I have sent my MacBook Air into Rossmann Repair Group twice now. It was definitely my fault... I spilled pop on it (AGAIN!). Anyway, I was so upset about it and thought that my computer was broken for good. I love my air, its been really great for me.Anyway, we sent it in and within a couple of days I got an email with an estimate to repair. I signed the estimate and 2 days later I got another email letting me know its time to pay. Well... my final bill was $100 less than the quoted amount. I was shocked!!! It also included shipping.When my computer came back to me... it was perfect. They even cleaned it for me.Thanks so much. I love this repair company, seriously I am from Chicago and I send my laptop to New York just so these guys can fix it for me. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I went there for the MacBook repair class. I was able to meet Louis Rossman, and learn quite a bit about reading schematics, soldering micro connections, BGAs, and much more. It was a small class of only three students total myself included in a very laid-back and easy to work in environment. Louis has a extremely good and funny (in a very good way) YT channel that I recommend everyone subscribe to.....there are some things Im not the most into, but overall I find them to be quite informative and enjoyable....you can actually learn alot of things from them....also you gotta love all his adorable cats!!!! Wizards. I took a slow-running macbook air in at 7pm yesterday, on a time crunch. They opened it up, diagnosed it for free, and gave me a quote. By 10am today it was available for pickup, and its running like an entirely different machine. Polite, professional, no-nonsense, no hidden fees. While I hope not to need to frequent a repair shop, this is where Ill go if I need further work done.

They are the best, they fixed my computer, which I thought it was a lost case!I spilled coffee on my MacBook Pro, it was a lot of coffee! I took it to an apple approved repair shop and they told me that it was going to cost me more than a new computer, and that I should consider it a total loss. At this point I had no warranty, I did not buy a protection plan, and the computer was only 1 year old.At least I needed to recover my data, and this apple approved place told me it was going to be $2,100.I decided to ship my laptop to the Rossmann Repair Group, and they did an amazing job communicating with me about any updates. They estimated to repair it for $700, and then told me it was only going to cost me $425. I was very happy. They shipped it back for free, and now I have my computer working almost perfectly (some keys are a little sticky, and the mouse pad a little sensible), but I have all my data, which I immediately saved into an external hard drive.I highly recommend them.

The logic board in my computer (barely a year old) stopped working out of nowhere. Apple quoted me between $700-$800, and because I was just barely out of my warranty, would do absolutely nothing to help. I sent it to Rossmann, was quoted HALF of what Apple quoted me, and they fixed it within an hour and got it back in the mail to me.Truly truly some of the best customer service I’ve ever received. Everyone I’ve spoken to has been friendly, understanding, and compassionate (something Apple support seems to lack). I will most definitely be using Rossmann again for any repairs I need in the future, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The technician at the front desk was able to bring my macbook back from the dead today in 15 minutes at no cost. I will continue to recommend and send all business I can their way. This business not only cares about taking care of the customer and doing what is right, they also practice what they preach with right to repair. I cant say enough good things.

Still in shock!! Rossmann Repair Group is AMAZING! Was planning to toss out our MacBook Air after a small water spill rendered it useless -- would have been more than it originally cost to repair through Apple. But, seriously, in the space of ONE WEEK, this company had it evaluated, quoted, repaired AND shipped back to me, all for about 20% of what Apple planned to charge. Did I mention superior communication and customer service, on top of computer repair skills?! Were so grateful! So glad we ran across Rossmann Repair Group in a Google search! :) Thank you!

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. The Apple Genius wanted twice the price and 10 weeks to fix my Macbook Pro. Rossman received it on a Thursday, repaired and shipped it back out next day. I happily paid a nominal expediting fee for a quick turn. It arrived back to me very well packaged, clean as a whistle, and working flawlessly. EXCELLENT!

I visited this store to have my MacBook Pro repaired but was appalled by their customer service. I went to this store because of the high rating but was extremely disappointed. The guys who work here are just extremely strange, unprofessional and have no idea about a thing called “customer service”. So I gave my laptop to the person at front desk and he opens it and says he needs to show it to a technician and goes in the back and grabs a guy with pony tail. He stops by, I tell him something about my laptop which I thought might be relevant for the repair and he doesn’t even acknowledge that I told him something and goes back and all the while not a single word. Now I have no idea what’s going on, I thought he must have gone to check it further and would be back soon with an answer if the laptop could be repaired or not. But quite a few minutes pass by and I see him sitting in back having a casual conversation with another guy. And all the while, the guy at the front desk is answering phone calls rather than tending to the customer sitting in front of him. There are no other customers in store, I’m the only one there.. I grab his attention and ask him what’s the hold up, to which he decides to give me an update on the laptop. So he had the answer all along and just chose to answer the calls rather than attending to the customer right in front of him. So I just sat there for what I think was about 15-20 minutes for no reason and just wasted my time. I don’t understand why they have a high rating. It seems like one of those stores who artificially increase their rating to dupe unsuspecting customers. Beware people. My biggest problem with them was they wasted my time with complete disregard. I would never return here. I’d prefer apple store anytime over these guys even though they are ridiculously expensive. At least they know how to treat their customers.

Amazing technician, I believe the best in Apple repair in the country even better than Apple with the tools and facility they can get of course, Apple makes many problems for third party repair shops. I have learned a lot from his videos and from Jessa Jones at iPad Rehab in Rochester NY. I look forward in learning more from them all. Aside from being great technicians they are very honest which is a good relief from anyone that wants to get anything repaired. I look forward to visiting NYC one day and stopping by the shop and thank him in person. They have also fixed my laptop where I am writing this response on and gave me tips on my external hard drive which is now also up and working!

This is my second time sending my laptop for a repair. Liquid damage the first time and this time a broken screen. They are reasonable with prices (Apple quoted me the price I paid for the laptop!!) I was nervous at first, shipping it from Wisconsin but everything worked out great both times!!!

I’ve mailed MacBook with a fried motherboard, they got it to work with out an issue, after mailed an iPad with a bad logic board after taking it to several local places with no positive results they got it up and running even though it’s not something they normally work on. Twice was saved by Rossmann Repair. First it was liquid damaged MacBook Air, now Iphone SE 2020 who conveniently, after 1 year manufacturer warranty ran out, threw vertical stripes over the screen. Very reasonable repair pricing. Both times used mail in option, since parking nearby is “mission impossible”.

Very honest and professional. When I try to get my laptop repaired, they did.not have exact part and only assembly part. They suggested to first go to apple store as the apple may offer cheaper solution. I found that advice to be very honest and customer centric. Also, looking at their set up, they also seem to be able to do a lot of sophisticated repair as well.

Had a friend who left her window open during a storm and had her MacBook damaged. Rossman was able to fix for $250 and now her computer has another 3 years of life barring any other accidents. Apple said they would fix for 1000$ so expensive that it made more sense to buy a new computer.

Was in Korea and had an outlet explode on me, afterwards my Samsung would not charge. As a leap of faith, and having no where to go on my quick overnight in NYC, I went to Rossmann because it was a few blocks from my hotel. Even though they did not service Samsung as their normal business model, they helped me figure out that it was a software issue after the power reset and I was able to use the phone as a result for the remainder of my work trip. They didnt need to spend that time to help someone outside their profile but they did, and my phone (which I am currently writing this on) is still in working in order as a result! Will always recommend a place which will give the time to help someone even outside their normal work paradigm!

Apple wanted 1650 to repair liquid related damage to my 2019 MacBook Pro. I paid 2200 and wasnt about to do that. Thankfully I found this company on YouTube and loved the owners passion for right to repair.Their service is amazing. Hey everybody, hows it going?I brought two MacBook Pro laptops here for repairs. I thought I knew what might be wrong with one, and I thought I was in for a full on motherboard repair. I left it there for diagnosis and it turned out it was a very simple and pretty inexpensive fix. Great communication with staff as they diagnosed the device and they were 100% on the money with what was wrong and they saved me a good chunk of change. The second MacBook was a surprisingly similar fix that they performed while I waited. All I had to do was describe the problem and because of their experience with MacBooks they knew exactly what the problem was. Excellent, knowledgeable technicians and friendly staff. Cant stress that enough. Thank God there are places like this where you can get *your* device repaired instead of being forced to buy a new one by a manufacturer who doesnt want to do real repairs.Thats it for today, and as always, I hope you learned something.

I went today to see if my spacebar can be fixed. the guy did his very best to make it to working condition at no charge because what I needed is to change the whole keyboard. They are very polite, professional and provide honest opinions. They didnt try to lie to me and make me spend money, instead the guy at the frontdesk let me know I can probably get the keyboard replaced by apple for free. Five weeks ago, my 10 year old daughters 5th gen iPad stopped charging. My husband and I suspected a loose connection, but when we took it to Apple, they ran some test and concluded the logic board died. Since the iPad was set up under me when she got it (at the age of 6), I had disconnected her from *my* iCloud. Apple basically couldnt sell me a new iPad because we had no data backup.Based on Apples recommendation, we sent it to their data recovery partner, DriveSavers, who quoted me $2800 for data recovery due to widespread corruption on her logic board. We declined.Enter the Rossmann Repair Group. Earlier this week, I got a call asking me what specifically was wrong with the iPad because they were able to turn it on, and had access to all the data. To say I was floored is a complete understatement - but 100% explains why the Find Me app showed my daughters iPad location as CA, when it had a corrupted logic board… *eye roll* Rossmann Repair Group gave me a copy of my daughters data for $100, on a storage device I did not have to pay for, AND fixed her home button and cracked screen for another $100. They shipped it back to me for free. $200 and it was done. I would tipped if there was a virtual tip jar... so happy!! ;)I feel completely misled by Apple, and we were flat out lied to by DriveSavers. But Rossmann Repair Group was honest, kind, and reasonable. I feel like they completely came to our rescue. I wish you could have seen the smile on my daughters face when she got her iPad back. I sent in an external hard drive that bricked on me. Its a drive I plug in once a year, dump phone videos, photos, and then back on the shelf til next year. This year I went to free up some space and found the drive wouldnt respond. It had the first 10 years of my daughter growing up and I was freaking out.I had almost accepted they were gone until a friend at work mentioned RRG. I crossed my fingers and sent in the drive, not expecting good news (or some astronomical fee that would force me to put a price on those memories). Instead I got a call a few days after mailing saying not only could they repair the drive, but for a fraction of the cost I was expecting. 10/10 would recommend to anyone needing any services they provide.

I needed a new Macbook Pro battery, because apparently the one it came with was failing. These guys replaced it in a bit under an hour, and were incredibly friendly, professional, and courteous throughout the whole process. Will definitely head here again if I need to.

These guys are LEGIT! Dont waste your time with anyone else. I had water damage in a newer iphone and had YEARS of pics which were not backed up. I was given a cost and time estimate reflective of what was on their website. Their service exceeded the high-points of both estimates. It was definitely not a drop-in the bucket cost, but worth the service. I was notified 24 hours later that my data recovery was complete. Unfortunately, my phone was not repairable but that didnt matter much to me anyway. Great service with these guys and glad to find them locally as well. If youre not in NYC- they will coordinate with you.

World-class Mac repair service. If you want it done right and fast, this is the shop. Rossmann Repair had my damaged Macbook Pro screen replaced and ready for pick up less than six hours after drop off. Prior to that, I had spilled a cup of tea on another laptop- they successfully retrieved all data. Their quiet, friendly efficiency is very much appreciated pandemic or not. Great guys and gals.

I bought a macbook air a few years ago, and all of the sudden it just stopped turning on. No matter what I did I just didnt. I went to the apple store where their help was extremely disappointing they couldnt tell me what was the problem everything was running fine.My BF told me about this place, and when I came to read the reviews I was very impressed so I decided to give it a try. I think it took more time to unscrew my laptop than the thecnician telling was wrong. It took him literally a minute. How come apple couldnt tell me what it was.I left my computer, they told me it could take up to 5 business days, it only took 1 day to have it fixed.I was really surprised and didnt expect that to happen that fast. The service overall was very professional and precise. You have warranty over their work. Definitely recommend this place for your computer issues.

Phenomenal repair shop! My moms Macbook pro 16 with coffee spills was pretty much done for, we were heart broken so much money down the drain, luckily my brother stumbled upon this shop online. They live in Chicago, mind you they took a hige leap of faith to mail it in. Long srory short they fixed it at a fraction of what it would cost -600 bucks! For coffee spills they usually switch mother boards ect and you get a bill similar to the price of the computer. They are super transparent about the process. In todays age very few places you can blindly trust, and why i would highly recommend Rossmans to any one around the country, they literally saved my mom from a $2800 loss, so happy!Months down the line im trying to swap out my hard drive in my 21.5 imac and finding the right tape is tricky. Ive heard heaps of horror story of screens falling off in the middle of the night... Any hoot i called them up and asked them for the info, they not only ready helped me over the phone, they also went ahead and gave me there supplier for the adhesive im looking for! This goes to show what an amazing store this is! Thanks guys you rock!

Came in with a tiny stripped screw on a laptop. The screw was completely stripped- basically a circle in there. They offered to try and said they would not charge if they could not take it out. They managed to take it out and charged a fair price. Finally, some closure after calling dozens of electronic stores, hardware stores, and even locksmiths! Quality work and excellent customer service!!!

The best Mac laptop repair place in the city. After having several issues with my Mac Pro and being misled several times by the Apple Genius Bar, I decided to take it to Mac laptop repair specialist. Not only did they fix my Mac Pro in less than an hour, they showed all the items that the Genius Bar screwed up. Screw going to the Apple Genius Bar and just look these guys up if you are in the area. I did try to sell them my iPad Pro as it was no longer needed. They stated in phatically that they do not purchase used items from customers! Kind of a bummer, but oh well I understand the issues with doing so. Again this is the place if you want your Mac repaired!

Professional service, but beware before mailing your device in that it may be totaled. Unfortunately this was the case for my MacBook, so I am out $50 shipping and my device is still broken. I was told that other than the bad screen, my MacBook worked perfectly. Was quoted $500 to replace the screen, which was more than it would cost me to simply replace the entire device.

I just got my Macbook Pro back from RRG. I have to say I was overjoyed and honestly getting my Macbook Pro back was the one time I felt pure joy in a while.I caught Louis on the phone a couple of the times that I called and he is super nice, incredibly nice to customers. I called in to tell him I wanted rush service and he noted that I approved $45 rush service. I called the beginning of the next week to see what the status was because it had been delivered on Thursday. Louis said they were in the middle of replacing the battery now, and then within the hour I got an email saying it was done.They did not charge me the rush service charge, which I didnt realize until after I paid and it shipped, but the was a duplicated repair charge on the invoice that I called and noted to them, which they promptly fixed. This leads me to believe that they waived the rush charge.These guys are awesome and made a daunting experience of being without my Macbook Pro for a week super easy.In contrast-- Geek Squad (Best Buy) said they needed to send it off to Apple for a month, and Microcenter, while Im very impressed that they were able to do it in store, wanted $500 for the repair, which $300 of that was Apples charge for the battery, that theyre forced to use because they are an AASP. My understanding is they replace the whole backing and not just the battery.But heres the thing-- regardless of both places and even though all my data is backed up on the cloud, I simply did not trust to leave my Macbook Pro with either Microcenter (because they are an AASP only, because theyre an awesome store with very capable people) or *shudder* Best Buy.Thank you so much Louis for being awesome, and all the rest of the guys. I dont know who the other guys were I spoke with but everyone was incredibly kind.

I sent my 2014 15 MacBook Pro to Rossmann Repair Group after damaging the keyboard connector while attempting to replace the battery. They were able to repair my computer, and bring it back to life. The price for the repair was reasonable, and I received my computer back in good condition (which is more than I can say for the people that Apple contracts with to repair computers). I will say that it took longer to get my machine back than I expected (around 14 days), but it was worth the wait. I would definitely send another device here for repair if the need ever arises.

Took my Mac Book Pro here AFTER visiting the Genius Bar where they quoted me a 679.00 price to fix my laptop! Anyway being desperate I tried this small repair shop where they fixed the problem FOR FREE. They could have scammed me but didnt. Thank You!!

I stumbled on my daughters 2012 MacBook Pro that she had been told (years ago) was beyond repair. I powered it up and a little research led me to guess that the hard drive was dead or not being seen. So I sent a note with that assumption to Rossman Repair Group. They said it could be the hard drive or it could be the drive cable which is a known issue with this model - $100 to repair if thats what it is.I gambled and paid $13 to ship it. For retail customers, Rossman will diagnose, outline the problem, and provide an estimate for free. They confirmed it was the cable and they needed the OS password to further test the operating system to make sure that it boots (loads to your desktop). I did not have the password so I asked if they could use the password reset?They replied We wouldnt be able to reset the password, but we can wipe it and reinstall a new OS with a new password if youd like. The hard drive cable is indeed bad on this device, with a new cable the hard drive does show up.I got it back (free return shipping), since the hard drive now shows up I was able to reset the PW and it looks to be running perfectly! Total repair cost $113.

They are incredible. Fixed my sister’s logic board and got her laptop working once again, which was significantly cheaper than purchasing a used logic board or a new laptop! I will definitely use them in the future for any other mac related issues. I have already recommended them to family and friends.To anyone who is hesitant about shipping a laptop to NY, they will ship you your laptop back and not a box of rocks. My mother was convinced I would get a box of rocks, so I am glad to show her that this wasn’t the case lol!

I took my MacBook Pro to Rossmann Repair Group in October of last year for a backlight issue that nobody else could seem to diagnose properly. They got my laptop back up and running for a reasonable price, and then again 4 months later when the issue recurred. Great group, responsive and thorough. A previous repair shop did a diagnostic and told me it wasnt the battery but the logic board. I was referred to Rossmann group who successfully replaced the battery without having to do anything with the logic board.Ended up saving me hundreds of dollars by not having to work with Apple directly. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Oh a whim after watching Mr. Rossmans repair videos I decided to order the microprobe kit for my volt meter. I received it today and decided to plug it into my Fluke test meter.These probes are much better quality than the probe kit sold with my Fluke meter by far! Ill be looking into buying some other tools from here in the near future, in addition to ordering another set of probes.

I took my iPhone 6 Plus with a motherboard completely damaged took it to other technicians that were specialist in motherboards and no one could’ve get my data recovered or fix my phone to power back on these people of (Rossmann Repair Group) got the phone fully repaired and in perfect working order and also backed up all my data in to a new hard drive .
