I came to Public Storage in Newark and had a great experience. Nasira saved me by finding my lost wallet!!! She was extremely nice and I highly recommend this place.

Mostly clean facility! Appears to be new. Smooth check in process. I was under the understanding my unit would cost $74 and it was $135 due to move in. Also, I was told I could move in as long as I arrived by 5 pm. Less than 1 hour before move in upon me asking additional questions I learned that you can not access your belongings after 5pm which is very early. I also learned that all the access to the elevators shut off at 5pm. I wish this information was all communicated to me during the book in process so I could have chosen a different storage facility that was more accessible. I also wish a 24 hour access past could have been offered to me seeing that I told the front desk I was driving from 13 hours away and arriving at 4:50 pm due to traffic and that courtesy of was not offered to me. I learned about this courtesy after being shut out of the facility at 5pm and speaking with customer service.

One of the elevator never works in this location. So our movers took lot of time to load stuff with just one elevator. They dont have enough dollys if more than two people come at same time. Always have to wait.Staff working here doenst look happy and feels like they are irritated and if ask any questions they are like dont you know this ? kind of response.Timings of this place is insane. Generally any storage I have rented so far open until 8 pm atleast to pick stuff after work. It was so uncomfortable to work with this times.I dont recommend this place, if you want flexibility with time .

This was my first time getting a storage unit, I’m super glad I experienced it in this Location because there I met Nasira who guided me into the whole process. I didn’t know what size unit I needed but she didn’t insist on trying to get me a bigger space she just showed me difference which I really appreciate, really good service! I would highly recommend.

This place is not at all what I thought it was it is poorly managed theres usually cars abandoned RVs or trailers that are in the parking lot theres two separate locations with two separate gates to get into elevators two elevators for five floors not enough elevators especially if one or both of them are out no notice of changing hours I would definitely not recommend this

Pretty mean staff. The facility manager didn’t even take me to the unit to show how to open it and use it. I asked one of the employees how to open and use it. His response: “You have to be really dump not to figure it out!”I complained to the division director and ask for an apology. His response: “The facility manager had a tough day. But they will call and apologize.” That was 5 months ago. No phone calls. No apology. So, if you want a decent customer service - you will never get it at this facility.If you are looking for a follow up from admin - they probably wouldn’t keep their word, just like they never did it with me.

When I went to the facility on my move in date i was informed that an online reservation did not guarentee the unit requested would be available. So they offered me a smaller sized unit at a higher price. I was in a pinch because i needed to put stuff in storage. After leaving the facility i was able to secure the larger sized unit I had originally reserved at another local Self storage in town. So I got the size unit i had initially reserved from a different location of the same company and although I had not moved in to the smaller unit and had signed the contract under duress they refused to cancel my original contract. I called the regional manager who was in charge of both facilities. And basically was informed there was nothing he could do. So i ended up having to pay for a unit that was not close to the size i had originally reserved and never used, even though i rented another unit at a sister facility that did meet my needs and matched my original reservation. Very disappointing.

Definitely a 5 star review. We have an outside unit, which we have had for over a year. We always see Claudia and Ashley doing the rounds and cleaning all around the property, and even though they are busy, they take the time to answer any of our questions with a smile, which we can appreciate. We really like that Public Storage keeps this property clean. And the employee presence around the property gives us a sense of security and that we made the right choice to rent here.

Signed up for our storage room today. This place is immaculate and climate controlled which will protect your items and keep you cool during your move. Cecelia was very friendly and efficient in helping us with merchandise to purchase. Kim showed us how to use the locks for our storage and have access by car. Ashley is a great manager making sure everything runs smooth. All of these ladies were very pleasant to work with. They take pride in their jobs.

Worst storage facility I have seen anywhere in the country. Sends letters to the wrong address when they have the correct one on file, charges ridiculous lien fees when their own agents failed to inform the client that they can update their new card information at any Public Storage. The insurance you pay every month does not have any use except when you actually lost your property they gave you a pamphlet. The entire company from facility staff to their district manager were keen on finding any excuses to justify their mess up. Extremely rude and insulting staff.Update: I informed them over a week ago that I was moving out, nobody put a note on it. I called the center today to ask how to move out of the facility and remind them that I was moving out before the next billing period. The person named Alice managed to hang up on me three times without letting me know any information on how to check out. I have never seen a business that cannot answer a simple question that take 2 minutes to answer. And I have never seen such an extended effort trying to scam another month out of customers who are moving out.

As far as storage locations go this place is the best. The super helpful and always nice ladies at the front desk are always helpful. And the climate controlled units they have is also a plus. Good pricing too.

Was looking for a quick solution for storage. Made a reservation online and received a call immediately after. Staff was super friendly upon arrival. Morell from the front desk walked me through the process and answered all my questions. The building is cleaner than the other locations i visited. I recommend this place if youre looking for a place to store your so stuff for a very good price.

I called and inquired about a storage unit. The young lady that works there (CeCelia) answered all of my questions in regards how much and what unit was best for my needs, she was very helpful, sweet and knew what she was talking about. I highly recommend this public storage in Newark. This place is very nice, they have climate controlled units which is nice not all places have them. Overall this place is pretty Awesome.

First off let me start with saying Javier is amazing, he gave me the best customer service, not once did he have a bad attitude with me no matter how many times I called him, he was very knowledgeable about everything when it came to getting the perfect units . I am the operations manager for a liquidation company and he helped me with all my questions and everything I needed to having the best storage units for my project out in Newark .2nd The price very affordable . I cant be any more satisfied with this place. The units are nice and clean and very well priced. Ashley did a fantastic job of explaining all the details of my lease and was kind enough to thoroughly answer all the questions I had. Ive now had my unit for about 2 weeks now and so far everythings going on good.

I came here a couple of weeks ago to get info on a rental for a friend that’s moving and Ashley helped me so much!! She really knows how to run this location I’ve been to others which were great but she actually took me to see the units and just helped me with pricing and everything! Good people still exist! We will be coming back to rent soon!

Weve been using this Public Storage since late 2016. The building was brand new when we moved our stuff in. It has excellent security and is clean. All of the onsite staff Ive encountered have been professional, friendly and helpful. As weve gotten rid of some of our stuff weve downsized a few times and it has been very convenient to do so. If you have to put stuff in storage, this establishment is a very good and efficient one to use.

Kimberlee helped us find the right space for us. She was very helpful and listened to all of our needs. And all of our concerns. She also showed us how to enter the property and how to access our space unlock and lock it, very professional employee well look for her to help us with all of our needs thank you Kimberlee.

First time needing storage, and I cannot thank the staff there for being so helpful, friendly, and accommodating to my needs and schedule. If they treat all their customers half as well as I was treated, they are deserving of 5 stars all the way!

I stopped by the PS at 6800 Overlake Place in Newark CA because it was close to where I was at and I just needed to make a payment. I wanted to leave a review for this place because not only was it clean, but the customer service provided by Ms Claudia was excellent, she greeted me with a smile and a happy demeanor, which made making my payment there not so much of a chore. PS needs to hire more employees like Ms Claudia, people who seem to get what customer service is about.

Staff are very considerate and helpful. I always get a live person to help and to answer questions. The air controlled environment makes it much more pleasant to move boxes in and out and I don’t worry about excessive moisture.

This is the worse storage that I have seen. I have been using storage spaces for my boat over the years. This place will do things on purpose to charge you fees. They promise things to get you in their facility and once you are in they will find every possible excuse to charge you with bogus fees. Their management is terrible and they don’t even return your calls. I will never use this place nor recommend it to anyone.

I recently moved into this storage facility. This place is a wonderful place to rent and I would recommend it to any of my friends and family. The units are temperature controlled, clean - inside and out, and the staff have been very courteous from day one. All of the women there (i have encountered 4) have made sure we moved in with ease and have ensured all of our needs are met. There has not been one staff member that hasnt greeted me upon entry and hasnt helped me move purchased boxes to my car. It was important for me to make this review because most folks take the time to write poor reviews but it is great to feel welcome and appreciated for your business. Keep up the great work ladies!!!

This place is relatively inexpensive, so if thats your only concern, go for it. But be aware, this place has the worst service of any storage facility Ive used.First, the carts. Every other storage area Ive used has carts readily available to move boxes in the lobby. Here? You have the carts, but be ready to walk around the outside of the (large) building, out of the fenced area (which can only be re-entered using the car access gate), and leave your ID at the office in exchange for a key. Then, you get to find which of the 9 carts it actually unlocks, noting that half the time the key is mislabeled. If youre lucky, the cart wont be in the back blocked by multiple locked carts in front of it. And if the office is closed, youre out of luck. I guess its too complicated to take a quick look at the security footage, correlate it with the door access, and suspend the responsible persons account if someone actually wants to steal a $50 cart.Next, restrooms. This may sound a little silly, but sometimes it takes a little time to get your storage area organized, and bathrooms are actually pretty important. Even inside business hours, Ive found both restrooms locked and out of service. (Door says vacant, but the handle has been locked from the outside.) Maybe someone just forgot to unlock them? Because, as with the carts, if the office is closed, no restrooms.The final straw and the reason Im leaving this review was the lovely call I received after, evidently, *gasp* leaving the parking lot an entire 10 minutes after closing. (Not the building, mind you, the *parking lot*.) Ive honestly never heard a business get so worked up about a complete non-issue, calling on the weekend (days after the incident actually occurred) and threatening to suspend access if this ever happens again. Oh, and there are no clocks on the wall, so better keep a close eye on your phone and hope it actually agrees with the facilities system. (I was absolutely out of the building before 9:00, and am quite sure I was out of the parking lot less than 10 minutes after that.)What a waste. I thought I had found a good solution for a long-term storage arrangement, but instead Ill have to wind down use of this facility and look elsewhere. I guess I should have taken the hint when it turned out to be a hassle just getting the facility to honor their advertised pricing on move-in.Quick update: After the earlier incident mentioned, I was explicitly told that the issue was leaving the parking area more than 10 minutes after closing. This is apparently false, and the policy is simply that one must be entirely out of the parking area (a.k.a the facility) by precisely 9:00. I also inquired and was told that strikes for leaving the parking area even a minute late never expire, so after this happens twice, your access hours are completely at the mercy of Public Storage, forever. (The admittedly very polite employee I spoke with emphasized that the specifics are handled on a case by case basis, but thats beside the point.)This just confirms what I had already determined, that Public Storage is more worried about whatever precisely their concern is with a customer leaving their parking lot a minute late than they are with maintaining a long-term relationship. Thats their prerogative, but this is not a company Im interested in having anything to do with in the future.

Hello, i just want to say this storage is great.I have been helped in a nice way that when i leave from making my payment i always fill good when i walk out.the property is kept clean, the office people are nice and helpful, i really like this place and i am glad that i chose this one.Any time i needed to ask a question or needed help it was right away service.I have came in at times in a bad mod and the help i get made me smile when i walk out all the time.I think the people there in the office treat everyone with respect,so now when i go make my payment i am always in a good mod because i know if i am not i will leave in a good mod and my payment is very fare, i like thisstorage .My dad used it and that is why i chose to use it and now i am glad i chose this place.I have seen other places but this is the one that i think is best for me and i am hard to please,i am always going to use this storage i like it

I would totally recommend this place. My experience here is great, as a couple of people that I knew use this particular facility, because of the property manager. She i very nice, organize, clean, and TOUGH. I think I came in past the property usage hour to grab something really quick, she literally went to my own storage and told me to leave LOL! Which you can totally understand, wouldnt you want to feel secure knowing someone is watching the facility. I know my stuff is secure, would use this place again :) Thank you for all the hard work :)

Moving out on your own can be really stressful, but the one thing that was not stressful was getting a storage unit here. Ashley helped me out the other day. She showed me all of my options, inside and out. She helped me with boxes and bubble wrap and a mattress cover. Things that I hadn’t thought about, she had me covered. I did not feel rushed or pushed to get anything I didn’t need. I’m very satisfied with my unit and the reasonable price tag that goes along with it. Thanks Ashley!!

Clean and new. Facility is a year old I was told and inside is well maintained. One time both the car gate and entrance to the building was both open, allowing anybody to enter and get to a different floor even by simply following someone else. Please keep the gates/doors locked at all times to require people to enter in their codes to access the facility.
