After considering hair restoration for the past five years I struggled to find a surgeon with whom I felt comfortable. Luckily, I found out about BSG and Dr. Rome!From the initial virtual consultation to now (one day post procedure), Dr. Rome and his team have been amazing! They are friendly, supportive, respectful, encouraging, and awesome at this procedure! As a surgeon myself, I didnt just want someone competent in hair restoration. I wanted excellence! Dr. Rome and his team are truly excellent at robotic hair restoration!I had the procedure performed on March 5. I arrived at 7am and we finished around 4pm. Definitely a long day but extra touches like a catered lunch and post procedure upper back/ neck massage helped make the day not only tolerable, but actually enjoyable!Dr. Rome invited me to stop in the next morning before my flight home to check everything and change the dressing.I couldnt be happier with the entire experience and look forward to the final results which Im confident will be awesome!

First time talking to someone about my nascent balding, and the doctor was really engaging an informative, with excellent headside manner. He and his team explained clearly what was happening to my scalp and ran through my options in a very digestible way--without ever making me feel like they were trying to upsell me or get me to sign up for a product or service I didnt need yet (I was nervous about this going in).

I walked in to get my hair did by Justin looking like the Artful Dodger and left looking like John Stamos. Also scored a hot towel face mask with some lavender scented oil to boot. Honestly, the best service and best cut in 5 boroughs! Found my place. My only hesitation with writing such a good review is that I’m scared Justin will get too big and too busy and it’ll be impossible to get another appointment again! ⭐️

First off, the people that work there, are genuinely amazing. From start to finish, their staff is gold. The haircut I got was extremely proper. I was having some neck tightness when I walked in, and the barber noticed, and offered to use one of those electronic massagers on me. It’s the little things like that, that make a place stand out. 10/10

Like many sharing their reviews here, I havent seen the results from my procedure yet. (I actually only got it done yesterday!) But while the experience is still fresh, I wanted to say thank you to a truly incredible team. From Doctor Mariotti to the nurses and staff, to Justin the Amazing, I could not possibly be happier I decided to get this done. In a business which relies so heavily on great customer service meeting medical expertise, they have perfected the art of being clear and kind, honest and generous, and never letting you feel like youre in any hands but the very best. I CANNOT RECOMMEND BSG HIGHLY ENOUGH! (I will be coming back many more times to get my hair cut by Justin, too.)

I received a 2-zone transplant procedure with Dr. Rome and his team back in May 2020. Although it is still too early to see full results, I have begun to notice the initial stages of regrowth in the areas they worked on. While I am eagerly awaiting the full outcome, I would like to comment on the procedure, itself. Dr. Rome and his staff were kind, professional, and accommodating throughout the entire day. They take their time preparing for the procedure, ensuring the patient is aware of every step they are taking, and making fully sure that you are happy with the proposed hairline before beginning the real work. As the recipient sites were made, I was completely unaware of any sensation, other than slight pressure. This means absolutely no pain. As Dr. Rome worked, his staff offered to put the T.V. on to entertain me as the procedure was carried out. The work Dr. Rome was carrying out was so unobtrusive, though, that I found I preferred to watch the work being done, instead! From the recipient sites, to the robotic extraction, to the final placement of grafts, every step of the procedure was smooth, seamless, and even relaxing. I actually found myself dozing off a couple of times during the ARTAS extractions. The team is constantly checking with you to ensure your comfort, whether that means taking a bathroom break, needing a glass of water, pain management, or just needing time to stretch your legs. For lunch, I was given a tablet from which to choose any restaurant in the area. The team provided the lunch, and it was brought in to me about halfway through the day. I ended up ordering some sushi rolls. At the end of the day, I was bandaged up, and given a care package to take home with me. Dr. Rome sat down and discussed expectations and proper care. Before leaving, I made mention of wanting a coffee, since I had not had any that morning. Dr. Rome, himself, made me a cup from their in-house coffee station, and sent me on my way. After arriving home, I found myself waiting for the pain to become noticeable as the lidocaine wore off. Despite hours passing, I found that my worries were unwarranted, as there was absolutely no pain to report, even into the night. Care and maintenance were relatively easy, with the most difficult aspect being the need to remember to not scratch your head for a few days. Of the whole procedure, I can honestly say that the hardest part is now having to wait for the results to come in. Give Dr. Rome and his team a look, if youre thinking of investing in a restoration procedure. You wont be disappointed!

If you arent happy with your hair, you need to come here ASAP! I had scalp camouflage done over 3 sessions, and could not be happier with the end result! Dr. Rome and Greg did a digital consult with me which was incredibly easy, they took the time to explain all the benefits/risks/cost options and went through the whole procedure with me from start to finish. When scheduling, their concierge Joseph was so friendly and helpful and they sent me email/text reminders for appointments in addition to phone calls which I really liked. He was also so kind, frequently offering me water/cold brew/whiskey and checking in if I needed anything while I was there.As for the actual procedure, Rodney was AMAZING. Such a nice man with over 20 years of experience in hair loss/transplant/camouflage he took the time to explain how he does everything and walked me through the process in real time. He checked in with me a lot and made sure I wasnt uncomfortable and took breaks if I needed them. There is a huge TV with all streaming options available, which was nice for longer sessions to keep me occupied. Rodney always made sure I was happy and smiling with the end result of the session and I always was.Before coming here I was trying to hide my scalp, using tinted products and had to fuss with my hair a lot and was so self conscious but now I feel great from the minute I wake up, and I dont have to do any extra work!Their SoHo location is easily accessible from the subway, clean, professional, and very welcoming.

My experience with Barber Surgeons Guild, Dr. Rome and Greg has been nothing but fantastic so far.I met with Dr.Rome and Greg to in March of 2020. As someone who was experiencing hair loss in their Mid-20s it was always on my mind and taking over my life After discussing my options with them, I decided to get ahead with the full hair transplant.I came back to BSG in mid-May for my procedure with a PRP session. My experience on this day and during the procedure couldnt have gone better or smoother. They walked me through each step of the lengthy procedure and told me exactly what was going to happen each step of the way and provided me lunch and drinks all day. There was virtually no pain even from the initial numbing shots which you would assume would be the worst part. Post-procedure I could even Uber myself home and the week of recovery flew by.As of now, I am only 5 month post-op so it is still a little early to see any real progress and to be honest I can be impatient at times and I just want to see my full results already! The guys at BSG were honest though, they tell you straight up its going to take a year to see your full results which is understandable but can be challenging at times. However, when I look in the mirror I can see where my hair is going to fill in and there are a few small hairs starting to grow in the spots that are supposed to fill in.I can also tell my hair is much thicker since I have been on the Finastride that Dr. Rome prescribed me 7 months ago and have zero side effects taking it.For anyone whos interesting in getting their hair back, I would 100 percent setting up a meeting with BSG you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain, literally.

I heard from a friend in LA that they opened up a NYC location in SoHo. His hair always looks good and I needed a cut, so I gave them a try. It was excellent! Dylan was a true pro and my hair looked awesome when walked out of there.Also, its super nice inside! Got a free cold brew and had it been later in the day I wouldve taken them up on a whiskey or beer!

BSG was awesome. They were fun and pleasant, yet extremely professional. The shop is exceptional, the barbers are top tier, and Dr. Rome is ahead of the game. I would recommended Barber Surgeon Guild with my highest regard. I look and feel better than ever.

Beautifully designed barber shop with unique mens Medispa options with a focus on robotic hair restoration. Everyone in the shop is super nice and there is a complimentary whisky bar and beer keg! The barbers are top notch. I got my hair cut by Justin, and he spent a ton of time with me perfecting the cut. Highly recommend the barber services, and will definitely come back for the medical offerings!

Yall need to give Zach from the Try Guys his money back!!!! Its not fair that he got terrible results during the timeframe that he shouldve had a fully healed hairline. Messed up!!! We see yall!!

After 20 years of dealing with hairloss and researching about transplant procedures, BSG stood out to me. They are very transparent about what they do. I was already informed through my years of reading about the realities of hair transplants and its effectiveness. A friend introduced me to one of their videos on YouTube (search Dr Justin Rome try guys mike and find 2 videos). My consultations with him corroborated my attitude about hair transplants which involved natural looking aesthetics (which Dr Rome shown a genuine passion for), conservatively being mindful not to over-harvest donor hair and keeping existing healthy hair. They have a realistic plan. It took 2 consultations for me because they wanted to make sure the plan will work well (for me). There was no pressure nor did it feel transactional. With everything I understood for 2 decades and along with their consultation, I confidently went through the procedure a month later and completely trusted him, Rodney, and the rest of the staff. Rodney who is the technician handling the extraction and graft transplants along with the assistants were champs at this very tedious and meticulous process. They were professional and comforting during the procedure. Keep in mind the ARTAS robot is just a tool albeit very sophisticated . Its there to make it easier for the skilled professionals to do their jobs. They have been doing this for a long time.Equally, the office staff are wonderful. They handle the finance, prescriptions, any questions, etc very well and quickly to reduce my stress. Extremely friendly and receptive. BSG clinical rooms are very clean. BSG also have excellent professional barbers there to help the transition with your hair before and after the procedure if needed. They take in regular hair/beard customers as well.
