I got my first cut/fade here today, and I am normally very anxious about going to a new place, but decided if he has 100+ reviews, all 5’, and no complaints on Google, he has to be good. Turns out he is amazing. Seriously... the best fade I’ve ever had, and I got them weekly in the military by people that do them all day long back to back. This guy is an artist. Honestly the whole experience was great. He was super nice, great conversation, place was clean, had good attention to detail, and went above and beyond what I would have expected at that price point. It’s def a hidden jewel in Ocala. So happy I found this place

Ive been going to V.I.P. every 2 weeks since they opened. I have never experienced a bad hair cut. Not only that... Its appointment based so I can get in and out.The biggest plus! Its so professional, when I walk out I can go right back to work ! There is no hair all over me, I smell better than when I arrived, every part of my head is back to perfection! Called ahead. Barber was rude. Arrived on site and was told I was next and asked to wait outside until the client in the chair finished. Waited 20 minutes. Two more people arrived and waited inside. When the client in the chair finished I went inside and was told I was not next anymore. Left disappointed.

Moved recently from another state and finally found my new Barber, at last. Definitely a VIP service and atmosphere. Josh goes above and beyond every time!

The first time i stepped into the barber shop Josh was professional, He introduced himself & asked me to have a seat. He then asked me how I like my hair. I started to explain & then said, Josh youre the professional I trust your judgement. Now Ive never been to a spa before but Josh made my feel like I got the royal treatment, the cool air on my neck, the warm towel wrapped around my head, the razor used to clean me up nice & clean. If you want a great hair cut & everything else trimmed up nice & clean like youre ready for a night out, then you need to go see Josh at the VIP Barber Shop on Maricamp. I went to Ocala’s VIP yesterday for the first time and the fade is extra clean, he took his time, he cared about making sure the cut was good. Glad I checked them out, I’ll be back.

I’m a pretty simple customer, I wear my hair high and tight, have for years. My buddy recommended I give Josh a try a few months back as I was needing a cut. Besides a relaxing atmosphere and good conversation you are also truly getting VIP service from head to beard. After my first time letting Josh take care of me I received several compliments on my “new look” which was the same as my old one with a VIP touch by Josh! I have been going ever since and so have my 4 year old son! Highly recommend for all dudes young and old!

Update 10/03/2020So, i am a Paramedic who works in a ER during this pandemic. Meaning.....you get called at anytime all hours of the night if needed. I set an appt with this shop back on 09/12/2020. I was called to work immediately and did not show for my appt nor call. I was wrong. I know weekends is where barbers make lots or most of there money and I’m sure i set him back a bit. I set another appt which I apologize and he could have easily turned me away but he is an absolute PRO!! Gave me another slot hooked me up, no attitude no bad vibes just cutting away like a pro and i thank you and will never break another appt again

So coming from NYC where barbershops are dime a dozen, i’ve noticed there are only a handful of shops around the area so off to the barber hunt i went. I have went to a few OK places but still didn’t find a right fit until today. Last week my wife noticed this barber shop as we were driving by and brought it to my attention so i decided to try it out. Josh was cool, professional and does good work. Cut my hair exactly how i wanted it (low skin fade, 3 on top). Clean shop, only has 2 chairs but he didn’t waste time and started working knowing another customer was waiting so it seems like he can keep the flow going. I will be returning as i think i found my permanent shop.

He will take all of your inputs into consideration to try and give you the best cut youve ever had every time you come by; even if youre trying something new.
