I went back there after a year yesterday because I remember being super impressed with my nails and I was not disappointed yesterday either! My nails came out soooo pretty! he was so sweet and made sure I loved my nails. He took his time and focused on the little details too, to make sure they were perfect! Also had my eyebrows done and she was so sweet and they turned out great. I personally really love this place and think I will start choosing it as my main option from now on!

I called shortly after they opened to make an appointment, and they could pencil me in almost right away! I liked the option of that, but I was kind of skeptical because of that. I got there, and I told them my name and that I had an appointment. They had the wrong service down, but it was no problem because they fixed it right away and took care of me! My nails beforehand were not the best in my opinion, I filed them down myself because I didn’t like how my nails looked from my previous experience at a different salon. Le was the one who completed my nails, and she did a fabulous job! Especially with working with a previous shape and my filed down mess she needed to fix. The only thing I wish that would’ve been done differently is the fact that they didn’t cut down my cuticles at all... I’m not sure if maybe with covid and everything going on if that’s something that needs to be requested or not, but I’ve never had to ask to get that done at other salons. But other salons hadn’t cut them down either before. Other than that, I have no complaints! Living in a military town can be hard to find quality sometimes, but I will definitely be back!

Was a walk in today with botched DIY nails that I spent all day trying to get off and just could not. I was sat down immediately and 10 minutes later they were off. Showed a picture of what I want and they did that and SOOOO much better. Very nice, quick, worth the price. Will be returning for everything nail related.Wish I wouldve caught her name to give credit, but heres the finished product 💗

Came with nails that needed a fill badly and 2 nails lifting. had to redo my left ring finged.at first I didnt know who I sat done with. but later found out it was Anna and Im sure glad I came when I did. cause I know now all she does is appt. so im coming back for my pedi tom cause i didnt want to keep her after closing for my pedi tonight.she did a wonderful job! wish i could upload a video5D nail #2

I was seen an hour after my appointment was scheduled. They overbooked and did not plan accordingly for the services booked. Other people who walked in after me with the same appointment time were seen before me. This may have been due to the skills of the technicians that were available, but as I stated they did not plan appropriately.Although I was not pleased with waiting and the excuses, Anna did an excellent job.

Ms. Lee took her time. She did a very good job will be going back.

Great little nail place awsome staff and prices

Nice people, but I made an appointment through their website and was told that they dont do online appointments. When I showed them their own website where you can book appointments online, they told me it would be a 3 day wait for an appointment. If you dont do online appointments, then dont put a booking took on your website so that you dont unneccesarily waste peoples time.

I have been searching high and low for a nail place that made me 100% happy when I left and this is the place. He took so much time to make sure that my nails were perfect and the price was unbeatable! Im so happy with this gem of a nail salon and I wont go anywhere else!

Had an eyelash extension disaster from a Nail Salon that shall remain nameless as to not give them their 15 min. of fame. It took her a min. to remove the caked on glue. After that, it was smooth sailing. She turned a hellish first time experience around for me and has gained a faithful customer!

I visited here about a week ago. I got my nails done, and returned to get my feet done because they did well. What i love most is that they did not rub my nails, but the acrylic. I would recommend them. Flawless nails! The guy who sits at #4 did my nails.(They are growing out, but still looks good).Oh, customer service sucks though😶.

First time here yesterday and let me say I am beyond impressed. I’m am not sure of the mans name who did my nails, his booth is right by the door but he did an amazing job. He took his time and made sure I was completely happy when I left. I also love that they have so many colors to choose from. The wall from the front of the salon to the back is full with polish. I should never get tired of picking a color here. Thank you so much!!!!

I have used this nail salon for 4 years now, after trying others I always go back to them! They are perfectionists with their nails and make sure you walk out happy! They only do walk-ins but I have never waited more than an hour, when they have rush they call for help since is a family owned salon! I went to get pedicures every couple of weeks during my pregnancy and they were extremely kind making sure I was comfortable! Now I have taken my baby girl 3 times and they are super accomodating and understanding when I have to take of my baby in middle of my manicure, they switch me to my pedicure while I breastfeed my baby! I will never change nail salon while I live here!

I don’t know how this place gets so many stars. They do not know how to a pedicure, they go superficially even though I told the lady to clean deep. Then she grabs a call and disappears for a few mins leaving my left foot undone and comes back to not finish it until I told her she hadn’t finished that foot. Never coming back here again!

I usually go here and they do a really good job, there’s no doubt in that and they’re practicing great COVID prevention BUT this visit in particular really rubbed me the wrong way. I came in asking for a full set knowing it would take a little time but I was told it would take an hour atleast or more so I suggested another style without gel ( I was on a time crunch) but after I was told again it would take an hour ( keep in mind I wasn’t being needy or unable to make my mind I was compromising because I wasn’t going to put them in a bad situation like that) I said never mind may I just have my eyebrows waxed. During this 10 minute visit the nail techs were giggling and kept mentioning the style I wanted but in a different language. I never bother using google translator because I never assume the worst out of people but the vibe I was given was definitely not like my normal visits.

That massage chair had me sold..... and the Workers actually massaged your hands during the mail care.....a long day at work, get your nails done, expect a nice rub un the hands and foot.😊

A few of my girlfriends and I went to get our nails and toes done. It was nice. The place appears small but it extends in the back. The workers were polite and friendly. We all loved our nails. I had got my eyebrows done. The only problem I had was one of my eyebrows are thin at the end. Normally people work around it and leave so I still have a normal eyebrow. She waxed it off so I look like I have half an eyebrow lol. As far as shaping it goes she did a good job.

My nails came out exactly how I wanted them, she took her time and made sure every nail was straight 😌 my new favorite salon 😍

Amazing job on nails but customer service is probably a 3/5, he wasn’t super rude but kept sighing if my fingers were too flexed or if I shook too much (I have essential tremors so I can’t help if I shake!)

I should have been coming here from the beginning! My previous experience with a different nail place almost made me cry (first world problems w.e) but when I came here I had the older man (I think he was one of the owners) and OMG..... the amount of effort he gave my nails I could tell he GENUINELY cared about how they looked at the end. 5 star for service! The only thing I would say is they reuse foot scrubs (which I used to do too long before the pandemic) I would just request a new one if you get a pedi that’s all. Other than that everything was sanitized! I wish I could have given a bigger tip, but I am just so so so so SO happy with how my nails turned out!!! I will always come back!!!!!!

I went to this place they were not professional. They did not give me the treatment I deserve because of my skin color . I made a complaint to the state . Please don’t go and spend your money where you as a person of color are not welcomed .

Anna did an amazing job on my nails. I have been to several different nail salons and Anna is definitely going to be my go to person from now on. Not only does she take her time but also ask if you like what shes done through the process! If your looking for a new nail tech I would definitely give her a try.

We went mid morning as a walk in. Only 3 techs and 2 other people waiting. We decided to go to another nail salon instead. One where we didn’t have to wait so long. I would recommend making an appointment ahead of time.

My best friend took me to this shop a month ago to have my nails done for the first time. I was made to feel comfortable right away. The gentleman who did my nails was very entertaining and I was almost sorry that the time passed so quickly. In the past month, I have been on trains, planes and working almost every day since then, but my nails NEVER chipped at all! I decided to get them done again. The young man I had today was quiet, but kind and efficient! MK Nails can count on me being a regular customer from now on!

The best in the area. The males are the best. Jack is the best tech by far. Yes there are long waits, but this is contributed to the fact that the take their time when providing service. Ann is best in the area with eyebrow arching. Best time to go is Wednesday. Saturdays their CrA busy!!!!

Me and my husband have recently moved to the area and I have been looking for a good nail salon to go to. So today I decide to look for one and I reviewed many and couldn’t pick one so I decide to go with MK nails and spa not knowing what I was going to get but They did a great job and was very nice. The guy who did my nails did amazing job and I want to say thank u to him for doing a great job. I will be going back. I would do 5 stars but I’ll have to see what they look like in a few days and then I may be changing my view later on.

Taking 2 stars away for the 2 HOURS it took to just get a fill! I didnt even have to wait, I immediately got helped but this was the longest fill-in I ever had. Yes, she paid very close attention to detail but when there were about 8 other people waiting right behind me (since it is a very small place) it started making me feel uncomfortable….the nail tech even messed up one of my chrome nails and wiped it off to start over and I almost just said its okay dont worry about it just so I could leave. Honestly they all took awhile since the same customers were there about the same time I was. I didnt plan on being there until dark especially when Im not familiar with this sketchy area. This salon was recommended but I dont think I will be making a special trip back.

I’m new to the area & was in desperate need of finding a new nail shop. I was immediately greeted with a warm smile & a “hello” soon as I stepped in. The lady that did my nails took her time & had friendly conversation with me, getting to know me. I will be returning as a regular customer. It’s so nice & clean inside as well.

After reading great reviews, I decided to take a chance on this place. And Im so glad I did. My nail tech was Jack. And he did an amazing job on my nails. I will definitely be coming here from now on. You cant beat the prices for their services either. A+

NEVER GOING BACK Kay(who sits in the FIRST CHAIR) IS RUDE!!!!.(((((((AND NAIL POLISH IS CHIPPING 2ND WEEK ALREADY)(((((((ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS RELAX AND ENJOY MY DAY OFF BY GETTING MY NAILS DONE!!!!!Came in at 5pm sat very patiently and waited. Finally got K to do my nails at 8pm.(YEP 3HOURS WHEN I SHOULD HAVE BEEN LEFT) I specifically told him as well as wrote it on the paper when I signed in that I wanted an overlay he proceeded to try to just give me a manicure. When I told him I wanted the overlay he decides to get an attitude and starts to brush my hands very hard and started to become VERY ROUGH WITH MY NAILS . I really liked how he did my nails in the past but I will go somewhere else where my time and money will be appreciated and where someone can CLEARY UNDERSTAND ENGLISH!

Normally I love this place, Ive gone quite a few times over the last few years. But, the last couple of months the wait times have been ridiculous and when I attempt to go at their opening time or shortly after they open no-one is there. Its not very good for business if you cant open on time.

My first time visiting this salon, I did not receive service, I decided to take my business else where . I brought my own polish and they refused to use it because it was not gel polish. They insisted that I used gel which is a 20 dollar difference. I dont know about everyone else but I am tight on a penny, so if I cant afford gel then SO BE IT! The lady caught an attitude because I wanted to use the polish I brought. I simply said that if she cant use my polish then I will go elsewhere . .. she said okay, so I left. It amazes me how these salons get away with robbing people of their money in sight. A customer should not be treated differently because they have different preference than the norm. Some people get their nails and things done because they want to treat themselves but not drain the account doing it . Too many nail salons get away with overcharging people, than show biased behavior when someone is on a budget or simply would not like to spend a certain amount of money on one service. Gel polish in this area has gone up from 10 to 15 to 20 dollars additional to regular service fee. I will not, and I perfer to buy quality polish myself and bring it to the salon . So that at least I know the polish I use would be quality and sustain the minimum of my desire. ... anyway, dont go here spend your money where it counts . I went to Nails by Thi instead thats literally 3 min away and had this wonderful God fearing women name Luckie . Go ask for her !

Love this place! Theyre truly the best in Norfolk. The shop is clean, the family is very nice and professional. They always do a great job, even the grandmother. Shes a bit slow, so dont sit in her chair if you have some where to be.

Got my nails done here the other day and the service was great. These guys are amazing when it comes to nail art. Their prices are quite inexpensive too. Definitely one of my favorite nail places.

Service is pretty good although the wait time may be long. Most associates/nail techs are friendly and knowledgeable. Once you determine which associate/nail tech works best for you, keep her/him.

I used to come here all the time but now it seems i cant come here without having to wait 2+ hours to be serviced. I understand if its busy but be honest about wait times instead of wasting my time.

My granddaughter had her nails done there and they look very nice but they were slow and a lot had to do with appointments by specific people so you really had to wait more than an hour or so just to be seen so great work but service is slow.

Worst nail salon experience i have ever had. It took 3 and a half hours, with a screaming child running around. 1 and a half hours of waiting with only 1 person ahead of me and an hour and a half to get basic toe nail polish and a fill on my acrylics. No design. Just green nails. 3 cuts on my fingers and 2 cuts on my toes later. And the child was one of the nail techs child. Who was screaming and running around hitting the nail techs. The entire 3 hours. Unprofessional, and incapable salon.

If you want nail service head on here. These guys leave your nails looking amazing everytime they work on them. Nothing bits the great the great service these guys provide. I really appreciate you guys.

Im picky about my acrylic nails and Jeff did a great job. He was thorough and neat. My nails are holding up great. This will be my regular salon.

Took my two daughters there my 13 year old got charged $60 for her nails with gel color. My 14 year old paid $40 for regular paint and her eyebrows done. So they charged my 13 year old $28 more dollars just for gel color. Very rude and couldnt explain why the big price difference.

I used this shop for about 2 or 3 years for my nails. I only went to the gentleman in the first chair. He does great work however the wait is terribly long (I’ve waited like 3 hours once only because I had a special event did I wait so long). However, while waiting I noticed they were prejudice towards minorities. I never paid attention at first but then I began to notice when minorities (blacks, Hispanics, or Asians) came into the shop they never spoke or asked what they needed. However when whites people came into the shop each tech spoke in unison and asked how could they help them. My sister used this shop as well and I mentioned it to her and she began to notice the same thing.

The tech I had was really nice but my nails look horrible. I’m not impressed. My coffin nails aren’t even, my tumbs look like trash and the acrylic is lumpy. Was in Norfolk visiting a friend and needed a pampering while they were practicing. When I come back I will look at another salon.

I got a manicure with gel polish. My nails look great. I went back for a pedicure - awesome job. I dont think they make appointments though, which I would prefer, but other than that, I think they do a great job.

K and Anna are amazing!!! They create great coffin shapes and Anna even does the coveted ombre french! Their prices are very reasonable, but expect to wait a while (sometimes 1-2 hours) because they are small but very popular. I dont mind the wait because its so worth it! Also, Google says they open at 9AM but they dont open until 10AM, I learned that the hard way one day when I got there at 8:45AM hoping to be their first client and had to wait in my car until 10AM.

I had grown out my nails and wanted to get them done since I havnt grown them out very long before. I had wanted to do my nails here before so I decided that today was that day. I came in 30 minutes after they opened and was the first one in. One of the ladies greeted me kindly and got started with me right away. I picked a sparkly black ombré nail, and at first I thought the base color was too bright but didnt say anything, trusting her to believe she knows what she was doing. She also shaped and buffed my nail after she painted it on, which is something I havnt experienced before but liked. Overall, it took about 1 1/2 hours to do my nails, and I am so satisfied. I think my nails look beautiful and I will be definitely coming back again! I only paid $45 + tip for these beauties, and I think that it’s a reasonable price. Just a tip to anyone, do come in early. I noticed about this time (11:30 is when I walked out), a lot of people started coming in. So come about 9:45/10 in the morning and youll get your nails done right away!

I have been going to this nail salon for quite sometime, but the recent work on my nails has me reconsidering. Within a 3 days of getting a refill 3 nails broke which resulted in not one but two separate trips to the salon to have a repairs done. Two of the nails that were repaired broke again. I should not have to pay for a refill, and repairs three days after I just had a refill, I spent 17 dollars to have my nails repaired for them to break again! As a loyal customer or a customer period that is not in any way shape or form fair to me ! I do not have the time nor the money to keep getting my nails repaired when they should be done right the first time ! Not to mention I waited an hour just for repairs !

The staff are always friendly and are very skilled at their craft, as well as always pleasantly great you when you walk in the door. the facility is always clean, and their equipment is up to date.

Cut up my cuticles so bad. Left my hands bleeding. And gave me short fat acrylics that took forever to do. The design was okay. I guess this is why their cheap. Wont be going back.

On more than one occasion this salon has goated customers into spending hours waiting for service. Then refuse to make an appointment for you but will take “customers with appointments” before you. Their work is good for the price,...if you get service. I’ve been a customer for years because it’s location but ya girl will being going else where from now on. Waste someone else’s time.

1. My nail broke off less than a week after i got it done.2. The staff was very rude and was hesistant to give me a refund after I requested one because they weren’t able to do the design I wanted.

Anne she is good also but she will skip you if you dont watch her. Today i went i went in and i was very displeased and i wont be going back 2 1/5 hours only to get my toes done. I wanted my eyelashes,eyebrows and nails done i couldnt wsit any longer and the lil lady but she probably the oldest one in there she jacked my toes up. I dont know they need a bigger location and more nail techs. This was my last time im DONE and i have spent lots of money with them over the years but TODAY did it unsatisfied with the service. Wish you all the best MK Nails but ya just lost a good customer.
