The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Adam was the best!! The hotel is modern and updated and the rooms were clean when we arrived & they even accommodated our early check in. The downside was that the rooms are tiny and our room was never cleaned the four days we stayed. We had to ask for new towels and washcloths everyday, empty our own trash, etc. I think they are short staffed which I understand but they should have told us that daily cleanings weren’t going to happen so that we could manage our expectations.
Clean!! Best location!! Nice and Modern!!!My husband I planned a last minute trip to New Orleans, arrived on Thursday and had planned on staying until Sunday, we had no idea a hurricane was headed that we so had to cut the trip short, ended up having to checkout a day early. Adam, the hotel manager on duty was so accommodating and kind with the BEST personality!! From the time we arrived until the time we left, Adam was there, and was always professional, helpful, and HILARIOUS!!!!! This is my second time staying at this hotel, but my first time meeting Adam, and we can’t wait to get back. We will definitely be staying at this spot again because of the location and cleanliness, but most importantly, because of Adam!
Staff Germaine and Adam were great! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is clean! I love that our room did not have carpet. Down alternative was requested before check in and our room was ready to go upon arrival. With Covid housekeeping is limited to once every 3 days but we did ask for a few extra towels and got them right away. Coin laundry is available on site. The hotel was able to make change. Its a short walk to Bourbon St and many other popular areas. Took advantage of valet parking, well worth the extra expense. Beds were super comfy and I am in love with the pillows, so much that I am ordering some for home. Day manager helped me find where to order them. Overall was a great stay!
The AC Hotel by Marriott was conveniently located in the New Orleanss French Quarter. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly. Valet parking made it easily accessible, I. What normally would be a busy area. A special shout out to Katorra at the desk, Adam the service manager. They both did a fantastic job, addressing my needs.
Very, very nice hotel. The room was absolutely stunning! Centrally located and close to pretty much everything. The negative...Valet parking only for an additional fee. Parking is hard to come by in New Orleans, so I suppose it should be expected.
So I have been staying here for over a week now. The staff here are amazing. Very friendly. Very knowledgeable of the area. With good advice on stores and restaurants. Oh an just for the curious persons here. This hotel has hidden wonders. You have to take the time to look around. You will be amazed by what you see inside. Im not going to spoil it for yall. But take the time to explore the hotel. You will be amazed. I would stay here anytime. Than you to the staff for putting up with all us linesmen an Tree crews!!!!
Room had been recently remodeled, though it was somewhat small, bed was to firm for my liking. Staff for the most part were friendly and accommodating. Really more like a 3 and 3/4 stars!
Positive: looked new and clean. most of staff were friendly, the bartender. also, one of the ladies in the dining area (when they ran out of food the night before the hurricane she found me a sandwich after I told her I didnt eat lunch) Negative: lied about having back-up generator. lights went out. miserable, hot, sweaty night. no food. we were told we could leave the next morning. had no place to go! lights @ home were out! Thats why I went to a hotel that said they had back-up generators!
Reps need TRAINING! Lots and lots of errors with payment. Different information from different clerks. Comfortable stay, clean hotel though. Nice room. Reasonably priced. Hard to focus on vacation because they had tied up all of my monies.
The staff is extremely friendly. Steve was so helpful and always greeted us with kindness. Olivia was helpful as well! The rooms are spacious and clean and the location was decent as well!
I am a Marriott member that travels across the country for work, so I know a great hotel when I see one. I will not be staying at this hotel again, nor recommend to anyone. The hotel is sleek and modern, and was very clean - however, the service and ambiance of the room was horrible. The walls are PAPER thin, and you can hear anyone in the rooms and hallways. I booked this hotel because I didnt want to be right in the thick of bourbon street, but wanted to be walking distance. The hotel brings a lot of noise from bourbon street, and goes late into the night. We couldnt sleep all night, and ended up leaving a day early because of the hotel. We tried to kindly ask for a refund for one nights stay because of the poor experience, but it did not matter to them. On top of this, the valet is HORRIBLE. I would not recommend this hotel for any business travel or wedding. It took 30 minutes both time to get our car - we even called ahead the valet 15 min prior and they told us be down in 15. Then 30 minutes later, we were still waiting. For paying $49 / night for valet, this was horrible service.
This was a great experiencethe rooms are clean and well laid out. receptionists are professional and willing to help with any of your needs.
Loved it here!!! They were so welcoming when we arrived. They got us checked in quickly and even gave us recommendations of places to eat. Mr. DC at the front desk was great, so warm and kind. He was always helpful with directions when we needed them. Mr. Ricky at the bar definitely made our day multiple times! His drinks were SO GOOD, and conversations were great! Learned more from Ricky at the bar drink and eating gumbo (which was very good) than on a tour. Great place to stay when in NOLA.
Positive: It looked pretty, it was close to some of the sights. Negative: Sooo small! I had no idea how Small the rooms were, super uncomfortable beds, and the coffee products were not refreshed.
Nice hotel. A block away from Bourbon Street. Parking is available via the Hilton around the corner but check in early for your parking or you will be walking a couple of blocks extra. In and out is allowed at the Hilton ($20) but not on the other surrounding lots. We discovered the 6th floor patio on the day we checked out. We were there 3 days. Due to Covid they do not clean the rooms and they only give replacement linens after 3 days. Very accommodating!
We stayed in NOLA for two nights and were looking for someplace affordable but with great reviews. We did not find that here. Do not stay at this hotel if you have other choices. I do not even understand how this is a Marriott hotel with high ratings and is considered such a high level of hotel. The hotel is dark and VERY noisy. The lobby and seating area were always full of people having very loud parties with music not provided by the hotel. It was so raucous that it was impossible to even stay in the lobby. This occurred at all hours. The noise transferred into the halls as well. I realize that people come back to their hotel from partying, but his was more than that. Running up and down the halls, yelling and screaming, knocking on random doors, etc. The hotel also reeked of marijuana. The lobby, elevators, halls and even our room at times. The room itself was acceptable. It was clean and modern though very dark. No housekeeping was provided at this hotel either. I have stayed at other hotels since COVID started and have received housekeeping. Dont be fooled by the website and reviews, this hotel is not as pictured We generally love Marriott properties, but not this one!
This newly redesigned or renovated. Have a few kinks to work out. Overall, a pretty good place to stay.
Positive: The location to Burbon street, food, and shopping Negative: The valet parking price of 40.00 a day plus tax is really expensive. The bed was hard and uncomfortable
The hotel was very clean and it is in the perfect location. The rooms are extremely small. It reminds me of a dorm room in college. The staff is inconsistent with what they communicate to guest. Valet parking is almost pointless - it takes forever to get your car even if you give them a 15-20 mins notice. Checking out on Sunday is absolutely horrible. Receiving our vehicle back took us almost an hour and a half. The only good thing about the valet parking was Mr. Greg. He is very kind and extremely professional.
Very clean, excellent customer service. Good location.
I am giving 5 stars solely for Mr Gregg!!!! His customer service is OUTSTANDING and no matter how busy he is...he always makes you feel important and a priority. This man deserves a RAISE! Count yourself lucky to have him on your team as he adds true value to your asset!!!!
Positive: I was given the wrong hotel. My first time to New Orleans. And I asked for Marriott French Quarters, and I was given AC Marriott French Quarters. So I had to pay for another Hotel room. At the Marriott French Quarters. Which cost me more money. Negative: And i called to try and get a partial refund. Because I did not stay at your hotel. And I phoned the Hotel on my arrival date, June 6th. that evening when I arrived. But I was rudely spoken to by one of your staff members. So I was told that I could not
This hotel is ok. The reviews are pretty on par, so believe them before you go. We were lucky to score a room here last minute for cheap, so I cant be too nit picky really. I managed to get my room for about half price, but honestly, I wouldnt say it was worth more than we paid (about $170 a night). The rooms are pretty small, but I dont mind that. The location was alright, we were able to quickly access the French quarter and all of its fun by foot. So that was nice. Its location is strange, it seems to be in a little more rundown area, but no serious complaints there. There was trash all along the sidewalk outside of the entrance, which was gross. Our windows in our room were dirty, which was disappointing for a Marriott hotel. The beds werent THE most uncomfortable Ive ever slept in, but Ive slept in more comfortable beds in a laquinta than this hotel for sure. They definitely didnt provide that sensational feeling of relaxation when coming in from a long, hard trip. A lot of folks complained about the customer service, but we had 0 issues with that. Just know, the room is small and your bed sucks. Definitely not up to the Marriott standard.
Good rates... easy to get to.. its on the West end of Bourbon St... (Carondelet St).... food places and drug stores... very close...
Had a great stay! Was very clean and DC was amazing and very helpful/knowledgeable about NOLA. As was Stacey! Was only a short, easy walk from the French quarter.
I enjoyed the shower part rains like waterfall.
Very shady location. Shady about total price at check in. Then they charged me twice, and when I called they said it was only charged once. Had to dispute with my credit card company. Rooms are also small. Will be contacting the better business bureau because they are very shady and I’m pretty sure they are doing something illegal. Do not stay here!
Great room. Great service. Very quite. Definitely recommend.
Rooms are very small, hence the square footage not being advertised like other Marriott hotels. The bathrooms have sliding glass doors that leave a large gap between the two pains of glass so there’s almost no privacy in the restroom of a small hotel room.We were happy to see the shower had a waterfall head, however the knob to turn it on was stuck and we could not use it.Be prepared for a small room, with loud drunk patrons keeping you up all night. But if you’re into that sort of thing then this is the place for you.
Positive: The worker they were professional and kind. Negative: I DID NOT HAVE ANY ISSUES.
Nice clean rooms. Friendly employees
This hotel doesnt have the quality of a 4 star hotel but the manager is very kind and did a wonderful job making the rest of our stay in New Orleans much better. We appreciate her taking the time to make suggestions. Thank you.
All night long we heard construction and couldnt sleep. The rooms were nice but tiny for the price.
Positive: Ended up not even staying! Was ok losing my money cause wasnt worth it to stay.
Staff was amazing!!The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed in the room. Valet was punctual and professional, especially Brian.Rita sent us to fantastic places to eat.Every single staff member would get 5 stars. The room is smaller, as it is an older building, but upgraded beautifully.
I give it a 3 stars only because of the baggage guy he was so sweet and rooms were clean but no window view our window was facing a hallway and it was a frosty window felt like I was in a cage
Very clean rooms friendly staff parking could use a bit of improvement I loved the hotel scent would love to know what is it?
The location was great, the room was ok. Absolutely no service, had to ask for towels, etc. The valet was horrible, took forever to get our cars, one day not even the valet drove it around. This was no ok!!! We book hotels to have a bar, area to enjoy, well they say they have one but after 4 nights, it hasnt been open once!!! Also, major issues with billing issues. We had to talk to them 4 times to get this correct and guess what, we are still trying to get this correct. We will never stay here again and never recommend it.
The lobby was okay and the staff was really awesome. The room was average, the floors were not swept or mopped and the bathroom sink was stopped up. I was disappointed because I read a lot of good reviews about this hotel. I love New Orleans so I will definitely be back but staying in a different hotel.
The room did not match the website pics. We literally had a drain pipe directly out the window, not to mention an unleveled floor & a wallpapered column dividing the room. My husband wondered if perhaps our room had once been a storage area.I slept only 2 hours for all the partying in the rooms next door. We literally could hear every word of their conversations, not to mention more! I must say the front desk went above & beyond to correct functional things they really could not correct. Also, although the room was poorly appointed, it was clean. We will never stay here again & sadly we would never suggest anyone else, who wants a restful night sleep, do so either.
Clean... convenient location... sparse furnishings... poor dining area
Ricky is THE BEST BAR TENDER IN LOUISIANA!!! Good location, can walk to EVERYTHING... Front desk staff has all the answers, even got me an old-school sewing kit!
First of all the Valet parking is horrible for $40 it takes to long to get your car, you may have to loop around the city 10x just to get in Valet. Second of all we stayed 3 nights they told us house keeping was the 2nd day we called 3x to ask when are they going to clean the room NEVER HAPPENED Third they told us we cant bring outside food and eat in the kitchen, beds are full size not queen and hard,no Microwave, the shower head was broke.Enjoy your Stay!
Customer service was excellent, maybe the only good part! We were placed in a room that faced the parking garage. The beds are like cots and very uncomfortable, along with pillows. Would not recommend staying here.
First of all got there at 4 oclock to check in they didnt even have a bed ready til 5:30...then the snacks was ridiculous 2 bags of chips and a soda $12 dollars, the bed hard, valet parking $50 dollars was told a different price, I have stayed at plenty of hotels and this was the worst, only thing I can say nice Greg the guy that helped with our luggage was really nice
Me and my husband had a great experience during our stay there at Hotel an New Orleans
Good location, small room with even smaller bathroom, not enough soap for 4 people 2 nights. We stayed 2 nights and no one cleaned our room or changed the towels. No microwave in the room. Hot, drinking water was not available
Very nice hotel, nice associate at the front desk.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location was #1, close to the party spots on Bourbon.
The rooms are very small, and they have “interior” rooms meaning there is no actual window to see outside the hotel. It’s dangerous and extremely uncomfortable. I stayed during a holiday, so the prices were way more expensive. This hotel should barely get one star, and they need to do away with rooms with no windows. In terms of location, it’s a pretty good spot, and I think that’s the best and only good thing about the hotel.
Horrible hotel, small rooms right on top of each other. Noisy!!! Questionable area. No privacy and people in next room smoking pot setting off smoke alarm. Security did not kick them out. I would not recommend this hotel.
For the money, this place is a rip off, its dirty, unkempt and free breakfast Id not edible
Great no bad comment...
Nice hotel...horrible customer service. My boyfriend reserved a room with city view for the weekend after a much needed break from working nonstop for the both of us. We had to wait almost 45 min for the valet, but he was still charged the 48 dollars. While waiting for the valet, I hear the staff member OFFERING city view rooms to guests that were checking in. After finally being able to get to our room, its a boxed in square with no window. I immediately called the front desk to only be transferred 3 or 4 times before eventually having to hang up and go downstairs. Upon speaking with the clerk, he stated there were no rooms with views available. I asked for the manager, who stated the same, even after showing her our reservation. She said we were welcome to try another hotel in the city, but could not refund the valet, that had only been used for one hour at this point. I was of course livid but after 10 min, suddenly a room with a view became available but it was a double bed. The manager then tried to say this was actually an upgrade, which was complete bs. My boyfriend was exhausted and said dont sweat it, so we switched rooms. After enjoying a much needed dinner we returned to our room only to have the hallway flooded with smoke and loud guests beating on doors and walls until 1 am! Needless to say we got no rest and we ended up needing a vacation from our vacation. Never again!
They gave us a room with feather pillows despite my multiple requests by email, phone and at the front desk for a feather-free room (a serious health concern for me). There were no luggage carts available when we were getting ready to leave. They dont do the rooms every day. Two phone chargers disappeared from our room. A drunk guest harassed my wife in the lobby in front of hotel staff around noon and no one intervened. Awful experience.
Positive: The location was excellent. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly. Will definitely be back!
We stayed 4 night. Some locals recommended us to stay on other side of the Canal street. Less than 5 minutes walk to the Bourbon street, $20 parking (twice cheaper than in French quarter), many restaurants close by. The hotel was clean and the staff was excellent. There is only one complaint. Rooms sound insulation is bad, very bad. You may get a some issues with noisy neighbors.
Great service! Clean rooms! Very accomadating. I forgot a valuable item and they contacted me which is 5 stars in my book any day.
Nice hotel, great people, Prefect location on Bourbon St.Walking distance to all attractions.
The staff was extremely helpful, filled us in on the best breakfast joints, where to avoid and places to see! It does NOT have a pool though! Also my room was an inside corner with thin walls so when everyone came back inside from partying you could hear it all! So make sure you get an outside wall!! Other than that it was about as perfect as it could have been with covid!!
Was a bit disappointed to not be able to use the courtyard and the bed were small OMG
The hallways reeked of weed. I requested that my trash be picked up from my room, no one came. The sheets are extremely low quality and the comforter was filthy, on both beds. The door to the bathroom would not shut. I am extremely disappointed in my stay here for my birthday.
Great distance to burbon and very classy
Valet parking is extremely too expensive but other than that excellent customer service and rooms
Great place...very pet friendly
Positive: Close to everything Negative: Wasnt enough towels and soap
Great centrally located hotel. Walking distance to Bourbon street. Staff is great. Extra bonus for having a Norwegian lady at front desk.
My stay was great. The employees are so nice.
The supplies were very limited. There was no room service and not up to par with its competitors.
I was treated very badly at this property. The management team has no empathy for their guest. I booked a reservation at this property and had to change it because flight discrepancies. I had no problem modifying the reservation with the rep but 2 hours later the Manager Stacy leaves me a voicemail telling me she’s cancelling my reservation. I then called to see how is my reservation being cancelled after speaking with someone to change my arrival date. Stacy was very nonchalant and said the property sent a email to me about the changes that I did not receive. I explained this to Stacy but again no empathy and no way of helping me resolve my issues. Now I’m away from home sleeping in my rental car because all properties are booked to the capacity. I will never book the AC hotel and never recommend this property to no one because I would never want anyone to experience this what I’ve experienced.
The hotel itself is nice; however, the staff is rude and unfriendly. In addition, this hotel says that they do not follow Marriott’s policy on rewards members. If you are a rewards member, you will not receive anyone of your benefits and you will be reprimanded and belittled if you try to enquire about your guaranteed benefits. Again, hotel nice, location good, staff makes you feel I welcomed and considering checking and going somewhere else
Very nice. Our rooms were clean and the whole hotel was very nice. My pup also enjoyed the stay.
Close enough to bourbon to walk and not hear the noise from bourbon
Great place clean and great customer service
Not the Best AC Marriot. The location of some rooms were very noisy. The toliet kept plugging up. Had to call for maintenance twice. Otherwise staff is very friendly and courteous. Price was affordable.
Nice hotel and staff. Clean!
Positive: Extremely clean and modern new inside .... fixtures and decor on point Negative: Clerk gave room facing brick wall. Ask for new room told there was no more clean. Pushed & was told they clean the # of rooms checking in & would call housekeeping & see if they could clean 1 few hours, threatened to report thm they moved us asap
Great location blocks from the hot spots but the walls are thin here if your a light sleeper
Super clean very friendly staff enjoyed myself will definitely be a return customer
My stay was fabulous! Everything from the hospitality, customer service, the location, room cleanliness... everything was perfect! I definitely recommend you to stay here if you want 5 star treatment. The bed was like a cloud and the sheets were super soft and comfy. I didnt want to leave. This was my view from my room on the 7th floor! Amazing!
We enjoyed ourself immensely at this hotel. Clean rooms easy check in and out. Comfortable bed and pillows. Convenient to Bourbon and French Quarter. 6th floor terrace is nice place to chill and smoke without having to go downstairs and smoke awkwardly on the street. Bar is well stocked and prices are great. Staff is friendly and accommodating at all times. Had zero issues at AC Hotel and will be our hotel of choice for all future trips to NOLA. Do yourself a favor and book this hotel now!!Jesse and Cindy White
Location, Location, Location! The hotel is in the center of everything and the breakfast was definitely my lifeline after a long night on Bourbon street lol. The hotel is located in the heart of the city so parking is very scarce. Beware the hotel charges $39 plus tax = $46 a night for valet, your best bet is to find a $16/ night garage around the corner about a 5 minute walk.
Our stay was unforgettable. The staff was super friendly, and one particular person who stood out; is Amber. She answered all our questions, and what to expect during the stay upon check-in. She was also there each night shift. We used valet parking, and everyone was very respectful on that team as well. The breakfast staff were super nice, didnt meet any of the housekeeping staff; but my room was superb as well. The hotel is updated, and very modern. The hotel is located in the a great part of time, and the walk to the Superdome was so convenient. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay.
This place was clean. The staff was professional. The rooms were a bit small, but overall great place in the heart of NOLA.
While the hotel itself is a great location and clean. The staff did not have the right attitude to deal with Mardi Gras weekend. While it is completely understandable that a good majority of people come for the drinking and partying, there are still some that come for the experience. Staff should understand that all people should be treated with the same level of respect. But more importantly, the ones who show respect back to them in the midst of them being frustrated with party-goers.
This is in a great location and the staff were so nice and accommodating. The price was very reasonable but it misses the mark for comfort and functionality within the room itself. They are clever enough to have a high ceiling in the room I stayed in and that kept it from feeling claustrophobic, but the lack of storage options and lighting created some challenges. It was manageable and I got over the fact that I was living out of my suitcase the entire time. The shower was fantastic. All and all, it was a good value and I wasnt spending a ton of time there anyway.
My room is off the hook🌹💋👍I absolutely love it!!
Great service the bartender was awesome and hes very knowledgeable about this area let him be your tour guide guide
Great stay for the night our cruise ship came in and we wanted to see the sights downtown, staff was so friendly, room was quiet and hotel is just far enough off the busy streets. Liked the atrium deck where my husband could smoke. Porter was very attentive to our luggage we stored, even helped me locate my phone I accidentally packed in the suite case by letting me use his phone to call myself!Cab service in the area was quick and efficient. We would definitely stay here again.
Positive: Modern decor - location was key Negative: Very small rooms - could have been cleaner - bathrooms very small and no real door - my room faced another building which felt like a dungeon
I was in town for an Anytime Fitness conference and could not have asked for a better experience. The staff were knowledgeable about the area, professional and courteous. My room was so clean and the bed was comfy. During the conference, a gentleman named Robert took care of everything any of us needed. The conference meeting area was always clean and stocked. He was the ultimate professional and gentleman. I had a great experience from start to finish during my time in town.
Very noisy- people on both sides of our room playing loud music- called front desk several time’s- after long road trip, just trying to sleep- don’t seem to care. the shower fixture is broken, our room was not cleaned because they assumed we were checking out even though we had paid for 2 nights & even confirmed with front desk that our reservation was for two nights. terrible customer service & I should ask for a refund. fyi, no parking on premises. i do not recommend this hotel, very disappointed for a Marriott.
I love the location. The staff was very friendly. Hotel room was nice and clean. I will be back.
Checked in my room found hair one both beds dont think they changed the blankets.Told front desk and they gave me another room. Other room the vent kept falling off the wall
Positive: Clean rooms, professional and knowledgeable guest services front desk clerk! Negative: Parking was a the greatest challange due to the safety issue having to walk to the hotel at night from the car. Risky!
I had a room block at the AC Hotel for my wedding in October 2019. I did not personally stay at this hotel, but the guests that did had a wonderful stay. I would personally like to say that his is a WONDERFUL place to have a room block. They offered me a courtesy block & went above and beyond to make sure that everything went according to plan and that my needs were met. Felicia personally made sure that I had everything I needed & checked in with me often, even meeting me in the lobby to hand off my bags for my guests. Great location & great hotel!
