Another run of the mill, mediocre so-called luxury apartment complex. Once youve seen one, youve seen them all, this one included.Pros:-Everything is new or relatively new-Hotel like aesthetic if youre into the clean modern look-Dog friendly and most of the community is respectful about this-Garage and parking spaces are more than accommodating for your vehicle and storage space-Oak Creek Trail right behind the complex-Maintenance very quick to respond to requestsCons:-No speed bumps, or speed limit sign. Everyone blows through the stop sign and drives crazy fast despite many families and pets living here-Airplanes overhead and train nearby are really loud-Cheap cabinetry that has chipped heavily, door hinges breaking, drawers not aligned properly and fall out or back into the space.-Cheap carpet that snags so easily, my not-so-great vacuum gets threads tangled in it and pulls a whole line out of the weave. I expect theyll charge damages for this when we move out too, even though it happened just from simply vacuuming.-Either poor AC/Heat or poor insulation but we have had maintenance out twice to fix and no matter what, absolutely no air flow comes out of the vents in main bedroom (so, cold in the winter and hot in the summer)*I would also like to add that when my husband called to suggest a speed limit sign for the complex, a leasing manager stated that studies show it encourages people to speed more as their reason for not having anything at all. What? This doesnt even make sense.
Drexel Ridge is a beautiful property with fantastic units. For a large residential living property, people are respectful of others and the grounds we live on. The staff are supportive, helpful and really accommodating. Maintenance is very responsive and proactive. Every unit has private entry. The Oak Leaf Trail is directly behind the property and theyve build a convenient path to it -- one of my favorite features. The gym, pool and club house are clean and high quality. I thought I would never do apartment living again, but Drexel Ridge has definitely changed my perspective on apartment living.
Great community with awesome amenities.
We have enjoyed living here. The unit is spacious and homey. Appliances, flooring, etc. is modern and of quality. Flooring has done a nice job, especially with our dog! Good sized closet space in both bedrooms and hallway. Washer/dryer in unit are efficient and quiet when closet is shut. The amenities are great. Coffee in the Club House as well as workout facility. The pool in the summer is an added bonus. Location is perfect. To the west, it connects to the Oakleaf Trail which is perfect for our dog (also several dog parks in the area). Speaking of dog, many dogs in the apartment community. Owners and dogs all very friendly and we never hear other dogs barking in our apartment.Highly recommend Drexel Ridge Apartments.
My family and I really like the apartments. We currently have a three bedroom which is more than enough space for all of us. You definitely get what you pay for. I highly recommend viewing these apartments!
Terrible customer service. Malpractice and discrimination present. I would not recommend wasting my time applying here.
Love living here. It’s beautiful and quiet. Easy to call it home. Great amenities. Wonderful staff. Coffee bar is fantastic. Don’t ever want to move.
We moved in at the end of last year. Living here is so nice. I really enjoy the location. I have an upstairs unit with a garage below. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and everyone in the leasing office is lovely!
Moving in was made easy and any complications were quickly and professionally dealt with by the front office team. I like living near the trail and large park, and the scenery around the complex is very nice.I feel the 2bd 2ba apartment we have is fairly priced and it was very clean upon move-in.One change that I would like to see is a speed limit posted throughout. I think 10mph is a reasonable limit, and not much of an inconvenience even for someone late for their destination. If followed, I think it would make everyone feel safer; I know I would.
Just renewed my lease for a second year. I am very happy with this location. I have an upstairs unit with a garage below. Apartments are quiet, comfortable, and efficient. It’s dog friendly - even neighbors who don’t have dogs like dogs. The staff is always in a good mood and extremely friendly. The gym is available 24/7 and is organized and clean. And don’t forget to grab a free breakfast from the clubhouse every Friday morning!
Moved in March 1st. I Have a one-bedroom upper no garage. I love the apartment and the layout. Because it is an upper and small, I rarely must run the Furnace even at night. It stays the temp I like between 68 and 73 degrees. I don’t hear my neighbors through the walls, and it is very quiet outside as well. Whenever there were maintenance required issues, I used the Resident portal App. and any issue was resolved very quickly. In the clubhouse, we have Bi-monthly events where food and refreshments are served as well as entertainment provided. This way you can meet the other residences of Drexel Ridge Apartments. Has a great gym and pool. I recommend Drexel Ridge Apartments to anyone.
UPDATE!Wrote the review below a while ago, right after the management company changed, Fiduciary took over and everything changed. They switched to a buggy system that don’t respect auto pay setup. Got charged $75 late fee and notices to my door. Notified management about the issue and they blame me for not knowing how to set up Auto pay. Instead of waiving the fees.Moving out of these apartments is complete nonsense, moved out on time, all rooms cleaned and every corner wiped (this effort took 2 days). They marked everything as dirty and awful just to find a way to charge us 700 over our deposit they were suppose to refund. This is a honest review to safe others from getting into this mess.——————————————Highly Recommended!Weve lived here for about 7 months now and this is by far our best experience living in any apartment community. Luxury blended with nature, the units are very homey and appliances are high quality, community is well maintained.Very friendly neighbors and management staff are always helpful and will go out of their way to make sure tenants have a great experience. Club house is top notch and the gym on site is nothing short of high quality.
I just signed my 2nd year lease, you can see how much I like this apartment I live.I have handicap accessible unit. That is very thoughtful for this complex to have unit for people like me.Management team is very friendly and response my question very quick. Residents are very friendly. Whole complex is very peaceful quiet too.
Awesome apartment-brand new and very quiet. Staff is awesome to work with and the residents are friendly as well. Any noise related to trains and the airport is minimal. Access via a private path to the Oak Leaf Trail is awesome-especially anyone with kids-no busy roads to cross to gain access. Higher rent=Higher Quality. You get what you pay for.
I am half way in my second year and its been a great experience. Its a really quite area which is great and the staff is very responsive. The fitness center and pool are a nice added bonus.
I just moved into the apartment recently. So far I love it! Very quiet neighborhood. This is a Dog friendly community. Great amenities.
I have called drexel ridge home for about a year now and I really have no complaints except for that rent is pricey - but you do get what you pay for. Maintenance helps resolve any issues very quickly. Otherwise the apartment units are super nice and modern, the community is quiet and the grounds are very well kept. Staff who currently work here are also great. Clubhouse has an awesome fitness room and pool area. Highly recommend!
As this is a new rental community the construction has been extremely disruptive. It is a very diverse group of tenants as it is new so there is no sense of community. Very culturally diverse. People not always friendly. The grounds were initially well landscaped about 1/2 way but not maintained during the hot summer so everything looked pretty dry and half dead all season and the rest of it so far has never been completed. Oak creek in general is not my cup of tea because it doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be and this complex dumped in as a part of it simply alone is not cutting it for me. I prefer an established town with some roots and a real feel for its culture. The rents are in my opinion are much higher than they should be considering the location. Planes flying overhead are very loud. Many tenants drive too quickly though the complex which is dangerous. The grounds were heavily salted in winter which killed the grass and made for a nasty mess of unhealthy dried salts blowing in your garage. I found management to be a bit condescending as if they were doing you a favor as on site staff is very young and inexperienced. Really did not try to develop a relationship with you. I’ve been to properties where the staff treats you like you are important and services you well. Here it is very corporate and fake. Maintenance is very good And responded quickly to issues. Construction quality very marginal. Interior finishes very nice but leaky windows and drafts etc took away from that. Overall thumbs down.
Highly Recommend this place! Very clean and everything is new! Allison who is part of the apartment managing team is awesome to work with as is everyone else. check it out if you are in the market for an apartment!
Moved in 9/1. Good overall. Nice place. The apartment wasnt quite ready. Oven power was off. Dishwasher water wasnt turned on. Garage door opener wasnt plugged in. Otherwise good.
I am a current resident here and let me start with, this one of the best appartment communities that my wife and I lived in. With that said I wanted to speak to other reviewers post I read. I dont have to, but I feel the not so good reviews are misleading and come from in my opinion people who are probably never happy. First let me say we have a dog and this place is very friendly to dogs. I see people out all the time walking their dogs around the neighborhood and walking track by the playground. Second I have lived here for over a year and I never heard my neighbors in their homes and I also havent ever been complained about. As for the airplanes I personally have never been bothered by them or trains, but it does stand to reason if you want to live close to an airport you might see and or even here them. I really didnt mean to go in this direction, but I felt that if your looking this is a great place to live with what seems to be great people living here. So dont mind the nonsense of those you cant always please and check it for yourself. Im sure you will be more then happy here. Welcome to the neighborhood in advance!
Ive lived here 3 months and its been a great experience thus far. Beautiful condo-style apartments with nice grounds and very friendly staff. Maintenance is quick and very helpful. My only complaint is related to parking. Every apartment comes with at least 1 assigned spot, but I feel the location of them could have been more convenient. A unit with an attached garage would be ideal but they are expensive (but they do provide a lot of storage space). Overall, Im very happy with my decision to live here compared to other options nearby.
Drexel Ridge has been my home for 8 months now (I was the first tenant in my apt.), and the area and the apartments are beautiful! I have a 1 bedroom with a den, and I have a huge patio that I love. Others have mentioned the plane noise from the airport, and yes, planes fly over quite often, but I dont mind. The convenience of being 10 minutes from the airport outweighs any noise for me. I can take an $8 Uber ride to the airport and avoid all of those obnoxious parking garage fees (think $8/day x 7---that adds up quick if you travel a lot). That alone has saved me $200+ this year. Rent is a little pricier, but the apartments are brand new and include just about everything you could want (pool, attached garages, clubhouse with Starbucks coffee maker, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fitness center, close to lots of great walking/biking/running trails, etc.), and even 10 minutes North in Bay View the same apartment would be a few hundred dollars more a month (for less square footage and certainly no attached garage, probably no garage at all). Also, the rental staff is wonderful. Even if you have issues or tough questions, I feel that they really want to help. For this area, I dont think you can beat Drexel Ridge! Glad to call it home.
Great and clean environment to live in. Everyone is so nice and welcoming here.
I’ve been a resident for 3 months, and I absolutely love Drexel Ridge!! Being a home owner twice, I was unsure about renting again, but no regrets thus far. Beautiful units, well kept grounds, and awesome staff. Can’t wait for Summer to experience the pool! Highly reccommend.
Can only speak on the aesthetic, as I was visiting a current resident but I dont live there. The complex is GORGEOUS and the bathroom in the 1BR is STUNNING! Pictures dont do justice, if this is in your price range make sure you take a tour. Must see!
Love living at the Drexel Ridge Apartments! The management team is excellent and super friendly -- not one bad thing to say about living here!
One of my favorite things about this community is the coffee machine! You can get a Hot Chocolate, Chai Latte, Coffee, Or Tea! It grinds the beans right there on the spot and makes the perfect cup of joe on the go! They also have creamer and sugar stocked near by so you don’t have to worry about a thing! Thanks for having such an amazing machine in the clubhouse to make a bit of our busy days easier!
We lived at Drexel Ridge for nearly 10 months. We knew with in 2 months that we made a mistake. The management staff is young and inexperienced. They have an excuse for everything. (This is evident in their response to poor reviews). Close proximity to the airport is great, but flight paths are directly above the complex. The units are poorly constructed, drafty and had low quality windows installed. Construction was extremely disruptive. Starting outside of permit hours at 5am, including weekends. Our energy bills were 5 times higher then our previous single family home. It is not really dog friendly, dogs are allowed, but there is no true dog park area. Amenities, such as the coffee machine in the clubhouse was always broken.Do yourself and your pocket book a favor and sign a lease some where else!
These are the best apartments in Oak Creek and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The community is very warming and the monthly clubhouse events are a great way to connect and meet with neighbors.
Thought I had left a review when I first moved in but I must have forgotten to.Review now that Ive moved out:New management company is a joke, really killed the appeal of the apartments. RENTERS beware, whenever you decide to move out they will find anything they can to charge you for. Theres another review stating the same thing, theyre trying to charge me over my security deposit for worn carpet. Hired a professional cleaning service when I moved out so everything was sparkless.Apartments are nice but with the airport and train tracks being near by you always hear planes and tranes going by. Maybe a bother for some.Noticed quite a few reviews were written about 4wks ago, makes me think they were giving a discount if you left a good review.
I have been living here about 19 months and have been happy with almost everything about my experience. yes its expensive but everything in oak creek is getting expensive; this place was only $70 more/month than my previous place in oak creek, which was old and outdated. ill pay basically the same for brand new everything thank you very much. i do wish the attached garage units were a bit cheaper, but i do like the assigned parking. my unit was in one of the first buildings to be constructed so i had signed a lease before construction was completed, i was actually able to tour my unit during construction and they let me use the workout facilities as soon as i signed a lease, so 3 months or so before i even moved in. maintenance requests are always taken care of asap and with good resolution. im right in the middle on the 1st floor and i rarely have to turn on my heat until the dead of winter because im getting so much from the surrounding apartments. my electric bill is usually $40 month cheaper here than in my previous older 1BR in OC. Either my neighbors are quiet or the walls are good because I never hear anybody. The community is quiet and diverse. Pet friendly. Highly recommend.
Amazing Apartements to live in! Hands down the best apartments around and the staff is absolutely awesome.
Beware...! Read on before you even concider Drexel Ridge Apartments.1) The airplanes sound like they are going to hit your apartment. If you want to wake up at 4:50am to the sound of airplanes, then this is the place for you. You also get trains sounding their horns in the middle of the night.2) Make sure you like your neighbors because the walls are paper thin and can hear everything they are saying or doing. If you live upstairs get ready for your housemates on the first floor to complain to management. Don’t run your washer or dryer before 7:00 or you will get a plesent reminder to be more conciderate of your neighbors.3) Over priced...! $1800 for 2 bedroom.I am a current resident and wanted to live closer to my family. I knew they were overpriced, but really did not have much of a choice. I bit the bullet and signed a one year lease in hopes for the best. I asked about noise levels and the leasing office said it was quite here. They must be hard of hearing because the plane noise is the lodest I have ever heard. The positives is that they have a free coffee machine in the club house. I hope this helps someone know the facts before they are locked into a lease they can’t get out of.
Juvinile small minded approval processI am a 33 year old male and college graduate. Ive been at my job securely for 5 years and I make a solid 40 thousand a year, I have no partner, kids, pets, criminal record, evictions, or bankrupty filings. My only drawback has been my credit score. Due to my dads terminal health condition of congestive heart failure I have had to take full control of his affairs for the last year until his death in January. Everyone has a parent that will die, and no one can properly budget that. Epecially if that parent was in debt.I was interested in the 1B unit so I handed in my $20 check with the simple application. I was told I would hear back the next day by end of the day with approval decision. I was told there was 3 responses; Approval (500 deposit), approval with condition (1000 deposit), and denial. The next day I heard nothing. Checked my phone, voicemails, and email for good measure. Nothing. I got an alert from Credit Karma that my score was checked and it showed the $20 check was cashed on my bank account the NEXT day! Yet no call? I paid $20, which still makes me a customer to service. The THIRD day I waited, and waited, then finally gave in a half hour before they closed at 6 to get a decision (48 hours later I had to take upon mysef to get). I was told there was a stack of applications and she placed me on hold to go find mine?!I was told I was denied based on my credit score. Seeing I work in billing and internal revenue I asked what score is needed to be approved. She told me she didnt know and it was run through a 3rd party company. Where is the fair effort put into decision making for a rental lease by looking at all qualifying factors? It perplexes me to be denied from a non-collateral contract when I make good money and have no record.STILL confident in my qualifications despite their answer- I offered her a 1000 security deposit PLUS 2 months of rent up front; (3600). She still denied this arrangement and told me they have to go off the 3rd party decision. (No you dont your third party company doesnt care who you rent to.)Ive been paying 154 dollars *MORE* at my current property and my current property is offering me a 15 month lease again that is 184 *more* than Drexel Ridges rent. $1500 a month lease offered to me at current place! Like - What?...For a $1300 unit with rough commercial business carpet finises, small living room space, a dinky bedroom, no utilities, no access to the water heater (janitorial lock), and a neighbors porch as my patio view...I felt 3600 was *more* then generous. If you have solid income, good rental history, and no criminal record, dont go here because that dont matter - Youre basically applying for a capital one renter card that wont call you back if rejected. Will NEVER recommend to the National Council of Interior Design or my design clients.
