Big boat, nice crew.We did the 48-hour tile/tuna tour. Tile fishing didnt work too well. After a quick vote, we went for the tuna. A beautiful night and a half-day of fishing for 30-60lb tuna. Went home a little earlier with full coolers.Everyone took 3 tuna (limit).Only complaint - no water in the sinks to wash hands.

Absolutely great experience this past weekend. My 17 year old has never expressed any interest in fishing and suddenly asked. I havent gone fishing in some time myself. Capitol Princess was recommended to us for being good for beginners.The 5 mile ride was fun (waves were great). The crew helpful and showed my son how to use his rod and were very friendly and courteous.And we enjoyed our catch at dinnertime!Thanks to all and looking forward to our next trip.

Had a great time on the The Capitol Princess during a cigar cruise. The crew was amazing both bartenders were great and made some amazing drinks. The captain ensured us that the cruise would offer some great sights. He did not disappoint! Definitely recommend this boat for a great time.

I took about 11 guys in 6/12/2021 and they all loved the boat the crew very helpful and the boat was very cleaned even though the fishing was slow we had a great time going on a boat that was clean and very friendly not like other boats that are dirty and people smoking other things besides cigarettes. What a great day on the water. Simply the best value for a day of fishing in all of NYC. Capt. Eric & his family are wonderful hosts. The mates were all friendly & skillful. The bagels for breakfast are the best in the city, lunch was a great variety of sandwiches and finally a full bar on board! The ship is huge, CLEAN and COMFORTABLE! Even a lounge with cushioned seats on the second deck! My son had a blast & I did too! I can’t recommend the Capitol Princess enough! I’ll be back aboard soon!!!

Very friendly owners, captain, mates and regulars aimed at making the trip fun and putting you on fish. Also great with kids. My 10yr old son and I joined the extended blackfish trip and had a great time. Guests caught keeper Blackfish, Seabass, Porgy and Oyster Toadfish. Cushioned couches upstairs were really nice to have for the ride out and back to catch some zs. Also affordable. Most enjoyable charter boat Ive been on at this size and very convenient to get to living in Manhattan. Highly recommended for anyone in the city looking to get on the water, catch some fish, enjoy the company and not break the bank.

Ive been on five or six other fishing charters out of NY area, and Capital Princess is by far the class act. Comfortable, fast, good equipment, full bar, helpful and friendly crew. What more could you ask for?

Boat was clean and comfortable, the food was fresh and the drinks were cold. My grandson caught his first ever fish - a Sea Robin. Took a little while for the fish to bite, but they eventually did. Excellent experience for myself and my granddaughter. Crew was extremely helpful and courteous to all the passengers. The concept of catering breakfast and lunch is unheard of in the party boat arena. A tremendous advantage. Boat is clean, well maintained, and comfortable for the longer runs. Fishing on the Capitol Princess is, quite simply, the most fun you can have fully clothed and in public. Because she is docked on the East River and 23rd St, she can either head out to sea if weather conditions and the bite are better there, or up the river to the Long Island Sound. Either way, the sightseeing alone is worth the very reasonable fare. Last Saturday, we fished for porgy and weakfish in the Sound. An adorable 5-year-old and his Dad fished beside me. It was so much fun to see the little guys excitement when a fish was brought over the rail! The Collins Family, owners and operators, are such sweet, generous people they attract a really nice clientele. They serve everyone breakfast and lunch (at no additional charge) and adult beverages are available. Hey, if you are a seasoned angler, youll have a ball. If youve never fished before, youll have the time of your life. And if you dont even want to fish but just want to be on board to share the experience, you will have a fantastic time!!! Went with a bunch of my friends and family for my birthday. The fish werent biting all that much the day we went, but the captain and crew went out of their way to ensure everyone got an opportunity to catch something, traveling to several locations until we found success. The food was fantastic, and the crew were patient and thorough with our novice fisherman, always willing to help. For the price, you cant beat this experience.

OMG!! This is the BEST BOAT to fish on in NYC!! From the crew members, to the food, to the cleanliness of the boat, it was a GREAT experience. The captain and his wife are AMAZING and such BEAUTIFUL people inside and out. The 3 crew members, Randy aka Brownie, Jose and Chris are extremely helpful and nice. We had plenty conversations and we felt like we knew them forever. It was myself and husbands 1st time on the boat and we felt like it was our 10th!! Definitely going again.. Did the fishing tour with the Pack 422 Cub Scouts and cant say enough great things about it. Lots of fun, wonderful experience. The staff was super helpful and really accommodating. The captain kept us out on the boat a little later since the fish were biting - which was much appreciated.

My wife, stepson and I had a FANTASTIC time on the Capitol Princess. Very spacious and comfortable fishing boat (feels more like a yacht), and the all-inclusive breakfast (bagels) and lunch (sandwiches) were really good. Captain Richie and the crew were super nice and helpful, and they give us great tips to help us catch the many fluke and skate we reeled in. My family and I will be back on the Capitol Princess again soon!

Went yesterday had a great experience.they dont overcrowd the boat, and most importantly they dont under staff. Everyone was happy to help and the ticket price was all inclusive, the only thing they charge for is alcohol. The service is very similar to a charter. Really great service and location. I plan on coming back again in the near future and highly recommend.

Went fishing with my brother on the boat. Everyone was really helpful and genuinely care about giving a great experience. The service is excellent, its all inclusive they provide food and drinks included in the price of admission. The only thing they charge for on the boat is alcohol. It is a true family business they are really welcoming and keep the boat clean. It really feels like you are guest and they are inviting to their home. I am definitely coming back again in the future and highly recommend.

I have done several party boat type fishing cruises from New York and Long Island. The Capitol Princess was by far the best experience I have had.The boat was in immaculate condition and was set up very nicely with a dining area with bar and had a comfortable upper deck for relaxing before and after the fishing.The best part of the trip were the captain and crew. They were the friendliest, most helpful, and most energetic crew I have ever had. They made a great boat even better.I will definitely be back!

Great trip aboard the Capital Princess. The boat as well as the crew exceeded my expectations. If you’re a diehard fisherman this may not be the boat for you, however if you want a great experience fishing, knowledgeable crew, good eats (included in the price) water and soft drinks (beer and stronger spirits available for an additional charge) this is the boat for you. My partner truly enjoyed herself, Jose and in particular “Brownie” two of the crew members assisted with making her fishing experience memorable. The boat is clean and comfortable, bathrooms as well.I will truly go fishing with them again.

I had my bachelorette party on the Capitol Princess, and it was fabulous! The crew was extraordinarily friendly, helpful and attentive - a real family run operation. The boat was exceptionally clean, the catered breakfast and lunch were great, and the on board bar was perfect. All the girls (both fishing pros and novices) loved the experience! The experience far exceeded my expectations. The entire crew was great. They were all very helpful in making sure the day of fishing was as easy and fun as possible, doing anything we needed from giving us a brief teaching lesson to unhooking fish we caught. They basically did everything except put the fish on the hook for us (and in the case of some young kids, caught fish for them to reel in). Overall, about as convenient of an experience as I could imagine to go fishing anywhere, let alone NYC.

Please keep in mind that if you are looking for a legit party fishing boat you will most likely be disappointed. Yes, its a boat and yes, they fish. But keep in mind that there a lot of people on this boat that are there to mostly party, eat, drink, socialize, and have fun on the water. The mates do an okay job keeping the up with the bait, removing fish from your hook, untangling lines, etc.It is a very clean boat with a nice upper deck with comfy seats that is great for sightseeing. Also our trip came with continental breakfast and a cash bar. Not sure if they do that for all trips but it was fun and worth the extra $$$.My wife and I fish pretty regularly from all over Long Island. The boats we go on are nice but the Capitol Princess is a treat.

I have been on many party boats fishing over the years and never have we experienced a day like this. The gentlemen and Ladies that operate this business are first class. Each person was personable, friendly and worked hard for each and every patron. The All inclusive fishing was just that... Quality sandwich for lunch, bagels and muffins for Breakfast soda and water included. The owners of the vessel spent time visiting with each patron to continue to build on there motto of having a family on the boat. This was my first visit and many more are to come.

Excellent staff, great clean boat. The staff, led by Eric, tends to everyone’s need. Great for all levels of skill, including beginner fishermen, since the team helps out with everything (baiting, untangling, etc). Plenty of experienced fishermen on boat as well. Capitol Princess provided everything needed for a great experience, fishing poles, etc - went with my family on Father’s Day. They also provide breakfast and lunch, unlimited waters and soda. Capitol Princess was where I spent my 30th Birthday party, and it was perfect! We went down to the New York Harbor and fished while looking at the Statue of Liberty. Captain Richard, his family and all the mates were extremely tentative and helpful. It felt like we were part of their family! Incredible experience and have already recommended them to several friends! Will definitely be doing this trip again and again and again!

This is the only party boat I would step onboard; look no further. Really an AAA+ experience all the way from the well kept and newly remodeled vessel, helpful and friendly mates and captain, and a crew willing to bust their butt to get their patrons on the fish! They work hard for you! I cant say that about many other operations Ive been on elsewhere, and Ive been on many. This boat is great for first timers, kids, and experienced anglers alike. Ive been on quite a few party boats in the central Jersey area and while they all were a great time, they just dont compare with the experience my girlfriend and i had aboard the capitol princess! Food was delicious and the crew seemed like they just thoroughly enjoy their jobs. Shoutout to capitol princess crew member Brownie who made the day for us. Well certainly be back soon for the fall striper run!

I was never a huge fan of party boat fishing but the Capitol Princess changed my mind! First thing I think about party boats are crowds, lines tangling, rude crew members & traveling out my way. After a few trips on the Capitol Princess, my mind is officially changed. First off, a party boat in the heart of NYC, how amazing, let alone convenient is that? Day & night trips make fishing after work a stress reliever and a breeze. Every mate goes above and beyond to teach you everything you need to know to catch the targeted species. Another awesome point I must make is the food, beverages and a bar! (They dont allow outside alcohol on the boat, which to me, is great because it weeds out the people who bring a cooler full of beers and end up being intoxicated before the boat departs) All in all, If your in the city or not too far from it, give it a try. Im sure you wont be disappointed!
