Nice owner and customer service... excellent prices! The bikes are not the best but I believe it is definitely worth it. We rent bikes from them almost every week and their services is very good. After you rent your bike you can start biking to the south of the pier and your round trip will take about 1 hour with a few stops for taking photos or enjoying the view...

Very nice people. Definitely seemed like a family owned business. We got two beach cruisers for $20 for two hours (so $5 per bike per hour). We’ve done electric bikes before and always have fun, but the beach cruiser was so easy to ride and very steady. I had never ridden one before, but you have to pedal backwards to break. We rode about 8 miles in the two hours. It was so fun and romantic to bike on the boardwalk.

Be very very careful with this business, they are very shady and the bikes you rent are not maintained. They will also promise you one price at pick up but end up charging you more when you return. DO NOT leave your driver license with them when they ask for it, you should have your personal license with you at all times anywhere you go. The prices are over priced, I highly recommend you find somewhere else to rent from.

The owner is a tool that doesnt pay people for work. Did some modeling and the owner thinks i dont look like newport so he wont pay. DO NOT GO HERE! Dude obviously isnt from here.

My siblings and I would rent a beach house for four years straight, during the Holidays, and we would rent about 7 bikes for a week from Newport Bike & Beach Rentals and get a very good deal on cruisers. They included helmets and baskets. The bikes never broke down. I thought the people working there were nice. So I dont understand the negative reviews here. I have never had an issue with this place. And the price is competitive.

Costumer service was poor. But the price was good. Equipment was a little old but no malfunctions. Can’t complain. Would try em again :)

We had an easygoing experience here, no hassle really! We rented four bikes for two hours and then bought an umbrella. Our bikes were great and a lot of fun to ride down the beach!

Poor equipment and lacking customer service. We got the 4 seat bike and it wasnt worth it. The lady had a snappy attitude and the equipment was simply old. Never Again.

Cheapest bike rentals in town at $5/hour. They have lots of beachcombers available, perfect for riding around Newport Beach. And the woman working the shop was so sweet and helpful!

What captured our attention was the price, what was completely frustrating was the product and customer service. While out riding with a couple of friends, one bike had the chain fall off three times and another bike endured a flat tire. This left our group about 1.5 miles away from the shop, walking the bikes back. We weren’t on time for the return and when discussing not being charged extra on for the time we had to walk the bikes back, we were accused of being liable for the damages to the bikes when bringing up the mechanical issues. To get out of there, and get our driver licenses back, we ended up just paying the extra cost. In summary, this was a poor experience in Newport Beach and a relative black mark for the business community as a whole. In hindsight, I wish I would have walked a short distance to another bike rental shop.

I went in here hoping to get some help with a sticky link in my chain. They told me the issue was something else and that they couldnt help me...not very useful.

Cheap price poor service

They have bad equipment and they refused to refund even if there equipment did not work. The owner was so rude and would not correct the problem. The way they handle the situation was awful. Waisted my time and money.
