The whole interview process was a nightmare. Nobody returns your calls AT ALL. I got placed but it had to end extremely early and NOBODY at creative circle bothered to contact me about it.Your better off on Indeed, LinkedIn and trying other agencies. I really do not wish the inconvenience I am dealing with on anybody.
I didn’t have the same experience as most of these reviews. I use creative circle as a digital strategist and have gotten good responses. I’ve also been able to work for great companies that I likely would t have landed without the help of a recruited. I’ve been using them for the past 4-5 years whenever needed to look for employment. I’d recommend them for sure!
I was working for a company in Manhattan for two years and unfortunately I had to leave my position before they sold the company or went out of business. I met with creative Circle for an interview and was given the most rude interview I’ve ever had because one of my portfolio pieces was from a punk rock band and she said “she knows what those lyrics mean” even though the lyrics are about science-fiction and aliens *rolls eyes*. They’ then looked at my portfolio work and said that it didnt “vary” enough and to call them back when I fix it. After I fixed it they just never said that I changed it even though I overhauled it and even uploaded a completely new website. Then I called back and they put me on an email list which I’ve been using on and off for literally over four years and I’ve never even been given one interview with a client yet I have had way more success by paying for a craigslist ad and freelancing for myself. They are unprofessional and just send spam mail and I’m not the only one who has the same opinion I wouldn’t even bother. just work for yourself and post your own listings online.
For everyone looking for work, this is definitely not the agency who will help you. They will definitely spam you with emails, but not actually get you an interview (yes - sometimes you are not qualified, but these guys dont even put in the effort of bringing qualified individuals in). I am so thankful that i am not looking for a position, but when I was looking for one - these guys were ZERO help - just a waste of time. Most of the girls who work at the Manhattan office just bring you in for an interview as to Check the Box initiative.
I sent them my resume over 10 years ago. They got terrible reviews then. They call you and when you call back its; #1 no one answers, #2 if someone (receptionist) answers they tell you the person (real?) is busy #3 Asked for voicemail, incredibly no such thing there? I think they just collect resumes for tax purposes. Dont ever use them.
Stay away. I connected with them and responded to endless postings. I called a few times and was told the person who was assigned to me (recruiter) had left the company. They kept having me respond to job listings for months and each time a different person gave me fiction. Please do not waste your time.
Scam. I applied to numerous jobs with creative circle, and most times they would never respond. I did finally get a week long contract gig with them, where I learned that they were charging the client DOUBLE what I was being paid for the role, and the job description they had sold me on did not match at all what this client expected me to do.Any work done for their clients you wont be allowed to include in your portfolio. They will ask for your social security number despite having no positions for you. They will send your resume out to clients without asking your permission, and if you apply there on your own and get an interview with that company they will demand fee claiming it was their work. They will not pay you on time for any number of reasons, and worst of all will contact your existing client references and try to steal them.
Was able to be placed very quickly. The staff is very friendly and I am constantly getting offers to submit my resume. Sometimes is difficult getting face-to-face time or a phone call with your assigned recruiter, but their results make up for that. Their process is fast-paced so be prepared for interviews.
Dont even waste your time going in for a Meeting with them as they collect all your personal information and try to swindle you into freelancing and their mediocre health coverage. This is the most ridiculous recruiting agency Ive been with and Ive been with quite a few in NYC. Theyre a complete joke, agency ran by kids and automated emails (which they cant even be bothered to reply to). Save yourself the time and just look for a job yourself or with an agency that ACTUALLY CARES AND TRIES for their talent.
Top-notch agency for creatives. They have an interview process that catalogs your skills, and send you regular job listings that fit you. I was sent to a company that for a gig that was a great fit for me, and have had good communications with CC personnel throughout.
Waste of time and energy, don’t bother
Stood up for a phone call with a recruiter named Bedan Shaarub, and he ghosted my follow up.
This company never helped me with any job opportunity. Total scam and waste of time. Dont subscribe to their emails, and flag any posting you see from this company. Would give negative stars if I could.
