Solid place to get my climbing fix. I have no complaints except for the price because with paying that much elsewhere there is a lot larger facility. Maybe im just spoiled from being in a larger clmibing city before coming here

It was super hot and they were obnoxious about wearing mask and it was hard to breath with one on while climbing it a 90degree gym. Also the girl working at the front was rude and the staff harassed me non stop for no reason. The gym is dirty and they seem to never clean there holds

Fun climbing problems, nice laidback atmosphere. It’s the only place to the climb in the city, and thankful it exists! 🤙

Really nice gym. I like how the routes are set and the entire facility is very clean. They even have a small gym (some weights, hangboard, rowing machine but no other cardio). There is a filtered water machine instead of a fountain which I found interesting/nice. There are even some showers. One suggestion I would have is to set some dedicated downclimbing holds. Other than that, fantastic place!

Nice bouldering lounge just outside the main centre of New Orleans. Youve got all the difficulties, trainingroom, showers and more. Super friendly staff, must go if you are in NO and want to do some bouldering.

The climbing wall is a great place to meet new folks and boulder. It’s a bit small compared to other major gyms in cities, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in friendliness! Love coming here in the evenings - they’ve got a partnership with a yoga studio as well so you can be extra limber on the wall. Routes are reset pretty frequently, which is a huge plus.

Really nice small bouldering gym. Interesting and varied setting, but not a ton of terrain. Good location and people were friendly. Seems fairly priced for a day pass. They do have showers too, contrary to an older review.

They definitely make the most of their space. Happy to see plenty of beginner and moderate routes that were well set. The weight room/gym in the back is pretty tiny and the mats are pretty grungy but if you want to do a few pull ups or basic benching they’ve got you covered.

I was always intimidated by bouldering culture on the West coast. It always felt male dominant and a bit competitive. I was hesitant to come here but I came for a class and am now HOOKED. The atmosphere here is very chill, super supportive, and friendly. There are always lots of women and I have made great friends here. The staff is helpful and approachable. This has become one of my favorite places to spend time. Also, they have LGBT night, POC night, and ladies nights!

I wish 2.5 stars was an option.Pros:-a huge improvement in route setting over the NoLa bouldering place we climbed at three years ago when passing through-showers available with shampooCons:-this place is unbelievably small. One small room of bouldering with short walls. But we had no other options.-route setting was pretty much all one style. Hopefully the gym can branch out to include taller setters, female setters, older setters, maybe even other demographics!-they offer a feedback board but, as one member noted on said board, most of the answers tended not toward actionable solutions but toward defensiveness. The best item I noticed there was a request for a moon/tension/kilter board in the back workout area, which definitely had the space for it and didn’t seem well utilized.-they charge the same for a day pass as other gyms we’ve been to that offer tons more walls, tall walls/ropes, yoga, cardio, etc etc. Not worth it. Maybe they’re greedy, maybe it’s just making back their investment, but they should be charging half of what they are. If you go early it’s discounted but the day we were there the setters had closed off half the place to set all day anyway.Would not recommend but do realize it is NoLa’s only option!

New Orleans is so lucky to have the Boulder Lounge, its one of my favorite places in the city. Despite being many hours away from any outdoor climbing, this is among the best climbing gyms in the country. Its small, but its QUALITY. I cant stress that enough. Their route setters are amazing. Theyre doing all the right things, using color coded holds with lots of new, big, interesting holds, super creative, dynamic routes which requires problem solving. I think you would call it more of a comp-style, which I love. They reset (and clean) one wall per week which means the whole gym is new every three weeks! No other gym does that. The climbing community they have cultivated there (and at the other location that recently closed) is really something special, and all the staff is friendly and enthusiastic as well. I loved having a membership there and had it for almost 2 years, it was great to just stop by any time and not worry about getting my moneys worth. The weight room and yoga were also great perks. Now I am in a large city in the southwest and we have half a dozen gyms to choose from, but none compare to the Boulder Lounge experience AT ALL. For all the folks like me who learned to climb at NOBL, you dont even know how good you have it!

Really impressed by the friendly climbing community I found visiting this gym. Its boulder only and small, but manages to squeeze in slab, overhung, arete, and stemming areas. Nice diversity of style of climbs, some precarious crimp-fests and others with big moves to big holds. Not horrendously busy on a Saturday. One thing which I havent run into before - this gym explicitly prefers you to downclimb all the way to the mat rather than downlimbing some and jumping the rest of the way.

They do a great job with the space theyve got, which is tiny. Im looking forward to a space that can accommodate lead climbing. The setting is really good and I love how much they reset at a time. For the price, I wish there was more on offer (fitness classes, cardio equipment, etc.).

I went here regularly for about 6 months after they ran a deal where a membership after taxes worked out to be about $45/month but was paid in full up-front which seemed like a fair price. I belonged to a different climbing gym in Maryland for about two years and it was MUCH more expensive but NOBL recently upped their prices.Pros: Nice, well-kept, and clean facility, dog-friendly(!), small gym in the back with some free weights, an erg, and a training area, they have plenty of routes for people of all skill levels and change them up frequently which is awesome, membership includes a free yoga for climbers class at wild lotus once a week, special events are held often for PoC, women, and LGBTQ folks.Cons: Not a very big facility and since the closure of the location in the LGD it gets VERY crowded during peak hours (6-8 PM), no locker rooms/showers, groups of people are VERY cliquey (I did not join to make friends here but still made the environment uncomfortable and unwelcoming), staff is a mixed bag. I found the red head guy who is usually at the front desk to be super unapproachable and standoffish and had a few unpleasant interactions with him (e.g. loudly singling me out for standing on the mats when I had just gotten on them while plenty of people standing around were ACTUALLY standing on the mats just chatting or hanging out who werent spoken to. Ive been climbing for a few years at three different gyms so safety practices are not new to me.)Overall Ill give this place 3/5 stars. I dont think the regular priced memberships are worth it in lieu of the other facility closure.
