Straight to the point They over book themselves and throw you in a room from 30min to an hour telling you they’ll be right with you! The owner or the manager has the worst attitude ever… talk about customer service! I was never late to an appointment and never complained for the wait and gave them the benefits of the double because of what happen with COVID, but the only time I was running late she complained on the phone and was yelling and very rude. She wanted to charge me 60$ For cancelation or cut half the time from my session for coming in late, mind you if I would’ve came in on time I would’ve waited for over 30 min. I had put a down payment down for a new package and they kept that money and never gave it back! They claim to be the cheapest but trust me whatever package they‘lol give you is definitely not worth it. Do you research and you will definitely find a better place that can accommodate your needs.

Like many others, this business took my money for a year’s worth of services and completely ghosted me when the pandemic hit. I’ve been very patient and reached out when I knew businesses could safely reopen and operate. They came up with some phony excuse about their building catching fire... well I work nearby and know this is not the case. It seems like they can’t admit that they could no longer afford Midtown rent after the lockdown, so they had to shut down their most convenient location. I don’t have time to travel to the Gravesend location and don’t feel safe doing so as I would have to take at least 3 subways and one bus, not to mention lose 3 hours of my day just getting there and back. The only reason I decided to go here in the first place was because their manhattan location was within walking distance of me. It has been entirely impossible to get someone on the phone to sort out my issue. I managed to receive one shady and short text from them in August. Otherwise they don’t even really respond to texts. Their website says “24/7 texting” lol this place is so shady and full of lies. Super unprofessional and terrible customer service. I’ve given up and have filed a claim with my bank.

My first appointment went smooth . Got text about shaving and preparation. When arrived to spa everyone is super nice. Place is clean and light. I got an amazing package there 8 sessions for three areas paid only 250$ including taxes. Technician was nice and gentle. It didt hurt at all which was the best part. It was my first time doing laser hair removal. Such amazing investment and affordable deal. They told me I am perfect candidate for LHR. Wait was 10 minutes where they offer you tea and coffee while you wait.

The results are amazing, everything goes fast and they never made me wait a minute. I take away two stars because: first, they try too hard to put you with technicians NOT of your preference regardless of requesting certain person online; second, they literary accused me in DISCRIMINATION for having technician preference. First two sessions regardless of me having technician preference (Liz) and requesting her online, they tried to put me with another technicians. I was annoyed enough on the second session already, then comes the third session on the day when Liz was off and I had to go with another person. When I was in pain and was about to jump out the room, she told me that I know nothing about pain because I NEVER GAVE BIRTH. So, you are not allowed to call anything painful unless you are giving birth. And you are not allowed to have preference on a technician, hair stylist, doctor, favorite grocery shop or whatever because this is discrimination. It’s 2020, nowadays, even children know what is the definition of the word discrimination, stop throwing it in the people’s faces unless you know what it is, make a research.I have 5 more sessions and I will definitely post the final review.

Over the years Ive beent 3 other laser places and had bad experiences because when you buy Groupon deals youre given sub-par treatment and service. The front desk girls are super nice and friendly, they always ask if youd like something to eat or drink, to use the bathroom... The technicians are great, no matter which ones Ive had they continually ask if youre ok, if youre in pain.... thankfully I have a high pain tolerance but certain areas of laser are always more painful. Im just happy the pain is gone as so as the laser is gone. If you buy a Groupon or if you pay full price you are treated the same thats why I love this place and why I keep coming back. If you cant afford full price they do have package deals sometimes throughout the year.

Never got a result after 8 treatments literally nothing, they don’t put it on high level bc they’re scared about ur skin and in the same time so you can add more treatments. Also the people are super rude!

For me one of the best places in New York for laser,prices are reasonable and not expensive at all. I bought the pack for Zone C full Brazilian and only in 2 session I had almost no hair !!!! and in the third session my hair disappeared almost completely. The change was brutal and now I am so happy and grateful for these changes in my hair and all thanks to Thelmas advice on what type of laser and machine I needed.if i recommend it? well 100%Tip go in person before buying something in Groupon!

I had a large dark pigmentation that popped up on my lip. I went there on a Friday evening and they quickly saw me for an evaluation and used the laser right then and there. I did not have an appointment and was in and out within 15 minutes. Within 4 days the pigmentation is almost completely gone and I am highly satisfied with my results. I wish I could post pictures. I will definitely be coming back for other services. Thank you so much!

My tech Thelma is the best! Im doing laser hair removal on my bikini area and saw results after just two sessions! Only reason I don’t give this place 5 stars is because the manager has an attitude issue. I asked to be changed to a different room because they put me in a narrow one where I couldn’t open my legs against a wall and she was having a problem with it and yelling at my tech in front of me about it. Really felt awkward when this happened. If you go here make sure to ask for Thelma.

Came to Cosmed Laser Spa to start laser on my bikini and underarms areas and I can only say my results are amazing after my first session, I’m dark skin and did laser at another place with no results but after Thelma the Technician explained everything and was very honest on my expectations I will definitely continue coming and recommend her to my friends. Not having to shave is the best feeling!

I love this place so much! One thing i can say is that the place is so clean and they use new technology laser machines that give me amazing results. I went to many laser spas but ONLY Cosmed Laser Spa gave me the best results. Before I started coming here my hairs were so thick and noticable, but then when i came to Cosmed Laser Spa all my hair is gone now and i feel happy. I recommend everybody to come to this place, the service is amazing.

I would give this 0 stars for service if I could. This was my first time here and this place is super small. The receptionist wasn’t friendly and definitely did not know how to time-manage the customers. They also only speak in Russian to one another so the customers have no idea what’s going on about their appointment. My appointment was at 3:15pm and I was not seen until 4:15pm (a whole HOUR later.) They were actually going to take another customer first until I spoke up!It’s a shame I bought a one-year unlimited package because I wouldn’t return if it wasn’t for that.Also, they charged $50 for “tax” without explaining in detail the percentage and why it’s $50.AVOID buying the unlimited package. This is definitely the worst place for laser hair removal. Their other reviews must be by fake customers because this place is unprofessional and does not provide food customer service at all.

Nely made me comfortable! She was thorough explaining how I would feel. She explained what was happening in my body at the same time, so I would be okay with how it felt and what it did.Nely made sure I understood I should drink water, eat healthy and expect to feel after the session. The same sorts of things you hear after a massage.All in all, it could not have been a better experience.I will go back and recommend to friends.

I’ve had a great experience so far at CLS! I started off with a Groupon but went on to do more areas with Thelma. The machine they use is great and I started to see results after the second session! Thelma gets all the areas and wants to make sure you’re really getting what you pay for and seeing results quickly. I originally bought Groupon just to see if this laser hair removal actually work, it’s a little weird to buy Groupon for a medical procedure but like I said, just wanted to check it out. They do charge taxes and fees, $75 for me since I bought 1 large and 3 small which I actually didn’t mind paying because their prices are absurd and I was pondering how are they able to afford with their nice set up and services but it makes sense now. Since I am a guy they told me that menzillian was not included on Groupon and that they have another laser for my area which would cost more. So I ended keeping my Groupon for different areas and bought another one for my other area since it is a sensitive area. Point is I finished my package yesterday and I am shocked on my results. I was not expecting this but I am happy with them. My pubic hair was thick and untamable and now it’s almost completely gone and just some thin hairs grow but they did advise me I needed more sessions for it to be completely gone but I am more than pleased with my results. This is a no frills place, they don’t try to up sell you with other things. I appreciate their bluntness. In a place like nyc people are always trying to sale you more and more but not here, they know you have to work, they know you have other plans, but ask them what they recommend and their more than happy to help you. Lastly one of the best things about them and unique is that they text you for rescheduling or making appointments, ASAP, I have a very busy schedule and they have always been accommodating towards me and finding me last minute spots. Through out my sessions, I’ve seen these girls do full body and not even get tipped and I can see their reaction on their face. Treat them good and tip your technicians and they will treat you like your on a pedestal.

Beware this place charges $50 extra for tax and hidden fees. I bought a years laser from Groupon and I didnt even see a mention of these fees while making an appointment online even though they claim it is all over their website. When I was confirming the appt, they mention this fee, which is apparently for baby wipes, aloe vera, makeup remover, sunscreen and etc. I have been to so many different places for a lot of skin, beauty, spa stuff but never heard of a place charging these separately as additional fees. I got refund from groupon. Dont wanna deal with people doing shady things like this.

I purchased a Groupon for laser hair removal, and Elizabeth is my go-to-girl. I adore her, the gal at the front desk is super friendly, and accommodating, the owner is smart and attentive, and most of ALL of I love the results. After my first session of laser was on my underarms, and after ONE session, I never had to shave again. Let me stress: I am very pale skinned girl who has very dark, thick hair - so this is nothing short of a miracle in my eyes. Once I saw how great those results were, I decided to do my legs and Brazilian. I have suffered from strawberry skin and bumps all over my legs due to ingrown hairs, and this has truly been life changing. My legs are silky smooth and it gave me confidence that I didnt know that I was lacking. Go for it!

Im in the process of transitioning and every place ive been to has turned me away or just made me feel watched, i know its weird for people to see people like me sometimes. My first time here from the bubbly receptionist to the laser and supervisor, they were all so friendly and made me feel like a regular person. I orginally bought groupon but upon consultation they had recommended me another machine they use for my back since my hair there is much thicker, so i ended up using my groupon (which they do charge additional fees but its fine i go to alot of hotels and they say the same) and bought something extra from them. Im genuinly shocked how they give these amazing prices and still have such a lovely spa but im not going to complain!P.S- Dont forget to tip ;)

The receptionist was friendly. I got my appointment date mixed up but she was able to fit me in. Groupon buyer beware!! You arent getting “laser” hair removal you get IPL. Im deep brown skin and this isn’t the most effective process. I was told if I wanted the stronger, more effective laser treatment using the Yag laser I could upgrade for $400 extra. I will stick to Bared Monkey who uses YAG laser with your groupon purchase.

I was greeted with a warm and beautiful smile by the receptionist Mango and then Natalie took her time explaining to me the benefits of Dermapen. Thelma then escorted me in for my underarm hair removal and can I tell you that when she was done I was so confused because I didn’t even feel when she started. The procedure was completely painless. I didn’t even feel heat or a zap nothing! I can’t wait for my next session and i even booked my Dermapen Micro-needling session as well. I purchased a group on voucher for this laser spa recently and was really excited to get such a good deal. I’m the last person to write a bad review but this needs to be said so that no one goes through what I had to endure. I went in recently and I must admit this has gotten to be the worst experience of my life. It was awfully painful not to mention I kept telling the lady( Elizabeth) how painful it was and she proceeded on with the same strength stating “it was part of the process and if it doesn’t hurt it won’t remove the hair”. She is a nice woman but it was very unfortunate what her mistake has caused me. I’ve done laser at least 10 times prior to this at different locations and never felt this type of pain. I was in excruciating pain that I could not even wash my hands due to the burns nor lift my arms. When I got home I saw the damage the machine had left on my skin. I was burned in multiple areas including my arms face and underarms. They refunded me my money but it doesn’t change the the scars that will remain.

Worst service ever. Girl at the desk was very nice and very sorry of how the technician was treating me, so rude and so unprofessional. I bough a groupon deal, before having my treatment she asked me for a one time payment, cash to pay less. I asked what was that since it was not matching with the 8.875% of taxes I should have paid. At my question she got nervous and she told me to go to another laser Spa.

Amazing results, no frills. Before finding Cosmed, I had been to a different very well known spa *cough cough Bliss* and spent a ridiculous amount of money for a small laser package that was essentially useless and quite painful. I then visited Cosmed after finding a very reasonable deal online and could not be more happy or thankful. No more ingrowns! I started with a Brazilian package and am so happy with the results that I purchased the full body laser package after. The laser treatment itself is not painful at all compared to my past experience. Natalie and Nailya are experts and really care about the quality of treatment and their relationship with clients. I purchased a Groupon for FAT FREEZE. When I got there, the place was cheesy looking and smelled like food. A eastern European lady immediately tried to convince me to pay the tax and tip and she was trying in very poor English to explain something to me. IT TOOK A WHILE FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND: THEY HAVE A MACHINE WITH only ONE APPLICATOR that works for ONLY 20 minutes, when fat freeze should be 40 minutes. SO they asked me if I want a complete treatment on ONE SIDE of my body and PAY for another GROUPON for the other side, or if I want an INCOMPLETE TREATMENT on both sides of my body, but ONE AFTER THE OTHER, NOT SIMULTANEOUSLY as they only have ONE APPLICATOR. I got upset that I had to be on the subway for so long back and forth for no reason. THE VOUCHER I BOUGHT CLEARLY STATED 2 AREAS OF THE BODY.THIS IS A SCAM!!! Go to BERRYBLONDE SPA if you want a REAL, GOOD treatment.

Manager has an attitude for sure. I’m not happy at all. I’m advised in the middle of my sessions to but a higher package when I have already paid for one. She tells me it’s groupon, not gonna work. I do not see any results.

I did a package of 6 laser hair removal treatments on 3 areas. My treatments never lasted more than 3 minutes. I feel the results were lacking because my appointments were never long enough to be efficient.

I am very upset with the customer service of this company. I purchased a groupon for a different service and the receptionist assured me that I needed to give her the group on number to see the voucher. I asked her repeatedly if it was okay and could it be applied for another service and she said yes and then she told me no that it was impossible. She then goes you need to pay tax and I need your credit card. She didnt address my concern, I know have to contact groupnon to see what they could do and she had the audacity to say there was nothing she could do when she assured me primarily that she could.

Sad to say i read the reviews and saw the negative comments about the lady with the black hair (assuming shes the laser technician) but still wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and try them for myself. WHAT A MISTAKE!! That lady was very rude and abrasive for no reason. The receptionist on the other hand was much more polite and tried to explain their policy to me. I was still gonna give them a try but the more i thought about it I said no way and decided to leave! if she can be so rude.. do I trust her taking care of me? NO!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EVERYTHING! It really can make or break your business

My last appointment at Cosmed laser spa was by farrrr the most incredible experience Ive ever had!! Coming from a guy who is usually more conservative about investing too much time into skin care and beauty enhancement, and what not...the girls at cosmed have truly showed me the importance of loving your skin and how it impacts your appearance and confidence! that day I decided to try the VIORA reaction which was simply a miracle treatment! the little wrinkles on my forehead have disappeared as if they were never there, and it was my first session! If you truly want a deep deep cleansing facial to remove all your blackheads, comedones, and acne, I strongly suggest you ask for Valya!! She is an amazing cosmetologist and has the hands of an angel. She did not rush and made sure to target every pore and angle on my face to absolute perfection using various facial scrubs, steam and professional/sterile techniques and equipment. Cosmed now offers face massage service which i happened to try. let me tell you! worth every sec! It was a very relaxing and the purpose of it was to rejuvinate the skin and circulate proper blood flow and nerve impulses all of which play a role in healthy looking skin! All the girls at Cosmed were very sweet, professional and made me feel at home! Im definetly booking my next appointment! You should too :)

Hands down the BEST place for laser hair removal, facials, and most skin issues that you might have. I have dealth with excessively hairy, acne proned, hyperpigmented skin for years, and i felt hopeless after wasting money at two other laser spas, but then i found Cosmed Laser Spa.I started with full body hair removal and then targeted my face/back acne scars with chemical peels, facials, and dermapen treatments. For the first time, I can wear tank tops, and walk out the house without layers of makeup.I can finally say that after laser hair removal treatments, I am hair free with smooth, clear skin. Cosmed uses the best technology that really works, and they recommend the best treatment plan for your skin type. There arent many places that genuinely care and most of them just want your money, but not this place- they are completely HONEST with the course of treatments you should purchase, and they know what they are doing!
