First things first this place is by appointment only, which for me is amazing. You don’t need to worry about waiting around for a long time. Secondly… Damien is amazing. Probably the best barber in the East Bay, his cuts are top of the line, very detailed, and done in am impressive amount of time. The conversation is great, I feel welcomed every time I’m there, and you can’t beat the price. Definitely a must if you’re looking for a shop.

The chicken tendies were okay but the best part was the chicken tendies. Good place to get hair. I like hair?

Great haircut, great conversation and got me in within a few minutes of my 5pm appointment! Super impressive since the place opens at 7am. The shop has a relaxed atmosphere, cushioned furniture, magazines and kids books about getting haircuts 😊. Damian offers a great service at a fair price. He lined my beard up too. I think I found my new barbershop!

I have to say Damien is the best barber here in the East Bay you have a very professional and clean environment when it comes to the barber salon its appointments only very professional I would have to say if you have not been cut by Damien at Megah Browns its time to go get the best cut you have in your life.

Tired of over-priced, snooty hair salons? Then, go to Megah Browns! Youll get a great cut from owner, Damion. And, unlike other barbershops, he doesnt discriminate against women. He cuts our hair too.

My fiancé had about 3 in long hair and told him to only cut off about half an inch. Guess what now he is left with only half an inch! He also told him to keep his hairline natural, but he decided to draw to 2 squares near his forehead. He also messed up his natural part. Easily the worst haircut he has ever received.

Owned and run by an educated self starter. Definitely call for an appointment, even on a slow Wednesday morning. Took good care of this weary traveler.

Ive been coming here for about a year now. Located right down the street from my job, I walk here on my lunch breaks. Damion is appointment only, and extremely timely. I only have 30min for lunch, and he always has me out on time without rushing or loosing any quality of the cut. Would recommend to any and everyone.

One of the worst barbers I ever experienced. I told this guy not to touch my goatee and he proceeded to cut it all off. When I asked why he said it was to help me keep my job. I was an intern; they wouldnt have hired me if they didnt think it was professional. Im paying you to cut hair and follow instructions. On top of that he pushed my hairline back some. If I ever come back to Oakland, I wont be getting my hair cut here.

I was really nervous about visiting a barber shop for the first time -- a couple places I called ahead of time actually told me they dont take women as clients -- but Damion radiates such ease and confidence that I was immediately disarmed when I walked into Megah Browns.Hes a real pro who spent time getting to know me and my sense of style. I walked out feeling better about my hair than I have since I went for the big chop 18 months ago.Believe me, Ill be a regular fixture at Megah Browns in the future.

Being from the East Coast I am very particular with who cuts my hair. After my first cut with Damien I knew I found my go to local barber. Extremely talented, he can handel any type of hair and any style. He is also very social and a pleasure to talk to.

Anyone that dislikes this spot has never been to a real barbershop. Its the best cut in the Bay area Ive had/seen. He can cut any hair type and do any style. How do you know hes quality? Because he doesnt take walk-ins, much like any other respected barber. His chair has about a 2 day wait so make an appointment and be on time! If youre not from the Bay....go here. If youre from the Bay, I have no idea why youd go anywhere else. The dude has jokes for days too!

EVERY time I go in he is courteous and friendly. Doesnt really take walk-ins so you have to plan ahead with him. Ive been going back every time after my first cut. Even when I want to switch it up, he just knows what to do. I have curly hair and Ive never really been happy with a haircut until I came here.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This guy is appointment only..... First time we schedule an appointment, hes 20 minutes late cutting my hair and makes me late for work.2nd time he cuts my hair he screws up my lining, after specific instructions on how to cut my hair. But he fades well, so I gave him another shot.3rd time, I schedule my appointment. While in route, I text him saying I may be 5 minutes late due to traffic. He texts me back That wont work and cancels my appointment lol. After being 20 minutes late for my original appointment.Go to Cedrics or Als in Oakland. Too many barbers in the Bay to deal with unprofessional barbers like this. The barber shop is a place to chill & chop it up w good people. This dude will make you feel unwelcomed lol.
