I had a great experience. Kori was able to find a nice Honda Accord Sport that was exactly what I was looking for as it really fits my personality. No hassling and a really pleasurable car buying experience. Jose in finances was also extremely helpful and was able to work with the bank to find a loan that worked for myself and for Barry’s. Personally I recommend Barry’s and these two guys to anyone interested in buying a nice and dependable vehicle. This car will last me years and although it is a 2015, Barry’s did a great job fixing it up so it’s as good as new. If your like me and you desperately need a good car to get to work and to go on Tinder dates you should talk to these guys and maybe they can hook you up as well.

He went the extra mile and came to pick me up 30 minutes from the dealership because I had no other way to get there! They were able to get me financed and into a car the same day! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! It has been over 2 weeks and I still do not have the vehicle I purchased. I have now made a payment on a truck I do not own. These guys have more stories than Walt Disney. I suggest that you find somewhere else to buy a car. They lie to your face with a smile.

I was able to get back on the road after losing my second car to a flood, with the help of Mark C and the Barry’s team!Mark C and the team at Barry’s turned a really bad situation into a blessing. I walked in on foot after my engine blowing and walked out with a new car! What could have been a disaster, was fixed with the kind personnel at Barry’s.

I was put on the spot by my salesperson to give him five stars on this and it was still in the negotiation process so I gave him five stars however the service at batteries was not five star it was three at best. Granted they met me halfway on a repair that should have been done before I ever purchased the car.

My experience with the dealership overall however is a bit straining simply because the amount of time it’s taking to get my car to me, 3 weeks to be exact. Other than that, Jason has worked with me to get me an amazing car and so has the team!

Came into town from Florida for a weekend wedding. Had tire issues the entire drive north. Barrys Group were MORE than accommodating to my plight, even though they were booked for the entire Saturday. They were so helpful, and understood my short stay situation along with impending drive back to Florida, unlike Sullivan Tire next door, that didnt care to hear my story and said they were booked, even though the whole time Barrys Group worked on my vehicle, Sullivans six bays remained empty. Bought a dodge caravan 1 year ago and I have to get transmission work done already and there is a recall on the motor. I was told a year ago that if I didn’t leave a 5 star review that the car sales people do not get their commission. Also, after “purchasing” the vehicle and signing paperwork, I was told that banks for my loan were being changed and my loan amount increased. When I signed the original loan documents its because I was told that particular bank approved the transaction. Ive never bought a car, left the lot with it only to find out from the bank the transaction was not approved but pending. Then have dealership not tell me, do the process all over again and without me present. Never again would I use this dealership or recommend it.

For me, reviews are a big deal when determining whether I will purchase from a certain dealership or not. Barry’s reviews are exceptional, however, as a previous customer, I know that they require you to leave a review before you walk out the door. Here’s the thing, the reviews are quite misleading. I found my dream car at Barry’s Automotive after the first big snowstorm back in December. I needed something that would handle snow. I drove down to Newport from Massachusetts to test drive this vehicle and potentially purchase it. I noticed that the vehicle had a few concerning symptoms during my test drive, the manager reassured me it was due to it sitting as well as the V8 engine (the vehicle has a 6-cylinder engine). Pay close attention to the charges they add to your financed amount as they will sneak in extended warranties that you don’t agree to and then act as though you’re a remorseful customer when you attempt to get a refund for the additional charges. My salesman was great, however, the managers at Barry’s are extremely unprofessional and could care less about your concerns unless you’re a squeaky wheel. Some of my concerns were eventually rectified but it was a hassle and not something you expect when purchasing a vehicle. I hate to be the person that leaves a bad review because I know during these times family owned businesses are struggling however, customers need transparency and professionalism and Barry’s cannot provide that across the board, for every individual that walks through their door. I would not recommend buying your next vehicle from Barry’s.

So, going to a car dealership would probably not even make the list of my 1000 favorite things to do. I have had some issues with credit in the past and going to have some one pour over all of those issues never seems appealing. However, my experience at Barrys was nothing short of pleasant and surprising. Javani, my salesman, was straight forward, accommodating, and effective. I just moved to R.I. and needed a car---these guys made it happen.

Peter has been very helpful to both my family and I. Cant say enough good things about Barrys!! We came to visit RI from Maine, had some battery trouble before we left, but the car made it to RI fine. Check engine light came on a few hours later and I was worried I did indeed need a new battery. Pulled into Sullivans next door and they were very unaccommodating and wouldnt even look at the car, werent busy but said they were. Thank heavens we pulled in right next door to Barrys!!! They immediately brought our car in, saw how difficult a situation we were in being from out of town, traveling with kids, wanting to see RI and not have our car in the shop and be stranded the whole time, etc. So they immediately checked it out and had it all fixed up within the hour.
