If I could be zero rating stars I will. I Tried ordering a taxi once I was attempting to give my pickup address I was hung up. Called again and they hang up on me. Out of frustration I mixed the name of the company and I was told this is not that taxi company and I was hung up. I was in need of a cab as of an emergency it if this is how they treat their customers over the phone I don’t want to even thing about the ride experience… truly disappointed very rude people couldn’t even get my cab ordered.

If I could give this one a zero, then I would. I was hoping to show my college age kid that there was a few reliable and cheaper ways to get around town other than using Uber, but I unfortunately picked the wrong taxi company to use as an example. I called them on Sun Aug 1 at 4:50pm to take a cab from Roanoke Ave., to the PNC on Ferry St. The dispatcher lady said 10 to 15 minutes, so my son and I wait outside so as not to keep the driver waiting. Well 30 minutes later I call back to find out how much longer for the taxi to be here.The dispatcher picked up and hung up twice, without ever saying hello how may I help you? After an hour standing outside, still no taxi. So yeah a zero for you, and this is why Uber and Lyft are taking your business.

I really wish I could give them no stars. Walking across the street this is the third time this year I almost got hit by one of their cars that blew a stop sign. Call to complain and they are rude and hang up on you and curse you out when you call back. Utterly disgusting and need to be shut down in my opinion

I called a cab at 9:54pm I was told 15 minutes!!! I called back after 20 minutes. I was told 10 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes, called back and was told 10 minutes again!!!! Called back at 10:32 pm was put on hold for 55 minutes and 23 seconds!!! Hung up called back was put on hold again. A Spanish speaking lady answered and had the audacity to justify to me why I was still waiting for a cab over and hour later!!! Then hung up on me!!! This so called car service needs a course on customer service!!! This car service SUCKS!!!! And to the lady that tried to justify my hour and change wait time needs to be FIRED!!!! You guys don’t even deserve the one star!!! I’m not done with this situation, I’m notifying the TLC!!!

Your drivers are the worst taxi drivers in the world. They constantly cut me off, make u-turns right in front of me, and never use their turn signals. It’s only a matter of time before I get into an accident with your terrible unlicensed drivers that have been up to these antics for more than 5 years

Told them an address and not only was the taxi driver trying to leave us in the wrong address but was trying to tell us we gave them the wrong city and that it would cost more than the quoted price. Theyve done this multiple times where the come up with an excuse for why youre paying a different price.

Great company been using them since the 90s, if u live in kearny u can take it anywhere in kearny for $7 u can also rent it gor 3, 4 hours or even more your choice. But with uber now on the seen its a little more expensive but atleast u can use cash incase u dont have credit card for uber. So its good to have both.

Ps...if you’re in a rush or last minute and got money they are there for you... Uber Lift drivers will never be classic like them they know routes and blocks like you’ve wouldn’t believe they are very easy and trust worthy 🧱🧩

The dispatchers the women mostly dont want to do there job you call and if ur unsure or dont know the address they can look it up for you but the women pick up are rude with even just picking up the phone and hold side conversation and put u on hold and then they tell you to hd hang up on you and when u call back they will tell you to find an address when u do call them back like your job literally is to put in address on to a computer using google map look up with you do nothing else all day at least do your job

Some of the dispatchers continuously hang up on me, Despite me needing their services to get to work sometimes. I have had a dispatcher hang up on me about six to eight times, and for what? Sometimes I tip their drivers. Its not the drivers, its dispatch.

These people are the worst don’t ever get a cab from them they take long on and when you call they put you on hold for 10 minutes on top of that when they pick up they have an attitude every time they pick up the phone.

I just called a lady answered and hung up I called again and said hello I was wondering the price of an urgent care to an address and she said I don’t know what that is call me back when you have an address with a a bad attitude and hung up. So I called again and made a complaint and they did nothing .

So bad! Driver was rude af! Plus their credit card system doesn’t work as he said (in very poor English) that both my cards were declined. We went to an aATM (driver had to follow me to it) And then the hour long drive (with another passenger next to the driver) cost me 160$ when the lady on the phone who I ordered the taxi from said it would cost 90$. On top of that, he wanted a tip, so the grand total was an astonishing 180$. Oh, did I mention the back windows don’t work, as in don’t go up? Never using this system again (I only took it In the first place because there were no Lyfts and Uber had extreme surge pricing). Plus whole experience was shady af

Been a frequent customer for almost five years. They are always reliable and fair with their prices. The operators have superior customer service skills and are very attentive. I also occasionally order my car service via the app. It helps me track down my driver. By far, best car service within the tristate area!

I called these fools many times when I needed a taxi the most because me and my parents were far away from home. Every time they picked up the call, it lead for them hung up on me or send me a message of their business then the call ends with no taxi requested. I hate them.

I would give them negative 10 stars if I can. Ive gotten hung up on and lied to. I was told that a cab would take 5 minutes but ended up waiting almost 40 minutes. Employees give attitude and hang up on you if you check on the time of arrival for the cab. Unprofessional dispatch employees. I do encourage people to use a ride sharing app instead. Some drivers are nice and kind others make their own price to get more money.

The cars are disgusting. The drivers are nasty and scam artists. Always making up their own prices. Never a set price you basically pay whatever that driver says. They lost another customer today! Plus they always ask how much you pay. You tell them and they add like $5 more. I say so why did you ask me how much. They are liars!

I used to take classic cabs all the time because I live in east orange. They used to be $7-8 or relatively priced for the locations I was traveling to. I would say that over the past year classic cab drivers and dispatchers have been rude, overpriced and down right disrespectful. Their customer service people hang up on you, some guy they call the manager is rude as hell and apparently the cab company and its drivers dont agree on what the fare is.One day the same trip is $7 next day or same day it can go from 9 on up. Its like the dispatch doesnt communicate with the drivers or the drivers werent educated on what the fares really are.This week was the last straw with classic cab. I just took a cab ride from my home to Walgreens in east orange and the fare is normally 8 or 7 dollars, I was charged 10 and the cab driver was rude about it and the dispatcher hung up on me. His excuse was that the driver came from Newark and thats an extra $2Earlier in the week a female cab driver for classic stopped my ride in the middle of it because she thought I wasnt going to pay. I had just come from breakfast in west orange and the ride cost me $10 going there. I get in her cab and I guess the way I was dressed she discriminated against me and asked me for the fare the moment I got in the car. She says its 15 and when I tell her what I paid to get there she stops the car and calls dispatch. Speaking rude to me the whole entire time. I tell dispatch the situation and dispatch says that it cant be helped. The ride is $15.Take classic cab if you want. I wouldnt spend another dime on them. And the drivers are thieves at times. They will know the price and still ask you what the price is hoping youll overpay so they can get tips. Some of them are so dishonest until you threaten to call dispatch then they want to give you the correct fare.

I used to like this car service but lately I’ve been having some nasty drivers. Just got off, I asked him how much? He asked how much I usually pay I said well usually $8 but I’m asking you how much do I pay and he’s complaining oh it can’t be $8 because I don’t know what! So then why are you asking how much I usually pay if you’re going to argue with me that it can’t be, I just wanted to pay whatever and just go home I had a rough day at work and to deal with that stupid driver. I explained my situation about being down to my last and was trying to make this day special. I requested a black car service and was able to afford their prices. I am new to NJ she made me feel very happy with her Customer Service. Thank you so much Marilyn for your Outstanding help. I look forward to dealing with classic for many more Travels.
