The office staff were great. They were pleasant, and welcoming. They answer all my questions and gave perfect instructions on how to use the on line services. Best experience I had in the past few months. Others should take a page out of their books if they care to get a glimpse of how it should be done.

I addressed my issues with the younger maintenance guy and he went above and beyond And brought me another window unit until the HVAC SPECIALIST comes to service our unit. Now my kids arent so miserable on a school night because its so hot. Thanks to the younger maintenance guy that understood my problems. I give him Five stars!!

Don’t waste your money !!! Run !!!We lived here for 3 years, the maintenance service was disgusting to us before we left we were 3 months without central AC in the whole apartment, every day we called and sent us many requests no one ever came to our aid, my little boy died from the heat inside, they gave us a horrible treatment despite having been on time with payments, the maintenance staff would pick up our mail packages and open them without our consent, and they were too rude especially a fat old man. I do not recommend that they go there, many people left this course this year, the over-costs that the staff people invent are crazy, they are too abusive and they are cordial but in reality they are not

DO NOT RENT HERE! I lived here for almost two years and it has been nothing but hell. Within the first few months of our lease, I realized that we had mold. I was 6 months pregnant and I begged for someone to come out and fix the issue. They declined and when I reached out to the property manager she stated “it’s probably just water damage” without even coming to check. They did nothing about the situation until I threatened to report them. They final straw was when our apartment was broken into and the property manager did absolutely NOTHING to help us. We slept with chairs stacked behind our front door until we finally just decided to break our lease and leave because they wouldn’t fix our door. They also tried to charge us for damage that was done by the intruders. Please, do not move your family here! It is not worth it.

Move in process was horribly I applied for a certain floor plan got moved into another the crazy part is no one told me about the switch I found out for myself and this was after my move in date was pushed back a week two days before original move in. So after all that I moved in and the apartment is dirty I mean dead bugs, spider web, and dirt everywhere photos will be attached. Also NONE of the windows open and dishwasher leaked. Was told the apartment was updated and nothing in here seems updated at all. Just a few photos added the rest are videos

Lived here back in 2012 and moved back in when work brought my back to south carolina.The apartment complex was always nice but has only improved since the change in management and the investments they made in the property.Maintenance is technically skilled and responsive to maintenance requests they receive. Our AC went out due to a failed condenser in the summer heat and our technician, Gene, quickly replaced the part and repaired the unit and within and hour of starting work had cool air flowing again, better than it had before.

My sister lives here and this place is such a disgrace to apartment living and management. Property Managers, Maintenance Staff and Management Companies and should be held to a higher standard. Living in an apartment with a ceiling leak for more than 4 months now is beyond ridiculous. This issue was repaired by replacing the soggy and falling apart portion of the ceiling but nor repairing the leak! Which just made now an even bigger mess. Its not been a priority on anyones list to repair and the lies that come from onsite Property Management and Maintenance are infuriating. Lies on top of lies and repairs that are never fixed. Good luck asking for corporate information because they flat out refuse. Would never recommend anyone to waste their money here unless they can guarantee a problem free apartment.

I dont ever leave reviews, but I will go out of my way to tell anyone I can NEVER to sign a lease here. Do not be deceived by the good reviews. The new management is unbelievably ineffective, unprofessional, disrespectful, unhelpful, and unresponsive.I lived here for 4 months and couldnt take it anymore. I had to go over the property managers head to get any movement or progress on anything.My A/C went out, off and on, for over 2 months, and eventually we had to sweat out over 80 degree temps daily for the last two weeks. I put in a maintenance request immediately at the start and called and called. We were told that all of our issues were non-essential. The a/c was problem 1 of 8 that were all labeled non-essential. It wasnt until I started calling regional managers that things started getting done.If I am paying you to live in your facilities, youd better make sure your utilities and appliances are working. Anything that you can think of going wrong, went wrong here. It was horrible. Not to mention the place was TRASHED on the day of move-in.I documented and photographed everything.Needless to say, this place isnt worth the time, money, or trouble. You get what you pay for here: cheap. Spare yourself, and dont even consider Arium Living.The Carroll Company should be ashamed of their Arium Living group.

I left a 5 star review when I first moved in and here we are almost 2 years later and I LOVE this place. The staff people are so nice! My neighbors are amazing. The maintenance people are incredible and quick to get to any work orders that are posted. They have drastically changed the whole look of this complex. I am so proud of where I live!!

Since new management took over about 2 years ago things have improved drastically! If there is an issue, they are quick to solve it. They have painted every building, given new roofing, upgraded the office, created an outdoor space for guests, created a dog park and are working on so much more! The resident facilities and accommodations have exponentially improved. We are happy to live at Arium St. Ives and will continue to enjoy living here.

I Would Never recommend place to anyone. This is the worst experience. You can never get a response from anyone when there is a problem. It’s like you get here and you’re on your own. I have never felt so unheard. Don’t waste your money here. They make it sound good at first just to get you to sign a lease then you get no response. I still can’t get a maintenance ticket worked. If I could rate this zero stars I would. I can’t believe this is how they treat people here.

My experience here has been great! Any issues that may present themselves they are very helpful. When storms are approaching, they warn you and try to help. They run constant contests and you can win a multitude of things. 10/10 would recommend to move here!

Do yourself a favor and live ANYWHERE else! I lived at this complex for a year. Half under old management and half under new management. Both of which were horrible. The apartment was horrible quality and customer service on any issue was like pulling teeth. Anytime I called to talk to someone I was told “we will call you back” and never received a response.As for conditions, several times when I had to get up for work, there was no water and on several occasions, I ended up with water damage from other apartments.Not to mention the people that lived there were fighting in the parking lots, selling drugs, etc. it was a great to have the police knocking at my door several times looking for people in the complex. The mailboxes were broken into multiple times and the post offices refused to deliver mail for a period of time due to this. Worst experience I have had thus far.

I moved here in September and i love it!!! My apartment was clean and the leasing agent Stephen made this the easiest transition. I love the neighborhood and any request i put in are handled in a timely manner. I will definitely be renewing my lease when the time comes. The first day i moved in my granddaughter came to visit and the carpet was so clean i let her play on it.

It was great at first but very soon in things were horrible. We had no hot water for a week. It happened about 3 times. The thermostat is old and broken and the AC always cunks out. The outlets has shocked me multiple times and many don’t work. My front door handle kept falling off leaving my home open to the outside all because the only put one screw in the door knob and on top of that it was the wrong size. I asked for them to replace it and it never got done. I had to buy a new one for my apt. The bathroom toilets never work and constantly flood the floors. The kitchen sink has a horrible leak and it get half fixed Everytime. There’s always something going on and I wouldn’t recommend living here to anyone.

DON’T MOVE HERE!!! This apartment complex is a mess. We literally move in one day and moved out the next. The biggest problem - bugs!! And not little bugs, like our whole apartment was infest with cockroaches, not to mention palmetto bugs are everywhere outside. Like I don’t mind one or two but it’s a clear problem. We told the complex and they said they couldn’t even fix it until the next day, like they wanted us to live there an extra day with all those bugs. Another problem - The AC system doesn’t work. When we talked to them about it, they said it was a problem everywhere and couldn’t fix it. These apartments don’t have ceiling fans so it’s like 90 degrees in each apartment. There were other smaller but still significant problem like the whole apartment wasn’t cleaned as all (we found stains in the fridge and we were missing a shelf) and they literally changed our apartment at the last minute and didn’t tell us, we had to see it on the lease and when confronted, they didn’t seem to see the problem. Also a ton of their amenities are down. No communication skills at all, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!

This place is overpriced, inattentive, and unprofessional.I am currently a resident here and have paid two months rents so far. We were delayed in being able to move in and when we finally COULD move in, it was a disaster.Everyday, it seems, we have a new maintenance request. NOT A SINGLE ONE HAS BEEN FIXED. I currently have a hole in the master bedroom ceiling that is ACTIVELY dripping. Guess what?! Its still not fixed. I WILL NOT BE EXTENDING MY LEASE.

This place is awful. My fiancé moved here about 6 months ago when it was Spring House. Even with the transition it seems the staff does not care about their tenants. You inform them of anything and you’re lucky if it’s taken care of within the month. They have roofing happening right now and there are nails all over the parking lot. Do not drive anywhere near here. I have informed them of the roofing nails multiple times. You can literally walk into the parking lot and pick up hand fulls.

Where do I begin with this place? When I first moved into the complex the managers did not care at all about the upkeep. I had a hole leaking water in my closet. Palmetto bugs everywhere. I had to leave 2 sticky pads near the windows monthly to catch the spiders and roaches. On top of that I had an old AC unit. It gave out twice, and it took almost 2 months for me to get a new one due to them allowing the old to run until it FINALLY gave out. When Springhouse got new managers, it was fine one temporary point. Now they have a new manager, Heidi Madden. Before I was to move out, my new AC unit gave out. The temperature on the thermostat rose to 85 degrees and climbing. I let the office know and put in a emergency maintenance request. I was told that it is not critical unless the temperature is above 85 degrees, and since mine was above 85 degrees, maintenance will do an emergency fix. The unit got somewhat fixed 2 days later, and I had to stay with someone else due to the unbearable temperature. Remind you, this is in the SUMMER time in Charleston!!!!! Also, the old AC unit issue is universal, they WILL NOT replace your unit with a new one until it gives out.The pool. I only went swimming in the pool one time in my whole time staying there. I went back to the leasing office to discuss an outstanding bill notice. I go outside to get in my car, and noticed that the pool water is a greenish color with a ring in it. They DO NOT clean it.Also, the apartment complex is a THIEF. I asked Heidi Madden, leasing manager, explicitly if I needed to pay any further outstanding balances past my last day of paying the water bill. She said No. Then I get a notice in my new apartment mailbox weeks later of owing $127 dollars (trash to use their dumpster, carpet cleaning, remaining power outside of SCE&G, and for my fireplace which I NEVER used). She came up with this amount WITHOUT doing a walk-through of the apartment!!!!***Unclean breezeways, old AC units, bugs, dirty carpet, dirt falling from the ceiling.PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. STAY AWAY!!! GOOD REVIEWS COME FROM PEOPLE WITH NO CONCERNS OR THE LEASING OFFICE PEOPLE THEMSELVES.

This place is a joke, honestly. We thought this was going to be the perfect apartment for such a young couple, but i have never had as many problems in my life as i had here. We moved in without our garbage disposal working and it stayed that way for a year, let me remind you we asked for 8 MONTHS for someone to come fix it and NOBODY DID! We went to the pool for our first time since we moved in the middle of summer and we were just completely disgusted with it. There was hair all in the pool, just nasty things floating in it, it was just terrible. Our electricity would just randomly go out, NOT BECAUSE WE DIDNT PAY BECAUSE I ASKED OUR NEIGHBORS! We also had MULTIPLE incidences with cops and drug busts. It was terrible. Our dishwasher stopped working and shook so bad that it came out of place and in the middle of our kitchen! We had holes under our sink causing fleas to get in and out of our apartment sending me to the hospital because of a huge reaction that i had because of them. We had screws sticking out of our counter in the kitchen. Our AC went out for 5 weeks. After 3 days of it being out, in hopes it would start working on itself and it didnt, we finally called maintenance. We were told for 4 1/2 weeks after someone would be coming out. Nobody did. We then FINALLY had someone come out who SLIGHTLY fixed the AC and then proceeded to crack the water pump causing our living room to flood. They then had to pull up the carpet and place a dryer underneath to dry up everything, acceptable, except for the fact that it was there for almost 2 weeks and then they never fixed the carpet. We then had new neighbors to move upstairs who ended up busting a pipe for their washer and dryer, which was okay because mistakes happen. Well, when we told the maintenance so they could fix it, they never came out. So we had water sitting in and on a wall for a month and probably still there molding, which is just completely absurd. And to top this all off, we were CHARGED with the damage of the carpet DUE to Springhouse! Just writing this review makes me so aggravated and to see that the EMPLOYEES are writing good reviews makes me even more mad. You want to make yourself sound good when there is NOTHING but bad reviews from people who have ACTUALLY experienced the truth! UGH!

The office staff will tell you theyre working to make things better, which is true, until the corporation fires them! The corporation of the complex is only interested in your money- not ensuring you have a clean, safe space to live! I have seen horrors! If I could give 0 stars I would. Arium at St.Ives/North Charleston is nothing but a scam. Don’t live here. My boyfriend was suppose to move into the Arium at North Charleston but when got to the leasing office on his move-in date (after he already paid the security deposit on-line) his apartment wasn’t ready and they offered him another apartment in St.Ives. No one had even went to inspect and clean up the apartment. He asked them what would the rent be and they told him the same as the other apartment. Then 2 weeks ago they sent him a new lease with the rent being $200 more than what they originally told him. On top of that because the rent is more now his security deposit is more. If you ask me I think this is their scam to get more money out of people. They tell your apartment would be ready then it’s not then they put you in more expensive apartment and tell you lies. Whatever you don’t move into either one of these apartment complex. It’s just a rip-off. And all the leasing office does is put blame on each other and no one has the answers. Just horrible.

Obviously all of these good reviews are written by the managers or their friends because nothing in the positive reviews is accurate. The people that work in the office are terrible, theyre extremely nice to you until you sign your lease, then they could give two squats about you and what you need. Maintenance never comes, so hope that whatever breaks you dont need immediately! My back door didnt lock for the first two weeks that I lived here, and they never came to fix it. My dad had to fix it for me. People let their dogs crap all over the yard and dont clean it up, the landscaping people pile pine straw on top of the old stuff, and theres bugs EVERYWHERE. Ive called the office twice about having pest control come by my apartment, and he hasnt come once. I wont even go to the pool, but ive been told that the water is always cloudy. The walls (and ceilings) in the apartments are like paper; Ive been woken up almost every night by my stomping upstairs neighbors. These apartments are old, outdated, and in dire need of repair but they cant keep staff (management included) long enough to be useful. Ive only been here for a month and I already want to break my lease. AVOID THIS PLACE.

This review is coming from an Army veteran so do with that as you may. I put the application in on a unit remotely given I work in Mount Pleasant. First I was told the unit I selected overlooked the forest in the back. Instead it was on the opposite side and faced a melancholy view of the back of a building. I was never shown the location and had to drive through the complex to view it myself. The potential neighbor approached me and asked me if my unit also had roaches too and I didnt even live there yet. I urge you to be observant of how many window AC units are rampant throughout the complex. This means that many residents are suffering through the summer with no AC. When I came back to the leasing office and walked through the door another resident was complaining and being talked down to by the management staff. I over heard the entire conversation and it was grim. I wasnt going to even write this review until recently when I found out I was called up on military orders. Turns out that is not sufficient to have your app and admin fees returned to you. When I explained the situation there was an incredibly condescending attitude like it was my fault for attempting to apply. I was then told to provide a copy of my orders as if I was a liar to MAYBE have my money returned. Like a good customer service agent they then gave me the quintessential 1-800 number to call. I am now out over $300 for nothing even when they explained to me the fees could be returned but apparently not for someone who is about to leave everything behind to go fight for this country. You can keep your $300 Spring House. I dont need it that bad.

There are several things I would like to say.First, I should not be chastise for exercising my freedom of speech, and if someone offends me, I have the right to address my offender.1. What is the deal with the apartments raising rent based on a market rate. The condition of these apartments are not worth the increase.2. Property managers only lasting for 3 to 6 months, then they are released of their obligations, due to the lies and false promises made.3. The water company allowing the apartment complex to regulate payment based on occupants and square footage due to the apartment only having one meter per unit. LETS ALL JUST KEEP OUR WATER RUNNING 24/7, since we all split the payment.4. How you can call yourself a professional, when you can not communicate effectively with your tenants, dont have any problems collecting rent on time.5. New tenants should always check to see if their carpet was professionally clean or replaced. Previous tenant COULD OF HAD an animal, which this is something that SHOULD be addressed.6. The list goes on, what happened to honesty, loyalty and dedication to mankind. It may not be the intention of every man or woman to own a house, these types of misconduct, forces people to move and give negative rating like the ones posted, its sad, but in the end, WE ALL WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR OUR ACTIONS!!!!

The clubhouse and gym are by far the best things here. The staff is nice and the neighbors are good. My only downside here is that sometimes I see dog poop on the side walk. It gets cleaned up the next day but still.

Mold, fleas, bed bugs, old A/C unit that doesnt work properly, a leak that is now drenching the carpet, rude management that work around issues only to ignore your requests and/or cancel them without your knowledge, and these are only the major things. There has been mold in the apartment I stay at. The laundry room wall was so bad it caved in and there was a gaping hole. The bathroom cabinets have yet to be replaced due to the mold. The laundry room wall hole has been covered up by maintenance, like a bandaid, so you can no longer see the mold on the inside of the walls. If you cant see it, it isnt an issue. The man that is head of maintenance for Spring House promised to come the next day to measure our cabinet to replace the old never came. We know this because of the camera we placed in the apartment due to a break in that occurred a few nights before. Thankfully they changed our locks the next day! Only because we had the lady in management sign our request to have it changed before a certain time due to safety concerns, our own concerns of course. As soon as we asked her to sign she said she could no longer do it for free since it was now official. We were then charged $35. Our electric bill has skyrocketed from tops $140 to $245 within a month and still rising. We assumed our dog had an accident in the house next to our door however the floor remains to remain drenched and is starting to spread throughout the living room. I went online to try and find an emergency contact to ATTEMPT to have the issue resolved however where this emergency contact is, I am not so sure. I did however find this on Google and figured I should at the very least let everyone know that this place seems to go out of their way to be the prime example of HORRIFIC! I would be better off living in my car. Friends dont let friends sign a lease for Spring House.

The people that run this apartment make it worth living here. Good staff and maintenance. Clean place. Two of my biggest issues are the other tenants sometimes are noisy and the parking structure is pretty bad. It is doable but needs work.

I have been living at Spring House Apartments for 6 months, and I can tell you for a FACT, that most of the other reviews for Spring House are totally false!First of all, the other reviews name the names of the women in the leasing office and how helpful they are/were...those cant be true because none of the women in the leasing office stick around long enough for you to even learn their names. There is probably about a two-week turn-over period for them because they are all incompetent. Every single month I am told I am delinquent on one bill or another from them, and every single month I have to go in and show them that the money was already taken out of my bank account on time! Also, if you are such a terrible friend that you would recommend a place like Spring House, then you can just forget about the $100 referral savings on rent because they make it such a hassle to get your money that it doesnt even seem worth it.When we first moved in, our apartment needed new carpets, which they chose NOT to replace, and there was basically a thick, lumped on coat of paint over everything. The old tenants would have been painted against the wall had they not moved out quickly enough. Drips and globs of paint everywhere, along with peeling paint off doors and walls, and this is all the very first day we moved in! Then, the first week we lived there, tiles fell off one of our bathroom walls and the blinds broke in our bedroom (through no fault of our own). The blinds in our bedroom our still broken 6 months and two trips from maintenance later.The maintenance takes two-four weeks to get to the job you requested even attempted, sometimes more. If you dont call daily to remind them that your apartment needs maintenance, then they wont bother to come and fix it all. I have a dog that I always try to clean up after, but sometimes the designated dog-waste bins around the complex are literally overflowing with bags of dog poop, so you have no where to put the waste anymore. It doesnt stay overflowing for just a day either, they leave it for a month or more!I will say, I think my apartment is a nice size (the Trellis), and rent is fair.Believe me, I wish I could say I was exaggerating, but this is the truth of Spring House. I would not tell my very worst enemy to move into these apartments!

If I could rate them lower than one star I would. As others are saying in the comments changing the name didn’t do a thing. Every management company they get is worst than the last. My maintenance requests take a week or more to be filled now. Literally upon moving in December of 2017 I had absolutely no heat. The maintenance staff decided that in the interim of them fixing it, they would provide two space heaters for our two bedroom apartment. Although they “fixed” the heating issue there was an issue with the blower. Due to the way the apartment is set up the blower is closest to the spare and not the so called “master bedroom” where you literally only have enough room to stand up in and turn around without bumping into something, this room was the coldest due to the fact that it was so “far away from the blower”. So during the summer his room is always the hottest for the same reason. I had an issue with mold that they claim to be mildew although mildew is still a type of mold. If you ask me, they need to stop leasing, allow all current tenants a 2-3 month notice to move out and bomb this place. I mean tear down all buildings and just start over again. I will say that prior to the Carroll management company taking over, Jessica in the front office was pretty helpful. I know nothing about the new staff and I don’t care to. I recommend looking elsewhere personally, it’s overpriced for no reason just like a lot of other places in charleston! I wish the housing market was better at the moment because I’d break my lease in a heartbeat.

If I could give a zero I would. My girlfriend and I moved in August. Met with the young lady in the office and she seemed very knowledgeable. I had asked her why there was so many negative reviews and her response was Because people dont like to pay rent. What an ignorant and unprofessional statement.Anyway. Since the recent floods, our 2nd floor apartment has bad leaking ceilings. It took them all of FOUR WEEKS to return our call and now we have mold.All of our windows were painted shut.Carpet it coming up after the first vacuum.The bathroom tile is FALLING OUT with mold directly behind it. The bathroom ceiling fan is loud and rarely works.This place is worse then the college dorms and apartments I stayed in. The front office doesnt care.In the few months weve been here we have paid all bills on time to the front office directly. Yet somehow they keep losing our payments and we keep receiving delinquent notices. Oh! Did I mention that the bills are all dropped off by little kids (around 6-7), unsealed, and a folded sheet that shows a balance and delinquent notices (confidentiality?) to peoples front doors. Im pretty sure thats not legal.The staff is not consistent. I have not seen the same person more than once when going to the office.The Amenities are never open and closed to the time they say either. I had walked down to get a workout in (hours 8am-9pm) at 5pm and everything was locked. This was on a Thursday.Anyone wanting to move to a nice place in the Charleston area RUN from this place. Its terrible, unprofessional, and I would NEVER recommend someone move here.

Ok where do I start. I have lived here for 4 years and when we 1st moved in it was Springhouse Apartments owned my JRK Properties. It was a nightmare to say the least and it would take me all day to tell you about it.Since they changed companies they are now Arium St. Ives and I couldnt be happier!! This property was a mess before and little by little they are turning this place around. Maintenance was a huge issue before, one of many issues with Springhouse. Now they are on top of everything. The manager Sabra is a gem and has really done a wonderful job at turning this property around!! Thank you!!!8/10/19 Update.I see a lot of horrible reviews on here from people but please understand this; When this place was Springhouse under JRK it was awful and thats an understatement!!!! Now that Arium has taken over under new ownership, I have seen nothing but great improvements. Please know that since this property was in such bad shape before it is going to take some time for new management to get everything in order. They are truly doing a great job so far!! I received an email the other day and I am sooooo excited that not only are they starting the remodel on the gym, we are getting a dog park!!! YES!!!!!! I am super excited about this. When I met with Sabra the manager a while back she said if we have any suggestions as to what they can do to improve this place to let them know. I mentioned then changing the tennis court to a dog park because this is a pet friendly community and now we are getting one!!! That just shows me that not only are they working hard to clean this place up, but they also listen and take our suggestions seriously. My neighbors were fine and quiet. The place is a dump and they know it. The location is great. The people in the office changes frequently. The place smells of mold all of the time. Maintenance is so overworked due to the place falling apart, it takes at least 2 weeks to get something done, or the work order disappears in their computer. It takes at least 3 visits to the office to catch anyone there. Please stay away. You will regret it. I thought I was taking a friendly used apartment so I could save money on rent. Well yes it started out that way then after 8 months they tell me my rent will go up $100 for the next year. I asked for some consideration since I am a good neighbor and treat their property responsibly. They replied So you are telling me you are moving? or staying? I was just diagnosed with uterine cancer, facing a hysterectomy and who knows what. I was not able to pack and move but I found a way to do it, so that I could get away from there. Dont even go look at them, please.

This apartment complex sucks, there are no permanent maint. so whatever one has a problem with they just have to deal with. The leasing manager changes ever 4-6 months seems like and they dont know what they are doing. The pool seems to be closed everyday or randomly except for the weekend sometime.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! This place is so bad, I believe Springhouse should pay for therapy sessions for all past tenants just so we can cope with the horror we have had to live through. I was new to the area and had no internet to check any reviews before I moved in and I was never shown my apartment before I signed my lease. Huge mistake. I was tricked by the well-kept model apartment and not shown my own because of how filthy and roach-infested it was. When I moved in, the floors were covered in cat litter and cat food, the bathroom smelled bad, and it took 3 days of cleaning before I could even unpack. They had not cleaned or swept this place in what looked like ever. My boyfriend and I would kill AT LEAST 10-15 large cockroaches every single night during the summer. We would find cockroaches crawling on us while we slept, find them crawling on our toothbrushes, and I even had one JUMP IN MY POT OF SOUP AS I WAS COOKING IT ON THE STOVE. Had I not seen it in that moment I would have EATEN IT!!!!! We discovered a 3/8in. gap between the carpet and wall around the entire perimeter of the house which we had to duct tape shut just to keep cockroaches and millipedes out... but guess what? They now come in through the drains! We got water damage after Hurricane Matthew (which has yet to be repaired - will probably never be repaired), and after we complained, they acted like it was our fault! Not to mention all of the mold in our vents, grout, and under the carpet that has been left and painted over all of these years. I bought a mold test kit myself just to see how bad it was and the test kit had results that were through the roof. The laundry room is so nasty it might as well be a landfill and I even got 3 items of new clothing stolen right out of the wash. I had lived in 100 year old party houses during my college years that were luxury compared to this place. To anyone reading this -- I recommend you pay a higher rent to live literally anywhere else but here.

Avoid at all cost, They make promises they never keep. They are constantly firing and re hiring new staff so nobody ever knows whats going on. Nobody picks up after their pet so there is always waste in the paths to the apartments. The apartments they rent look nothing like the models they show you. event he breeze ways are different then where the models are, everything is really dirty once youve already paid and walking up to your apartment it looks like they have never cleaned the breeze ways. the apartments have bugs, even tho they offer pest control you have to remember to sign up every week in the office. Then they charge so much for there crappy apartments they the dont update. If you looking for a place to live try to make this a last resort.

This is definitely top 3 of the worst experience Ive had. Maintenance people never come to fix what i request, pest control never appears. Work orders are put in and closed without ever actually being worked or even better, they never get put in at all. Place is falling apart, mold in the unit due to leaks in the ceiling, on the bar and in the laundry room. Instead of replacing water damage its covered up w a bandaid solution. Office people are polite to your face but never do what they promise. Over priced for a badly kept community. Also, noticed this place has gone through 2 management changes from the original in less than a year, recently picking up VTT management. Lived in 2 other complexes managed by them and the same problems i had living with them managing those properties have now come back to this one as well. Staff does nothing but lie, and place blame on old management and other coworkers instead of taking ownership for the mistakes. I highly recommend everyone to avoid this place as its a black hole for your funds and not really a safe (health wise) environment.

I have a total of nine leaks in my roof. I have black mold growing in my apartment. I have took multiple pictures and 1 year later and four managers later the problem still existed after multiple work orders. I cant take a long shower because my plumbing in my apartment doesnt work. I also have a whole in between my door and bugs, water, and everything gets into my apartment. Please dont move here if you dont have to they wont fix anything and expect you to live in those conditions and be understanding but want 856.00 for a one bedroom and will file eviction on the 12 TH of each month faithfully but forget to fix the problems in my apartment. Please dont ever move to springhouse, if I could post pictures I would to prove to you they arent worth the money they charge.

I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! I moved in & AS SOON AS I exited the grace period I have experienced NOTHING BUT problems in my apartment. Constant water damage. (That has yet to be completely fixed SIX months later) Bugs. Heat didnt work in winter. AC shut down TWICE at peak of summer. Each issue I was being told it was being fixed (lies which everyone blamed on someone else) and to top it off I called coporate and sent MANY photos on why Id like to be released and was told it wasnt good enough that my stove and AC and heat didnt work. And that those things and as well as the water damage could be fixed. (Still waiting) its caused me nothing BUT headaches. I should have listened to all the other residents in the beginning when I overheard them complaining. I call this a lesson learned.

NO! Just NO! This is the worst place to live. First of all, note that you are going to rent an apartment from the 80s, everything is OLD. My particular case was that I had to start here without microwave oven, since the one in my apartment didnt work, they replaced it after 4 months of waiting. Second the air conditioner, although it was working, it was always ON no matter if was cold or hot. WHY? because the apartment was so old and had soooo many air leaks everywhere, that it was impossible to get the desired temperature, thats why, for only my wife and I, we had bills up to 180+ every month, and we worked from 8 to 6pm so we didnt spend so many time at the apartment.Really make yourselves a favor and dont rent here, 860 dollars for an apartment that old and with this bad conditions? I am now living in another complex of new apartments in Ladson, paying 800 a month and everything is really good. DONT lose your money, as they will not give you a refund for your deposit no matter what.And BELIEVE every bad review, the roaches are EVERYWHERE!!

Absolutely horrible. Im not even sure where to start. The actual apartments you move into are far more run down than the ones they show you. This place is also overpriced and there is nothing included. Management is always trying to scam you out of money. Our apartment had fleas and roaches when we moved in and we were ignored when we complained. We had to rid everything ourselves. The apartment was extremely dirty. It didnt look like anyone bothered to clean it before we moved in. The only thing that looked like it had any work was the carpet which had been steamed but there are stains everywhere from previous renters. Maintenance takes forever to finish things if they ever do. The girls in the office are terrible. It doesnt matter how many times they are replaced. Theyre rude and unhelpful. Its like they cant seem to hire good staff. Our experience here as been horrible. From overpriced apartments to horrible loud neighbors. (something that has also been ignored by the office) I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Where do you start, only residing in this community for a year. They have had 5 different property managers within the year of me living here. Guess they figured changing the name would help. Water line bust this week and yet have they come to replace my leaking bath thats been running since Wed 8/15. Luxury apartments, Lmao more like a luxury Price $$$. This place isnt recommended by me, anyone looking beware every renewal the price goes up up up..... Terrible office staff, dude that works in the has NO CLUE about rentals/Property info. I wish that I was able to meet all of you on this website before you moved into Spring House apartments. I live there years ago and when it rained we had water leaking in our living room. It was actually raining in our living room. When we moved they patched our apartment up for someone else to move in. The leak now became the new tenants problem.We complained for months about the mold, mildew, and rain that was coming into our living room. I wouldnt recommend Spring house to a dog. Please document all of your incidences and get an attorney because they play dirty.

This is the worst place I have ever lived!!!! Management is very rude and never knows what is going on, but the manager Anna is very quick to cop a nasty attitude anytime you call them.. They are always looking for ways to scam the residents out of $$$$. Maintenance never fixes anything. I caught one maintenance guy who found the solution to my mold was to paint over it, not figure out where it was coming from. They are constantly changing policies and procedures without notifying the residents. Water payments are due by the first but statements never get mailed before the 25th of each month. Cant wait to leave this hell whole.

Does not deserve one star. Ive been here a year and FINALLY They moved the storage pods blocking parking, however its still hard to find a spot over near buildings 12-13. 5 months after getting our AC fixed the maintenance guy broke our Bi-fold door and They STILL have NOT REPAIRED it! I am not about to pay $90 for something I had no reasoning to mess with. Our apartment when we moved in and got the key was absolutely horrible. Our kitchen counter is so water damaged as well as the bathroom cabinets. Our walls are pretty banged up when we moved in and we were not given a paper to record ANY damage prior to moving in. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere better.*7/1/18 UPDATE* We finally got our bifold door however i had to make a maintenance request for Major water damage above our water heater. Black mold is growing and the solution to that, plywood painted white. Guess whats leaking through the plywood now. Im not looking forward to having my baby live in the apartment. Seriously they are trying but this place would be low end living. Far from luxury that they say. Our fridge is from the 90s apparently. We had roaches living inside it at one point but we got rid of them ourselves. Our neighbors just moved out and they are updating all apliences which I understand that. However, i would much rather pay $1,109 a month fro a place that ismt actually falling apart. Honestly I would be paying $500 back in Greenville for a place this bad.

I moved into Spring House Apartments a year ago. I walked around the property and signed my lease and thought Id be getting a great place to live. I would not recommend living here for the price they have advertised. They nickle and dime you for every little thing. After about 10 months of living here they give me a little slip of paper telling me that my new rate of my rent would be 780.00 for a 690 square feet apartment after I had been paying 660 for a year. A 16% raise in rent. I tried to negotiate for a lower amount and and they went down to 759.00. On the website the apartment is listed at 759.00 now. So that tells me they do not care to retain you as a renter after the first year since the amount they wanted me to sign as a new lease was 20.00 more dollars than the market price for the apartment. Forty-five days later they call me talking about they do not want to lose me as a tenant and offer to raise my rent to only 687.00 and who knows what that amount would be after they added on rates for living on the bottom floor and some community fee or other things. I had already found a cheaper apartment than the rate I was currently paying and already scheduled movers.Secondly the place is like Joes Apartment. I understand this is the south do not get me wrong and Im from Ohio. I asked my co-workers if this was normal to see sometimes up to 2-3 big roaches a day and I was advised no especially if I have pest control. They claim to spray weekly, but Ive never seen an exterminator. My friends who are from South Carolina told me to have them spray inside. I call the girl tells me oh yes hell be there tomorrow. I waste my time because she decided not to tell anyone. I had to wait another week. I think she told him to spray in my apartment roach pheromones because they have only increased.I hate this apartment complex. I hate how they do not value tenants who pay every month on time and treat them like crap. I would not recommend my worst enemy to live here.

I moved down here from Ohio for a job and at first when i moved in everything looked great, at least from the example apartment that they showed and i was really excited- the staff at the time was very helpful and friendly. However, six months later, with a change in management, no one is willing to help, and theres actually black mold in my apartment in multiple locations that no one is willing to address. Health hazards cannot be swept under the rug, and thats exactly what this place is doing.You can get a house for roughly the same price you pay here. So not worth the stress and hassle.Edit/update:I was kind of appalled when I went into the leasing office one day and saw a man yelling at the office staff. This was, of course, before I noticed my problems, and tried to get them resolved. But now i completely understand this mans frustration. Property management/maintenance staff has completely disregarded any requests in regards to my mold issue. Instead of addressing the problem for what it is- mold, they sprayed a biocide/bleach/whatever on the face of two vents in my unit, rather than getting a professional to get the issue resolved. While this may improve the appearance of the problem to any guests that i would no longer have in my apartment, it doesnt fix the issue, and inevitably, the issue is still there, and guess what..the mold is back! They push it off as mildew from condensation from the south carolina humidity. When work orders are closed out with the note refused entry its solely to make things look better on their part. In order to get a new apartment, Id have to write in to them for a request to transfer, however, I dont see how that would help considering every other email i have sent is completely disregarded and never replied to, even after I have been told by property management to have everything requested in writing.Dont bother contacting corporate, no one will get back to you.Im currently staying in a hotel because my unit is unlivable, to put it into perspective.No one should sign a lease here. I personally dont have a lot of money- all of it goes to the rent here. But I would recommend to ANYONE, sign a lease somewhere else, pay extra for a place that is upkept, with better staff, better managment, and maintence that will address the problems for what they are. The managment at this complex will take the cheapest route to fix an issue, and still charge you ungodly amounts for rent here.The upside? The remodel of the leasing office looks nice. Absolutely, worst place I have ever lived! The staff changes every other week, the price was not worth it, and even after moving away, I had a mailing incident where a package of mine got sent to the apartments, and even with my last name, gave the package out to the current residents, and the office didnt even have the current residents correct phone number. They are disorganized and the property was overall dirty. Bad decision for a college student to live at during the time, would never recommend this apartment to anyone, unless you like bugs and disorganization.

I asked them to fix my a/c unit, 4 times They added freeon pointlessly. My electricity was just running everytime it broke, no compensation, the landlord said in 98 degree weather, that cooling is not in her contractual obligations. I had Wood rot along my entire kitchen, and they have yet to fx it. Then the upstairs neighbors water heated flooded my house twice, then my water heater started leaking, the response this time was prompt, but I am still looking at a pool in my house to the second, ruining my bed set that i had in the closet. strongly advise to look the other way. To add insult to injury they are attempting to raise my rent. And the car wash station they brag about is no more. Ive been living here for 8 months and today pushed me over the edge. Everything everyone is saying about them is true. These people make promises they dont keep, u literally have to beg for someone to fix basic maintenance issues. I have been at the complex for 3 years and calling the last two years horrible would be an understatement. First I got a great deal when I first moved in for the first month that was never honored. Then we had a rain storm my second level apartment had water/ mold damage that was almost 7 months ago I cant tell you how many times I have called I just got tired of it and stopped it still has not been fixed yet. Someone came to look at the water damage butt hats exactly Wat he did looked at it and never turned back. Then I was told that I would be getting upgraded appliances and counter tops on my second lease term, the lied, they raised my rent for it and never did anything a a point I was calling twice a week and got the run around they even gave me specific dates and no one ever showed or canceled and the Terra the property manger rite now (even though they last an average of 3 months) says that they changed contractors twice, she also said she thought I didnt want it again after I have been calling continuously for server all months its just one excuse after the other and she has to be the worst manager because she transparently just do not care. Wat really mad me upset was that I waiting for maintanance rite, someone jus moved out of my building the maintenance person is now downstairs from me everyday getting that apartment ready to be waiting when I a still waiting on them for certain things like My microwaved stop working it took 4 months for me to get a new one and I had ask the maintenance man about my microwave and he told me the got some in 3 weeks ago, so I had to irately call the office and advice them that Im waiting its stilling there wats the deal 950 a month I mean I can go on and on but u get the point bad idea

Over priced for the horible service they give, they somehow always mess up our payments and seem to lose money all the time. The only time mantinance will help, is when they get a chance to go through your stuff and leave all the lights on behind them. The staff is rude and inconciderate, and often times closes the office a little early. I can NOT wait to move out and will do so the first day I can.
