Lester Norwood is an excellent Insurance Agent for Allstate and I highly recommend him. Lester will check in with you from time to time and always offers to do an insurance review when it is time to renew my policy. I have never had to file a claim, but Im sure Lester would have me covered if this ever happens.
I called Allstate customer service to find out how to go about canceling my insurance. I was informed to send and email to Mr. Norwood, detailing my cancelation date and if I had a new policy elsewhere, to provide that information. I did exactly as I was instructed, plus called the office to verify if my email was received; to which I was informed that it was. This was all done on April 14, 2021. I went to my account online and unenrolled from the automatic payments just in case they (Allstate) would still try to pull the funds. I decided to give Allstate customer service a call on April 21, 2021 in the morning and come to find out that my policy had in fact NOT BEEN CANCELED and that THEY STILL PULLED THE MONTHLY PAYMENT FROM MY ACCOUNT. Im so disappointed with this office. As I stated, I did my part, what I was instructed to do, and they did not honor my wishes in a timely manner. I now have to wait for a refund due to their negligence. I had a great 2+ years with them. Never an issue, until now.
I liked them so much, I transferred my parents insurence to them.
Lester recently became my agent with Allstate. Jennings Cotten was my agent for the last 7 years and the transition to Lester was seemless. My experience with Lester has been nothing but positive.
