My favorite barber is Nick Freeman. I’ve been going here for a while and gotten cuts from a few people, and none of them have been bad (which is definitely worth mentioning). Nick has done an amazing job with my hair. He’s a super nice guy and he does the little things right to make sure it’s a quality hair cut that will keep looking good as it grows out. The only inconvenience is that they only take cash, but that’s my fault for being forgetful sometimes. There is an ATM right across the street though, so it’s super easy to get some cash right beforehand. Love this place.

I trusted Nick to cut my hair the day before my wedding in 2014, and he has been my lone barber ever since. University Barber has a great atmosphere and an amazing staff. They provide a close shave on the back of the neck that sets them apart from the fast-food chain style haircut factories. You can talk sports, music, home improvement or just sit their quietly. Appointments fill up fast so plan ahead!

Probably one of the best barber shops in town! Easy to schedule, competitive price, and great style. They treat the barbers very good which creates a good atmosphere.

Typically take a while to get in if you’re looking for one after work but a mid-day appointment is pretty easy to come by. They cut my 3yr olds hair and have been pretty good with him the last few times. He’s much of a fan of getting his hair cut but will sit there and play with a toy while they do their thing.

:( Have to schedule an appointment as theyre usually busy.:) They are usually busy because they do such a good job!I have never had a barber take 15-20min to cut my hair, trim the sides & back over and over till it met his satisfaction! And then they finish it w/shaving cream & an old fashioned razor for the back of my neck. Its $18 for a haircut, but its so worth the price! Also all the guys are friendly and when I was there they have beards, which makes it better knowing they will cut your hair how you want as they take pride in their beards, which reflects in their work.Will be coming here again & referring my friends as well!

Best barber shop in town hands down. Just expanded and added another awesome barber. Ive been coming here for years and it has always been the same great cut, same great people, same reasonable price. Make sure you call in ahead the time slots fill up fast!

Easily the best barber shop Ive been to and the best haircuts Ive had. You need an appointment to get in and that can be hard during peak times so call ahead. Derek takes care of my hair and I definantly recommend him.Side note about the appointment: you seriously have to have one. They dont do walk-ins even if they are empty. Its kinda pretentious, I know. But, the guys there are all relaxed and cool and do great work. Just call ahead and you will be set.

This place has a nice open layout. The staff promptly greeted me upon entering, and I didnt have to wait long to be seated. Grayson took care of me. He was friendly, listened to me, and provided fantastic service. This is now my barbershop.

Everyone that works here are some of the best barbers in all of Oklahoma. I rarely walk out of a haircut completely satisfied. But I have had my haircut by everyone here, and I always walk out completely satisfied. 10/10.

I was traveling in Norman for work. I needed a haircut. This place was excellent! Friendly barbers, great haircut and a very fair price. If Im ever in Norman again soon Ill definitely be back! I got lucky and was able to get a haircut in a walk in but an appointment is definitely recommended!

I’ve grown up in Norman and tried a few places around town, but I can definitively say the crew here is the best. I’ve been going to University Barbershop for over 11 years now and even though I moved to OKC, I will still drive down for a cut. I’ve had my hair cut by Josh, Shane, Nick, Derek and most recently, Grayson and have never left disappointed. What you get for the price is unmatched. They are awesome guys that can talk about anything and have you out the door in no time.Make sure to give Josh a hard time! He can take it.

I went two times and worst experience of my life. They give the appointment first but when you get there they start making excuses and tell you that sorry it’s a mistake, can you come later or You have to wait etc, but in actual someone their favourite took your turn already. So arrogant and absolutely have no customer service. Worst experience, highly not recommend

“University Barber Shop.” You’d think they’d have a diverse set of skills in their shop that can cover anything from a business cut to a younger and more stylish cut. That isn’t the case at all.The first time I came here, a man diced up my neck with a straight razor, and was confused when I asked for a haircut that was longer than an inch away from my scalp.The second time I came here (thinking my experience was a fluke) the lady looked at my picture and I’m honestly convinced she was blind. I showed her a picture of stylish hair that was longer on the top and shorter on the sides. Upon completion, my hair was practically buzzed off and I wasn’t left extremely upset.Not once did she ask my opinion before she made a cut that changed the entire hair style. If you want a business cut or a military cut, this is your place. Anything else, and I urge you to steer clear.

This is my exclusive place for haircuts in Norman. Shane does an amazing job for me and my boys. They can be hard to get into on a moments notice, so you will need an appointment, but in the case of this place it is worth planning ahead.

Fantastic OU spirit atmosphere, friendly staff, talkative if you want them to be, otherwise if youre more of a silent type like me I never felt pressured into talking. The haircuts are better quality than the low price they offer. After my barbor left at my previous barbershop I tried a few places, and I can confidently say its the best mens haircut you can find in Norman.
