If you want to be taught by someone who constantly has an attitude. Then here is the perfect place for you❤️. If you aren’t going to be patient with your students you shouldn’t be an educator. It shouldn’t be uncomfortable for a student to ask a question in class. Wouldn’t recommend. And the teacher always comes to class late (1-2hrs late) brings her kids to class which is also unprofessional. Favoritism gets shown in class like we are in grade school. It’s actually pathetic. Do better.
Good school! Finished earlier than expected and passed the state exam on the first try! Recommended to anyone considering to get licensed in the area!
They never answer the phone, i call the answering service prompts me to dial zero for operator. Another answering service come on bilingual and that is it. Trying contact these people is frustrating. Which makes me think do I really want to go to school here and give them my money? NOT
Great school! Family owned no funny business here. I actually have a couple of barbers that have gotten liscence by Blancos. They have a very high passing rate!
Called the school to inquire about the manicure course, the person that answered was very short with me and wanted to get me off the phone. He also said that it’s only a Spanish speaking course, no English instructor ....
They do not pick up the phone and when do pick up theirs a lady that doesnt know whats going on. I called to ask for information about their training program and the lady said What Training Program? then I said is this the right number to the Cosmetology School? She said Ooh okay information! Then pass the phone over to a man and he starts talking about prices when I wanted information about the school, made me felt uncomfortable... He said $10,250 for school and put down a $1,000 payment Now then I asks what do I need and he said Diploma, picture iD and Social I ask do they take financial aid and he reply Nope Maybe Next Year then Hang Up. Im surprise because usually when running a business you give information then talk prices, it felt like they was trying to get me in already and hand over that certification. Even tho they kinda sound nice over the phone but something feels shady... Probably its just me but hows everyone experience with them with calling? 🤷🏻 I dont want to make the wrong decision on walking away and missing out on learning and growing but I also dont want to get ripped of over $10K...
I’m already a licensed Cosmetologist since 2012, I didn’t go here, but I took a tour of the school to see how it looked, (for possible future employment as a teacher). it’s actually very beautiful inside. The owners son is very nice, and they are professional. Many in the community know the owners since their childhood, and have been getting their haircuts there for years. My son, and his grandparents get their haircut, and hair done at Blanco’s. The reason they don’t offer financial aid yet, it because if a school is a bit new, the school has to kind of prove themselves to the state for a few years with students paying out of pocket, before they can qualify for financial aid, and from what I hear, they are working hard on it. Maybe that’s why the person at the office went straight to pricing not to waste anyone’s time (I’m assuming). Doing your research in schools is actually a great idea, so you can see which school is best for you as an individual, and your pocket. Having a few options, and getting information is great. The Whole Cosmetology Course (which is 1200 hours) Gets You Licensed In Hair, Skin, Nails. That means you can be a stylist, barber, nail technician, and esthetician with this license. For me I’m a barber, I got injured in the workplace many years ago, so with my license, I can also do Esthetician’s work. If I want to get in to nails, I can also do this type of work with my license. But if you’re only interested in just Nails, you can take the nail only course, if you’re only interested in Skin, you can do the Esthetics course, if you want to do Barbering you can do that course by itself. If you want to do everything, you can do the whole Cosmetology course which is 1200 hours. The other courses are shorter, maybe even cost less, less hours because you already know which area you want to concentrate on, like Only Hair, Only Skin, Only Barbering, Or Only Nails. Hopefully, this will help anyone needing this info... No I don’t work for this company, the information I gave is helpful with any Cosmetology School that you may want to go to. You can also follow me on Instagram: JC La Beauty Chica if you need a little bit of advice on different courses schools have. God bless, Jetsie C. (Future Licensed Cosmetology Teacher).
