These ladies treat you like family and really enjoy their craft. I highly encourage anyone to go in for a straight razor shave. It’s well worth the time and the price you pay. Wow!

This is the best barber shop hands down!! Shelley nails my hair everytime!!! Plus everyone in the shop makes you feel like family!! My first time in the shop I was just getting some beard oil for stocking stuffers...these women recognized me a year later when I walked in to get a cut. I had hair to my waist the first time they saw me and a shaved head the next and they still remembered me. Nowhere can you get personal service like that!!! Love love love this place.

First time visiting the shop today, needed a cut and beard trim quickly for an interview for a promotion. They were open, rated well and I took a shot. This will be the only place I get my hair cut and beard trim from now on. The two ladies working were hilarious and made great convo and had confidence in their craft. This kind of shop, it’s charm, simplicity and high quality workmanship make show the rest of the flashy shops in town exactly what’s missing from this kind of business. I’mPicky about my beard, and they nailed it. My haircut is extremely simple but you’d be surprised how many stylist actually screw up something that basic. And this place nailed it. It’s just an easy shop to walk into and do business with and who doesn’t want a little bit more “easy” today? Give them a shot, don’t let covid shut this long time Norman treasure down, go see what they can do for your hair you won’t regret it.

All I can say is that if you want a good haircut by an established barber with good tools and operates at a high level of professionalism then stop here. They are reasonably priced and the skill level of all employees is second to no one. I don’t think they hire anyone that is sub par. I highly recommend them to anyone that reads this review. You may have to wait a minute for an open chair but the idle conversations between the staff and patrons is almost worth the price of the haircut.

Had a small wait but that was expected since it is a small local shop. The employees are all extremely friendly and it felt like I had been going there for forever. Martha has done a good job since taking over for Bill.

Went in here to get a quick trim. Donna whose worked there for Decades from what I understand gave me the best cut Ive had in years. They are certainly a pillar where norman businesses are concerned having been open and under the same ownership for half a century. A good friend told me in the 1960s Bill himself cut his hair as a boy.! I like to support family owned businesses and I will probably never let anyone else cut my hair.! Five Stars guys!!

Wonderful old time atmosphere, my daughter got a mohawk and absolutely loved it. Anybody wanting a specific haircut or military style highly recommend this shop. The owner is absolutely fabulous.

This place has been a pillar in Norman history for close to half a century. I literally work with a man who had his hair cut by the original Patriarch Bill himself in the 1960s.! They must be doing something right.! I personally recommend Donna who has always made time for me when I need a trim..

I have been getting my haircut here for the past 45+ years. Sadly we lost Bill a few years ago but his family is still operating one if the few old fashioned barber shops around. My only minor complaint is the accept cash and checks only.

If youre looking for a place to get your haircut, man or woman, this is the best place in Norman. All the ladies are extremely good and what they do. They will cut your hair exactly like you asked, so be careful what you ask for. They are all qualified barbers but they do ladies as well. My wife had been to another place to get her haircut and it was a mess. Martha straightened out her haircut as best as was possible. It actually looked quite respectable ones Martha was through with it.

Heed the reviews. Best service I have had. A family owned shop in which you get personalized service that is not rushed, regardless how busy it is. Attention to detail was superb. Price was reasonable especially relative to quality of service. They do only walk ins so they encourage you to call ahead to get a sense of wait time.

Have tried a few different barber shops over the years. I usually just walk in and tell them to make me look good. This is the first time one of them took the time to explain the cut and why they where doing it that way. A great family owned and operated shop. All of the ladies cutting hair today were related to the owner Bill, who was there cutting hair as well. Theres a reason theyve been in business since 1965- theyre damn good. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Very good people. i got my best haircut ever from this place; and it was from the man the place was named after. sadly, he passed away not too long ago. his daughter is a family friend of mine, and he will be missed by everyone. very good at what he did. this is a must-go-to place. THEY ARE DAMN GOOD. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The straight razor shaves and wonderful barbers here are superb! Nothing better than a hot towel wrapped over a fresh cut and shave. If you have the need for a trim, this is the place!

I went in this morning to get a cut and shave, and I left very pleased. The family owned and operated shop has a very friendly hometown feel that is hard to find these days. A haircut here does not cost much more than a chain shop and the quality is incomparable. If you go, dont leave without getting a shave. The quality of the service coupled with the friendly and interesting barbers made for a great experience.

Pro: they really do a great job of cutting hair.Con: you had better have planned on spending an hour there--it is a real slow process when you include the stops to chat. Cash only.

I was looking for a new barbershop. I live in Noble. The barbershop had a 4.5 rating. I called University Barbershop and was told they only take appointments. I called Bills barbershop and they only take walk ins. They got me right in and I got a great haircut. I recommend this barbershop to everyone!!

These barbers all seem to be good at their job. The shop only acomadate 4 barber chairs, 3 chairs had barbers when I was there.

Out here in Norman for Postal School. Needed a haircut badly, since I wasnt able to get one before I left home. Called about 10 on Saturday morning, they said they were open until 3pm and there was no wait (walk-in only, no appointments). Got there, got right into a chair. Great haircut, very prompt and professional, barber was very congenial also. This is a real Barber Shop, complete with warm lather neck shave, the way it should be! I will definitely go there again when in town.

Been coming for years, the amount of care that these people put into their work is astonishing! Best Barbershop in Norman hands down!

Husbands haircut was disappointing. She didnt get even remotely close to the requested end result. Boxed and lined up a chin strap when i asked her to fade my face. The overall haircut has no rhyme or reason... also boxed up. But the ultimately disappointing moment of it all, she charged me $35. I could respect getting a haircut like this if you charged me twelve dollars, but 35, unsat. Also, its not sanitary to use the same facial razor on bulk customers... that part made me cringe.

Stopped by for a walk-in cut recently at Bills Barber Shop (note: no Bill works here anymore)...Im used to your traditional old school Barber Shops..been going to them all my life..45+ years..thought Id give this place a shot since Im new to the Norman area.Problem #1- This is not a barber shop... Its a 3 middle aged women Salon cutting mens hair trying to hold awkward conversation for 30-45mins. There are more hairspray bottles than combs & the barber chair is Super-Cuts esque at best...offense #1-2Problem #2- Not only could the woman cutting my hair not figure my hair out, she blasted me with some cheesy sales pitch for some in-house hair cream they sell the entire time she was vacuum-cutting my hair...Problem #3: After sitting in the chair for a good 45 minutes, my barber surrendered and finally shampood my hair in some weird back office room and then continued cutting...again.. (At this point I was just praying there would be enough hair left on my head to put any product into..)Problem #4: I got hit for $28 bucks for a clipper cut + involuntary wash... Worst part is its gonna cost me another $20 to get it fixed.Signed,I wanted Bill the Barber to cut my hair

It was the weirdest haircut experience. They cut my hair while my back was looking at the mirror. I was like I dont have eyes on my back. When they finish they showed the haircut with a hand mirror instead of rotating my chair to the main mirror. It was a terrible cut.
