Takes a week to get an appointment. They came and didn’t fix the problem. Rescheduled for a week later and appointment cancelled without notice. Rescheduled again and have to wait another week for the soonest appointment. I want to be here for it the appointment since I wasn’t the 1st time they came and didn’t fix it, but they have no appointments on days I don’t work except for the appointment they cancelled. Frustrating!!! Meanwhile directv has a service that includes tv repairs and they show up the next day, wish I purchased that plan instead.
This service is very helpful, you will have to make an appointment but the associates are very knowledgeable, the prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend this service!
Had a delivery and install set up for a new TV. Tropical storm elsa came in and and our install was canceled for Wednesday, so it was changed to Thursday between 1 and 3.at 330pm no delivery no nothing, we even received an email confirming our new install time.Everything was paid for in cash ahead of time, then on the phone with a very non professional type for over an hour until we escalated to a man named brian,no last name, and was told I can come pick up the TV or wait til the 14th for my new delivery
Got an email from them which was a fraud. Tried to report it but not able to. I sent an email they provided but did not work...
Can only provide input for TV installation and Magnolia Home Theater installation. Specifically, Ocala has two of the Geek Squads greatest employees. Aaron and Jay. Both have career experience and must for proper installation and usage of your home stereo system. Magnolia Home Theater is the way to go when wanting top of the line performance. Harmony remote programming must be done by a professional. Jay installed in 2013 and Aaron this week with a LG Nanos 4K big screen. Geek Squads protection is a must and pays for itself if used just once. Best buy customer since the 90s and rate Aaron and Jay as the absolute A team in the Country 💪.
Robert was absolutely wonderful. Very knowledge when it comes to Apple products. Nowadays, its hard to find someone who offers such superior customer service. He is definitely an asset to Geek Squad. Keep up the good work.
I just had a great experience with Ronnie B, from the Appliance Repair part of the Geek Squad. He quickly located my problem and was quick and efficient. I love buying my products from best buy simply because of their excellent customer service.
I wish I was a Geek! But I was born before computers were a household necessity. I am convinced that brains raised before computers were never intended to understand how to fix them when they dont do what you want them to. Luckily I can rent a Geek from the Squad and they can deal with it. That way I get to keep my sanity and even enjoy my computer again
Standing in the store, with no one next, and because my sons phone is an apple device, we cant be seen until tomorrow... Ive been paying for Protection on at least 2 device a year for the past 8 years and this is the service Im recieving at Best Buy... strike 3 baseball rules, Im officially done with Geek Squad Protection and over all Best Buy in general.
So excited with the service I have received from the Geek Squad. Had Chad Mobley, Geek Squad member of Ocala, come out and hook up my new HP Scanner. He helped me with a ton of other questions. That was over a month ago. Of course I had a problem the other day. Called to make an appoint to have a Geek Squad member come out again. To my surprise, they could remotely fix my problem. YAHOO!! Because I have the Tech Support, this was done for free over the phone. Will definitely renew my yearly Tech Support again. Cant say how happy I am with the service.
Very nice service quick to service appointmentAlways have knowledgeable employees
I always find someone who knows what theyre doing
Great service. Excellent agents
Visited this store to replace aged, power supply wrecked Samsung flat panel TV originally bought at Walmart.Prices are average. A staff member(s) will load your vehicle for you. Be vigilant and make sure your receipt reflects what you bought, at first I received wrong make/model.However they beat the pants off Walmart for same make/model devices with a better manufacture/level of quality; in store warranty simply because they are the real deal.Same make, model @ Walmart has a different part number and is manufactured to a lesser, inferior level of quality though every exterior and device detail is almost indistinguishable.Walmart had better, inexpensive pricing for same device but, I think/ feel Bestbuy had the same and better quality original television for a tiny bit more for the genuine quality device.
Very disappointed in best buy/geek squad. They want to charge $100 just to DIAGNOSE the issue...That doesnt include any repairs or anything! Oh well...although I was not a frequent user of your services...I have been taking my stuff there for years when necessary...well, you just lost my business to price gouging practices...
Was cheaper than I expected, service was fast and excellent and the staff was great. Don’t usually give reviews like this but they bent over backwards to help me.
Great people. Know what they are doing
Hit or miss with the Geek Squad. If you get someone knowledgeable you can get the information you need. Keep in mind, they need upsales, to keep it reasonable only get what you really need.
Do not bring your computer or any device here. They will make you wait weeks to get your device and then will make you schedule an appointment to pick it up when they told me to come in and get it on the phone moments earlier. The geek squad Manager Jose was rude and said he was doing us a favor by letting us pick up our laptop that we had already paid for the work to be done. I know there isnt many other options around but if you value your time and money steer clear of this place!!!
I have had the Geek Squad service at home, in the store, and over the phone. They have always been knowledgeable and courteous. So glad I subscribed to them in 2014.
Each time I needed the Geek Squad help they resolved the problem efficiently, patiently and respectfully.
The worst service I have every received. I will never every take my computer to the again. They told me that I had an appointment time I was early and I filled out the paper work and they told me how long it would be. I went ahead a ran other errands. When I come back they said we had some questions and I was upset because my computer just sat there for 2 hours and they had my phone number. I ended up having to take it to another store.
If you are going to use Geek Squad (GS) make an appointment before going to the store or you may find yourself waiting a long time. The people I dealt with were courteous and tried but were only partially successful. The admin side could be considered a rip off.It appears individual tech experience level varies and therefore their ability to solve a problem varies. For simple things like a hard drive installation, no problem. I recommend thinking about your problem and considering alternatives. There are many businesses and individuals that sell computer services but there is no guarantee they will be better than GS and may be costly. Buying individual services from GS can be expensive too so the Total Tech Support (TTS) offering might be the best option despite some drawbacks. Read the fine print. Even if you use it just one time you’ll likely save.My problem started out simple. The hard drive in my laptop appeared to be going bad. I could have installed a new one but I needed to save my data so I went to Best Buy and bought the Geek Squad Total Tech Support. Total cost for the support package, hard drive, virus program and other items was $223.28. They installed the hard drive and preserved my data. I was very happy. For that they get a 2 star instead of 1 star. But then things went wrong. My operating system had been Windows 7 Pro which Microsoft was no longer supporting so GS had to install Windows 10, an upgrade I would not have chosen if there was a choice. I also found out at that time (didn’t read the small print I guess) that they require you to buy a virus program. I recall they asked me what I use but I didn’t realize why. So they installed a new version of my virus program. I had just done my annual renewal a month earlier. Now the new serial number did not match what was on file with the provider and was part of a package that covered my other machines and 24 hour support. Eventually I would have to uninstall what they put on and reinstall my original version with the original serial number.I get home and try to connect to my home network and I can’t make it happen. My network uses DSL and consists of two work stations (WS), the laptop, an internet provider modem/router and all in one printer. The work stations are not wireless capable so are connected to the network via a switch. The laptop and all in one printer operate wireless. I don’t claim to be a tech but have worked for a company that does software for over 20 years so I have some experience. If I were to call tech support somewhere I would likely have already done what levels one, two and maybe three are going to run me through. So, I do everything that should connect the network. I then have my son, who is tech smart, try and he can’t make it happen. The two work stations can see each other and the laptop can see WS1 but not WS2. So I take WS2 to GS and they return it saying everything now works fine. Well maybe at their shop but not on my network. I call and arrange to have a GS tech come to my house. That is not covered under the TTS agreement. I’m told it will be $50. Later I would find out it is $50 per machine. Even though the issue was a network one the computers are counted separately. The tech spends three hours and is unable to fix the network. He didn’t appear to do anything I or my son had not already tried. So over $150 for nothing. The fine print says you pay regardless of outcome.Next step was to get GS on line help which is covered by the TTS. After I establish a connection with the tech she works on the problem for 2-3 hours with no success and then gives up. But now none of the computers can see each other. I ask her to put it back the way it was and she can’t. So out of desperation I upgrade the two WS to Windows 10. After running through the normal network set up procedures I was able to get back to where I was before the on line support. Whether GS can solve your problem is a big maybe.
I used geek squad at the Ocala Best Buy, I had excellent service and the staff was kind and efficient,
Very friendly and very fast
Zero stars... Ok, so I bought an ASUS 2 in 1 laptop in June. Last month, Windows 10 went through an update and wouldnt log in to my profile. I took it to Geek Squad after I couldnt resolve the problem. I had a ton of photos saved on it that I hadnt had a chance to upload to cloud yet. They had my problem fixed in minutes however they advised me my mouse pad crashed with the update and asked if I wanted to send out the laptop for repair, since it was under warranty, it would be free. So I told them to go ahead. No one said anything to me about the laptop being restored to factory settings when it is sent for repair. Obviously why would I agree to this, considering the whole reason I brought my laptop to them was to get my photos back. So when it finally made it back to bestbuy. I went to pick it up, they turned it on and thats when I realized it was going thru set up and it was reset. I told them the whole reason I brought it in was to fix windows 10 so I could have my photos and now they reset it and theyre gone. The guy pretty much told me they couldnt do anything about it. I now have to take my laptop to a local computer place that recovers data and pay them, if they can even recover anything. I wouldnt recommend using geek squad. If they had told me they were gonna do that I wouldnt have had them send it out til I backed up my photos.
Very nice store
