I have been going to Max Wax well over ten yrs. I refuse to go anywhere else as I love the service and the cleanliness which is very important to me. All the technicians are fabulous and its always a great experience.

Ive been a loyal customer to this location well over 10 years and I must say that I’m extremely disappointed. The customer service of the technician has declined terribly and the quality of the work is poor which is completely unacceptable compared to the price the services cost. In over 10 years theres no special reward or discounts and the customer’s loyalty is not recognized or appreciated. They do have a reward stamp card but when its time to redeem it they have a million stipulations and it’s very restricting. I must say that during the times we are facing its best to take your business elsewhere and Groupon offers same service from business that have better overall quality and employees that are eager to showcase their work and are inviting and welcoming. With this said, I finally parted ways from this business.

I was a first time waxer. Yikes, so scared. I was sweating and my mouth was dry. My cousin recommended Max Wax to me. The girl at the front desk asked me if it was my first time to get a wax. Maybe I looked terrified. Anyway, she made sure to tell the lady (her name was Barbara) who was going to wax me that I was new to this whole business. Barbara was nice. She really took her time doing my wax and asked me several times if everything was okay. It was over before I knew it and it was awesome. It really didnt hurt that much and my skin was fine. Ive been back a few times since my first wax and its always been great. The prices are fair and the employees are nice and professional.

Very good experience. Was pleasantly greeted after walking in which continued through out the experience. The facility is in a great location, was clean, comfortable and organized. Do recommend.

So youre a middle aged guy and all of a sudden you notice that there seems to be hair growing out of your ears - not good. Never waxed before but these ears have to be dealt with. Got an appointment and maxwax rocked it out - didnt take even 5 minutes, didnt hurt at all and looks perfect. Great shop, great service, I know Ill be back.

Maxwax was the first all-waxing salon in NYC -- over 11 years ago! These days there are a lot of all-waxing salons, but Maxwax remains the best. You have a choice of wax (with strips or without) and the same waxers have been there for years. You are guaranteed to have your wax performed by a licensed, experienced professional. There is no training that takes place on clients. There are no free waxes for people who are willing to let trainees wax them. Its a professional, follow the rules, charge a fair price, small, local business in NYC. Support local business!
