Big shout out to Mendez boxing gym for providing a fun interactive experience for me and my family. We took the time to try out the 1:1 training and left with exhilarated energy. Will go back. Room was filled with folks from all walks of life. Prices are affordable.

Train with Champions likeJoey Gamache and Christophe Mendy. Cheaper than a shrink and twice as effective.

Probably the biggest scam of a gym I’ve ever had the displeasure of attending; was attending this “gym” for 7 months and everyone including the “coaches” care for nothing beyond grabbing your cash and making you do the usual heavy-bag and pad routine.Would bleed about $200 from my own wallet and willing to face insurmountable odds as a novice aspiring boxer as well as the snark and attempted ridicule of some of the trainers. If it wasn’t a remark about my heritage (from the UK) or less than ideal form, I’d still be in the wrong to stand up for myself or ask for help, given that the $200 (and later on $100 for ONE PRIVATE SESSION and an extra $500 with another “renown” trainer) that I was paying them was clearly insufficient😂👍🏾Absolute DISGRACE of a “Boxing Gym”, and I’ll never forgive the pathetic treatment and waste of what could have been over half a years worth of TRUE quality boxing training elsewhere!

Recently joined Mendez Boxing as I love the sport and the workouts are never boring. While this is a real boxing gym, everyone is respectful of your level of skill. Theres great diversity here including top notch boxers and novices like myself. The trainers are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I visited a few of the shiny, new boxing gyms and quickly realized the benefits (and results) Id see from joining Mendez boxing given the trainers and the overall friendly environment.

Mendez boxing has given me the best fitness experience in my life. The people at Mendez Boxing are what make this gym such a special place. They are serious about no-nonsense fitness but keep a family oriented vibe at all times. Trainers are all about helping people push beyond their limits and achieving their fitness goals no matter what level they are on. The owner is friendly, approachable and cares deeply about his establishment and the members. I absolutely love this gym and recommend it to anyone.

GREAT atmosphere, plenty of room. Whenever I travel always look for a Gym to work. Had a nice conversation with trainer Harry who sparred with a hero to myself and millions, Muhammad Ali. Would recommend to anyone who loves the sport.

Best boxing gym in nyc. New Gym with all up to date equipment. Really clean lockers and showers are luxurious. after boxing they have a crossfit trainer that helps you exercise. Same old school gym attitude with blood, sweat and tears. def learn boxing here for sure. Group classes involve pad workouts

You should sign up if you have the cash and plan on working out by yourself. They have good equipment. Thats the only good thing. The extra 100$ for a trainer will only get you 10 min of padwork after your first week when you have already paid for it. Literally that is it. The extra 100$ is absolutely not worth it. I know, I came to this gym for around 9-10 months. And this is 100% not a gym to come to if you plan on competing, or even just have regular sparring. Its very much a white collar gym, where the trainers will seek to train those finance guys and the models that come around over the people that are truly trying to learn the art of boxing. To get real training you need to go to a gym in poorer areas where sparring is abundant and there are real fighters . This is a gym for the white collar folks, stay away if you do not fit that mold especially if you really want to learn. I go to a gym in the South Bronx now and Ive gotten more sparring here in 2 months than I did in 10 months at Mendez

Excellent Gym . Very good Trainers . The only thing is in the morning there are times that, the trainers, they dont pay much attention to the client. But apart that, the gym is very very EXCELLENT 100%💯💯💯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻😃😃😃

Its a favoritism/greed game in this facility. I went to be trained by one of the boxing trainers there and it was more of a touch and go type training they did with me. I paid $200 and wasnt trained correctly, I also noticed that the trainers will work with people that tip them on the side ;and if youre paying $200 a month to be trained why I gotta give you more money to do the job Im paying you to do in the first place? White privilege is real in this gym.

For the very little training they give you it isn’t worth 200 bucks at all you are pretty much doing three rounds of jump rope and then three rounds shadow boxing the only time the coaches ever train with you is when they hold the bag for you for three rounds don’t go here if you are thinking you are going to be able to spar and what not this is not the case not worth the 200
