Never do business with the owner, Ariel Rosenberg. Last December the dorm was closed for maintenance and all the tenants were displaced, including my daughter. Mr. Rosenberg refunded SOME of the money, since he requires pre-payment. However, here it is, a year later and we still haven’t received our money back, despite his empty promises. He’s a shady business owner.
Love the decorations! Love the rooms! Love the girls. I was so nervous as I am very shy, but the girls really welcomed me and showed me around the neighborhood. The RA was also super helpful and was always quick to text me back even when I got locked out once at 3AM!
I would recommend Pink Dorms for those looking to be in the center of the NYC action! I loved living in the east village and really felt at home even though I was only there for 4 months. Pink Dorms was cozy and had everything I needed furnished and ready for me when I moved in. The walk up is definitely quite the hike if you live on the 4th floor like I did, but I loved the workout and definitely reaped results haha. If I ever come back for school though, I would definitely request one of the lower floors!
The Pink Dorms is absolutely disgusting!!! If I could I wouldn’t even give them 1 star. There were sooo many things wrong with my room that took FOREVER to get fixed. From the day I moved in up until about a month after I had been there I had no bathroom light. Then my wifi, 3 of my outlets, and my AC didn’t work for about 3 weeks! Not to mention the the bugs I found all over my room this morning. And the room was just overall very dirty, falling apart, and dusty. My room definitely looked NOTHING like the pictures they have online. And if anything is ever wrong with your room the landlord takes forever to get it fixed. Overall I hate the Pink Dorms and would not recommend to anyone.
The land lord is nice but I would not recommend this place. First of all, there is a gyro place attached to the building and the result is a horrible smell every single day as well as random people in and out of the building all the time. I lived in the Pink dorms from January to May and it was so hot by the middle of April that I was sweating just laying in bed and the land lord would not turn the A/C on. I would have gladly opened a window except it was broken and the view outside was a pile of trash. The location is ideal as it is right next to union square station but I would not live here again.
Amazing location! Lovely cute rooms!
