At 5pm on Friday July 2, 2021, I googled for theClosest shoe repair store to my apartment and saw that the George Shoe Repair was the closest. Another reason I chose to go there was because it stated the store was open until 6pm. So I got dressed, left my building, jumped into a cab and arrived at the store at 5:35, and saw that the store was pitch black inside with no sign of being open! Do they closed the store not caring if one of their customers might trust their site on Google would be honest and accurate that the store would be open after making an effort to leave the apartment, go out into the hot temperatures, spend money for transportation to the store and then spending again to immediately go back home! And all for nothing! That is not good customer service; that is non existence customer service! Pathetic!

This place so great. They take care of your needs, very friendly staffs.

Talented team, however the talent does not speak of your level of education. You don’t demand a gratuity and do not harass your costumers when by mistake you don’t bring cash and also not the costumer fault they do not take credit card tips when they overcharge you when you pay with a credit card. Don’t go there if you want to be harassed for tips. We suggest the owners to give a better pay to their employees if they do not want them to harass the costumers.

What a great experience, the staff here are friendly and really know their stuff. I chose to get the highest level of shine offered due to my shoes never having any treatment and being in dire need. A dark haired girl helped me, and explained what she was doing during the process. She did an amazing job, my shoes look better than the day I bought them. If you are in the financial district do yourself a favor and go here. Seats are comfortable, the space is nicer than others, reading material available, and talented, professional, friendly staff.

So the only reason for 4 stars/5 is because he left for a month and didnt make that clear to me....with 3 pairs of my designer shoes stuck there.Absolutely beautiful work! I will go back in a heart beat. It was $82 for 3 pairs, but they are all like new! Worth every dollar. I would rec. him to anyone in need of shoe repair.

Charged me a “credit card fee” without telling me there’s a fee for using a credit card. $60 for heels and soles seems like a lot to me. Quality of the work seems fine. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere going forward.

Awfull customer service from the shoe shine man. He literally asked me for more tips for today and last time I forgot to bring cash. It is a shame they have to ask for that when tips are not mandatory . We are not coming back

Amazing! I dont know where to start. These guys are seriously good at what they do. Ive never had my shoes shined before and they did an amazing job at making feel welcome. Being my first...I decided to make it count. I got the all out saphir shine. These shoes were a little different being two toned. They were a Christmas gift. I felt bad because I already scuffed them up. There was a deep scratch on my right does and tons of marks all over then both. They put coat after coat and fixed them right up. You cant even see the marks anymore. They actually look better than they did when I first opened them.

They spent the time needed to make sure I was satisfied. Working in customer service I know good attitude and good service goes a log way and boy did these guys have it. I recommend them to anyone. Definitely a must for any man getting their shoes cleaned up.

These guys did a fantastic job replacing the soles on my work boots. Fast and professional, I will be bring all of my shoes here to have them replaced. Store owners are nice. I highly recommend them for your shoe repair needs.

The did a great job putting on new heels on my dansko clogs. $25 and worth the price. Nice storefront with a fairly warm ambiance for a shoe repair. They were able to add taps to a pair of boots on the spot too.

Amazing leather belts. They-by-far are the best when it comes to repairing name brand shoes 👍. Thank you guys amazing experience btw I have a customer for you knowing you will treat them well.

This place is legit. Sole repair, heel replacement and they buffed out my shoes all for $30. The price is right and the work is good. Couldnt ask for more.

I love this shop! And I always feel guilty about how little I spend for such awesome work!! For example, I have a beloved Louis Vuitton purse and the strap tore off over time. I took the bag to the LV shop in Union Square, and they basically said it was beyond repair and sent me away with the impression that Id have to spend $950 to replace it.

I brought my Louis Vuitton bag to George Shoe Repair, and they fixed the strap for CHEAP!!! Wow. And its held up ever since!
