Been working at Solomon Page since before the Pandemic in NYC. I must up to this point I have no complaints about the company, its employees, or the jobs they provide. In my time knowing Solomon Page I have had a successful and enjoyable experience with the jobs they have landed for me. They are extremely professional and have a great space when you walk into their offices and are immediately greeted by the front desk.I like that Solomon Page is very well organized in the way they operate and communicate with myself and their other employees. There is a great air of respect amongst the organization and to date have not heard or, met a fellow colleague at Solomon Page whom has been dissatisfied with their services, employees, or work leads. I give it a 15/10 stars.Currently I am working with Carolina Fernandez whom has been sending me some job leads and she is very persistent and does a very good job in her position. I will be rejoining the agency and have accepted my first job/gig back at Rockefeller Plaza a place in midtown that I really love!!!Cheers!!!Christian Morales
The agents here are very professional and really fight for your worth! I would definitely reccommend working with them for a contract position. All their agents are very straight forward.
I was able to get a job within a week! Erica was so helpful and responsive to all my emails. She made sure I was prepared and confident with my interview and followed up appropriately.
They contacted me about a position, I scheduled a call with them and no response. They post multiple ads everyday and even if you meet the qualifications they do not respond to any.....very unprofessional
I am very qualified for many of the positions this company posts online with over 20 years of experience. I have applied to all the positions I am qualified for and NOT ONE phone call or email from them. NO ONE has ever contacted me from this company. Waste of time!!
Do not even bother with these people. A waste of time every single time a recruiter has contacted me from Solomon Page. My last experience with them-- I had a phone interview scheduled and the recruiter did not even call or email me to let me know she was not able to keep the scheduled interview time. She just ghosted. Unprofessional. Please learn calendar management and courtesy. Definitely my last time even entertaining this agency or NYC recruiters in general.
I got placed with a great company due entirely to Leslie. She was friendly and professional. Her help guided me through the interviews and she kept me updated on any changes during the antsy waiting periods.
I can’t thank Bevy enough for all of her help in an interview process for a dream role at a dream company! Living and working in the time of Corona(virus) is difficult enough; but add the daunting task of job hunting and interviewing, and that’ll make anyone anxious. Bevy has been a partner in the process from day one, my personal cheerleader, advocating for me as a prospective candidate for a competitive role. I couldn’t ask for a better recruiter and anyone who is lucky enough to partner with her will quickly learn what it means to have someone see your value and make you feel like you’re the best person for the job!
Debbie awesome recruiter, called her and she answered every time. Definitely going to miss being able to call her now that I have a permanent position where she sent me, but definitely appreciate her guidance throughout the past couple months... You guys definitely rock!
Great working experiences with the gigs theyve provided me and support from the staff when needed.
I’ve been working for Solomon Page and it’s been wonderful, many gratifying and marvelous experiences, I’ve learned so much and keep on learning, improving and expanding.
I had a very good call with Debbie Goldfeder. She was very professional and experienced and offered me some great advice regarding resume writing. She really recognized my diverse experience and I am confident she will place me soon. I look forward to working with Debbie and Solomon Page.
From the moment I started working with Jana, I knew I was in good hands. Super friendly, caring, and fun. Excited to see what comes from Solomon Page!
Howard Hecht reached out to me when I wasnt actively looking for something new. He peaked my interest and in no time at all I had 3 interviews for the position he had available. This Monday August 10th was my first day at a better position with better pay. Thank you Howard.
As a seasoned professional I had the opportunity to deal with numerous recruiters when looking into career changes. Got to the point that I did not want to hear from any of them, sometimes wandering what give then the idea that my background and expetience is a match for a job they want to fill. Was glad to hear from Nick at Solomon, he understands that my and his time are equally valuable and not wasted presenting me opportunities with no relevance. Always transparent and right on point. If the opportunity does not come thru this time I an sure will hear again in the future when some other opportunity comes along. Thanks Nick and Solomon for the respect that you present when approaching candidates...keep up the good work!
Please do not waste your precious time with the agency. Utterly unprofessional. Best of luck to you job seekers !
I found myself unexpectedly in the job market again and I was referred to Solomon Page Agency. They contacted me and asked me to come in for an interview. At the initial meeting I knew they are going to work to find me the best job they could. Solomon Page provide realistic expectations and almost immediately I was getting interviews. If you are professional, set realistic job search expectations and have an open and honest conversation with your recruiter with what you are looking for in a job and an employer you can find the perfect fit. I would absolutely refer someone to Solomon Page!
THE WORST!!! Met with Michael Castillo regarding a position, but because I didnt know how to do one of the functions required on job description, he didnt send my resume, thus wasting my time during the interview. A few days later, Alana wanted me to come in to meet her and several others there. Why didnt you make this effort when I was there previously?? Recently, I received a call from Suzanne regarding a position. I was told the employer liked my resume and wanted to meet with me. Its now been roughly TWO weeks, and I have not been able to reach her. If Im no longer in contention for the position, let me know either via phone, text or email. Dont leave me hanging and avoid all of my calls. Communication between their counselors is the worst, and their professionalism is horrible as well. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Youre better off finding a position on your own.
Best staffing agency ever! Always professional and has great jobs with room for growth. The staff is very nice and they keep a great line of communication. Id recommend them to everyone I know looking for a job.
I have been struggling to find a place of employment for months. However after working with Solomon Page, I found a good job in a matter of a couple of weeks. I would highly recommend seeking them out for their assistance. They were quick, professional, and assisted me every step of the way.
Working with Solomon Page was absolutely wonderful. All the staff are tremendously helpful throughout the process of helping me find employment and our interview went very well. They are determined to do everything for the people they work with. I highly recommend Solomon Page to help match you with an employer you will be proud to work for!!
The Solomon Page Group has truly been a beacon in the darkness for me. Time and time again, they have assisted both me and many of my close associates in finding well-paying and satisfying assignments. Their team is friendly, super efficient, and are constantly available for assistance via phone / email. A personal story that I like to share is I met with them on a Monday (my career is in Film & TV) and I was placed within a top nationally, if not globally recognized entertainment company as an executive assistant on Tuesday. They get things done! I highly recommend this group!
Solomon Page is absolutely one of the best experiences that Ive had when speaking of working with a staffing agency. All the staff was very knowledgeable and attentive. I was offered great advice about myself; even with my resume and ended up helping me get the exact type of job. Thank you.
Robyn T. is a SUPERSTAR recruiter and simply the best in NYC! I met her several years ago when I was looking to switch companies and was very impressed with her tenacity in finding me a new administrative role. Robyn is hard working, personable, and most of all DEDICATED to her clients and candidates. Recently, I started to look for a new Executive Assisant role and immediately contacted Robyn again. Before I knew it, I was actively interviewing with Robyns clients. There are thousands of recruiters out there but Robyn is like finding a pearl in the ocean. If you are seriously looking to work for boutique hedge funds, PE firms or investment banks, send Robyn your resume. She will get you on interviews assuming you have the experience and skills for the role. Dont waste your time with other recruiters who will do just that. Go straight to the best. Thank you, Robyn, for believing in your candidates!
One of the great teams to work with on either side of the fence. As a hiring manager, they have always sought to bring in the right talent and not just talent that fits the title. As a person who has contracted and looked for new opportunities in the past, the team will always be supportive and provide the right feedback in order to get to the place you want to be. Huge props to Jocelyn, Rochelle, Ronnie and Sarah! These ladies work endlessly and professionally to connect the right people and companies.
I have worked with Solomon Page from both sides of the table and they are great. From top to bottom they are sincere and will place you with what best suites your needs and experience. They are honest and tell you upfront if something will work and if it will not with your job history.
Don’t waste your time.
From the moment I walked into Solomon Pages office, the staff were so honest and pleasant with me. I got my first assignment right away as opposed to the other recruiting agencies I signed up with. Alana C. and Ian M. are the best! She worked really hard to get me temporary assignments and I really cannot thank her enough. She was honest and straightforward with me, which seems to be a lost art in this day and age. I signed up with 3 staffing firms before finally signing up with Solomon Page - and I have to say that I am not regretting it to say the least. So, if youre looking for immediate temp or freelance gigs, I would suggest this agency above any other! All the best!
My recruiter was Debra. Too put it nicely she is one of those people that gives recruiters a bad name. She wasted my time by asking me to come in and meet with her and then I never heard from her again, despite following up several times. I have a degree from a great college and several years of experience and have not been offered any opportunities. I dont understand how someone so incompetent has a job and it really reflects on the company as a whole. Dont waste your time with them!
Solomon Page agency have helped me in any aspect they can. Always professional and has great jobs with room for growth. The staffs are genuine and extremely helpful, and the jobs that I have found through this agency have opened many doors for me. I recommend Solomon Page to everyone that I know!
I am skeptical when it comes to temp agencies, but my experience with Solomon Page has been very pleasant. The staff has been very kind in assisting me with not only a job but a career. Thank you very much. Solomon Page has turned my thoughts around, and raised the bar on other staffing agencies.
I cant say enough on how Solomon Page was so supportive in finding me employment. The professionalism and welcoming atmosphere is a bonus on top of the employment offer I received that fit what I needed. Thank you so much for all of your help and understanding.
The reviews on google are spot on! I am so glad I did my research and went to Solomon Page. It is a pleasure to work with a company that shares in my strong work ethic, offers flexibility in assignments, and cares about how we are treated from the commute to work environment. Highly recommended!
I was holding myself back from putting this review out because I don’t like to put out negative reviews, but I know there’s others out there that are unemployed and are on the hunt for a good staffing agency and would benefit from knowing if this agency is good or not. I am HIGHLY disappointed in them. A friend recommended them to me and I regret meeting with them. No one has contacted me with openings at all. I met with them in the summer and it is now almost winter and no one has done anything. I contacted the person assigned to me (Debra) about any possible openings since I hadn’t heard from her and all she replied was “I am looking for you”. They have what seems to be job openings on their website; however, it seems to be used to attract people to their agency. When I met with the recruiter, she didn’t even mention any of the positions I had applied for on their website and till this day no one from their agency has reach out about them. My recommendation is STAY AWAY FROM THIS AGENCY.
I really recommend Solomon Page! My experience from start to finish was exemplary. All the staff are very professional, helpful, encouraging and so positive. Keep it up guys for helping other people!
The staff at Solomon Page was such a great help since day 1. Everyone in there was super helpful and really made me feel like they care to help me. Very Satisfied with the treatment and professionalism of this agency.
All the staff that I have worked with at Solomon Page have been responsible professionals. They were insightful and genuine. They represented Solomon Page quite professionally. I was also quickly matched with employment! I would suggest this to any colleague of mine.
Everyone at Solomon Page was very helpful and polite. Great place to be staffed at. They are concerned about our overall well-being. Very Satisfied with the treatment and professionalism of this agency. I recommend it.
Solomon Page Group is the premiere employment agency in New York City! I am thankful for the many positive experiences I have had with the SPG recruiting team (including Beth Farrell, Jessica Bruckner, Kim Brody and Debbie Kim) and with the select clients I have had the pleasure to serve in various capacities.I am most impressed by the dedication and professionalism of Alana Capone and Marnie Olsen, two women who always get the job done with style and grace. If there is an open door, they will find a way to get me through it because I know they want the best for me always. I cherish the relationship we have built over the years because it is a joy to partner with industry professionals you can trust.I see a great permanent placement in my future and I truly look forward to working with Solomon Page Group until that opportunity comes about.Best,Jordan Nicks
Pretty awful agency. Ive been here twice in recent years, met with two separate recruiters, and never got a single call. Being recently back on the job hunt, I received a few emails regarding coming in. I hesitantly responded to set up a meeting... But apparently they do not answer emails either. How are recruiters such terrible communicators? I will never understand.
Great staff. Very nice & works really fast in placing you with a job. They will help you through the process in a timely manner. Thank you Solomon Page staff you all are the best!
I have nothing but love for Solomon Page. The day I walked into their office I had nothing. I had a terrible resume, very little direction and no professional experience. About the only thing I did have was a suit and the drive to work. They helped me revamp my resume and gave me interview coaching. Then I met Debbie Kim. She made me a promise, Work hard for me and Ill work hard for you.. Debbie helped me build my resume and gain valuable experience. She prepared me for interviews and always listened if I had doubts about a particular job. A few small temp jobs later and I am at a great consulting firm with the possibility of the position becoming permanent. I would not have made it here if it were not for Debbie. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.
The team at Solomon Page Group are not only the nicest people in all of NYC, but they get me GREAT projects. I have been working with them for the past year, and have been fortunate to work several amazing long-term interim assignments. The team is professional, kind, responsive, they care about my interests and needs, the SPG billing system is easy, and payment is quick.I truly cant say enough wonderful things about Solomon Page Group. They gave me a tremendous opportunity and I am forever grateful. If you are thinking of working through an agency for temporary or permanent assignments, you will not find a better team than Solomon Page Group.
Rochelle Rubin is a rockstar, and that does not do justice to the amazing service and pains taking dedication she applies to her work. From our first correspondence I knew she was going to be a great pairing. She had me in interviews less than a day later and championed my case until I attained employment, Monday the next week.It has been 3 months since and till today we have maintained close contact and I refer all my friends in need of work in the creative field to Rochelle, all so far with successful outcomes.Being a recruiter is a calling only few get and of the few, yet fewer flourish at it; Rochelle Rubin at Solomon Page Group is of the select select few that shine as a beacon to all whom are in search to find creatively fulfilling occupation in the modern age and I fully without abashment endorse her services.
I have been working with Solomon Page Group for almost a year and the experience has been wonderful! When I moved back to New York from England last year I immediately contacted all the recruitment agencies in regards to freelance design roles. Solomon Page was the most helpful and quickly placed me with a great company at a competitive rate. I have been with the same company for almost a year now and Solomon Page has helped place me in different departments within the company. My agent, Barbara Tiffen, is genuinely accommodating and friendly. She is easily available via email or telephone. I always receive immediate feedback and constant communication in regards to freelance roles. I have never had any issues receiving my paychecks. I am paid weekly directly into my checking account. All around thumbs up for Solomon Page Group!
I worked with Tara in obtaining a great position in NYC. She went above and beyond for me, unlike anyone I have ever worked with before. You do not always get treated with respect at other recruiting agencies, but Solomon Page is the exception. Tara especially set me up with an awesome interview that matched my skills perfectly. I got the job offer shortly after and could not be happier. I will not be looking for another job anytime soon thankfully, but if I were I would go back to Solomon Page. I suggest you to do the same. Thanks TARA!!!
Love the individual attention and encouragement to find a placement.
Working with Tara at Solomon Page was beyond amazing. She was such a rockstar! When we initially met she truly listened to me and understood what I was looking for (unlike other recruiters I had met with). She helped set me down the right path and within 48 hours I had an interview with my new company. Just three days after meeting with Tara I received my job offer! I honestly dont think any of this would have been possible without Taras hard work and devotion to helping place me in the exact role that suited my personality and experience. Not only did I feel like I had the best professional representation I could find in a recruiter, but she also felt like a friend throughout the process. Tara took time to get to know me as an individual and it is personal touches like this that have and will result in a long lasting working relationship for us.
I have worked with many employment agencys in the past. This has to be one of the worst ever. They send me off to 3 interviews and for each and every one of them they cant contact the company and leave me hanging. They have no feedback and leave me waiting for a response.WILL CORRIGAN and SUZANNE HAVRANEK cant do their jobs and forget about you in an instant.
I began working with Alana Capone at Solomon Page Group back in 2012. During our first meeting, I found her to be nice and pleasant, characteristics we dont normally find in recruiters. Although my work experience was not as extensive as it should have been, she took a chance with me. Other representatives I work with are Beth Farell, Debbie Kim and Michael Castillo. All of them have brought out the best in me and allowed me work assignments that not only kept me consistently employed, but have given me the experience I need to be the best at what I do.When I meet people who are looking for work, I send them to Solomon Page Group. They give people exposure to companies and organizations that may be out of reach. I will forever be thankful for Alana, Beth, Debbie and Michael.
I had the opportunity to work with and train in a position I was offered through Solomon Page. They have provided me with many opportunities to excel. They helped me in many ways while I was a contract employee. The communication is outstanding and I am very appreciative of the mentorship I experienced with Solomon Page. If you are on the job market, this is definitely the place you want to come to.
Solomon Page has been my go to agency for long term NYC assignments. They work with big name companies and they are pretty quick to respond to inquiries. Usually can find something suitable for every level of experience withing a few weeks.
I am surprised at the negative reviews -- especially about Alana and Michael! They are PHENOMENAL!! I met with them via Skype because I was employed at the time I reached out to them. Having met with SO MANY recruiters in the past, I was very limited on my vacation and sick time and had decided to save those for interviews with prospective employers. Michael and Alana were perfect from the start. They never avoided my calls or emails and was even in contact with me during pretty late evening hours (almost 7 PM). I am working with a great company thanks to the Solomon Page Group! Trust me, Ive been working with recruiters from so many different agencies that made empty promises and avoided me. It was very disappointing. If you have experience and you present yourself well, Solomon Page can help. What people fail to realize is that clients are looking for something very specific nowadays. The market is slowly getting better and especially in the major cities (NYC, Greenwich, etc) companies want to see three sometimes up to five different prospective employees before making a decision -- its very competitive! My advice, stay in touch with your recruiter and of they start avoiding you -- move on to another. Make sure you have the necessary skills for the job in which you are interested and the appropriate level of experience. Your resume should be FLAWLESS! Errors on resumes is a huge turnoff because before you are seen in person, you are critiqued based on your resume -- so have multiple people review it for you. Unfortunately, not every agency can facilitate the needs of everyone, but at Solomon Page, they definitely at least try.
Only gave 1 because I couldnt give zero. I thought this was the ideal agency until I turned down a job that was in New Jersey due to the commute and double taxes I would be paying and it was all downhill from there. Alana Capone does her job with her feelings on her sleeve and if she gets an attitude with you she will offer you $10 an hour jobs when she knows you are more qualified, will lie and tell the receptionist she not available or just simply ignore you. Beth Farrell is no different as she does Alanas dirty work to blow people off. Its okay because I have gotten higher paying contract assignments and prominent interviews without her assistance. Agency is full of petty recruiters who need to act more professional.
It was great meeting recruiters who actually care about your future career, and are able to connect you with employers who will bring out the best in a candidate. When I met Beth Farrell and her team at Solomon Page I felt encouraged and I know theyre here to help.
Love this company and everything theyve done for me. Literally have nothing but great things to say. Alana Capone does her job well and Ive been working with her for about 3 years now. Every time I need help shes been there to assist. Among the rest of them who have always called me and tried their very hardest to help during any situation. Have worked numerous temp jobs and landed a position. I would highly recommend this agency to anyone looking for a job. Thank you!!
Ive been a consultant with Solomon Page for sometime. They always find me work with very reputable companies and they keep in touch with me often to see how Im doing and if they can ever be of any assistance. One of the best agencies Ive worked for
Solomon page has really helped me this summer with getting temporary positions. Ms. Cardoso even contacted me initially so it is to no surprise that theyre always looking to help people out. They all are very prompt with responses and granted these are temporary positions they tend to always have something available for you, I am very satisfied with my experience working with the Solomon Page Group. I recommend getting in contact with them if you are in any need of finding a job in these tough times.
I have a science degree from a well know school and after months these guys still came up with nothing for me. Absolutely nothing. Thanks for nothing solomon page.
I have worked with Solomon Page now for three years and they have really helped me through my job search while living in New York. The Solomon Page team has been very dedicated in finding me the right role in the administrative support field. I have worked on various temp positions through them, from working in industries such as finance and fashion and because of them I have been exposed to great companies. The recruiters who I have worked with for my staffing needs consist of Alana Capone, Beth Farrell, Debbie Kim and Kelsie Cavey. This team has been extremely hard working, very personable and has definitely made a difference in my career. I definitely would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a new career or employment opportunities.
Met with Alana Capone. Complete waste of my time! I filled out documents and did testing and never heard back from her even after attempts to follow up. The receptionist also has a rude tone after about a minute trying to get information. Hire people who are helpful! That is the industry!
Horrible horrible from the receptionist down to the paperwork. They want all your information and social security without knowing if you got the job or not. On top of it they are so rude while interviewing, I’ve never in my life meet such unprofessional people ! Along with them saying what I ask for my pay rate was not realistic! They are the worst recruiters I’ve ever dealt with !
Ive met the ladies from Solomon Page about two weeks ago at the STYLECAREERS Fair. Immediately, i felt as they took me under their wings...literally...or as if. Well, its been now two weeks since the Job Fair and next week I am starting a new and fantastic position with no other than the LACOSTE Brand...Deanna, Moira, thank you so much for your support and help.To everyone else seeking employment, please have no doubt in using Solomon Page Group as your recruiting agency. They had my back and theyll have yours for sure.
This is one of most unprofessional recruiting companies I have ever been contacted by. I was called by three recruiters from the company for the same position. I was then told my resume would be shared with their supervisor who would contact me to discuss the position further. I was never contacted by him despite leaving a followup voicemail and email. How will candidates be hired for a position if they never get to be submitted?!
After graduating from graduate school in May, I spent the entire summer searching high and low for the perfect job in the nonprofit sector. In August, I submitted my resume via LinkedIn for a job in grantmaking. Later that day, I received a call from Beth Farrell from Solomon Page asking me to come in for an interview because she thought Id be a great fit for the position. At first I felt little uneasy using a recruiter but that uneasiness quickly went away after meeting with Beth and Debbie Kim because they really understood what I was professionally looking. The following week I interviewed with a prestigious foundation and I was immediately offered the job. I love my new position and working with Beth and Debbie was an amazing experience!
I have been on an assignment with them since March 2013. Whenever I have any issues, they are promptly resolved. Everyone I have dealt with is kind and considerate, especially Nancy Yi. I appreciate all they have done for me. :-)
Got a cold call from a recruiter just now. Ask her nicely if she could call me back because Im in a meeting. She was very rude about it. Didnt even say goodbye before she hung up.
I have been very lucky with SPG. They got me an assignment the very first day I went to their offices. Then, they got me another assignment that resulted in a permanent job. I worked with Alana. She is great. Never avoided my emails and was always very positive and welcoming. We made a very good team. I think that to be successful with an staffing agency both, you and the recruiter, need to be proactive and enthusiastic. Thats the only way it will work out. It worked for me at SPG so I definitely recommend it!
I have received 10 calls from 10 different people in this company all asking the same questions and saying “ They have to look into our data and call back”.I’m sorry but your company is the worst in helping people find jobs. I will do better on my own.
I have been with Solomon Page Group for a couple of months now, coming off of 15 years with one company, adjusting to the new job market has most definitely been a learning curve. The folks at SPG have been wonderful, I have had a few wonderful opportunities with them and I have never been disappointed. They are my go to recruiters. I can always count on them to be honest with me and I very much appreciate that! So thanks SPG, looking forward to working together for a long time to come!
A great recruiting agency. All the representatives Ive worked with are professional and courteous. They keep me working as much or as little as needed.
Jessica Bruckners e-mail came at the right time! My internship just concluded at that time so I was really looking for a job. Thanks to SPG, I am now working for a prestigious company. I greatly appreciate Jessicas assistance and guidance! I wish SPG all the best!
I always found the recruiters pleasant, but in six years they never got me a job. Not even one lousy little temp job. I think they are hamstrung by the hiring managers poor recruitment practices, particularly in technical fields. These managers will send out job requests just to harvest a bunch a resumes. They waste the recruiters and interviewees time and then never hire anyone for the position.
Yesterday, I received a phone call from John. He did not give a very good introduction of himself, and he did a very terrible job of building rapport. He gave me a very bad impression of Solomon Page. His first question asked if I was employed, and then he asked if my position was “permanent”. I answered and said yes. He then proceeded to tell me that HE felt that it was not a good fit because I am employed with health insurance and then proceeded to rush me off the phone. He did not take the time to find out why I am searching for employment opportunities, nor did he care to know why I would consider a temporary opportunity. I would consider a temporary position because the culture, mission, and vision of the potential employer aligns with my values and interest and provides an opportunity to learn now things no matter the length of employment. I have learned a lot from my temporary employment experiences that have added more value to my career. John decided that it was not a good opportunity for me without even discussing the position with me or what my interests are. It is my impression that he was caught up in the “sale” and did not think about building rapport. I would never trust my career in the hands of anyone that thinks that way or operates in that manner. I would not refer this company to anyone in my HR network here in Pittsburgh because of this experience. When I attend the meeting on Monday, I am going to share this experience with my network and business fraternity. It was not a good first impression, but it left a lasting impression. I also received two more calls, an email, and a LinkedIn inbox by other recruiters, which I respectfully declined to speak with because of my experience with John. If you are in the Pittsburgh Area, there are better agencies to work with that will take a moment to speak to you and build rapport. I do not know how many positions that did not necessary work for me, but worked for someone in my HR network. I am in Human Resources and recruiting because I enjoy helping people. I think that John should considered learning a different angle and approach. My initial experience was very similar to the 1 stars listed below, so John may have done me a favor in the long run. :/
These people are annoying, they keep calling me. Ive done the skype interview twice and talked on the phone with multiple representatives from this company and still nothing for months. They never get back to you. I’m so fed up. The last call I told them Im not interested and to take my name and number off of their list, but they called me again today, different person. I took my resume off of Monster and blocked their phone number. This is the worst recruitment company Ive ever dealt with! Most of these positive reviews have to fake!
Well I received an email and voicemail about a possible position that would be a great fit for me. I call back later that afternoon and we schedule a FaceTime interview for the following morning. Our FaceTime interview was supposed to be at 9:00 am and he never reached out. I’m very disappointed with the service. It was a complete waste of time.
I was called up by Solomon Page Group with an offer of an Administrative position. A mostly vague description, so I was dubious, but I followed through regardless. Due to some technical difficulties on my end, I opted to meet with them in person, which accounts for one of the two stars. They were very accommodating too, which earned them the second. However, the fact that this administrative position was at a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LOCATION that they NEVER mentioned to me, and that by administrative they ACTUALLY meant secretarial, lost them 2 whole stars. The fact that they assumed my being taken aback with this completely new information DURING THE INTERVIEW was actually hesitance for the position, I didnt even get the 2nd interview they promised at this other company. In hindsight, Im actually quite glad I never have to work with these people again.
Back in March of 2014, I found myself out of a job and so, I went to Solomon Page to find some temp work. I met with Scott Siegel and Jessica Brucker. They were able to get me an interview the very next day and I got hired and started my new job that same week. I am so thankful for their help.
SPG has been amazing throughout my career while I was in NYC. They took a keen interest in me as an individual, and sought to find me a position that not only fit my skill set, but one that was also aligned with my long-term future goals. I can not recommend them highly enough; they went above and beyond, and while cliche, it was clear that they genuinely cared.
I have had only great experiences working with Scott Siegel at Solomon Page. For me, a great staffing agency can do the following things:1) Provide quality candidates2) Provide quality customer service3) Work with a sense of urgencyScott and his team have provided me with nothing but the strongest candidates, the best customer service, and a sense of urgency that is unrivaled.
I have worked with many recruiters in NYC having lived here for over 17 years. SPG and specifically Rochelle Rubin have always been a pleasure to work with. They placed me at my first Creative Director position and when I went out on my own they brought me work freelancing for agencies. I never hesitate to recommend Rochelle or SPG.
I worked with Drew out of Greenwich, CT. He found my resume on Monster and contacted me about a position. I met with him over Skype and then interviewed with the company he was recruiting for a week later. I received a phone call later that day saying I got the job. I have worked with MANY recruiters and employment agencies during my job search. I feel like you have to really try all options available to you and know when to cut your losses. Before working with Drew at Solomon Page, I HATED every recruiter that would call me because I KNEW it was going to be a waste of time.
Terrible company. They do not help you find a job. They simply call you in for an interview just to waste your time. I received no follow-up call after Scott Siegel promised me that he would call if I got the job and If i didnt. Usually I can read people and I know he was a crook. I would not recommend this company to ANY one looking for a serious job.
Avoid Beth Farrell if you are a minority. She seems racist and hateful towards minorities.
The best Creative Recruitment Agency Ive worked with. I recommend all of my colleagues to Solomon Page when theyre looking for work. Recruitment agencies are multiplying by the numbers, especially in New York. Over 10 of them interviewed and brought me on as potential talent. Of those 10 only 3 were in my specialty, graphic design and creative direction. However, only 1 delivered me consistent results with the top Ad agencies and digital communication companies in the world. It will be 6 months that I have been contracted as a freelance LLC with Solomon Page. Ive worked with Rochelle, Dawn and Jocelyn.Your time is never wasted with them. They only consider you to jobs they know youre great for. A huge plus is meeting other creatives at the freelance gigs I go on who now work full-time and have come through Solomon Page.Pay is pretty good. Id say once youre in with Solomon Page, you dont need to go anywhere else. They have the best clients and the best recruiters. Im highly impressed with their team. Some advice:Make sure your portfolio is very competitive. Once I updated my portfolio, I was being offered Senior Level positions. Youre in NYC. The competition is crazy.Even if you feel like your work isnt good enough, submit anyways. That was my story and clearly theyve placed me at some highly visible clients.Always build relationships with the clients they place you with. Im constantly booked again for projects with clients whove had me before. Relationships will keep you in the door.ANDD... Reach out! Theyre an agency guys. They see numbers of people each day. If youve interviewed with them and they hired you on, but havent received any work, just send a nice and brief follow-up email to let them know youre still looking. #TheyHaveYourBestInterestInMindGood Luck
Terrible. Called me about the same position 7 times after they said it wouldnt be a fit for me. Things internally seem unorganized and no one seems as if theyre on the same page. Would not recommend.
I wish I could give 10 stars!!! An awesome group of professionals who work swiftly to get you placed. I have dealt with other Agencies in NYC and SPG ranks tops. I have recommended SPG to others and in no time at all those individuals have landed good positions within this concert jungle.Keep up the excellent work SPG!!!
During the skype interview, the interviewer was a bit condescending. He was also rude and never heard from him again so that was not helpful.
I have interviewed with many employment agencies before, and only Solomon Page Group LLC (SPG) has come through even after a long time of un-employment. Paula Cardoso is extremely professional in her communication. She explained well about how the process goes and clearly explained the job responsibilities and expectation which most recruiters I have worked for over look. She scheduled the interview around my schedule which is rear with other recruiters. Paula was also helpful because she gave me a second chance to do an exam that her client wanted to be tested.Stephanie Koerner she is new working with me but thus far she is prompt in her response- She replaced someone who was extremely slow.I have a job because of Solomon Page Group. Thank you Paula for your help.
Growing up, I was always asked what I wanted to do with my life or what I wanted to become. That answer was so simple, a writer. I wanted to report breaking news, interview celebrities, or perhaps even write a book one day. You can say I wanted to be the next Giuliana Rancic or Diana Sawyer. As my four years of college flew by in the snap of finger, it didnt seem being an honor student or interning for some of the most prestigious and well-known companies would lead to employment. As my senior year at the Post Campus of Long Island University came to an end, the only thing I had to share was what was written on the most important piece of paper I knew, my resume. I maintained mostly As and few selective Bs on my transcript, worked as a Student Ambassador, was editor of the weekly newspaper and magazine on my campus and had the privilege and opportunity to work for Newsday, as well as ABC- Live! With Kelly and Michael. Don’t get me wrong, it was such an amazing experience seeing Channing Tatum on television and then actually meeting him in person. I mean I became speechless and froze when I saw him; no words were coming out my mouth. To my knowledge, interning as a production assistant and working for Kelly Ripa was the best time in my life. There was nothing more I wanted to do than work with celebrities on a day-to-day basis. However contrary to the evidence, what I thought was good enough didnt seem that way after I received numerous rejection letters and emails from hundreds of companies I applied to. I kept asking myself when I was I going to get a break and land a job in my field; a field of study I worked so incredibly hard for. Working part-time at clothing boutiques and other retail stores wasnt exactly the icing on my cake, but I had to earn money somehow. One day, I found a job opening for recent college graduates and I told myself I have nothing left to lose at this point. I applied and within a day, Paula Cardoso from Solomon Page Group responded back to me quickly. She invited me to meet her for an interview at one of the most well-known and leading practices for Bariatric Surgery. At the time, I was curious as to what this job would entitle. She was extremely friendly and answered any questions that concerned me. As a week or two passed by, I had the pleasure of a phone interview with the client, followed-up with a face to face interview. When I found out I got the job, it was the best news I heard in a while. I currently work as a Customer Service Representative and also work with patients that are interested in undergoing bariatric surgery. A week ago, I got approved to start writing articles and interviewing patients! My first topic is to write a Thanksgiving related article so people can find other healthy alternatives and not be so food focused on the one holiday that sabotages our weight.Paula Cardoso helped me every step of the way. She guided me with what to say on my interviews, gave me helpful tips and pointers, and was even there for me when I needed advice to on how to be fashion forward, but still have an appropriate outfit for my interview. I don’t know where I would be without Solomon Page Group. Most people can readily agree nothing in life is easy and the goals you want to accomplish in life will take a lot of determination and hard work. You can’t stop going after what you want; even if you don’t succeed at first. You have to train yourself to remain calm, have faith and even in the darkest of times to always look at life with a positive perspective. Thank you Solomon Page for getting my life back on track and helping me chase my dreams!
Disrespectful and unprofessional people. All the so called recruiter need serious training in human relations. If they dont like you for whatever reason they will not forward your resume to the client. Complete waste of time, only call you in and collect your resume to make sure they meet their quota. Does not even deserve the one star.
3 fake review the same. Wow
This company comes up a scam likely on my phone. Beware!!!
