The guy doing my nails was nice, but the lady who was watching videos on YouTube LOUDLY as you walk in was rude and unprofessional. Very old and crusty nail polish choices. I opened up a bottle to see the color and she immediately barked at me telling me I couldn’t do that. Got a full set with tips and it was just okay. $30 for a basic set and $5 extra for the tip applied. They don’t trim cuticles, give you lotion, nothing. That’s an extra charge. I went to wash my hands after my service and the lady told me I couldn’t do that then said “is this your first time getting your nails done?”. No? Excuse me? Definitely will not be returning. They would benefit from some manners and updating old nail polishes and chairs. Also noticed old wash rags left out from the previous day which makes me question the cleanliness and sterilization of this establishment.

Disappointed in this OV experience. The overall experience can be described as underperformance, lack of professionalism, and non-transparent with pricing. Staff was very direct in their requests, never offered to help set up massage chair, and charged an additional $15.00 to remove basic (non-gel) nail color prior to applying a new color. This charge was not mentioned until time of payment. I had already provided a nice tip before I realized that there was such an overcharge. They figured out our phone numbers and called us. The guy on the phone was indignant and was raising his voice. He stated the woman didnt charge her for polish removal, it was for a callus removal. At no point, did a $15 callus removal discussion occur during our visit. Further, I asked him where the $15 charge for callus removal is on their menu of prices and he stated it is not on there. We will never go back. Such a disappointing experience. My friend and I are professionals in the community and this experience did not bode well with us. The follow-up call was a form of harassment and not an attempt to address our concerns in a professional and kind manner. Adding fuel to the fire does not promote a positive experience or follow-up review. Proceed with caution.

First time here wife came in to get stuff done. Staff is very friendly store was very clean. Lady did a very good job wife was very pleased keep up the good work but definitely recommend this to other people and its conveniently could located parking can be an issue but theres a big parking lot across the street 4 thumbs up five stars will see you again soon

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The woman that greeted us was very rude barking instructions such as “sit over there”. The pricing is inconsistent. I was charged and extra $15 to remove my old polish. Mind you, it was not gel polish, just regular nail polish easily removed with acetone. It took her less than 5 minutes. Also, it was not disclosed on the pricing board. Pedicure, which has always included a polish removal was supposed to be $30. I was charged $45. Guess what! You just lost your tip!. This woman has replied to the review saying I had “thick skin” and that is what I was charged for. First of all, she said the charge was for polish removal. Maybe her English isn’t great but I’m pretty sure she knows what the meaning of this is since she is in this business. Second of all, if she was going to charge me for using a cheese grater on my heel, she should have asked me is it ok to charge an extra $15 to put that cheese grater on my foot! She has bad business practices and she is a liar! Avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of nail salons that RESPECT the customer and appreciate the business.

Over priced for such poor quality nails and horrible customer service. A few days after I got my nails done which I paid 85.00 for short acrylics one of my nails came off with out any force or pressure. Last night I could see another one of my nails cracking because the LADY did not use enough acrylic the nails are thin which is why they are breaking. Then she stated she been doing nails for along time yelling instead of listening. If you wanna pay for overpriced for cheap poor quality work then be my guess. Very unfriendly/hostile staff. Even charged for the toe separators (not cool). Mainly the staff behavior was inappropriate, treated differently because they felt they wouldn’t be paid, which they were. Do not go here if you want to treated like an actual person.

Went in Friday afternoon paid $100 for Shellac mani/pedi including $15 hot stone massage. By next Wednesday they nails were coming off. It took under 30 minutes for both services and color didn’t last a week. Place was empty too so not need to rush. Do not recommend.

I am a regular at this nail salon and won’t go anywhere else. Lisa does a great job on my nails every time and she’s pretty quick too. Throughout my time going here, she’s returned her loyalty to me as much as I’ve been a loyal customer. Nail and spa always fits me in last minute as I’m super busy most times. It’s a great environment and clean as well. Lisa is adamant on sanitation and has done a great job during this pandemic. Some people are saying the prices are high, but you get what you pay for. I definitely recommend coming here!

I called this place and asked How much a full set of gel nails were and the woman responded $45. I took my 17 year old daughter here to get her nails done for school. After she had picked out a color and called to the chair I told her to call me when they were painting and Id come back to pick her up. As soon as I arrived home she text stating they were charging $68 so she settled for acrylic and paid $52. When I returned and inquired about the price change the woman pointed to the sign saying its $45 and up and showed me the nail model saying thats for short nails and my daughter got long nails.... I reminded her that she hadnt said that on the phone and I could have taken her elsewhere and she could have gotten gel nails for the acrylic price and the man said you will pay less but wont get the quality Her nails look okay but not superior to any other nail job shes gotten in the past. My lesson...read all signs and dont depend on phone quotes... Id never return here or recommend this place. Its overpriced for average work.

1st time going to this salon. It was way over priced. Especially for the location. I was charged $125 for a mani with gel; pedi with gel; eyebrows; upper lip wax. I will continue to go to Anthony Vince in Chesapeake where I live. The only reasons I went to this salon is because it is close to my daughters home. The manicure was not worth $52! The pedi was not worth $50. There was nothing extra or special about it. The most annoying part was the gel colors. They were all from Pre-Covid! There were no yellows, no orange no Spring/Summer colors to chose from. Please lower your prices and invest in New colors as well as some new techniques.

She overpriced me took 3 min to do it, I had to come home to take our hairs of my eyebrows myself I also got a manicure and pedicure and my there is uneven spots of color. My friend got charged less than me and got acrylic nails done, I had gel. I understand Covid time is difficult for businesses but over pricing an individual is not it. Would never come again.

I just moved close by and needed a pedicure and I decided to try them out. I entered and in 15 mins I was out. They did not use the instrument that helps take off the dead skin on your heels. For all that, I should have saved my $45 dollars. YES. $45 for a regular pedicure with gel white polish. I will NEVER RETURN! I will be going to the @nailgoat on IG from now on!

My favorite nail spot and its very close to NOB.My nails are always flawless. I get so many complaints on my nails DAILY. They have a variety of colors from basic color to extravagant colors such as mood colors and cat eye. Hal is wonderful. He is the sweetest. My favorite nail spa in the Hampton roads area. I love them.

I have never had acrylics done so beautifully!!! I am in love! The price is reasonable for the quality and care they put in too! I walked in at 6:45 on a Thursday and they were kind enough to allow me to get a full set, pedicure and eyelash extensions! I will definitely be back.

Eyebrow waxing is $8 and I was charged $30 for 2 people. Makes zero sense to me! Literally less than 5 minutes for her to wax BOTH of our eyebrows and I was charged double! Definitely dont recommend going here for waxing!

I got long acrylics coffin shape. It was $75. I only got regular polish. I also got a pedicure. It was $25. I was pleased with the pedicure. I went with 2 friends. We kept saying acrylics with a pedicure. It was over priced. My nails started to hurt really bad a few hours later. Not worth it. Go across the street.

They are one of the few places that will not honor expired GC, especially since Covid. Very unprofessional during this time.

My wife went here to get a full set taken off and clear polish put on because she is having a major surgery very soon.Her nails were demolished and she was still overcharged for it. This cost her $42 dollars, to literally have her nails ripped off (instead of soaking them) and a clear polish put on.

Overpriced and poor work

This is my new nail salon as of late. There is a young man there who fixed the shape of my coffin nails i had done in another shop and he is the best!!! Hes done two of fills since then. Hes fast, polite and very accurate. The owner lady is always nice and speaks. I cant wait to get my feet done there as well. The price for a gel fill is 30 which is a bit expensive but I dont complain cause the young man does a very good job and i always get compliments on my nails. My new favorite place!

Have gone to this nail salon twice now and both times the older woman at the front desk is extremely rude to us saying what do you want and yelling at us to sit in specific chairs. Would not recommend, only went here the second time out of convenience and will not be here again.

The eyebrow lady is super rude, she turned off the light while I was still in there. Asked her if should could line up my eyebrows better and said they are good and that shes been doing this for 5 years. which doesnt matter, I didnt like it. From the second I walked in, she kept on reiterating it was 10 dollars for eyebrows. Felt like they were racist so stay away if youre black

Absolutely the worst customer service and unprofessional! Nothing spa like about this place.I went for a simple color change that was supposed to cost $20.00. They tried to charge for EVERYTHING which would have made my total at least $10 more. The owner kept insisting on putting glue on a cracked nail but I wanted it filed down. (That speck of superglue never holds a nail down) She said there would be a charge for the one nail to be filed. I asked to file it myself. Thats when the old man with the raggedy teeth started loud talking and telling me I couldnt file my nail in the shop. So I said I would pay for the color change up front and then go to my car and file my own nail. He continued loud talking me and saying if someone else came in while I was outside the door (my car was parked in front of their door) filing my nail that he wpuld make me wait if i came back in. I came back in within a minute. Then the woman finished polishing my nails but only put 1 coat on them. She told me because I was on the phone I didnt see her put the second coat on. I watched her and know that she only put one coat on. My nails are still white at the tip and I have red polish.When she finished she said nothing, she got up and called the next person.She even told me I was lucky that she was doing my nails.I didnt argue or loud talk them, I simply walked out and will never return. I am warning you that they are the worst. Go to LA nails across street in the farm fresh plaza(149 w ocean view ask for Tim of you go on Friday) LA Nails were professional, courteous even provided a water for patrons.There is nothing spa like about this nails spa business. They dont even have water for patrons. Oh yeah, while I went outside to file my nail the old man threw my water away!Nails spa is ABSOLUTELY the worst place for nails in the ocean view area!

It is a clean place. They did a fantastic job on my gel polish and a magnificent job on my feet. I’m very satisfied with my whole experience. They took me right away and the staff is very friendly so definitely 5 stars!

The main lady who does eyebrows is SO RUDE! I asked about a wait time (in a polite manner and didnt even care about the wait. It was mid afternoon on a Friday) and once she got me in the back, she asked me why I dont get my eyebrows done at the same place I get my nails done! That was months ago. I havent been back since, until today at which time she increased the price of the eyebrows to $10 for cash. (I know for a fact its only $10 when I dont have my card. ALWAYS $8 with cash) When I politely asked her about the price difference she stated, If you dont want to do it, thats ok. She never wanted to do it anyway. Plus she lacks common manners such as how are you? And thank you.I walked right out. I REALLY want my brows done, but I CANT endorse someone with those manners.

Normally I dont go here, only on occasion when the nail salon I usually go to is busy. Ive been three or four times and they did great.However my last visit I had to take a full set off because Im having a major surgery and I cant have any color polish.First, she ripped my nails off instead of soaking them because soaking makes them thinner. She split my pinky nail in half, its hideous and bleeding now.THEN she charged me 42 dollars for a clear coat of get polish. After destroying my nail beds by ripping off what I already had. Bogus. I wouldn’t recommend this nail salon, she did my nails in 10 mins, I could tell she didn’t really care and 2 of my nails was messed up and she kept trying to make excuses of to why my nail was leaning to the left ... I ask her to fix it and she made it worst. The second nail that was messed up, was filed to thin and the nail was bumpy (more like a wave) 🌊. The man that painted my nails had left red nail polish on a grey nail that wasn’t suppose to be there. I asked the man to fix it he took clear nail polish and acted as if he was removing the red but didn’t do it... they was being lazy and she charge me a unreasonable price for short nails that wasn’t even jelly nails. She got over, but befor she did that she asked if I was from VA and I said no, so she charged me more cause she thought that was my first time gettin my nails done, even after I asked her how much do they charge multiple times.NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE

My husband and I were just looking for a place to do walk-in pedicures and they were amazing. The woman got all the calluses off my husbands feet and made his feet look normal again. And the young man did marvelously with not tickling when he scrubbed my feet, and my pedi looks fantastic! An added bonus is the location is amazing, being literally across the street from the Norfolk beach.

They were so sweet and willing to help me get exactly what I wanted :) Im a chronic nail biter and was looking to stop so I asked what they recommended and they helped me decide to get a full set which was very inexpensive but good quality! I will be coming again once I need an infill 👍 I also had my eyelashes done and have has complements every day since then!! I waited 3 days to post this review to make sure how I felt about he quality of their work and Im so glad I came here!!

I went in for a refill on minx lashes, which they showed me. Instead technician pulled off (tried to use Vaseline, but wasnt the right stuff to use on lashes) my minx extensions and the real lashes the were attached to and put some individual clumps on my lash line. Resulted in an unnatural look and not at all what I went in for. Unpleasant experience.

GO ACROSS THE STREET TO L.A. NAILS. Manager is racist. She treats others differently from Caucasians. DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE VERY RUDE.

I love this place 😘😍! Nail Dpa was the first place I visited when I moved to VA and I have been going since. I literally come every other Thursday and get the deluxe. The Tran family makes you feel welcomed. The prices are great and the quality of service is even better 👍 They take their time and actually let you relax no matter how busy the shop gets. 💆💅🏾

I got the honey spa pedicure. The massaging chairs are nice. The people are professional and nice. I love the foot and leg massage that comes with the spa pedi, as well as the hot towels around my feet. I also got an eyebrow, lip, and chin wax that was good.

I have been a faithful bi-weekly customer since 2014, and highly recommend this salon for manicures, pedicures and waxing. They make every effort to ensure all patrons receive optimal customer service.

Super disappointed by the service I received. My toes were done well and I really liked those, but my acrylics were done horribly. The man who did them left my cuticles a mess and they look grown out already. He didnt use a top or bottom coat when doing my nails either. They dont even have that great of a color selection. Miranda is awesome and the only good employee. Ask for her if you need your toes or nails done

Don’t even waste your time. I was charged 10 dollars to repair one nail. Today is Tuesday. I had just gotten my nails done the previous Friday and the polish was already chipped and the nail had already cracked. I don’t get how my set was 50 but to fix one nail was 10. I would’ve fought the price harder but I’m on my lunch and you never know what gate traffic will be like. I just know I’ll stick to my usual spot.

Horrible! Paid $50 bucks for a Spa pedicure, I have regular pedicures that have been far superior. FYI, if you get a spa pedicure here you will be in and our in about 30 minutes, no massage, the guy didnt even push back my cuticals. There is another salon in the parking lot across the street that I usually go but thought I would try something different, rip off!!!! The other salon is cheaper and far superior.

Zero stars!! The young boy they have doing nails CANNOT DO NAILS!!!!!. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I went in today to have my thumb nail extension reapplied. When I asked “Lisa” the manager to smooth out the side, she says, “ I’ve been doing for a long time and you don’t need to worry”. First of all I was polite about asking which I see nothing wrong with doing so considering they’re my nails so I will worried about it. Secondly, she continued to argue that she knows what she’s doing, implied that I go somewhere else until finally I told her that I’m not arguing with her and if she has a problem with a customer asking for quality service then she shouldn’t be in the business of making people happy. She did not even out the side, my nail is too thick and has a noticeable dent on the top.. therefore, I beg to differ on her knowing what she’s doing! She was totally unprofessional and very rude! Needless to say, there are many other nail salons around that I don’t mind going to for quality service and some common respect.

60$ for a full set gel, which is kind of expensive if you ask me. BUT it did last forever. And never chipped or cracked. So I’m likely to return. Very nice people too.

This place is way too overpriced and they are very rude. I went in for a pedicure and full set. They did my full set first and I needed a specific color for a wedding I was going to, lady tried to give me pink or purple and I needed a nude she said trust me i said no like not blind. She rushed me and said hurry up to pick a color. She ended up not painting my nails. They the man doing my pedicure rushed the job and hardly did anything i told him to scrub more he didnt and said I cant wait for you to pick a color I have other customers but Im paying thats rude. They charge me $70 for a pedicure and full set neither had an polish she said my nails cost $45 because i got round nails whatttt never again stay away from this shop.

Dont go here! I had a horrible first experience. if I could give them no stars I would. They tried to charge me the full price for doing half the job. & then when I asked the lady to do my nails correctly she starts yelling at me as if I was asking to much.... but seemingly took my $65 before hand... that wasnt too much 😶. My initiative was to relax after a long day of work. The biggest mistake I made to do so was visiting this place! I left this place feeling very sad & dissapointed 😥. I dont recommend this place anyone... not if you want to relax & enjoy good customer service. When the lady called herself being done.... my nails looked 2 weeks old, & she was getting ready to just slap a jel nail coating on top of it. I have pictures. Horrible. Ive never been yelled at for requesting proper service that I already paid for 💁. It doesnt end there.... then the lady starts yelling in her language & even talking about me to customers🙅🙆🙆🙆 . Ive been here a few times to have my nails done and theyve been descent..but the new white girl they have doing pedicures .. by far the worst pedicure Ive ever received. Little does she know I am a licensed cosmetologist. Brought my friend with me who came from out of state to visit me to relax a little who I went to cosmetology school with.. she is also licensed herself. Embarrassing.Its like she was afraid to touch me. Even the scrub she used maybe lasted 3 seconds each foot so what was the point? Poor job filing the nails and the bottom of my feet which is basically why I pay to have this type of service done vs do it myself. Hello! Get in there. Do your job for Christ sakes.Anyway, I wont be coming back at the risk of getting her again which is too bad because the younger man who has given me a pedicure before did a great job.He actually started another lady at the same time as I was started - same pedicure service from the menu..and my toes were polished and drying already while he was still giving the foot massage. Im furious that I even have to pay for this crap job. Lesson learned. Dont come here, and if you do.. waiting for the young man will be worth your while.This is the first review Ive ever written for anything and its unfortunate it had to be so negative. I tipped her a dollar anyway only because Ive worked in the industry but I really shouldnt have given her a dime.Oh and replace your files and buffers too. They dont even have any grit left. Loved the serviced I received but was over charged.. the lady told me its 98 but Ill charge u 95.. I didnt tip because I already felt as if they made enough money off a full set and pedi (never have I ever paid that much for this service).. then I checked my bank account and they charged me 105.00.. which means after I put 0.00 as a tip (even with a line in front of it) they found a way to squeeze a 1 in front of it.. smh.. although my nails are cute.. I wont be back

So busy carrying on conversation with coworkers in their language no doubt talking about Customer( why else would you need to talk in code) until a sloppy job was done on what was suppose to be gel nails.Stated one price initially then while doing sloppy job increased price all the while trying to convince me that she was not trying to overcharge me when that was exactly what she was doing . This review wouldve been 5 stars based on my first visit, but todays experience was 1 star all the way (so thats a 2.5 to me). Three weeks ago I visited before going to a photo shoot. I got a lavender mani & pedi with my eyebrows done. Lisa & her tech were both very friendly and professional! Today I stop by after working out to get my eyebrows done bc Im pressed for time- otherwise I wouldve gotten the mani/pedi too. Lisa was very short, didnt greet me. Her work on my eyebrows dont look as great as her first time either. (It wasnt busy at this time either, but one lady behind me was waiting for a wax.) To add insult to injury- SHE WROTE MY LICENSE NUMBER ON MY DEBIT CARD PURCHASE OF $10. She didnt do this the first visit- in fact she never IDd me the first time at all! And I tipped her 😤 This was not the same treatment I experienced when I spent $80 the visit before. Maybe she was having a rough day, maybe Lisa didnt care bc I was doing eyebrows only, or maybe she has been burnt by other clients reversing charges- IDK & IDC. Treat people right at all times unless they give you a reason not too. I doubt I will be returning there anytime soon. It sucks bc I planned on going back tomorrow for the mani/pedi when I had less to do.

A little pricey but overall a great place.
