This company uses deceptive and unfair practices to trick you into paying higher rates than they advertise.Their website advertises a rate of $293 for a 10x 25 climate controlled unit in my area, with 30% off the first 3 months’ rent. I used the express check-in option and payed a pro-rated amount for the month of September to secure the unit and lock-in the $293 price. Once I did this I was told that I couldn’t access the unit until I signed my lease agreement. The lease agreement listed an ENTIRELY different rate of $356. For anyone wondering, I assure you, I didn’t accidentally select a more expensive unit during check-out. I have screenshots to prove it. Even to this day the price on this unit remains $293 on their website.After reaching out to support with screenshots and receipts, I was basically told “tough luck” and that they can’t update the lease agreement to honor their online pricing or give me a refund without speaking to the district manager.I’ve been waiting almost a week for the district manager to reach out and I haven’t heard anything. Oh, and if I get a refund, it will take 4-6 weeks for them to mail me a check…I’ve already reported to my local AG Consumer Complaint department, the BBB, and the CFPB.DO NOT work with this company.

The process of getting the unit was smooth. I may have missed the fine print but even though a 5x15 is a nice amount of space, the door to the unit is only about 2 and 1/2 ft by 6 ft tall. Very upsetting. Very nice place and Brooklyn is great! Safe location as well.

Easy rental process, the rental agent Brooklyn, was super knowledgeable, patient, helpful and friendly which made the whole process a breeze.

They are very pricey God forbid your a few days late they add a $100 auction fee and my stuff wasnt scheduled to go up for action for another month. Know where was I told they had a moving truck you I could use just replace the gas. So Ive used several storage facilitys and by far this is the most expensive Ive ever used all other places in MD charge $25 not a $100 and definitely not for being just a few days late they love to charge a lot of fees so read your contract.

Granted, the storage always seemed to be clean every time I’ve went .. Started renting at $130, randomly went up to $150 ( they stated they apparently sent a letter that i never received ) They would send out reminder text to pay on the 6th of every month ( which by then it is late ) don’t understand why they wouldn’t send it out on the 5th, every person that i have ever dealt with here are incredibly rude & ignorant. They don’t know how to speak to people & now they’re telling me I owe them money when my belongings were moved out by the end of the 1st day of the month . DO NOT RECOMMEND. OVER PRICED & RUDE

Brooklyn was very helpful

The temperature-controlled units are easily accessed, halls are kept clean and carts are almost always available. Every now and then theres a problem with one of the entry keypads, but you can contact the office from the keypad and they can override from there. And when theres been a problem, the next time Ive gone in, it has always been repaired. Their largest units (10 x 15 and 5 x 15) are not cheap, but they are very secure and only a mile or two from my house, so worth it! The pricing of the other units is within the average for the Newark area.

I have had a great experience with Storage Rentals. They have maintained the facility well, are always pleasant to deal with, and help me move up to a larger unit, no muss, no fuss.

This is my first time using this location. So far so good.

I stored my belongings here for 3-4 years and have nothing but great things to say about Storage Rentals of America. Bernie, the manager there was always super-friendly and helpful. The facility is very clean and the climate control is second to none! My stuff was well-protected and is in the exact same shape compared to when I first moved in. One of the worst places to rent !! They refuse to help if you get behind on rent. Im a vet and dad whose been raising my two sons by myself since the youngest was about 2 months old, I also have had to quit my job to also take care of both my parents who have many medical issues. The moment I start getting stuff caught back up they tell me to pay the whole bill or lose all my irreplaceable memories. I offered to pay an extra $100 - $150 a month on top of my regular bill until it was caught up. Well they sold everything and told me sorry.

After calling around to different storage facilities, I found Bob and Bernie to not only answer questions thoroughly but to do so with wonderful personalities and a genuine sense of customer appreciation.Bob personally walked me through the facility and showed me different options while Bernie took care of some paperwork and other customers. Great teamwork! You can tell the units and grounds are well taken care of and there is ample surveillance in addition to the gated entry and exit. I am happy to give them my business and encourage anyone considering storage to make this stop #1.

Great communication skills great customer service great security system thats all I can say so far Ive been there for 2 years as a customer nothing bother me yet found nothing wrong yet any problems I have I bring it to their attention they fix it quickly and correctly I will refer this place to anyone.

Mr. Bob, the assistant manager, was very efficient. During our time we encountered a electrical malfuction with the keypads and Mr. Bob came over and helped us with fix the problems. When first visiting the location (1/6) the lady who helped me stated she had worked for the company for 10+ years but she was not very knowledgeable. She told me that I would be prorated for half of the month and then get my first full month (February) for a $1 special. She did not give me a receipt after running my card so when i got home I checked my email and noticed that I was fully charged ($63) instead of the $1 special I was told I would receive. I actually forgot the tape I purchased so the next day, I went to pick it up. When I walked in, I spoke to a man and he explained that it was notated and an email was sent to a supervisor to have this adjustment corrected before the transaction posted to my bank account. The issue was never corrected and I went back in on 1/18 and spoke to a helpful younger woman. She did however explain that the supervisor is working on getting me a credit posted for the month of march but it would not be for the $1 special i was told about because the original woman i spoke to did not notate it on the account. I am slightly bothered by the fact that I was told one thing, and then charged & told something else. Im grateful for the clear explanation as to why I was fully charged but let down that the initial woman I spoke to did not give me the special she told me, or any special at all.

On August 6th, 2018 I visited Storage Rentals of America at 2090 Stafford Way, Newark De 19711, after checking other Storage locations, because I was in desperate need of a storage rental facility due to redevelopment. I was greeted by the Property Manager Bernie, and after explaining the size of united I needed to store my personal items, she showed me after deciding the size unit I needed that available and just right for my needs.Each month I personally visited the rental office to pay my storage rent and I was greeted always with professionalism and courtesy by Bernie and Bob, and it was a pleasure just having a conversation with them both.On October 15th, 2019, I visited the office advising Bernie, that I was going to be removing ALL my items from the storage # 2014 before the October 31st, 2019. I was completely moved out on October 23rd, 2019.I must say that this was the first 1st experience for me having to use a rental storage and I loved the location and it suited me well.I want to say thank you very much Bernie and Bob for making me feel like being right at home have access to my unit finding everything safe and secured, and I will recommend Storage Rentals of America at 2090 Stafford Way to anyone I find that is in need of a storage facility for either short or long term usage.Thanks again Bernie and Bob and continue the fabulous work you are doing in treating customers with the utmost respect making them feel right at home, God Bless you both for a job well done.John Brown

I needed to secure a storage unit in a rush due to a family emergency. The site manager, Bernie, was friendly and able to accommodate me, making the experience quick and enjoyable. She even saved the change from my setup deposit when I left without it. Will definitely be reccomended for the future.

Great place to store your items not happy about them cutting your locks or raising their price. Well air conditioning. Offer military discounts foe veterans. Employees are friendly and helpful.

I just rented a storage unit with Storage Rentals of America on March 4, 2019. I signed up for 24/7 hour access-which I am being charged for (PAPERWORK STATES IT CLEARLY!) I had to be moved out of my place by Sunday, March 10th. Low and behold, when I had a car load and a truck to follow AFTER 9:00p.m., Saturday...GUESS WHAT HAPPENED? Well, well, well-You are absolutely right! My code DID NOT WORK! You can’t believe the stress and inconvenience this has caused me!!! I was literally at my breaking point and succumbed to tears. I was EXTREMELY patient with the lack of knowledge and/or training curve when opening my account.Being the understanding and patient person I am, I failed to see or chose to overlook the situation for what it was...A HUGE RED FLAG!They certainly remembered to charge me for 24/7 access! My code worked prior to 9:00p.m.. The after hours phone number which I damn near broke my neck to see on the inside of the gate was USELESS!!! The man that answered my call showed no sympathy and HUNG UP ON ME!!! I have been renting storage units for over 25 years and I NEVER experienced anything like this!Note: I would like to thank the young fellows (renters) on site which helped me that evening.P.S. Some mistakes you can’t afford to make.I AM BEYOND UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED!!!

Clean and nice e staff

If you are looking for a self-storage place then you have just found it. The staff here are the absolute best and most friendly people Ive had the pleasure of dealing with. And when I say that I mean any business. The prices are comparable to others and the facility is clean and well maintained. They also have a moving truck you can rent with the lease of a new unit for free! With the exception of re-filling the gas tank and a cash hold that you get back after the truck is returned undamaged.A++ to the staff at this location, they are the best.

DO NOT…I repeat DO NOT rent a storage unit from this place. They have faulty piping in their buildings. The pipes will burst and destroy your furniture and they will leave you ON YOUR OWN. I purchased their “insurance” for coverage in case this happens. THE INSURANCE IS BOGUS…they will tell you “once your claim leaves our hands we have nothing to do with it”…that’s because THEY NEVER TURN THE CLAIM IN TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY….I DEMANDED that they turn mine in and provide me the information. SROA THEN REFUSES TO provide the insurance company with the proper documents.NOT ONLY THAT…the insurance company has NO ADJUSTERS…NOTHING required by Title 18 of the Delaware law in order to process your claims. PLEASE look up their insurance company WK WEBSTER OVERSEAS. This insurance company HAS ALLLL NEGATIVE reviews regarding the same thing I’m typing. They DO NOT PROCESS CLAIMS…they “dance” back in forth with SROA on “the official documents” ..in other words they will “play” you for months until you “forget about it”….and “let it go”…thereby continuing to sell insurance yet avoiding paying the majority of claims…THE INSURANCE COMPANY AND SROA ARE OPERATING TOTALLY OUTSIDE OF DELAWARE TITLE 18 CODE OF LAW (which covers storage rental facilities also)

Higher than the previous owners but if you are fortunate enough to catch a discount, it okay. Storage is not as clean as it was with previous owners.

Called them and was waiting on hold listening to their annoying music for over 10 minutes. unfortunately due to circumstances for the job we were doing we needed to move in on a Sunday and they said they arent open on Sundays so apparently on of the two days of a weekend that someone would be able to move in if they had a real job the store is closed. she said we are closed today so we will go ahead and have you move in tomorrow. like I was going to change my plans because she said so. very poor people skills and customer service.
