As for now, Ive been living here for a year and its actually okay with the exception of two things; the loud music and the gates are ALWAYS broken. Well they WERE always broken or open before I called corporate. Its sad to say but I had to do that. I paid about 60.00 for a fob that I was rarely using. I am using it now more because they are trying to keep it closed.I am still over the loud music though. Its blasting every single day. I am so tired of it on the side of me. Its no longer on the top. Someone must have moved. However, someone in the building next to me or side of me must not work at all. Its always blasting. I cant even focus on my work. Often times about 1:00 P.M. to sometimes at night. There was even one incident where the girl came and of course by that point the music stopped. She clearly told me she had an idea of who it was, etc. When I called to discuss/ report it again with the front office, they came off like I was making it up or just complaining just to do so. I know what I was told. This is why sometimes its just best to go corporate. Since I have about that gate, they are trying to do better but it shouldnt take all of that. The leasing staff are usually just friendly to your face but thats about it. Most of my requests to investigate or stop the music have produced no result. I may end up calling about the music rules next. Its sad that I have to do that but I pay over a thousand dollars in rent. I am not going to be uncomfortable in my own home and I am not about to keep complaining. Just fix the problem and or make better rules. If they would be genuinely nice and enforce or have better the rules, this place would be a lot better. It is actually a nice apartment complex.
This is my third month living in this apartment complex, and its OK. I found out that Im paying almost $300 more than the next person with the EXACT same type of unit. I was lied to about the washer ans dryer situation. I can say Ive had to call maintenance 3 times so far and the problem was fixed the same day. I only picked this neighborhood due to the elementary school, square footage, and location. Im not that happy but hey apartment living. I probably wont be renewing my lease!!
My wife Tina and I loved living here before we built our house in Pimlico.
Poorly trained management (most dogs are better trained than their staff) and much better places for your $$$
All I can say is the Legends is first class the grounds and staff are all so cool you ask for anything they help instantly, thank you.
I joined the Legends at Charleston Park Community and I absolutely love it! The management team are always very happy to help me anytime I visit the office! The maintenance team are very quick to respond to any maintenance issues that have occurred. I feel right at home here at Legends at Charleston Park!
I love it here! Everybody is so warm and friendly! I’m super close to work so now I get to come spend more time in my awesome home. Really happy that I moved here
Love living here! A very nice, small gated community! Very close to restaurants and grocery stores. Not far from the interstate and right off Dorchester road, but also hidden by trees and only residential traffic! Ammendities are amazing! Lovely outdoor spaces including a very nice pool area! Gym, pool table, and office area!
When my daughter and I first started moving in from my friends we had been staying with we were in an empty apartment with an air mattress, I called the office one day to ask a question and I was asked if we were getting settled in and how things were going? My response was, I need to find someone to help move us in and she ended up getting me connected with someone who could help! Very grateful for the help! The ladies in the office all 3 are so sweet and make everyone feel welcome! The community is gated and quiet! Very happy to be here!
For what they expect for rent is outrageous compared to what you get for your money. The walls are paper thin. The office staff can be rude ti say the least. All the people I talked to when I was living there said the exact same thing.
I loved living there. The staff is super awesome and friendly. Its community is quiet too!!!
We have enjoyed our time here. The staff is friendly and helpful and really care about the residents. We have had quick responses in any situation we have requested service.
Large one bedroom apartment and had a great view. I am moving out due to location being too inconvenient for my job but if it wasnt for that, I would gladly stay. The maintenance is AWESOME!! If you have pets, there is a gorgeous park (Wescott) that is essentially attached to the property. My dog loved walking there and we made many friends at that public dog park. Neighbors are great, chatty, and helpful. All apartments are re-painted and carpeted before move in as well as free weekly pest control. I didnt really have too much of problem in that area though, even on the pond facing the woods.Washer are dryer hookups as well as being able to rent them from a third party and those were in fantastic shape. I think the only complaint I have is parking is slim-to-none but in building 1100 we didnt have any problems. The only time I saw it became a real problem was coming back home after 10pm on weekends. Another thing is the gate - sometimes it doesnt work and its in the upright position.I can honesty say that in all the times it was up, we live in a really great part of North Charleston where this wasnt a problem. As for everyone on here complaining about not getting their deposits back, thats on them to read fine print and realize that deposits are not refundable. That is not against this apartment community or staff in any way.
DO NOT RENT HERE... if I can save one person, my pain...Cons:1. No water pressure2. No parking even though they give you a sticker, they dont enforce the rules so guests use up all the spots from residents.Lastly, I am a good tenant. Never late. I gave them a 98 day notice that I wouldnt be renewing my lease. I ended up getting a job and needed to terminate my lease early. Although I was willing to pay through to my 60 day notice, they treated me like I gave no notice and I still had to pay 2 months rent. Just awful. The manager, Kristina was over talking me so badly that I told her that she wasnt being fair.DO NOT MOVE HERE... much cheaper and nice places in Summerville.
Excellent staff, Excellent service, Excellent upkeep on grounds, Excellent amenities, Excellent location, Easy to enter and leave community, its simply an excellent place to live! I really enjoy living here, its home!
I love living here. If I could I would live here forever but unfortunately rents gets higher every year. Great location and staff is very attentive.
I have lived in this complex for the past 10 years and have loved it !It is an older community but has been well maintained and the office staff is amazing .I would certainly recommend this community to anyone looking for a new home !
Miranda and Heather were incredibly helpful and made the rental process easy. The apartment complex is big and clean with great amenities and plenty of parking.
At six years, its my second-longest stay in any apartment complex. I cant speak to the amenities because Ive never used them. But the staff is excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent response time to maintenance issues. The location is excellent, right between a Publix and a Harris Teeter. Its a great neighborhood, with little crime that Ive seen. Next door to the Wescott Little League Park, and a mile from the local Starbucks.
It is a joke to call this place luxury living. They installed low flow water filters and the water comes out like a drizzle. You will be frustrated brushing your teeth. Mgt told me that I can buy something to improve the water flow. What? After they messed it up... and we pay our own water bill. Why did that mess up the water pressure in the first place. Theres no parking and the gate is a joke. It is broken half the time. This is not luxury. Not worth the money.
Ive lived here for 8 years since then Ive experienced many management changes and broken verbals. Many lease enforcements sway here and there. I believe that, (as all for profit buisness) fill empty units at all cost. Especially when you are selling. Dont believe this is a secure apartment complex because gates are open 70 to 80% of time. Cars are broken into frequently, mine 3 times this month 10 times that I know of in my stay here. Not worth what you expect girl the money you pay. I have mold and upgrades that were promised to be taken care of, but nothing has been done. Please beware.
Absolutely recommend. The staff is impeccable and they def make you feel like family and will do anything to keep you happy!
Its a nice and quiet gated community and so far all the staff and neighbors have been very nice and friendly.
Friendly staff! Fast solution to a problem if one occurs. When the trash compactor broke - the team had a container ready for us in no time.
BEWARE!!!! This place is full of thieves!! I saw a lady go through someone else’s bag right outside in the parking lot. Also, over the weekend my kids bikes were stolen from this place and we live on he third floor!! No security whatsoever. Handymen come into units unannounced!! Gate service is a joke!! And something that we have to pay for. No surveillance cameras anywhere. I ll be breaking lease and moving somewhere else due to my family not feeling safe here.
Great ladies in office! Big rooms closets and tub!
Amazing, friendly, attentive staff. Roomy apartments. Updated. Great location. Absolutely worth the money.
Ive been living here for over 5 years. Legends of Charleston is conveniently located to schools, shopping, and recreation.
Made it sound like I would get my deposit back if I decided not to go with the apartment as I was from out of town when I put in my application. I went and toured an apartment and it smelled like lysol and the walls were quite worn. I decided against renting there and they would not return my security deposit.
This place sucks
