I had an emergency, quick turnaround for a TV appearance and I needed someone to alter pants in a suit. I called Sona, and he calmed my worries. Within the hour, I had pants that were perfectly tailored. Sona is the consummate professional, and a life saver! Will definitely use again / recommend!

All in all good alteration. VERY expensive, but I knew this before going to Alteration Specialists. I had a gown hemmed, it is shorter than I asked, but I wore my tallest shoes (that I might not wear to the wedding) as a safe guard for an overly hemmed dress. The store in self was a bit unkept, looked like it needed some fresh paint and a clean. The front desk staff could have been friendlier too. All in all, Id try going back because of the promptness and good work, but I wasnt blown away by the experience.

Bibi was amazing!! I had a neckline of a dress altered and it looks so much better now thanks to her work. There is normally a 2 week turn around time but I got my dress bacj in a week! Over all amazing experience & highly recommend!

I needed to find a tailor to fix the hem the of my pants so I googled “best tailors around me”. Altercation Specialists of New York came up as a result immediately. Since it was a short distance away, I decided to walk over (thinking I would drop off my pants and get them back in 5-7 days). I was immediately impressed upon walking in to alteration specialists of New York. I was warmly welcomed by Sona. After showing him what I needed he kindly said “please wait one moment”, took my pants to the back, and fixed the hem right away! Within minutes I was holding my pants again, this time they were in perfect shape! He didn’t even charge me for this! Truly incredible customer service and beautiful altercation work. I would highly recommend to anyone in the city (and out of the city). I will be coming back in the near future! Thank you Sona!! :)

I wish I could remember the womans name who altered my sequin jumpsuit for my birthday party! When I got the jumpsuit, it was baggy because i got it to fit my wide hips andjust way too long. They pretty much had to reconstruct this jumpsuit to fit me perfectly and when I tell you, everything came out PERFECT!! From the length to how perfectly fitted it was on me. And the customer service is superb as well. Thank you guys so much for being a big part of making my birthday special!

I was skeptical of altering my leather jacket’s sleeves because it’s a really high end jacket but I read the reviews and gave them a try. Quite simply, it was my best tailoring experience, the sleeves were altered perfectly, they are very responsive to e-mails and calls, and the receptionist is a sweetheart.

She is a brilliant designer who truly understands how you want things to fit, and shes tackled some challenging jobs for me with ease. Pricing is definitely on the higher end, and a few garments can really add up, but to me its so worth saving my pennies and going whenever I can afford it! I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered for an upcoming wedding. I had never been to get anything altered and wasnt sure what to expect. The specialist was great and everyone was very nice! The initial fitting was quick and easy, the dress was done within a week, and it fit perfectly after! I definitely recommend getting any and all pieces altered at this location.

Sona, the manager is my favorite tailor in the city. He’s friendly, professional, and great at what he does. I’ve brought in suits, tuxes, pants, shirts and he’s done a great job with every piece!Additionally, I recently brought in a leather sports coat and Sona did a fantastic job. I had a fantastic experience at this ASNY location. Very convenient and the space is very welcoming and clean. All the staff are wonderful, especially Bibi! I got 5 dresses altered there and they all came out perfectly.Bibi is extremely patient and kind – she really listens and delivers exactly what you are looking for. One of my dresses was a difficult alteration, but not for Bibi – she nailed it! I highly recommend Alteration Specialists and especially this midtown east location.

This is one of those services that you just never thought existed. Once you use them, you will never be able to get something tailored elsewhere. Took a tough shoulder job on an older suit, and it was tailored perfectly. Not an easy job either, 2 other tailors said it wasnt possible. From the experience, to the service, this company is really the gold standard in tailoring. So happy that they are near my home and work as well. My wife is going to try the home office service, she is super excited about that.

Inserting my yelp review here: Just an amazing place to get anything altered. I originally went to the 5th ave location to get all my garments altered and was 100% satisfied with all my clothes. Ive worked with Sona for a year now and the entire time the experience was amazing. Very attentive and knew what kind of still I preferred and always made recommendations and suggestions to what would work and not work. When he moved to the Grand Central location I just had to move over as well as I value relationships, especially when it came to altering my suits. Sona has always valued the customer experience and quality of work over money and it really shows cause he always makes sure you are satisfied with his work. Ive brought in many garments for altering and I plan on bringing a lot more in the future. I cant imaging finding another tailor to work on my clothes. Also, the price may be more than some other places but they guarantee theyre work for a year and also the quality is far better! Try them out and you will never go anywhere else.

I am excited that Alteration Specialists opened up a new location (the 4th location) near Grand Central. The location is absolutely stunning. The design, layout and furniture make for a great experience. It is the nicest tailoring studio I have seen in Manhattan. The Alteration Specialists team has been my go-to tailor for all of my alterations needs. I can confidently recommend them for any and all alterations.

Very convenient location and customer service is great. I came with a challenging project that was more than just an alteration. The team made me feel comfortable and I instantly trusted them with the plan of modifying my garment. Amazing experience at Midtown East. I needed alterations on several suits and blazers. A huge order, and most of the alterations were relatively difficult to do(read: I had gained weight). The results were all perfect and in time for my flight out. Thanks again and ill be back next time im in town!

I just picked up my jumpsuit and it fits like a glove! My appt was fast and easy. Prices were a little expensive however I don’t mind paying more for such friendly workers and great work. I’m 100% coming back with more clothes!
