My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience touring and leasing a unit on the 5th floor from the Hanover Broadway’s excellent staff. Dominique (spelling) was very helpful and courteous to us both as we we’re figuring our way out around the building and learning about all the amenities. I couldn’t review him or any other of the staff better and we’re very happy to be living here. Don’t miss an opportunity to lease a unit at the Hanover before they’re all taken!

The location of the property is ideal in the heart of Downtown Oakland and the apartment units are modern. The units themselves are located on top of Target, which is extremely convenient for daily errands or last minute needs. Additionally, the amenities included at the Hanover Broadway are top-notch. The rooftop seating, views and grills are one of the highlights of the property and great for social gatherings, while the gym and e-lounge are amenities I use weekly that let me get out of my apartment unit without having to travel far.The move-in process was extremely easy, as the management team was able to work quickly in order to customize a lease that accommodated my move-in needs. I worked primarily with Jamie in order to schedule and have a tour of the property as well as work on the lease details, and she was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and considerate throughout the entire process. Additionally even after my move-in, the management team continues to be extremely professional and helpful any time I have a question or issue.Overall, I am very happy with the apartment unit, property and management team in general as they were able to help make moving, which is a large and stressful process in and of itself, seamless and trouble-free.

I recently toured with Dominick and had such a wonderful experience I decided to sign a lease! This is my first apartment and Dominick has been so accommodating throughout the entire application/move in process. Highly recommend!

Pros: convenient, target downstairs, staff is nice, apartment is kept in good conditionCons: if you’re a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, be aware of these facts and you should be golden.1. the entire apartment is hardwood and my upstairs neighbors have elephant feet so I hear every single footstep they take and it wakes it up in the middle of the night.2. target unloading/loading dock is on my side of the street so there’s constant beeping from trucks starting at 6am

Great building with friendly staff. Unfortunately the area is completely garbage. I was promised the area was safe to park cars on the streets aslong as no valuable are displayed.Unfortunately I have been broken in twice this week when nothing was out in the open. Security is nonexistant and all cameras are fake. Looking at crime maps online I can see that its a common occurrence around the building. Whats even more depressing is I parked for less than 2 hours on both occurrences.Would defenitly reccomend this building aslong as you never have to park a car on the streets or walk around the streets.

Walked in for a tour because a good friend said the place was beautiful! Well! he did not lie. a young lady by the name of Jamie gave me a tour and the place is to die for. I am quickly anticipating the end of my lease so that I can move here. Jamie was sweet and professional and answered all of my questions! this community is absolutely beautiful!

Love this place! Our leasing agent was Dominick, and he was amazing in helping with our move and made everything seamless. I can’t say enough about how smooth he made this for us, and it makes us feel so much better to have him as the manager. The building has all the amenities you could want. Super nice gym and rooftop that I use almost daily now that everything is back open . Thanks to the whole leasing team—Dominick, Jordan, and Jamie—for all their help throughout our leasing process!

One of the biggest indicators of a great apartment community is the management. The team at Hanover Broadway has been so responsive and friendly throughout the leasing and moving process. Shoutout to Jordan for her friendliness and willingness to answer any questions about the property, as well as the flexibility with scheduling and the overall moving experience. The homes, amenities, and common areas are very well kept, the maintenance team is super responsive, and the amenities (although closed) are beautifully maintained (not to mention, TARGET is downstairs!).Im enjoying living here and the community/neighbors also seem really great!

I toured about 5-6 luxury apartments in the area before deciding on Hanover Broadway. When it came down to the overall value and location, its hands down the best. Dominick, Jordan, and the whole team at Hanover Broadway have been great during the whole moving process. They go the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable and feel at home. The property is in a great location and also very well maintained with lots of amenities. Large fitness center, clubhouse, business center, dog wash area, and even a rooftop deck. I look forward to being a resident during my time in Oakland.

Had the pleasure of meeting with Amy this past Monday and she showed me the Fitness center, they have a private screening room and the walk in closets in the 1 bedrooms are AMAZING !

As a new resident I am super excited to be living here! Dominick has been so helpful making sure my move in process went well. My first week I had a maintenance issue and Ricco handled it so quickly and made sure everything was perfect before leaving. I really appreciate them going the extra mile. Very happy to call this place home!

Update: Overall, staff is great. I wouldn’t recommend people move here unless you know that:- your master bedroom won’t get access to heating and ac since the system comes from the other side of the house. We even had people try to fix it with no success.- we also had issues with our electrical box initially, but once we got a new fuse installed, we didnt have issues.Nora is a fantastic maintenance worker. She is always bright and joy to be around. She goes above and beyond when she comes to fix an issue, usually noticing and fixing other issues to make our life better!

I recently moved up to Oakland to attend SMU and after comparing several apartments nearby the school, I found that Hanover Broadway is the best fit price and location. My boyfriend and I decided on a studio layout and it is very roomy with a lot of cabinet space and a washer/dryer. he area seems to be nice and living right above Target is hugely convenient. The leasing office has always been helpful, they are amazing at making sure you get situated and comfortable. Thanks Dominick, Jordan, Trista and the rest of the staff!

The community is beautiful, and Dominick was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the building and my specific apartment. While there may be comparable properties throughout Oakland, the incredible staff sets this community apart from any competition. Loving living here!

Jordan is AMAZING!! I am moving from NC to CA and had to do all of my tours virtually. She did a wonderful job answering all of my questions and showing me all of the common spaces/amenities as well as all the units I was interested in. With most of the other virtual tours I got from other properties, they were lazy and only wanted to show my the one apartment that interested me, nothing else, which is sad when you are trying to convince someone to move into your property. She also tried very hard to work with me to get me into the property.I didnt end up moving to Hanover Broadway even though I LOVE the property and I LOVE Jordan. I was soooo close. Maybe I will revisit them next year....Thank you Jordan!!

No complaints from us. There was a bit of a hiccup on things being connected in our apartment but that was quickly addressed. Looking forward to our stay.

While viewing many properties in both Oakland and San Francisco I can certainly say that Hanover Broadway hits every piece of what I am Looking for. The building is new and styled so well, the team at the front desk greeted me right away and Amy showed my so many floor plan options. The amenities and space at a great cost compared to the city !

My partner and I came in on a busy Saturday afternoon. We did not expect to be granted a tour as we did not have an appointment. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and was able to tour us. Our of the 4 properties we visited, this one was the only one that allowed us to tour. The property was beautiful and had many floor plans to choose from. If we decide to sell our condo, this is definitely our top choice.

We love living here! The maintenance staff are all wonderful - Nora and Rico always fix any problems - large or small!!!

I booked a tour with Hanover feeling unsure a large building was for me, but decided to go through with the tour anyway. Jordan, who is the star of the Hanover Christmas tree, was my guide, and led me through all the lovely spaces Hanover has to offer. It was within 20 minutes of that first tour that I knew I was going to live here. I was unsure about the size of the apartment that was needed and Jordan showed me every size that I was interested in. It’s been a pleasure living here and I’m glad I decided to book a tour with this place. The only advice I can give is just take a look, you won’t be disappointed in the comfort and small city luxuries Hanover has to offer.

I just moved in here and LOVE it! Location Location Location. Since the start the staff has been very helpful answering all my questions and making the lease process easy. The building is brand new and their rooftop is amazing. Best part is they have a dog wash downstairs!

The leasing officer - Amy is informative and friendly. This new building provides rare high ceiling apartments (9.5 - 10 feet), modern gadgets used throughout the apartments from nest, fancy faucet to slide-in drawers, and many closets. which stands it out of the surrounding luxury apartment complexes.

I love this building and the lovely staff. I had booked my day with a few appointments to find an apartment for myself. When I got there, Amy showed me around. She was amazingggg and was super patient with me and showed me as many apartments as I wanted to see. After I left, I knew I did not need to go see any other place. Her attitude was so friendly and great. She really spent time and I did not feel rushed at all. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars to the building and the staff!

I have 2 dogs and that can be hard to find proper housing. This location is great, close to Lake Merritt, has a dog wash and there a small little park across from target for the pups to visit ! Amy was the one to assist me in my tour.

I looked at 16 different properties in SF and Oakland and I always came back to Hanover due to the location, property, and unit amenities. Jordan was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process! My move-in day was especially stressful and chaotic as our movers were running hours behind. Jordan stayed well past closing hours to finalize my paperwork and give me the key. I cant say enough nice things about Jordan. My move-in day could have easily become a massive nightmare if it wasnt for Jordan. Hanover really cares about its residents - Ive never lived anywhere that I could confidently say that until now.

I currently live in a one bedroom apartment, moved here just recently actually. Great atmosphere, cool neighbors, and a fantastic place to live.

Been a resident for over 4 months. Its a wonderful location, great building, quiet and peaceful, and having the target / cvs downstairs literally makes life worth living. You have your choice of grocery stores (whole foods, sprout, KP, grocery outlet) within blocks of you, great food (korean tofu and bbq super close), and easy access to the 19th st Bart. But dont come because I dont want any more neighbors as I am a curmudgeon.

I was at the new Target in Oakland and saw Hanover Broadway and decided to stop in for more information. I not only got the information but Amy also gave me a full tour of the building and WOW! Stop by and take a look for yourself.

We just signed a lease here, moving from Chicago, and toured about 12 properties in both SF and Oakland. Theres something to be said for a brand new apartment (price is same as others in the area but the 4 weeks free concession was awesome), and the closets and bathroom sizes are RIDIC. I could see some floor plans being so-so, but our 2/2+den is exactly what we needed, for $1300 less than the places we were considering in SF with very small bedrooms and small closets. Youre 2 blocks from all the broadway bars and restaurants, and by the end of the year all the bars, restaurants and shops at the bottom of these 4 buildings on the block will make it even better! Brewery going in, pizza, etc. 10 min / 5-6 block walk to 19th st BART too. I cant say much to actually living at the property yet (other than Amy in the leasing office is wonderful!) since we move in 2 weeks, but excited for our new Oakland living!

It doesn’t matter where you work, what’s in your wallet or how you are dressed, it’s sad that some folks will still treat you as a second class citizen and this unacceptable treatment is what I received today from the leasing agent. It’s really sad.I knew I was being treated like a second class citizen so, I just left and would never return which I’m sure the leasing agent and Hanover may be perfectly good with.Summary of what occurred:I was the only black woman in the lobby and I’m sure I’m one of few coming to seek out leasing info. The agent didn’t even say hey welcome in let me handle the tenants and I will get to you to address all of your questions. A kind resident that saw the shenanigans actually was like “she can go I have the time.” This resident said this because she saw I arrived well before her and another resident and I’m sure she was just purely uncomfortable with what she saw.Solution:Hanover it’s important to train your leasing agent on the following:-Every person that walks into your offices with interest in housing information should receive exceptional treatment similar to a tenant.-A simple welcome, thrilled you are interested and this is how and when I could help you is more acceptable than let me engage everyone else who is a “paying” customer before I get to you.-inclusive behavior and unconscious bias training is needed for all staff especially those who will work in urban areasThank you.

I have lived at Hanover Broadway for the past year and it has been a fantastic experience especially during this crazy year. The complex is very quiet, the staff on-site are fantastic people and always helpful, and the location is perfect. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Genuinely floored by the leasing experience from beginning to end at Hanover Broadway. I worked closely with Brandon to discuss the possible options and schedule a tour of the facility. Once I got to Hanover, Brandon greeted me, introduced me to exactly the apartment I needed, and allowed me to apply same day. Ive leased at a few places in The Bay and Hanover has just been a breeze!
