He correctly diagnosed the the problem but charged $140 for the diagnosis, which I paid because he said it would be applied to the modest cost of the repair. He would be back in two days with the part. He never answered his phone again or (obviously) showed up when he said he would.

I called to schedule an appointment. I asked “Is this ACE appliance repair?” He didn’t answer but said “what can I help you with.” Thinking that he didn’t hear me, I repeated the question. Same response. I then said “yes I’m looking for repair for my Samsung fridge.” He said “yeah I can do Samsung.” For clarity (because I had multiple repair company number written down, I repeated my initial question. He hung up. Based on the other reviews, I’d say that this company cannot be trusted. Totally unprofessional.

This man is clearly a fraud! I wish I had read these reviews beforehand.We contacted Alvin about fixing a refrigerator. The first service tech we called indicated it was a compressor issue and would be more expensive to fix than possibly getting a new refrigerator. His fee for troubleshooting was $75. We called Alvin as a second opinion and let him know what the first service tech had told us. Alvin said his charge to come out and trouble shoot was $85. After troubleshooting, he stated that the issue was fixed by a changing a relay to hard start and to give the refrigerator sometime to cool. If it didnt cool, he would be back to add freon. He charged $245 for fixing the issue. We waited until the next day, but the refrigerator was still not cooling. We contacted Alvin who stated he would be there next day, then didnt show up. Then he said next day morning, we had someone there waiting for him, and he didnt show up. Then he said next evening. He finally showed up and stated the issue was with the compressor and wanted over $500 more, for a total of nearly $800 to fix the refrigerator. I told him we could buy a new refrigerator for that amount, and what he did the first time didnt fix the issue after we clearly let him know the first tech had already indicated the issue was with the compressor. He finally agreed to get the covered compressor part from the manufacturer, and not charge additional for the installation. We have not been able to reach him since then - he has not answered calls or texts. While the compressor part is covered by the manufacturer, they will only send it to a licensed service technician on getting their report. So, we would have to get yet another service tech out and pay them for troubleshooting. We have been without a refrigerator for over 2 weeks! Stay away from Alvin - he is unprofessional and inconsiderate.

I told him exactly what was wrong with my washer over the phone down to the part that was needed. He said he would be here the next day at 9am. He was an hour late, tried to charge me $108 for a part that costs $60 and tried to charge me labor of $140 for a job that would take five minutes. I proceeded to tell him I am going to pass on the job and he confronted me demanding $85 for coming out. I told him there is no way I would pay an absurd charge when I told him exactly what was wrong the day before. He could have given me the price over the phone and saved himself a trip.

Total Fraud. No showed a dozen times and scammed my fiancé out of $400 and did not fix the refrigerator. I’m filing a police report.

I wont trust the people how work for this company. The person how answers the phone dont is rude and doesnt seem to care if he gets your business or not. Plus he hung up in my face!!!!

Beware. This man seems like a nice guy but takes your money and doesnt do the repair properly. Every review I have seen plus my personal experience is negative. His warranty is worthless. He just never comes back to make your appliance right.

This man is a drug addict and scam artist. He was sent out by a third party clearinghouse. We paid him to fix our ice maker. He arrived took a 5 second look at the ice maker and said its broke. He wrote up an invoice for $240.00 and said to pay in full and got mad when I questioned that, but I needed my ice maker fixed and he appeared professional. I wrote him a check made out to him not the company. Told me hed be back in 2 days to put the ice maker in. Alvin never showed up and wouldnt call back on Friday. Finally get a hold of him, he tells me he be there at 8 on Saturday am. Showed up at 1:30. Broke part of my freezer and replaced my ice maker. Ice maker still didnt work. He refused to answer the phone or call back. I called the clearinghouse after looking at the reviews and complained.Alvin called at 9:00pm over a week later completely intoxicated and cursed us out, hung up and he called back threatening us. I filed a police report on the harassment and a complaint with the clearinghouse and he has been reported to the Better Business Bureau. Thank goodness the clearinghouse refunded our money and we no longer have to deal with this scam artist.Needless to say, this is NOT an actual company. I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT USING HIM.

Alvin came out to service my appliance early in the morning. He didnt arrive on time. and didnt have the part with him so he had to go get it. He said that he would be back around lunch but didnt come to fix the unit until 6:30pm. This was entirely too long for the labor price that was paid. The parts was also very expensive. I noticed one part was about 40.00 from Lowes and the other part was 20.00 from Sears. For 1 hour of work and 1 hour of travel time $125.00 is way too expensive. The total repair was $225.00. Make sure you get all the information up front and you make sure you have a firm quote in hand before he starts working. Service was good and he fixed the problem but again way to expensive for such a simple repair.

WARNING DO NOT USE! Alvin is a rip off and no show (15 times scheduled 15 no shows) Refused to come back to complete his job, refused to give refund and will not return calls and never had the parts for repair, when he did show up. I wish I would have seen the review prior to hiring him. If I could give negative stars I would.

Do not use this repair man. He took my money and did not fix my microwave. He does not return phone calls. I wish I had known, but I didnt call him directly, I called an appliance repair company and they sent him. My next stop is to post a bad review about them. Please do not use this man or you will be ripped off.

Alvin Birotte took $285 from me to repair a freezer and he left is worst than it was when he showed up. DO NOT use this guy for anything. He will take your money. He promised to come back, after several calls. I can not get him back and now he is not returning calls. We need to make sure he does not take anyone elses money. Please do not use him

Do not use this service. I was overcharged for repairs that were never completed. When I called to report that the appliance was still not working, the tech hung up and never returned my calls.

Alvin is a total rip off! He was supposed to come out on a friday. He called and said he was running behind on a job and he would be there at lunch. He called at lunch and said he would call when he could come because he was still behind and had to make a bank drop. Alvin didnt show up till the next Monday! He looked at the door,said the door was the issue and charged me $165.00!! I paid because I was desperate and losing food. I gave the fridge a chance to cool. It never did. I called back to tell him that my box was still warm. He tried to make me think i called him about a door when i have the text messages to prove i called about a refridgerator not cooling and a leakage. He started arguing with me like i bothered him! The door was his diagnoses. He then had the nerve to say ilk come out and give you freeonne(without looking at the appliance no less) fir a whopping $125.00!!! This man is unprofessional and a rip off! Dont use him!

The gentleman, Alvin, is a total fraud. First of all, I initially called him to repair my refrigerator because the freezer was not freezing. He told me that he would be there in thirty minutes which would have been about 3:30 in the afternoon; I guess I dont know how to tell time because he arrived at 1:30 in the afternoon three days later. He said that he could not correctly diagnose the problem at that time because the freezer began to freeze again and the ice machine began to make ice cubes again, but the problem was probably a sensor. He told me to call him if the freezer began to defrost again. When the freezer defrosted, I called and texted him, and he was on his way, but here we are two days later, he has yet to arrive. Needless to say, I have contacted another company that repaired the problem in less that thirty minutes, but please, please DO NOT contract with this man because he is incompetent and unreliable. I have highlighted one star because that is the lowest rating that I can give him, but that rating it too high for this experienced rip-off artist.
