I love the agency but too many districts are way too far. The agency says that punctuality is important, but most of the areas are difficult in finding. I also dont like when they send a position at 9 a.m., need you somewhere at 10 a.m., and it takes over an hour to get there. I wish I could get more positions near me.

They sent me an email stating that I got offered the job, never spoke with with me on the phone and just told me via email to go to a random location near the airport for orientation tomorrow. I tried to call numerous time, called the company, the recruiter and the recruiters supervisor. No one picked up except the receptionist. Dont waste your time. I dont feel comfortable working for any facility I cant even speak to at least once.

I went on a job interview with one of their clients rather I say her client because the associate thought she owned the company and the nurses, and the client said I appeared on drugs granted I am on prescription medication that affects my behavior granted the associate went with it although I have never met this woman face to face and this was my first interview with them. Granted I cried my eyes out and contemplated suicide. This company has no compassion for ill people of any kind and should be placed out of business for their lack of compassion, presumptuousness, and cruelty. I would list the woman’s name but her name gives me PTSD over the whole ordeal.

I had a really great experience working with one of the staff from this organization. As a job seeker, I highly recommend Natasha OConnell. After having completed a few phone interviews and or first round in person interviews on my own, I was struggling to get past the first round. When I would finish my interview, I would walk away with a lack of confidence. I would often have that feeling as though the interviewer was not being genuine in their responses to how I answered their interview questions.Usually when the interview is not going well and at the same time the interviewer wants to come across as pleasant, they only respond with one-word answers:GreatAwesomeSuper.......They also have a deflating balloon tone in their voice when they give you these one word answers, so you just know your interviewer is being FAKE!!I bet some of you are giggling to your self right now because you have been there. After staying in constant communication for over three months with Madeline Torres (lead recruiter) and Gina Garcia about a position with the United Federation of Teachers, one of the two sent the interview confirmation to an incorrect email address, so I never received it. When I called to inquire about it, Gina Garcia instantly blamed me, argued with me and said me I gave them the incorrect email address (we’ve been communicating via email and phone up until this point), once she realized they never actually sent it to me, she simply told me “she’ll see if the company will still interview with me”. Gina Garcia never even acknowledged her mistake or apologized for it and I’ve never heard from the company again. After three months of going through the process and getting my hopes up for it to just be snatched away for no reason at all is quite hurtful and unfair especially at a time like this. Shame on you.

Very UNPROFESSIONAL. They’re hiring people and giving them inaccurate information! I went to an interview at a hospital(during Covid-19) I was told by the employer that this company keeps telling people the wrong information to get them to work. Once I accepted the offer they changed the pay rate stating there were changes when in fact, it was all a lie to get me to work in the hospital. Her name is Cristina Cruz, just be careful with risking your lives at a time like this. And I will continue to write this review because it isn’t right for the people like me who wants to actually help while I am trying to survive.

So many loop holes that are not covered prior to bringing a candidate on board.One, they never stated I would then have to go through a selection/evaluation(?) process after the application is submitted to ensure I am a good fit for the position. They also have you paying prior to even selecting you, which makes the Company look questionable (scam?). Lastly all this red tape; something always has to be adjusted. Make the process easier if you want to have people join you, not only that be supportive.

She always negotiates the best remuneration rate and stays in touch even if she had no immediate assignment. I have been dealing with Tempositions for years with no problems. My current employer who I have been with almost 4 years was assigned to me by tempositions. This agency will do what they can for you but you have to call and ensure availability not always waiting on them to call.

This company is horrible!! I’ve had the worst experience working with Tempositions. Every single person in that office are very rude, from the receptionists to the supervisors . None of them do not want to assist or give work. When you call your assigned rep they are never at their desk and never gets back to you after leaving a memo taken from a very disgusting woman. Please be aware of predatory business practices. School Professionals is a temp agency that places substitute teachers in available positions. To qualify with this company, one must endure several time commitments (an interview, fingerprinting, transport, a 3 hour online test / information session), as well as pay $125 for NYC fingerprinting. Over the course of three months, actively accepting available jobs, I was only assigned one position. The lack of available work led me to believe that this company employs more people than they have available jobs. If you are looking for a way to start working immediately, this is NOT a viable option. I invested more time clicking on positions to accept than I spent getting paid for my work.

Not sure why people are saying there isnt work. There is PLENTY of work. Problem is its all over nyc. One day you can be in harlem, next is coney island. The commute demands are rough, and the hours can be as long as 7-4 on top of that. Its better to just sub for the doe...because a lot of the schools i was sent to were out of control and i felt very unsafe. One 3rd grade student was punching the wall around me and trying to run out of the class.

Terrible. I signed up to join this staffing firm several months ago and its now October amd I have not gotten even a phone call. They made me sign and fill out so much information on their computer system in what felt like an hour. And since then, nothing. No calls, no e-mails, no nothing. Just a waste of time. Dont bother with them.

Have masters degree, am bilingual, also am a certified teacher just having to sub for now. The place in Miami center had me wait almosta.onth even after I completed all of my new hire ppw. I paid almost $100 for fingerprints and they ever followed up with a call back to starting getting assignments. This is highly unprofessional and predatory. Yo say the least. They put you through this rigorous substitute hiring process simply to be a sub..save your time and go through the schools website indepe dently to become a substitute.

If youre looking for a professional company that is consistent then look else where. Once enrolled you can go from weeks to months to ever being offered an assignment. This place is totally disgusting. The front desk receptionist are very rude. I couldnt believe the conversation that was being held out in the open by the employees. They have no sense of empathy and they ridicule the candidates in front of their faces with other employees. I would never refer someone to come to this location ever again. This is a joke, embarrassment and very disheartening for anyone looking for work.

This company is terrible.Everything I say in this post is truth and I have proof. Its a fight club between existing temps and new ones that are hired at a lesser rate. When a new temp wants to get hired, they have that temp and staff start attacking you. The attacks are the following: 1) School Professional staff would send you to the most problematic sites. Staff would have kids with severe behavioral problems disrespect or challenge the worker, to have an excuse to end the assignment. Also the school staff will accuse the worker of something, so the worker is forced to work for less pay at other assignments.2)most assignments dont start till 9am but the school would have you come in as early 7am. You will continously get early jobs like this if you live at least 1 hour and 15 min away. And you cant be late now. I have been sent to LONG ISLAND, QUEENS Close to the airport, SOUTH BRONX, and i live in brooklyn (only had 4 assignments in bklyn during the 6 months).3)the schools or the staff giving you assignments would want you to sleep with individuals to keep your job. i met a guy from east brooklyn on the subway.i didnt give him my number, by i took his. The next day SCHOOL PROFESSIONALS sent me a job in east brooklyn for 2 days. I clicked on the job within seconds, but it was already taken. I guess it could have been mines had i given my number. the job was sent on sunday, fired tuesday.4)none of the long term work assignments given last till the end. unless your a relative or friend of a school professional staff or your sleeping around for it. Example: i was able to get my assignment extended and the worksite to pay me more money. I asked for more money because I was not given a 30 min break and my prep was used to help the teacher grade essays and test, sharpen pencils, and do bullentin boards. All of a sudden, day 2 of my increased salary assignment,a fight breaks out in the classroom. Now the lil girl was problematic but normally would sit in her assigned seat and just stayed quiet. But this day one of the other teachers was out, just me and the teacher was in the classroom. This day she came in sat in another seat, next to another student that could get problematic, and refused to get up. Both I and the teacher talked to her nicely, bent down to her to speak her, but she still refuse. Then the lil girl started attacking the girl sitting behind her. Me and the teacher broke up the fight.then all of I get a call from school professional saying i said all of this stuff to the teacher and was put on 30 day probation. Again my assignment was extended with increased my pay, how it get so bad so quickly?was it that the teacher didnt need me after grading her quarterly ELA test that she descibed as tetious? Was it that i demanded more money for not receiving a 30 min lunch break?5) they help traffick workers to other countries. Because why were they being pressured to fire me? was it to force me to work over seas? The last assignment, the worksite complained that I refered to a student as being muslim. A student came to me and ask could he go to the bathroom. I said the muslim girl just went and you have to wait until she comes back. Mind you I did not receive a roster of student names.The school staff said I upsetted another student by saying another student was muslim. I had to explain to the student the reason why people wear a hijab is TO BE IDENTIFIED AS MUSLIM. It isnt a shame, its something to be proud of. And I identified her as such, so he knew who to look out for, in order to go to the bathroom when the person returned. 6) there is so much more but it would be a book. Work here if you got the skills and the support of the community, to get people fired. I didnt have that support so they basically used me to throw there trash on me and I cant even get a reference. Its not what you do, its where you live and who you know.Excuse for any typos and grammatical errors. I just needed to vent because I have no one to help me overcome what these employers have been doing to me.

Impressed with this agency! You can choose the school and they day you want to work and there is an abundance of opportunities.

I think the company is great because we are able to do charter schools and upk. The reason why I gave it 3 stars is because it is not fair that these schools can cancel last minute. I feel that is not fair if you take a job and they cancel the morning of when you on your way to go there. I feel that they should have consequences the same way subsitute teachers in the company has consequences if we call out last minute. I also feel like the prices need to increase because we work long hours for $100 and that is not enough. As minimum wage increase I feel the position for teacher should raise.

I have been working for Tempositions Health for about 4 months now and I like the assignments that I have been able to work. I have been able to obtain steady shifts, and enjoy the work I am offered. I also enjoy working with the staff at job sites, as well as, the other employees at Tempositions I frequently work with at job sites. I hope my experience working for Tempositions continues to improve in the future.

Tempositions needs to do a better job in posting jobs in their job bank. If they have jobs available, they should be posting them on a weekly basis not once or twice a month. I understand that the economy is still recovering and not everyone based upon their job profile will be suitable for all jobs, but there should be more consistency.

I’m leaving an anonymous review. I would of given them five stars but I feel that this agency is very unfair. Yes they do set you up to work so if u are looking for work temp this is a good agency. How ever I been with the agency for almost 5 years now and they do not show aperciation to there employees. They do give out prizes such as gift cards and metro cards, electronics. But they seem to forget it’s the little things that count. I’m constantly being requested to work for this one school I love and not once have they aperciated that and it’s been almost 5 years the same school requests me over and over. The teachers love me through out the school and constantly asking for me back. Now as for the absent policy they will threaten you Time after time if u call out after 5 am. But emergencyies do happen. Even if you do have a doctors note it doesn’t matter to them. They will still threaten to terminate you. What I’m trying to say is i think they should give there employees more respect and acknowledgment when it comes to all the hard work we put it. At the end of it all if it wasn’t for the employees they would not be still standing because the substitutes make them there money. They should really focus on the positive instead the constant threats. Maybe call up the school and ask how the sub has been doing. So they can be given positive feedback. They should focus more on the positive especially with the ones who have been with them for a while. Bottom line if they do happen to terminate some one that has been with them for a while, most likely the school that that person was subbing in for a while will hire them because they love them. So the sub will not be missing out, the agency will loss a good worker over a emergency call out after 5 am . The schools show more apperciation then the agency.

They give you work you need. The only thing is that the pay is not enough for teacher position, its the same rate as in other states where the living expenses are much lower than in NY.
