Gentle wash has been the best pick up service I’ve used! My clothes always come out smelling and looking great, and I’ve never once had an issue. They are extremely responsive and friendly, and I will only use them in the future. Prices are great too. Highly recommend!!!

Excelent service! Staff is very nice, they also speak Spanish if you ask.The machines are in very good condition, the space is quite big, clean and quiet. They have an assortment of detergent and softener if you need to purchase or forgot yours like I did. There’s also an ATM and snack vending machine inside.

Saw great reviews, decided to try their pickup and delivery for myself to see if reviews are accurate. Well, so far the first delivery was great! Didnt really see anything to complain about. I mean my clothes smelled like fresh downy as I requested. My delicates were delivered back hang dried as requested again. The whites were bleached and I beautifully folded. My down comforter was properly washed and actually came back fully dried! Dry Cleaning was delivered a few days later which is fine and also nicely done. Yes, I am Gentle Wash subscriber going forward!

I’ve been using Gentle Wash Laundromat close to 5 years now and finally got a chance to put my thoughts on social media. They are one of the cleanest laundromat services I have used. I mostly use their pickup and delivery as well as wash and fold drop off service which works spot-less each time. I can text them and within minutes someone is by my doors picking up my laundry and sometimes dry cleaning. I used to use their self-service however and was a good experience for me since their machines are new and the facility is clean and kept in nice shape. They accept all types of contactless payments including Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay. I really do appreciate them for their honest and great work every time. I also appreciate them not raising their prices during these not so easy times. Gentle Wash is a trustworthy business and laundry on demand service and while I live in New York I will be their customer.

I am new to Gentle Wash Laundromat but not to New York City. My partner and I are impressed with their same day wash and fold service. Their on-demand pickup and delivery laundry as well as quality dry cleaning services runs flawlessly every time! Tried a few dry cleaners in the area and decided to stick to Gentle Wash. Noticeably they follow our instructions very carefully and do sanitize and bleach our clothes accordingly. The employees wear masks and gloves and the place looks very clean and welcoming. At first we used to use their drop off service which is the best but then tried pickup and delivery and got spoiled with it! With a simple text, someone shows up at your doorsteps literally within 30 minutes. The best service in New York City!

Best spot in Manhattan! Wash and fold service is above competition. I am not concerned sending them my top brand clothes for I see the time and quality that goes in their work. Neighborhood hidden gem for sure!

- Lost clothing, unwilling to reimburse -I would give Gentle Wash negative stars if Google allowed it. I brought my clothing to Gentle Wash to get dry cleaned. After a week of walking back in and being told that it is on its way they told me that they may have misplaced it. Two weeks of be patient, Ill give you an update in a few days I finally reached Boris the manager who confirmed they did in fact lose my romper.Ive never had a dry cleaner lose clothing before. On top of that, Boris is refusing to replace the item at its cost because it has been worn. They now are also saying I can enjoy store credit of 1/3 of the cost of the clothing they lost. Of course, no one would go back to a place that doesnt take care of their clothing.Needless to say, if you enjoy your clothing take it somewhere else. The management is rude and irresponsible.

The drop off service is very nice. Weve dropped our clothes, usually a couple weeks worth of laundry at a time, many times, and its always clean, undamaged, and nicely folded. They are always on time as well. The ladies there are always very nice. Great spot to get laundry done!

I was hesitant to use pickup and delivery service for wash and fold laundry service after my two not good experiences with other laundry services. Well, after using Gentle Wash Laundromat five times now, I can officially say that I am very pleased and thankful to the way they take care of my delicate clothes that are easy to shrink and easy to damage. Their prompt Text message to make appointment service works amazing and very detailed - actually works much better then scheduling appointment via app IMO. I love this place! Ive been using their delivery service for wash/fold for 1.5+ years -- the service is outstanding and staff are extremely kind and courteous! Its super easy to communicate with them and arrange for pickup/delivery (you just text) and Ive never waited more than 5-10 mins for a response. The delivery service is also consistently on time when picking up/dropping off -- I think they ran late once? But they texted to alert me and apologize ahead of time (and, I had explicitly stated I wasnt in a rush that day). AND they offer contact less payments.There arent many places where the customer service is at this level of outstanding - they definitely go above and beyond, even when they dont have to. Its literally the easiest laundry has ever been in the 16 years Ive lived in NYC. Just go here, lol.

Worst laundromat in the East Village. The attendant will tell you there is hot water when in reality the hot wash is always cold. I suspect Boris, the owner, of skimping on the hot water because he believes his customers do not notice.

Convenient Text to schedule On-demand pickup/delivery which I like to use. The service is exceptional every time.Used to travel 8 blocks to drop off my laundry here. Now that they offer Pickup/Delivery I use that service. There are at least 2 other laundromats between where I live and Gentle Wash Laundromat but the service I get is unbeatable!

I recently moved into the East Village and saw other good reviews on Google, so I decided to give the delivery service a try. They are extremely nice and helpful, and respond very quickly to all of my questions and requests over text. My clothes are picked up in the morning and dropped off later the same day at my apartment, right at the time I scheduled. The clothes come back clean and neatly folded - would definitely recommend to anyone in the neighborhood!

Within minutes of sending a request I was immediately answered and within the hour they had someone come pick up my laundry. Avoid Gentle wash laundromat . I came in at 640pm to wash my nursing uniforms . the 2 ladies working there was rude and told me they were closed. I said the sign say 8pm on the door . They still did not allowed me to wash. Very poor customer service at this location. I do not recommend them.

There is no shortage of laundromats in the east village but the reason I only use Gentle Wash Laundromat is because the place is always spotless. I never have to worry that my clothes will come out dirtier than when I put them into the machine (which has happened to me more than once at other laundromats). The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the machines are large and ample (I dont remember having to wait for a washer and dryer in the 3 years since I started using them).They run a great operation, all smiles and good vibes and the free wifi (which is always working) is a nice touch.

This laundromat is the BEST in the East Village! I tried several different laundromats when I first moved to the neighborhood 2 years ago and this one is the best by far!! I walk 6 blocks to get there and its 100% worth it. Its very clean inside and the staff is incredibly friendly. Theres plenty of space, tables and free wifi with plenty of machines if you want to stay and wait for your laundry to be done (it saved me in grad school) but now that Im working full time, Ive fallen in love with their wash and fold and delivery services.Everything has been perfectly cleaned and taken care of every time. Ive never lost any of my belongings and everything comes back nicely folded. Its so easy to schedule pick-up and drop-off times (through a text!). They even will hang dry items if they notice theyre more delicate in your laundry bag. Im so so happy with their service!

I am spoiled by the quality wash and fold service with these guys! I used to drop off a bag every week in the morning and it was ready for evening pickup! I can chose organic soap and natural softener to be used with my laundry. They have variety of different soaps and detergents available in store! I just used their on demand pickup and delivery service and I was amazed how quickly and precise the service was! They are always gentle with my delicates and do really hang dry them if asked. They follow instructions very carefully and it shows. A+++++++ for this place and the quality they put in!!!

One of the best, cleanest, and most courteous laundromats in the neighborhood (if not THE best).My favorite feature, compared to other spots nearby, is the drop-off counter at the front of the establishment. Never realized how something small like the convenient placement of the counter in front instead of all the way in the back can make such a big difference when I need to drop and go.Well lit, machines always in excellent working order, plenty of chairs to sit while you wait, free WiFi, and other amenities. I’ve actually parked myself in here for a couple of hours to work while catching up on doing loads of laundry after a few busy weeks.

In the past, the other Laundromats I used charged a fee for same day service, NOT THIS ONE! Staff is polite and definitely hard working – I do see it. They just redid the inside front of the store a bit and it looks fresh! I actually asked the owner for ideas for my apartment lol. I am glad the owners are meticulous about appearance of the store! I’ve been using Gentle Wash Laundromat and will continue to do so!

Tried a few laundromats in the area before stepping in to this one. Their drop off service is excellent. New Machines, beautiful folding job, clean place and nice owners! The place has an ATM machine on premises. They hand iron shirts as well for those who need it. My boyfriend uses their shirt service all the time now, which is very reasonably priced. I really like that the folding tables and floors are clean, and they have free WiFi. Snack machine is always well stocked with my favorite goodies. This is a safe neighborhood with no bums in the area by the laundromat. Definitely my to go spot now! Oh, and they are open late, till 11:30 PM which is very convenient for my busy schedule!

Been using Gentle Wash Laundromat for over 2 years for Drop Off Service. One word to describe? AMAZING! I do use them for self service when I have time and I like their clean new machines. I dont see out of service machines really as Erin Irizarry mentioned in the review below... I do see the owners in store and noticeably they are customer-oriented folks.At the end of the day, with rising costs, rents, water, electric/gas bills, I gotta say their prices are very fair and I am all for keeping local businesses in the area to continue to run! Do not go to this place, because they gonna putt your clothes on level high to dryer and they will only wash 20 min quick wash, my all clothes are got really bad never ever coming back here also if you look at the other reviews definitely fake reviews

I was gentley washed!

Previous owner got a lot of slack for taking her job too seriously, but the place ran like clockwork. New owner drops by like a bank robber to collect bags of cash yet never cares to spend any of it to fix the perpetually out of service machines. Past 6 months Ive had better odds in Russian roulette than showing up to find an available large machine that didnt have a please use others sign. Maybe he incorrectly assumes people will just pay double by splitting their loads between smaller machines instead.

Stayed over my girlfriends house and decided to do my laundry. This place has everything. Dropped off at 9 am and came back to pick it up the same day at 5 pm. It was ready and I must say it was pleasant to see quality combined with fast service. I will definitely recommend this service to everyone.

Nice people - good prices on Avenue - open fairly early I think from 7am some nights open til 11:30 pm - its $5.75 for a larger machine that holds about 3 loads - Tide Pods are $1 each and the dryer is 25 ¢ for 5 minutes

I have tried other Laundromats and this is the best by far! I even bring my shirts here and other sensitive material clothes even though there is a Cleaners next door lol.The Laundromat is Clean. The Employees are great. So far, I have received great service. ATM is available inside. The music is always upbeat! Quick Drop off Service turn around – tried both drop off and self-service – loved both but decided to do drop offs in future.My clothes are always clean and they fold amazing. Brought a couple shirts in – ironing is not a problem! I liked doing my own laundry as well but drop off is just so much easier and convenient. I noticed the machines are brand new as well.Over all, I recommend the place and I am a detail oriented clean freak lol.
