem because it can be too overwhelming. He referred to it as the shotgun approach. I believed that this was a poor excuse and brought my truck to another well known shop and they repaired the oil leak and also repaired a transmission leak for $380 with parts. They said everything else looked good and I havent had any issues since. I was really disappointed because I thought I did my homework when I first chose Silver Lake.

I got a nail in my tire and found myself a few miles away from this place. I called them, they got me in immediately, and fixed my tire on the spot. I was in and out within 45 minutes. Fantastic customer service and friendly staff. I will definitely be back in the future should I need anything else. A+

My entire experience was great as far as car repairs go. I went in for an oil change which was finished quickly. They all did a full diagnostic of my vehicle and explained the necessary repairs clearly. They left the decisions up to me and I felt no pressure to make a decision. I had gone to two different dealership service centers with the impression that the manufacturer would be able to fix the issue I was having with my cars adaptive cruise control. Each time they quoted me mid four-figure prices for what should be a somewhat straightforward fix (given knowledgable technicians/appropriate equipment). Needless to say it was a massive headache and I simply wasnt willing to spend that kind of money.After planning a 2200 mile road trip, I figured I should try one more time to get the problem fixed. A quick google search showed that Silver Lake performed ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems) calibrations, and despite living in Madison, the reviews seemed to speak for themselves. So I scheduled an appointment online, dropped my car off first thing in the morning, and was given a courtesy car for the day. Once theyd wrapped up working on my car, I received a five-page comprehensive diagnosis (with pictures) about the overall health of the car along with a phone call covering everything. The best part is that my adaptive cruise is working at less than 10% of the price the dealership wanted to charge.Overall, I am so impressed with the thoroughness, the attention to detail, and the quality of the work performed. Special thanks to Nick the service advisor, and Logan the technician for doing such great work; I cannot recommend Silver Lake Auto enough!

I drive a 1935 Chevy Cabriolet. When it needed to be trailered for repair, I was apprehensive about getting it on a 30 degree elevated flatbed trailer because of my low ground clearance and fiberglass body. The driver, Shawn, assured me it would be a slow cautious process and I wouldnt have to worry. Shawn was very smooth and careful. When he got it on the trailer, he showed me his hold down points, to put me at ease. Once he got my car to the shop, he sent me a picture of the car safely on the ground. When you take your car in for any purpose (mine was only an oil change), they do a courtesy review of the entire car and print a detailed report for the customer showing additional items that are RED (need work right away), Yellow (need work soon), and Green (OK for now). When I started asking further questions about some of the work they marked as Red & Yellow, I did not get clear answers. After the second time I called and received vague answers, I took my car elsewhere to get a second opinion, which resulted in the most expensive suggested repairs not being necessary, (i.e., I found the ~$1300 strut replacements they suggested were not necessary). They appear to do good work, but I feel they try to capitalize on suggesting urgency to repairs that should be listed as future preventive maintenance items. Be prepared to ask good questions.

Service manager Mike was very professional and courteous on the phone during my initial call to schedule, and very welcoming when I dropped off my truck. Nick shuttled me home and was also very professional and courteous. I just went in for tires but they did an inspection of the entire truck. Ill definitely be using Silver Lake for future service on my truck.

At first glance and meeting the employees it seemed like the right place. We asked for a phone call after they figured out the problem, no call. They are a high turn around facility with no time to call. The transmission dipstick had a leak in a very accessible place, they were going to drop the pan replace fluid etc. Driving out I rethought the price at $1000 the bill they tried to give me was $985!! I had it done for 1/5 the cost, $200 total. Do not go hear! Look for a small honest garage.

Emergency repair on a Saturday! I was stuck at the gas station with my horse trailer and horse inside. They towed my truck and my trailer to the services center. They took my truck to their place to fix it, as the service center was closed on Saturday. They got a new starter put in and I was back on the road in no time. They were attentive, thorough and timely. Went in with a flat at 9am, fixed, tires rotated and overall evaluation by 2pm. Pretty good for a Monday morning. $65 for everything is very reasonable. Chris was very good and explained the overall evaluation very well without any upselling pressure!

BEST AUTO CENTER IN WISCONSIN!Firstly, as a young woman with no knowledge of cars, I’ve been trying to find a place for years that does not take advantage. I’ve gone here a few times for free oil changes that they offer to women on Mother’s Day. They are EXTREMELY respectful, fair, and helpful. I can’t say this for a single other auto center I’ve been to.I worked with the advisor Chris Johnson today for a comprehensive checkup of a new-to-me-but-used car, and I give him (and Jayce the technician) 10/10 stars. I drove all the way from Milwaukee to Oconomowoc for them and they were able to do a full comprehensive check within a couple of hours. Then, they emailed me an extensive sheet of the quality of every single piece of the car, what needs work, what looks good, what might need work soon, what you need to watch out for, and tips on how to take care of my car. I have literally never felt taken care of before like this and on top of that, they charged me ZERO DOLLARS for the checkup. Well we knew we had to come back for the repairs I needed. We will always be giving them our money from now on, they deserve it.Thank you so much Chris for staying on the phone with me for 30 minutes, making sure I knew exactly what was going on with my car and how to take care of it. I walked out of the shop later with the biggest smile on my face. 10/10 I DO RECOMMEND!

Silver Lake took great care of me. I was forced off the road by another vehicle during one of our icy days this past winter. I fully expected to have to wait, as Im sure all towing companies were busy that day. My truck was drive-able, so I tried to use my AAA membership to get winched out of the ditch, but the AAA driver cancelled after having been assigned and reportedly on the way for an hour. After being assigned another driver for 45 minutes, AAA then called back twice, extending me more than two additional hours. Long story short, I started calling around to local tow companies, because I was afraid that AAA was just going to keep kicking the can down the road and didnt actually have me assigned to any tow. Most of the local companies just said either were booked up or we cant get there for 6 hours. Silver Lake said were very busy, but since you only need to be winched out, let me see if we have anyone in the area that can help quick. They actually had a driver a mile or two away, who had just completed a job. They sent him over, and after less than 10 minutes of his time and talent, I was out and on my way. The driver was polite and did his job quickly. The fact that the dispatcher was willing to take a look and see if anyone was in my area, and recognized that they could add a paying customer with only a few minutes of impact on the schedule, significantly helped me. I appreciate that sort of critical thinking and wish that more people approached business and customer service that way. I highly recommend Silver Lake Towing to anyone who is interested.

Very professional staff who answered all my questions related to my vehicle. They had a very friendly service desk. A very nice lounge area with coffee, snacks and a tv. I was very impressed that they had a concierge service which drove me home while my car was being repaired and they were very flexible with when I could pick my car up later that same day :)

Only reason I didnt end up getting my car serviced there and only diagnosed there is because the original mechanic who did the brake job gave free labor to fix his mistake that Silver Lakes Auto found when I brought it in for diagnostics.

Excellent place! Honest and trustworthy.Jeep broke down. While they looked at it, they gave a free loner car. They could of just told me it will cost 2,500-3,000 to get it fixed. Told me I wanted fixed they will do it. But said it had other structure problems and wouldnt be worth it. I took the advice and sending the Jeep to its grave.
