I’m not usually one to write reviews but I have to say how impressed I was by the day spa and my stylist Lindsey. I was greeted with a smile and taken care of right away. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly people. To top it my experience with Lindsey was phenomenal. I came in with orange hair and came out a beautiful blonde. I was so impressed that I brought my daughter who had colored her hair with box color and she was about 5 different colors. Lindsey spent the time to correct her color and it came out beautiful. It wasn’t an easy project but she put all her time and excellent knowledge into it. I would highly recommended her and the spa!

WOW! Sarah Tyree is incredible! She just got done with beauty school and she is one of a kind. I have seen her three times now and I keep going back even after I moved an hour and a half away. They all take pride in their work and love the place they work. The owners are always looking out for their employees and supporting the community around them by donating to benefits, schools and other organizations. Such an amazing experience at New Day Salon! I booked hair and makeup appointments for my bridal party, myself, and my mother in law for my wedding this October. The staff was so warm and friendly, even came in early to ensure everyone got their hair and makeup done before we needed to get back and take pictures. And wow! Everyone looked incredible and I loved my hair and makeup that Ashley did for me. The owners also let us bring drinks and snacks to kickoff the day!!! It was such a perfect start to the best day of my life. It was affordable too! Most of the time for weddings, especially if youre standing up, you get charged up to $90 for hair and $75+ for makeup. New Day makes the whole experience actually affordable with their prices and the result is drop dead gorgous--for everyone. They even put in little flowers in all my bridesmaids hair that I got my from florist! My sister also used New Day Spa for her wedding. Highly, highly recommend. Such wonderful stylists and staff members, the customers there too--its like theCheers of salons! Thanks so much!!!

Remarkable staff and service

I have been coming to New Day Spa for several years now. I’ve also had friends who come here once in a while for services. Back in January I had a little manicure birthday party for my daughter’s 8th birthday. The entire staff was so kind and sweet! Even on the phone when I booked the room the receptionist was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.Thanks New Day!

Paid $60 plus a $20 tip to get a massage. That is what I wanted. Instead a got a 45 minute stretch out with a mediocre 15 minute massage. Please dont advertise it as a massage if there is barely any massaging being done. Wont recommend to get a massage there. I could of paid my nephew $80 and got a better one.

Sarah is my hair girl!!! She is amazing with color, she can always color my hair perfectly reguarding the odd color choices I choose. I feel comfortable with her I trust her and know it will be awesome and perfect. Also I can get the same cut twice I dont have to worry when it comes to layers. TOTALLY unprofessional management! Right after my son and I had our haircuts, the owner fired and publicly humiliated her employee. Her employee has been cutting my hair for over 30 years and NO COMPLAINTS, not to mention a wonderful woman and mother. This, after the salon raised their prices and simultaneously cut employee salaries. They lost LONG TIME customers and they will lose more.. dont give these horrible people any more money

Dont waste your time explaining what you want done to your hair because the result you will get is same outdated highlights. I even brought a picture to make sure that I get what I want: subtle highlights and layers. Got terribly visible highlights and a cut that looked more like a mere trim.Seems to me the hairdressers at this place think everybody wants their hair to look just as bad, over colored and undernourished as theirs.

It was 1month before my birthday & I was so excited to find a spa that was three mins from my house. Walked in, the spa was somewhat clean but all eyes were on me, the young lady booked my spa day and said I need to put a down payment of $50.00 .ok. 2wks before my appointment I called to change it . the lady on the phone said, Im sorry there isnt any appointment here for you. I got quit. Then she said, Oh you missed your appointment. I explained to her there is a mistake. My appointment is in two wks & I am changing it for the following wk. She got loud & roughed with me. I said that Im coming to pick up the $50.00 down payment . she said NO we keep that. You have a good day then she hunged the phone up. Long story short. I got my $50.00 back through a Legal team. This spa place is shady & shisty. Looks good on the outside but shady inside. The owner is working hard to keep this place polarized.

Only go here if you want to be yelled at, made fun of, chased out of the door while being told they would call the cops all because I didnt like how my hair came out. The stylist said she could highlight my hair, but when she was done you couldnt see any highlights. When I expressed that it wasnt what I wanted (and I was clear), my stylist threw her stuff down and stomped away pouting. Another stylist then got in my face yelling that my hair looks fine though she went into a rant about how bad ny hair is (not how it looked). When I tried to tell the woman at the desk that I was really unhappy, especially after being yelled at. The other styist then got in my face, told me to just leave and not pay, to get the hell out and never come back, and if I didnt leave shed call the cops. When I tried to offer to pay for my hair cut since I liked that part, the stylist chased me out of the building to my car, threatening me more. No one should ever cone here, unless you want to be threatened and yelled at if you are unhappy with the outcome.

Its really difficult to give the overall rating a Good when I had Poor-Fair experiences AND Excellent experiences.I will start with the Excellent. The services I received were a facial, a body wrap and a massage. When you have these types of services, the rooms are warm and welcoming. Kashki was the person who did my facial and body wrap. She was absolutely wonderful!! Very soft spoken, very knowledgeable and pleasant to be around. She took her time with both the facial and wrap and it was so relaxing.Kim was my masseuse and she was really terrific, focusing on knots that, unbeknownst to me until she started the massage, were really bothering me. She has nice strong hands and again, I was so relaxed. I cant say enough good things about Kashki and Kim!!Now, the Poor-Fair. As mentioned above, when you receive these types of services, the rooms should be warm and welcoming. What I failed to mention above, is that the rooms should be QUIET as well. Unfortunately, the walls only go 3/4 of the way up to the ceiling and I was in the middle of 3 rooms. The person in the room towards my head was this chatty fellow who has this (what felt like FOREVER) conversation with his masseuse and SHE was just as LOUD. I heard all about his wife being a surgical nurse at Christ Hospital, I heard all about the Ford she wanted and how the combination to the door didnt work and Ford wanted to charge them $65 to reset it and he wouldnt pay, I heard all about how he started his retirement fund when he was 18 yrs old. Need I say more (and believe me, I CAN because I remember every little bit of this conversation). The entire HOUR he was there it was talk, talk, talk, talk and I was getting so stressed out!! His masseuse should have shown some professionalism by politely quieting him down (as well as hushing HERSELF up). Not only did I hear all this, but there were toilets flushing and showers running. For the HUNDREDS of dollars I paid, this was TOTALLY unbelievable and unacceptable!Okay, above I mention hundreds of dollars because YES, I paid hundreds of dollars. When I scheduled my appointment, the owner Laurie, told me the she was going to give me a package rate and it would cost me a lot less than it did when it came time to pay. Unfortunately, I didnt confirm the price BEFORE I went in. I was going by the honor system and really trusted her. Unfortunately, it was her day off, too. And the girl behind the desk who charged me said, oh, youre getting a lot of money off like I was an idiot who couldnt add. I had their menu of prices in my hand, too. I mean really...how stupid did she think I was? I didnt get ANYTHING money off and not only did I give them MY business, but I gave them my FRIENDS business too because she and I had a spa day together. Maybe the girl who I finished giving payment to didnt know I had to give a down payment of FIFTY PERCENT of the total when I made the appointment 6 or so weeks ago. So hundreds of dollars for a facial, body wrap and massage? Well...I felt like throwing up when I left.I do not work for nor am I related to anyone who works at Mario Tricoci so this, by no means, is an advertisement for them, but Mario wasnt even that expensive and it was so much more quiet and relaxing and there are pitchers of lemon water with REAL glasses in the spa waiting rooms. There are lockers and big plush, fluffy robes. Sorry...I was off in dreamland for a minute. Okay, back to reality.Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hated leaving this type of review because mom always said, if you cant say something nice, dont say anything at all but Im hoping some good comes out of this and I stop someone else from spending their hard earned money, too. In other words, karma working for me...not against me.
