No nonsense great locksmiths. Just had knives sharpened there. A-1 job done quickly at a super reasonable price. Had tough to copy keys made there a few times before. Worked every time and never had to go back to have them remade. Cheaper than everybody else to boot. How good are they? I live in Brooklyn and go to Manhattan for their services. The super of the co-op I live in thinks they are the best. That says it all.

I have gone to A-Art Locksmiths for a very long time. They have always advised me, and the locks and keys that were made were always without problems. I also sharpen all my kitchen knives there a couple of times a year.

Bring your keys in and hell do them right away--while you wait. Super fast and all keys have fit perfectly so far. Pricing is reasonable as well....

Been going to these guys for 20yrs. BEST locksmith in the world IMHO. Can make keys that others cant. I moved to Queens but still travel there to get my keys made. This place is great.

Called in to say I was sending someone to make copies of keys (45 minute drive) and would need to pay over the phone. When my assistant was there, called to pay for the keys and the guy tells me to F***** wait, hes going on his lunch, and Im going to have to F***** wait. Then he just ups and leaves with my assistant standing outside his store with keys to be copied. What kind of store is this. I hope they go out of business *fast*.

Crooks, plain and simple and it pains me to report it as a neighbor and fellow business owner. One of of our employees called them one frigid morning because the lock was frozen and they couldnt get in. 3 hours later they show up and insist they have to drill the locks out and do so, at which point they want $555! At this point, I get the man on the phone and tell him theres no way were going to pay that amount as Ive never in my life heard of a frozen lock having to be destroyed and replaced. I never said I wouldnt pay anything but he insisted if I wasnt going to pay he would take the new locks out and leave which he did. HERES THE KICKER: he not only took the new lock he had just installed but he STOLE the doors mechanism (the deadbolt part) which I then had to replace (in addition to the locks) using my usual and legit locksmith. We used to go in there all the time to have keys replicated and asides from the utterly indifferent service (its a locksmith who cares right?) they were fine but obviously will never go back now.

Went here to get 2 different keys copied. I was pleased at how quickly they made them, however I got home to realize only one of them works. So, thats annoying.

Said they opened at 0900 I showed up at 0910 when I got there doors still closed and stayed till 0920. When I called at 1000 they had an attitude saying they were there at 0910 and either I could go somewhere else. Went around the the corner. Dont deal with this drama
