I had the pleasure and good fortune of working with Dessiree Acosta to evaluate and assess my insurance needs after not paying much attention to them for three years. Dessiree is a consummate professional who exhibits high levels of product knowledge as well as acumen and expertise in the labyrinth of insurance. Obviously an active listener, she presented several options in the context of expert recommendations rather than aggressive sales tactics. Moreover, her responses were unfailingly pleasant and insightful. I highly recommend Dessiree and the Scott Cameron Insurance Agency. I left with a sense of accomplishment and feeling secure about the insurance products I selected based on Dessirees recommendations.

Weve been State Farm members for over a decade with no issues. In fact, if you had asked me to write a review 6 months ago, it would have been 5 stars.In the last few months, that changed. Weve experienced unexplainable price increases. Weve experienced jaw-dropping mistakes. Weve experienced over-promising and under-delivering.Here are a few of the situations weve gone through (JUST IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS):1. We opted to do their flood insurance and roll it into a bundle deal with everything else. It was a bit more expensive than what we were paying elsewhere, but covered more and were in a flood plane. They told us they would take care of everything -- from cancelling the other service and getting the new one started. Well, the older one was cancelled, but the new policy was never started. We didnt find out until the bank contacted us with a threatening letter about requirement flood insurance. Only when we called Scott Camerons office to see what happened did we find out they dropped the ball. We promptly cancelled that policy with State Farm and returned to the older carrier.2. Weve made a couple of vehicle changes as of late (new motorcycle, sold two cars, bought a truck). How is it that the car insurance for the truck and the remaining car go up almost EXACTLY the same as the car insurance for the car that was sold? We understand that prices go up, but how suspicious they only went up when the other car was sold and taken off our policy. Scott Camerons team needs to make their dollar one way or another.3. No one at State Farm seems to know how Scott Camerons office is charging their customers. This most recent bill we received was over $100 more expensive than the last one. Keep in mind, this was AFTER we dropped one of the vehicles. When we found this taken out of our bank account, it was already 10pm at night. We get it, Scott Camerons office is closed. We called the Customer Service line for State Farm and were connected with a general service rep. He looked at the bill AND HE ALSO COULDNT EXPLAIN WHY OUR BILL WAS INCREASED. No itemized list, no figures that can give rates. Is billing a secret?4. Speaking of flood insurance, we were told they mailed us a check (totaling over $1000) months ago. Where is it? No updates, no tracking, no request to stop by the office to pick it up? Scott, you can check your account to verify it wasnt cashed.At this stage, there are only a few possibilities for whats been going on. How can we have a great experience for over a decade and then suddenly things go so far south so quickly?I believe our long-existing account was either passed to an inexperienced/unqualified/shiesty representative who is trying to take advantage of our bank account, or Scott Camerons office has always done this to customers and were only now seeing it with the changes to the account. Both are equally terrifying and infuriating.But heres why Im leaving this review in the first place. With all of this, we could have resolved issues with an itemized list, or a call notifiying us of changes. You dont increase a bill by THAT MUCH and not leave a paper trail explaining why. We called the corporate office and they had no clue to the reason why our bill went up.Thats bad business. Thats shady and disgusting.Well be calling later today to have them resolve these outstanding issues. But at this stage, were done. I honestly dont know what could be done to save our account and stop us from leaving, but well be shopping elsewhere and telling the tale of Scott Camerons fall from grace for years to come to everyone we know. Its thin ice at this point.Scott, youll be hearing from us.

I started my teenage years as a State Farm policy holder. I never had a problem with them. My husband convinced me to change ins agencies a few times and we wound up back with State Farm. We have been with this State Farm branch for 7 months and every time I call or go in the office the agents and receptionists are beyond exceptional. I have been with State Farm since I was a teenager, was totally happy with my Virginia agent then I moved to Florida my Va agent located this Florida agent, over the past 22 months I was not not “ feeling it”, repeated calls to up sell, so annoying, calls to “remind” me my payment will be due in March or Sept,I already know this, it’s been this way for 10+ yrs.1 month ago 07/2019 I requested a transfer to another agent, which I had already spoken too, nothing was done to transfer my account, I called the new agent to make sure they got my file... I was told nothing received, 2 weeks ago I called this agents office told them I requested this transfer, I was told she had to send an email to Agent himself so he choose to allow me to leave, ALLOW ME TO LEAVE? I said.well to cut a very long story short, I was advised to reach out to State Farm “after hours” to file a formal transfer, I am not OWNED by any insurance agent, but if you choose to be, it’s on you, I have been with State Farm for 35+ years, hope to be for another 35+ yrs, with my new agent. No business owns you or I.

Our personal experience was with Representative Donna Gonzalez. She was not only professional but also compassionate. She directed us in the right direction with her knowledge to help us with our questions. She is an asset to State Farm Insurance and I would recommend her highly.

I have had State Farm Insurance for over 50 years and this is the best agency I have ever dealt with. The honestly care that you are being taken care of and receiving the best service for your money. I first met with Michael Fernland who reviewed my policies to see if I had any gaps and if I had any coverages that I really didnt need. He found both. He then had me set with Leslie Ravenscroft who took me on a deep dive on my policies to clean up and ensure that I was getting the most coverage for the least cost. During this review both Michael and Leslie question the interest rate on the loan that I had gotten from the dealership when I purchased the car. The dealership had made a production that they were working with multiple lenders to get me the lowest interest rate. That is when I discovered I was missing the loan papers from the dealership. I called them and told them they were missing from my packet and I was coming by to get them. The rate the dealership had gotten me was 7.47% Leslie got on line with State Farm Bank and got me a rate of 3.59% me just short of $2000.00 over the life of the loan. I could go on and on but if this doesn’t give you a flavor for the integrity of this dealership I don’t believe you’ve been reading what I have been writing. “The Best I have ever dealt with!”

This office is the most professional and helpful that we have dealt with in the last five years in Florida. They answer all my questions and have returned my phone calls in a reasonable amount of time. We moved to Ocala in March 2019 and purchased homeowner insurance from Scott Cameron - State Farm. He was very nice in explaining things and gave his recommendation on what coverage he thought would be appropriate, which with this being my first home purchase, it can be overwhelming. It was a very good experience,A few days ago, my auto insurance policy was coming due with another major company. I decided to try State Farm again for this and keep my insurances together if possible. This was even a better experience than the first dealing with this agency.First, I would not go with a no name company as I wanted to make sure it was a stable company. I made sure that the coverage was the same with both, which it was. The policy quoted was about 35% less than the company I was with previously for 8 years with no tickets or accidents.Second, the agent that helped me, Dessiree, could not have been any nicer and knowledgeable, She explained everything in detail, answered any question that I had and spent all the time I needed. She was not like a salesperson, it was like talking to a friend. I cannot say how pleasant she was to talk to and made this whole experience a pleasure. Very disappointed with the call I made to State Farm today. I understand confusion within a phone call when a situation may be stated unclearly, but laughing at a request? Really? Thats about the most unprofessional thing that Ive ever had happen to me. Diane was the first agent to pick up the phone, but she was unable to understand what I was asking for; so, she transferred the phone call to an agent named Michelle who also was confused and had a slight attitude with me before ultimately laughing at my request. I appreciate the agent named Will who takes care of me and my wife when I have questions. Very frustrated today.

Did not inform me of lower rates, for which I qualified it would have given me a $450. Discount.

Like being with family. Took the time to not only clearly and fully explain things but also took the time to relate and relay unrelated non insurance life experiences to comfort in a difficult time. Very genuine.

They have given me the worst customer experience of any company I have ever dealt with. I filed a claim two months ago and at this time they have not even started the repair. The reason for the delay is I am still waiting for State Farm to finalize the paperwork for the repair, two months later. I have reached out to State Farm no less than sixty times and spent no less than five hours on hold in the two months since I filed the claim. The content of every call is them denying any responsibility for the delay, but promising it will be settled shortly. It is two months later and no such progress has been made. I have been a customer of State Farm for over fourteen years, and I havent had a major claim in ten years. I am out of pocket over $2,000 in rental car charges because I made the mistake of dealing with State Farm. I am considering going to their office and ripping my arm off to guarantee I have something to throw at them. This is my opinion of State Farm.

HAD Statefarm for years until just recently when my daughter was rear ended (she wasnt at fault and it was a very minor fendor bender) and then suddenly they raised our premiums right at 200%! We didnt even file a claim because there was literally just a few scuffs on my wifes SUV but I guess the other person did... whats worse is you lost a loyal customer who have always had multiple lines through you guys-not just cars, but home owners, boats, ect...*update* just called your office to discuss this but I was told you are out. I did in fact have a policy through your office so please dont insult my intelligence. We transferred a policy to you from another state a few months ago. Also, the name you see here is my internet name, not my real name. All the information I presented in the review are very fair and accurate. Now that you have felt it was a wise idea to try to call me out and make it sound like I am a liar, I now feel it a wise idea for me to share this review on other sites. Your staff has my number. Feel free to call anytime.

Since Ive moved to Ocala have gone to this State Farm office and Scott has always been a very good person to help me with things I needed especially when I was trying to get insurance with that Obamacare and the people and ObamaCare was telling me that I had to pay $550 a month to get insurance when Scott did it he said no thats what the insurance is going to pay you to have the insurance so he helped me get insurance for health insurance theyre wonderful people
