I really liked this yacht and they have very good offers. The food is delicious and excellent service in Spanish and English. A place with a beautiful decoration, they have several bars, it is simple but charming. Excellent service and very good views throughout the tour. I love visiting this place and enjoying the views, the breeze, and the magic of the city. I recommend it in the evenings and in couples, it is very romantic. They also have live music and a beautiful place on the deck to see the sky and the city, from where you can have a drink while you talk with your partner or friends.
We took the 4th of July dinner cruise which was overall enjoyable. A few things to watch out for. They say dress for men is dress shirt required and dinner jacket requested or they would hate to turn you away. Guys showed up in shorts, flip flops, ball caps and werent turned away. Frustrating. The cruise was supposed to be 5 hours, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. We did not leave the dock until 7 and returned at 10:30. The captain had a perfect view of the fireworks from the Brooklyn Bridge. Right in the middle. About 1/2 way through the show he started drifting away. When we began complaining he started working his way back to the middle. We overheard the bartender telling another staff member that he drifts away so he can be the first one back to the dock. We paid over $400 per ticket for this event and he wants to be the first one back to the dock. It was enjoyable but dress any way you want and dont expect the cruise to last for the time they advertise. The meal was advertised as a gourmet buffet. It was far from gourmet.
I surprised my husband for his birthday and booked this for a Birthday Bunch. The staff was hospitable making sure we were comfortable, that we didnt need anything, and they kept the Mimosas kept coming. It wasnt crowded at all because of the New York weather these past couple of weeks. However, on 4/22/18 the weather was excellent. My husband really enjoyed the time spend with just him and I......I would recommend this for a couple, a few, or many people to just get away for two hours.......WELL WORTH IT!!!!!!
We did the dinner cruise and had a really good time. The deal was about $200 and included a 3 course dinner with several options to choose from as well as access to the yacht, gratuities and taxes. The bottles of wine were not too bad and priced reasonably. The waiters are very kind, I forgot my cell phone on the table and one of them even chased me down to the coat check in to return it! They pass by really close to the Statue of Liberty, it is a great opportunity to take am awesome shot of the Lady at night.
We went on the evening dinner cruise and as it was a special occasion decided to book the window seat and the unlimited drinks package at extra cost. It was great to see New York lighting up, the food was ok although I had to send my steak back as it was only just warm. The drinks service was slow which sort of cancelled out the unlimited drinks and the view would have been just as good from the inner seats as even sitting in the window seats means one of you has their back to the view. Recommend but go for the cheaper package.
The overall experience was very good. I would definitely do use World Yacht again. The decor was pleasing and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The windows around the dining hall and lounge area were large and kept clean allowing us a great view of the Manhattan skyline. Definitely worth the price of the ticket.
Great evening, breathtaking views from the upper deck, relaxed and romantic dinner cruising while watching the city views. Champagne toast, dancing and good music, whats not to love? One of many highlights in our maiden NYC trip! The close up view of the Statue of Liberty was gorgeous, too!
5 Star NYC dinner cruise!!! FIRST cruise with World Yatch the Fall after 9-11, loved the hospitality then. Love it even more now.
Excellent food and views. Would have liked a bit of explanation of what we were looking at. Also would like improved doorway to boat deck as we were there in January and freezing cold air came in every time someone went out for a look.
I am not sure what food people were referring to on other reviews, but quite honestly go for the sights not the food. The views on the kind of day I went, bright and breezy, were fantastic. The photos looked good, you go to see everything very well, it was not too hot due to the nice breeze. My particular tip? stand at the rear of the boat behind all the people sat down.
The experience was a great one had a lot of fun and would recommend the boat to any individual or group who wants to keep their party on the water
I usually never write reviews but I felt this needed one. I did the Thanksgiving Cruise around NYC for the Lunch Buffet. I usually am skeptical about buffets but this one was a delight. Turkey was moist, apple pie was awesome!. They even let me have the turkey leg!Everyone was very nice, staff was courteous, and the views were amazing.......(and I have been going to NYC for 8 years).Don;t miss out. I bet the normal cruises are just as good as the holiday cruises.
We had our anniversary dinner there, and it was an out of the world experience. The servers were really nice, the view was spectacular and the ambiance was very romantic. The live music to which we danced, was the other best thing in the yacht.
I had a wonderful time!!!! The FOOD WAS DELICIOUS!!! Our waiter was beyond Amazing. Thanks for a memorable experience. 😊😊
I went on World Yachts dinner cruise last week and absolutely loved it! It was a great way to see New York Citys skyline. I would recommend it to anybody looking for a great experience!
Im afraid to say the food experience was terrible. I attended the 4th July cruise and requested a Vegan meal when booking. I sent 2 subsequent emails to check if this was possible and got no response. When we boarded, we were advised our dietary requirements could be met. The meal I got was appalling, particularly at those prices. The Manager agreed the food was poor and said she would look into a refund. I emailed her on my return home (at her request) and Im now being ignored. Ive sent 3 emails over the last 6 weeks and had no response. I presume now they have changed their mind about my refund. Definitely wouldnt recommend this company, sub-standard service. In view of my complaint, they dont even have the courtesy to answer my emails, which isnt acceptable.
I loved the ticket agent Amanda. She was very helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. Thank You for that
This was our 2nd time on a World Yacht cruise. It was even bette than the first time. Staff is incredibly accommodating and our server (Keith) was top notch! The views are spectacular and you get a great close up of the Statue of Liberty. The meal was delicious and they had enough options on the menu to suit just about everyone. My daughter didnt care for the dish she ordered (shes picky) and our server offered to get her a different dish right away. She was delighted! I would highly recommend this particular activity for visitors or locals. It would be great for a date night, family get together, business functions or just a night out with friends. Summer is obviously better because the sun sets a little later and you can see so many amazing views, but it is equally stunning at night.
If I only want to do some sightseeing with friends and family that are visiting, I usually go for Circle Line. But if they mention dining while sightseeing, World Yacht is perfect! Nothing beats the experience of having visual pleasure while pleasing your palate too. I highly recommend going on a bruch tour and upgrade your menu, it is definitely worth it.
The Beast was amazing! Crew was amazing! Super fun! Cross town bus on 42nd Street goes directly there.
Better than circle line but not by much. Foods not so great but the bartenders are nice. If you travel with them take the bateaux. Its got live jazz. Its also a glass topped boat.
Fun time. Good food. Drinking wine out of tiny plastic cups not ideal.
Went there on new years eve cruise. Overpriced comparing with other companies.
I tagged along when my sister took my aunt from back home here for brunch. Food wasn’t that great. But view of the manhattan and liberty is great oh and unlimited mimosa(lol).
Most amazing experience ever. Everyone needs to try it at least once
Great cruise on the Hudson, along with beautiful sights
Surprised my wife last year with this cruise for her birthday, now she insist on doing it again
Good deal for a $10, hour-long boatride down the Hudson.
They gave me back my money for the food and drinks but we still paid for going on the boat and views.DO NOT GO ON THIS CRUISE. I want to first be very clear that I came on this cruise for an anniversary. I have never written a bad review online and feel very strongly about warning people. Also, I have interned for a national food publication and my boyfriend and I have each worked in fine dining restaurants. We went on the cruise thinking we were going on the world yacht and ended up on the Hudson. Our cruise took off at 6:30 on Saturday, June 22nd. The only good thing was the views. It took forever for our food to come, I sent back my steak three times. I asked for medium rare, the first one was well done, the second was raw, the third was my first steak including the original cuts cooked more, so it was charred. My fourth was the second one cooked a little more. I decided just to eat that one. I ate one fingerling potato which was served with my steak and it was cold with a flavoring my boyfriend compared to propane. My boyfriend ordered the salmon which was extremely fishy tasting. One thing I have learned in traveling is that fish only taste fishy if it has been sitting in its own juices for a while. He ate about half of his fillet before giving up. Thru all of this we had to continuously call for our waitress, she never came over and acted apologetically or even asked if it was okay. To her credit, after the third steak, she had at least told me she already had the fourth one on the way. The mussels were okay, 3 of them werent open. If mussels do not open while cooking youre not supposed to serve them until you open the shells manually and check to make sure theyre okay. We also ordered the calamari which was lackluster. We each ordered a drink, I the rose sangria and my boyfriend a rye of the storm. He ordered a second of the same thing, it took 20 minutes to get and she brought the wrong drink in a completely different cup. He drank it anyway since it took so long to get it. Even when we did try to flag our waitress down, twice she looked at us then walked away. Now onto the food timing, it took around 30-40 minutes to receive our appetizers. As we were already heading back to the dock our main course had finally arrived. As we docked she finally brought us our dessert, chocolate ganache, and pecan cheese cake. A quick glance to my right I had seen a couple just getting their main course at 8:33 pm as we docked. The cheese cake was very flavorful and creamy. The chocolate ganache was disappointing, the inside similar to the texture of pudding. The whipped cream served with each dessert was also already partially melted. Now for the atmosphere, there was a stain on my chair and the restrooms had water everywhere with damp towels and the toilets were not cleaned. We had just stepped onto the boat and I had used the restroom immediately before sitting. The music was that similar to a club, people were dressed very casually with several guests in shorts and t-shirts. At the end, we discovered tip was not included in our $200 fee and had to pay an additional $56 for three drinks. We also came to find out most items on the menu were an additional fee on top of our $100 per person. The staff was friendly, our waitress, however, did not seem to care and was not attentive at all. Great Experience ! love the view . One of the bartender name Dawson was very polite and generous.
The view from the dining room is beautiful. The trip around the island of Manhattan is breath taking. There are two different type of menu or accomodations. One is the regular menu, which is okay. Then there is an upgraded menu for $95 includes a choice of shrimp cocktail, lump crab cakes, or salmon and filet mignon, skirt steak, duck, among other selections. It is more upscale than the regular menu. A glass of champagne is included with this menu. It was a fun evening out. We went for the view more than the food.
Excellent service ⛴💃🏻🎉🎤🎹🎷🎼🗽 😀👍
I havent been on this one; heard its great!
Wonderful service, terrific night!
Took NYE fireworks cruise. They were Late boarding by 50 minutes. They made us stand in the rain for over a half hour with no explanation. It took 50 min to get off the boat after being docked. Food was meh.
Horrible food. After the event I had severe food poisoning and was up all night and early morning vomiting hamburger meat. Others on the cruise got diarrhea afterward. Another friend of mine got a staph infection because some incompetent chef couldnt wash their hands or read a thermometer. Fix it.
Tourist trap. but wonderful scenery as you eat catering hall fare.
Excellent experience. well recommended
Its an awesome experience! ! A must try.
Its affordable and beautiful sites
Different dining experience
Excellent 👍
Food was not worth it. the rest was good.
That is why I work
Great Mimosas
A fun dinner cruise.
Very Nice
You cant be the view and the romance of it
Nice experience
Cruising at night is an incredible experience. The tour passes by the statue of liberty and circles the island, with an indescribable view of the place. I recommend taking a table on the right side of the boat in the corner, so you wont miss any detail of the high point of the tour
♿ Amazing adventure! Unforgettable views of New York from the water! A beautiful sunset in NYC!A great idea for all tourists in NYC, an unforgettable view of New York seen from the water, sunset reflecting in New York skyscrapers, two hours of extraordinary, unique adventure ... average food, but lets arrange - we dont go on this cruise for taste and value scenic - not to forget for the rest of your life! I highly recommend. ♿ not recommended - a problem when entering the yacht.
The dinner very good. The excellent atmosphere. The incredible view. Good attention and punctuality. highly recommended especially the statue of liberty at almost 50 meters.
