@illuminati - the review is absolutely not fake. There is a lot of sketchiness in this industry and its common for doctors to use shill reviewers to make up a rating, but these shills shouldnt be debating actual patient testimonials. this business makes patients sign releases the surgery has met their expectations BEFORE receiving the surgery and after they pay, then ghosts patients following the procedure. it knows it is ripping them off from the get, which is fine. we can all respect a hustle, but be honest and proud of defrauding people. even victims can respect a good scam, but the shill reviews are not respectable.

After having several hair transplant procedures over the years, I decided to pursue another procedure to refine my hairline and to create a more natural look. I conducted thorough research and narrowed my choice to a few leading surgeons. Ultimately, I decided on Dr. Dorin to perform my procedure. I decided on Dr. Dorin because of the positive patient reviews I had seen as well as his many photographic results posted online. I live in California, and while there are many choices here locally, I felt like travelling to NYC to see Dr. Dorin would be worth it. My procedure date was scheduled for Sept. 6.Upon meeting Dr. Dorin, I was reassured that I could achieve a more natural looking result. He explained that because I had depleted my donor area with the older procedures I would have to consider Follicular Unit Extraction, which would enable harvesting of the follicular units without a linear incision. His estimate was to harvest between 500-700 grafts with this technique.Dr. Dorin and his team are quite skilled and make every effort to enhance comfort during the procedure. This was the easiest procedure I have had and not having sutures sure helped. Dr. Dorin and his team were able to harvest and transplant 637 grafts. I was pleased at the number of grafts transplanted considering the quality of my donor area.Overall, I am pleased with what was done and can see that my hairline will have a softer look and better shape in a few months. I am three days post op and have no discomfort whatsoever, which made the travel back to California no problem at all. I look forward to providing an update in a few months.

Thus far GREAT Work. At least to me. That 1 Star review is bs from Reuven Roslyn. Take my word for it. The Doctor is there for sure. Does he have technicians as well? Yes he does. But the doctor does quite a bit as well.My biggest concern was the plug look which I absolutely would have shaved my head bald 👨‍🦲 if that would have happened. I’m very satisfied and if I Didn’t already mention it, I just got my 2nd FUE done on September 27. It’s been a full week and now I have another 4 months to go before I begin to see results.

(1997) I remember seeing a lot of men who had hair transplants looking like a dolls head. One guy at work told me he had a hair transplant. I was amazed on how it looked. I wasnt able to tell. He told me Dr True performed his procedure. I scheduled an appointment in 1997, when it was called Elliott and True. Short story, Im happy and not a soul at work was able to tell not even my partner, barber or the many people who would make fun of my frontal hair loss. I was looking like George Bush SR. I eventually told my barber and he was amazed. My barber pointed at another barber who had a terrible Hair transplantation done by some other doctor. Time has passed and I have lost the none transplanted hair. Im read to see Dr True!!

If you are apprehensive about have this procedure done, this is the place to go.. you will be made to feel at home and relaxed from the minute you arrive..speaking with Dr. Dorin was more like talking to old friend who was more interested in my well being than making a buck.. Truly a class act. While I was being attended to by Gloria and other staff members I felt like I was with my family and was made to feel extremely comfortable and relaxed all while exhibiting extream professionalism . They are a great example of how every company should conduct themselves..Martin Filipponi

I originally chose True and Dorin because it was on TV and despite having a small number of reviews, all of them were stellar (I have since come to be less confident of the authenticity of some of these reviews). I had a consultation where the doctor recommended FUT, and was told that unless I signed up for a procedure a week later, Id have to wait a few months. I wanted to get it ASAP so put down a deposit that day. I didnt see this as a pressure tactic, because it was presented very calmly and I trusted the clinics reputation. Despite making me watch a presentation of great results (which is standard), it never felt like they were salespeople.Things started to go downhill at the procedure. On the day of the procedure, it felt like most of the work was done at the temples and while Dr. Dorin took care of the strip, he wasnt present for most of the actual transplantation process. The actual transplant was done almost entirely by technicians, and I cant remember how much time the doctor was actually in the room for. The actual technicians kept changing so it was difficult for me to keep track of who did what. I had expressed to the doctor that I was not too concerned with the temples and just wanted as much density in the hairline as possible and to reduce the gap between the hairline and hair further back. It felt like a disproportionate amount of work was done on the temples. As I had previously had a failed transplant in Mexico, it was recommended I signed up for an addl blood plasma procedure as well to maximize the growth.I was also told that in addition to the 1500 grafts I had paid for, they were able to harvest about 350 more, which sounded great. All in all, the price was about $10k. I must stress that i would not care about the money or paying above market rates for a great product as this was important to me. I even planned on doing a 2nd procedure. However, when I counted the grafts that weekend, I couldnt count anywhere near 1850 and this is the moment where I started to really worry. A few days later I came back for my cleaning, and was asked to sign a contract before seeing the doctor stating some basic things but also was asked to sign that the procedure met my expectations or that I was satisfied with the result. This was deeply concerning not because I was on painkillers from the procedure as these were low level doses and didnt really impact my cognition that significantly, but because results are not visible for at least 5 months so how could I sign that it met my expectations 3 days later and why was this shoved into the middle of a contract so that I may not even see it? This was the moment where a feeling of dread started sinking in - where I started asking myself, how was I so naive? The follow up care in the weeks following the procedure was great and eased some of my concerns. The issues started coming when there was very little growth. I could generally only get in touch with the patient rep and not the doctor, which was only an issue when the feedback I got from both didnt match. The rep said I may need to wait up to 2 years, the doctor said at 6.5 months, it was basically done and unfortunately he seems to have been right. There was very little growth (in my estimation nowhere near the planted 2000-2500 hairs grew). I was then told this was A+ work and I should be happy. Either this is dishonest or minimal growth does represent the clinics best work product, which I doubt is true as I do believe this doctor is talented. This doctor is clearly head and shoulders above the doctor I saw in Mexico, but that doctor was ridiculously cheap and objectively incompetent and shouldnt be the standard against which top doctors are judged. Here, based on price and the small amount of reviews I could find, I thought I was procuring the services of one of the best HT doctors in the industry. When Ive showed my results to others in the hair loss industry outside of this clinic, Ive been told things I wont repeat here but contributed to my feeling obligated to share this review.
