I have known the owner of this place for over 20 years and he has always been a stand up guy, if you have a vehicle that needs work please bring it to him and let him work his magic! My truck is sitting in his shop right now, I am planning on picking it up tomorrow, hooking up to my boat and getting out of town with no doubt that there is going to be a problem! Keep up the good work Dale and his crew!!!!
Had my transmission rebuilt in my 2006 Mercury Mountaineer. Work was top notch, service was awesome and finished in less than a week. Would definitely recommend
Update:Came back 9 months later, Transmission has been running perfectly, had a minor fix, received valued excellent service again from Hank and Dale! Thank you guys!Received excellent service from Dale at Pauls Transmission! Gave me all my options which was important for my budget, did a timely, solid job on my car. Already drove 600 miles with no issues. Great service is hard to find, I recommend these guys!
All I can say is WOW!!!!!! I thought I needed a new clutch and I was getting estimates from 800 to 1800 dollars. Turns out it was a slave cylinder and the cost was under 500 dollars. Talk about honest. Extremely professional and I am truly grateful for them
Great work, fast, and transmission run awesome. Thank you to all the workers in there!! I would definitely recommend!!!!
The owner Dale koodie is a lair and over charge for work he didnt complete and he was very disrespectful about the job i will never use Pauls Transmission again please if u guys can help it do not use this transmission shop for nothing
This is a great place. People are courteous and did good job for me and right on time.
Dale & his staff did an amazing job fixing my transmission. They also give you a warranty & back up there work. I was treated like a VIP when my van was towed there, with transmission problems. So far so good. Ive had my van for a week & it is working better than it has in years.
Great, honest service!
Pause transmission is like having a good insurance policy, You don’t always need them but you know they’re there. Paul’s repaired my transmission eight years ago, I haven’t had any issues with my current vehicle until a week ago, I thought my transmission was slipping. So I went in to have it evaluated, they evaluated the vehicle and told me it wasn’t my transmission, it was my motor mounts, he gave me to an appointment and 6 hours later I had my truck back in working order, this is a mechanic and a transmission shop I can trust.
Summary: Thorough, honest work when they could have easily taken advantage of a desperate person on vacation. Highly recommended! We drove down to Pompano Beach from Tennessee for a family vacation this summer. It became clear pretty quickly on the drive down that something was going wrong with our Toyota Sequoia. Lurching, vibrations, pulsing at idle - they were all bad signs. Based on the symptoms I was quite convinced that the transmission was going out. The vehicle has over 200k miles on it, so it wouldnt exactly have been a big surprise. I was really dreading the repair bill though, especially on vacation and having no idea how to go about picking a transmission shop that would do good work. I chose Pauls based on reviews I found online just like this one Im writing right now.As soon as I described the symptoms to Dale he asked me if I had had the car worked on recently. Indeed I had - timing belt replacement, water pump replacement, radiator replacement - all done just prior to setting off on this trip. I told him I didnt see how that could be related to the transmission problem, however. Dale proceeded to patiently and clearly explain how the radiator replacement could be causing the exact problems I was experiencing. I left the vehicle with him, rented a car for our family to use during our vacation time in Pompano, and hoped for the best.As it turns out, the transmission was just low on fluid! Its a sealed system (no dipstick) and the shop that had done the radiator replacement hadnt been careful about making sure the transmission fluid was topped back off after the radiator replacement. In addition to that they managed to find a very intermittent problem with the coil pack on the #4 cylinder that was causing the bumping sensation. If Dale had told me that the transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt ($$$$) I would have believed him and written the check, partly because I was already convinced that was the problem and partly because I was kind of stuck. I knew the Sequoia wasnt going to make it all the way back home to TN in that condition. Instead, he thoroughly diagnosed the problem, carefully and clearly explained to me what I needed to know in order the understand the issue, and then performed the necessary repairs quickly and for minimal cost. What could have been an incredibly expensive repair turned out to be a problem that was only a small fraction of that cost to fix. Thats the kind of service and integrity you always hope for, but unfortunately dont always get, from a mechanic shop. I recommend Dale at Pauls Transmission without hesitation.Oh, by the way, we didnt have any issues at all with the Sequoia all the way home. It performed beautifully. Thanks, Dale! - The Williams Family
Took my RV two other places and they could not make repairs. The owner waited on me and made the necessary repair at a very reasonable price. My RV now drive like a New RV. I highly recommend this business. Great doing business with them!!!
Dale is great!! Courteous and knowledgeable staff, everyone is super great!! They really care about your car, not just another customer. The best car repair experience I’ve ever had!! Great price, great work, great staff, just a great overall experience.
I brought my car to Pauls Transmission after my transmission went on my car for the second year in a row. I read a few of there Reviews and have to say that i had made the right choice to get my SUV Fixed here. dale and his crew are really good at what they do, he took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable. Dale did a great job and i would recommend him to all my family and friends.
Dale and his team are top notch. Good honest people. Will definitely be recommending them to whoevers having car problems. Had my transmission rebuilt and DAMN!! Shes riding nice. Thanks to everyone at Pauls transmission!!!!
Get an estimate from Pauls transmission before you get your repair. You will not be disappointed. I took in my Excursion with 135000 miles. Could barley make it there. My transmission was shot. Dale worked me in the same day I called. I needed a full rebuild. He showed me the broken parts and made it better than new by installing upgraded parts. The truck drives better than it ever has. Dale the owner was fair, honest, and they do exceptional work. I will be going back for all my repair needs. Thanks!!
Honest, hardworking, and fast people. Dale, the owner of the place is wonderful. Hes very willing to work with you and your situation to help out the most he can. His men are quick and efficient, they get the job done right the first time. The prices are very honest and fair in my opinion. I had an issue with my coolant leaking on top of a transmission issue and Dale had no problem fixing it! I HIGHLY recommend Pauls transmissions!! Five stars all around!
Highly recommended, for all of your transmission needs, as well as general mechanical work. These guys are the best in the business.
These guys are awesome! I was stuck down the road with a dead battery after roadside assistance couldnt help, I walked over and told him my situation. The gentleman walked over with a batter jump and helped me get the car to his shop. Got a battery for a great price and great service!
Pauls Transmission is an excellent transmission shop with great people like Dale, and high quality work. Have had 3 trucks so far with transmission problems and they have all been fixed right away and taken care of as if it was their own. Great shop. Highly recommend to everyone!
I had a 1930 Ford Roadster which Dale ended up rebuilding the transmission for me due to shoddy work by a previous transmission shop. Dale explained the issues, showed the parts that were worn, provided a fair quote with different options depending on my budget.I decided to go with a complete rebuild. Upon picking the car up and transporting to the Gulf Coast the car developed a leak - Dale had me go to a shop of my choice and provide an invoice for the work to remedy the leak and promptly reimbursed me for the work. He stood by his work and made things right. Needless to say hes an honest businessman and I would recommend his shop to anyone without hesitation.
I brought my vehicle in for an oil leak (rear main seal) and transmission service. Hank was very knowledgeable about the problem, and gave me a good price. The work was completed perfectly, and sooner than I expected. I did not get the typical Thank God you brought it in now, because you would have never made it home sales pitch I got from other transmission places before.I very highly recommend them.
This is by far the best place to get your transmission rebuilt
Great work and fair prices. The owner is very friendly and doesnt make you feel rushed no matter how busy they are.
I have had my vehicle in this shop on three different occasions. Dale, Enrique and the gang all take very great care of us. Great communication, great service, clean shop. Over all cant say enough amazing things about this shop! Thanks for all you do!
Has been building transmissions for my shop for years now. Never have a problem!! They also did 2 of my ford pick up trucks. No problems!!Highly recommended.
I dont normally do reviews, but i think that Dale and his guys deserve that more people know how good they are.I have been to the shop a few times over the last couple of years.,and now, I dont let anybody else touch my two cars,an Audi and a VW.The first thing i have to say about them, is their honesty and positive attitude, always willing to go the extra mile to get your car running good. They are obviously great at transmission work, but they also do all other mechanical work. They got the knowledge, tools and skills, and trust me you will be satisfied with their work.Go there with confidence,Dale is a great guy and his guys are very good at what they do,but again its one of the few shops that will do business honestly and will work with you to get your car running good.
I own a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel. The truck is great on power but weak on transmissions. I recently had a failure of the transmission and had to find a local but more importantly reputable shop. If you spend just a couple minutes on YouTube its easy to scare yourself when trying to decide where to bring your vehicle. Upon my research I found Pauls Transmission. They are highly rated on multiple sites such as Yelp, Angies List etc. I can see why. Their staff was attentive and most importantly communicative. They took the time to show me what failed, why and gave options on the best course of action to repair my transmission. Its been 400 miles since they worked on my transmission and it has been performing exactly as expected. I would highly recommend their services to my friends and family.
Good friendly service they are looking after my 66 thunderbird. Straight forward people.
Great!!!! I brought in my 1962 Caddy for a transmission repair.. I had the original transmission and Dale convinced me to upgrade it to a 700r4. WOW!!! What a difference!! I can cruise on the highway at a low RPM!! My car is so much better to drive!! I really love it!! Dale really steered me in the right direction. Thanks again Dale I really appreciate it!!
Excellent customer service. They make me feel like a priority. I have received assistance from the mechanics and even the owner. I feel comfortable entrusting them with both my car as my money. I would highly recommend them.
This shop provided excellent service to our non-profit organization. They were extremely helpful and kind, and their work was superb!!!! Thank you Dale and Pauls Transmissions for all you did for Bags of Hope! We appreciate all you did in volunteering your time and energy to fix our bus!!
I stopped in for some help with a part from my car which I was working on at home. The guys at Pauls were kind, helpful and personable. I found the technicians at Pauls to be knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely bring my business to Pauls in the future because they are trustworthy, helpful, kind, knowledgable and humble....
I received excellent service form Paul’s. They repaired my 2004 Ford explorer transmission and got me back on the road to Canada in 3 days. Dale even repaired a wire break in my power windows and replaced a leaking brake line. Thanks very much
Excellent!! Fair prices, knowledgeable. Will not rip you off! They actually know what they are doing!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
After searching for a reliable transmission mechanic I found Pauls Transmission. I spoke to Hank who was friendly and knowledgeable and after reading their reviews I was hooked. If your looking for an honest and reliable transmission mechanic give Hank a call at Pauls Transmissions, you will be glad you did.
Found through Angies list; John;buddy, dale,Hank all solid guys.. Did good work; through and efficient!! Take real pride in their workmanship
I had to take my 4runner to Pauls transmission in Ft Lauderdale as I had the well known drive train vibrations that had been well covered on yota tech. Some have had luck changing the complete rear drive shaft, but in my case it was simply the rear u-joint.Dale who is the owner personally replaced this joint for me and I must say my 4runner runs like new again, no more vibrations........ thank you DALE !!I would highly recommend Pauls transmission as there are competitively priced, have excellent diagnostic skills and complete the job in a timely manner !!!! AAA+++++
Dale, the owner resolved my problem. He corrected the error and gave methe correct diagnosis on my carsA/C.
I have a 1950 Mercury with a 502 ramjet and Tremec TKO 600 5 speed, that wouldnt go into gear for anything! I brought it to a couple of places and the other shops had no clue what was wrong. The transmission is brand new!! Dale and his guys actually took the time out and found the problem! It had the wrong pressure plate and it needed a choker plate on the bell housing! WOW!!! This car is a beast and goes into every gear with ease!! Finally I can enjoy my ride! Thanks Dale I really appreciate it!
After several estimates from different shops, I was referred to Pauls Transmission by a good friend. My transmission broke down one day leaving me with no Drive and no Reverse (mustang GT 2008). I spoke directly with Dale who was very attentive and patient while I explained to him that I attempted to fix the transmission myself with a friend with partial success. Dave s estimate to fix the transmission properly was right on the ball and most importantly it was below everybody elses estimate. Dale even took the time to show me which parts got replaced and what went wrong in the transmission. I recommend this shop any day hands down! Thank you Dale for giving me my baby back!
Guys, thank you very much for your skilled work. Dale and Glen professional present his case. Thanks for the great work again !!!
VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!! I had an absolutely wonderful experience dealing with Pauls Transmission. I have never written a review but felt compelled to after the level of service I recieved. Dan was the mechanic who worked on my car he was polite, friendly and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He had my car up and running in a matter of minutes for a VERY reasonable price. Needless to say I will never use anyone else for my transmission repair and recommend that you dont either. Thanks Pauls Transmission!!!
These guys are great. I would recommend them to anyone. They spotted a defective product from a previous repair and stood behind me in stating it. If you have any engine trouble these are your guys.
Honest and professional. Finally a mechanic that gives it to you straight. Helped me with my blown up bulletproof transmission.
What a service!! Dale the owner is great. Thank you for the quality service and your kind help with transmission.
When I bought my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport used, I had only driven it about 100 miles before my O/D light started blinking signaling a transmission problem. I first went to Aamco as they supposedly specialize in transmissions. I was given an open ended estimate of at least $2.000 to rebuild the transmission. At least?!? No max range, just at least. When I told the guy I didnt want to do the work, I then found out my transmission wasnt even there. He had sent it out to some other shop for diagnosis. Took a few days to get it back and reinstalled in my truck with a $600 bill for labor. So I decided to search around and check reviews and came across Pauls Transmission. They had great reviews so called and made an appointment. I took it in on a Monday morning and met with the owner Dale. He really took his time and gave me more of a consultation and I really got a good vibe from him. Left the vehicle with him and got a phone call later that same day. After checking to see if any minor repairs could be made, the only real fix was going to be a rebuild. This time however I was given a min-max $range before the tranny was even dropped. I authorized dropping the tranny for a complete diagnosis. The estimate for the rebuild came in at the lower end of the range which was less than $2,000. Went ahead with the work and asked Dale to check on a couple other minor repairs at the same time. One being my overhead compass was not working. He hadnt done this repair before but took the time to look at a couple videos online while he was on the phone with me to see what he could do.Got the call on Thursday (just 4 days later) that my truck was ready. When I picked it up Dale explained all that was done on the transmission and the cost came out to exactly what he told me itd be. He was also able to get my overhead compass working again which was really the icing on the cake. Its been a few months now and Ive waited to write this review. Ive since been back to Pauls transmission for brakes, shocks, etc.. and still continue to get great service each time at a fair price. If youre looking for an honest shop that really takes pride in their work and customer service, look no further. So far Ive dealt with Dale, Hank, Edwin and Buddy and theyve all been great. Thanks guys for being the professionals you are!
Dale over at pauls did my transmission in my F250 over 2 years ago and its still running like a bull. great service go check them out!
Knowledable and friendly staff. Prices are spot on and work is excellent
I will not come back. If I would be you, I wouldnt go to start with
If your car has tranny problems look no farther, pauls is the shop u want to go to. Very fair prices, very honest service. No pressure and no scare tactics. Dale runs the shop and he is a very nice person to deal with. They fixed a problem another shop (sams auto) had charged me 1000 dollars to fix unsuccessfully, simply by resetting the vsa. No charge. I had my tranny rebuilt and 2 months later no problems. Im happy that i have finally found a good mechanic that wont fleece me.
Great customer service. I suggest making an appointment or calling before going.
Excellent service. Thank you 😊
Cant say enough great things
Honest guys, quality work.
Great customer service!
Best in town.
Dale is not a man of his word
Very helpful
