I really liked this place, BUT I had an emergency and had to cancel my appointment…was charged $35! I asked if I could bring my one year old child with me (emergency was childcare related) and they informed me I should not because he wouldn’t allow me to do my nails. *Calling all MOMS* - do not go here! Unfortunately life happens, emergencies happen and sometimes you have to reschedule your appointments. I can’t afford to make appointments here. It is unfortunate because I love to support business owners of color and especially Latino ones, but cancellation fees are quite outrageous.

The price that I was quoted & confirmed before the service was not what I was charged, and the woman who said she was the manager was not nice, the girl who did my nails did a good job, but will not be returning there it was not worth my $100. Total rip-off

I visited them yesterday with a very good perception given the many good reviews this place has received. But I came out very unhappy and $90 short. My manicure was taken by someone who was fluent in Spanish, and I had a hard time conveying what I am looking for.I only needed a simple and natural looking acrylic nail set. Nothing fancy. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty bad:1. The lady (Karen was her name if I remember correctly), cut my nails which were long and healthy, in the most brutal fashion. She did not even care to file my nails after cutting them so horribly.2. She bruised my hand in two places, and my finger was bleeding. I think it was because I was stiff and not relaxed, but that is natural after seeing her be so careless while cutting my nails in the beginning and not even caring to file them. it is natural to not be relaxed after that I think.3. The sculpting powder was applied so thick and it looks like my nails are unnaturally bulging. The sculpting powder was applied so far into my skin that it hurt when they tried to remove it at the end of the session.4. My only request to have natural looking nails is far from met. My nails were longer before than after getting a new set of acrylic nails.5. Johana had to intervene and take up whatever little she could do. I am not happy with the way the polish has been applied either.6. I was so frustrated by the end of this, that I just wanted to leave without creating a scene or asking them to redo this shoddy nail job.The only respite was Tabata who did a good job with my regular pedicure.

Its taken me forever to find a nail salon that I like. This place has sooo many options for nails. Even though I went more simple, the variety is definitely a great factor. The lady took her time with my nails and it didnt feel sloppy or rushed at all. My only regret is that I didnt ask for her name! I would go back to her again!

All I can say is I AM IN LOVEE! I have been going here for about two years now and every time the ladies are excited to see me and whatever crazy nail design that I have come up with. Highly recommend ❤️

The girl who did my pedicure wasnt even sure what the steps were for the pedicure I asked for. She kept stopping what she was doing to check her phone and text her friends back. At the end of the pedicure, she started to reach for the polish and hadnt put any lotion on, and caught an attitude with me when I questioned it.

I have just started using Nails by Johana and her service has always been impeccable and the girls are always so friendly and kind. Today I stopped by with a nail emergency 🤪 My nail broke and somehow the gel color was not sticking. They were very attentive and knowledgeable in solving my issue. It is my new favorite nail place!

Best manicure I’ve ever had ! Even stayed open 45 mins later to finish my manicure! Johanna is amazing and super sweet, will definitely be coming back !

Johanna has been doing my nails for years; so when she opened her own nail salon, naturally, I followed her. The salon is kept clean and her staff is pleasant and very accommodating. From plain manicures to gel manicures with designs, I am always happy with my nails, and constantly get compliments. I have referred many people to Johanna, all of whom are very happy with the salon (including husbands). Keep up the good work ladies...

I have been going to Johanna for years and when she opened up her own salon - I followed. She is a wonderful person and I am always satisfied with her work. I always get compliments on my nails. They have so many different colors to choose.I would suggest making an appointment ahead of time because it’s always busy. Everyone seems to come here to get their nails done :)

I have been working with Johana and Amanda for years and return every 2-3 weeks for another specialty mani and pedi! Johana introduced me to the powder manicure concept when it first came out and always provides a cheerful, friendly atmosphere and a great service. It is a pleasure to see Johana’s business grow and to be a part of Johana, Amanda, and the teams’ successes! She always has the latest colors, knowledge of the newest trends, and quality products/service!

Im extremely particular in selecting nail salons and nail technicians. My best friend recommended Johanna and Ive been so happy that now its a family affair with my daughter and mom too. I love Johanna and her team. The salon offers a variety of services that are of the latest trend with all the colors and products you can imagine. Its a very friendly atmosphere, punctual, immaculate and extremely accommodating. Before Johanna I couldnt grow my nails or keep the color without problems. Now I ask her to cut or file down my nails😂 all I can say is Im so grateful my BFF referred me!!

It was great. I got a pedicure and I am very ticklish but it was still great and handled very well. I would go there again. The workers are very polite and welcoming.

Ive been going to Nails by Johana since the spring time. I loved using Elizabeth but she left the salon this week, sad. What is really disappointing is their management skills. Monday 12/23, I had a manicure appointment for 1pm. I show up on time, soaked my gel off. In the mean time, 4 people show up. 3 for gel or powder manicure and one for a pedicure. 2 of the manicures and the pedicure were done by the time it was my turn, at 1:55!!!!!!!!! Two weeks prior, I had an appointment and I had to wait 45 minutes before seeing a manicurist. Whats the point of having an appointment when 3 of the people WHO WALKED IN AFTER ME WERE SEEN BEFORE ME?!?! They did not have an appointment and I heard when asked. The owner kept glaring at me as she knew I was impatiently waiting. They do a decent time on nails have if you extra time on your hands, be prepared to WAIT A LONG TIME!!!

I am honestly very disappointed of this place. I was a new customer three weeks ago. I got tips, dip powder and a pedicure and during my second week 3 of my nails had already fallen off (THIS HAS NEVER HAPPEN TO ME BEFORE) tips usually last a long time but of course you need to keep up with the refill. I called the owner and complained and she literally sounded like she was in a hurry to hangup the phone. Anyway I came in to “get my nails fix for free” once the girl was done she charged me. She didn’t even give me a discount or approached me to apologize for what had happen. I HAD NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY and they are also VERY EXPENSIVE!!! this place is deff not worth it.

EXCELLENT BEST NAILS EVER BY JOHANNA

I originally came here because their prices are much cheaper compared to other places on Main Street and Im so glad I found this place! All of the girls there are so nice and friendly and always do a great job. Even though its cheaper than other places, Ive noticed my gel manicure lasts much longer than others. The only time Ive ever gotten compliments on my nails is when Ive gotten them done here. Highly recommend!

This nail salon was great! They did my nails perfectly and were very kind and helpful! I give this salon a five star rate because the owner deserves it.

I went to Nails by Johanna to get my nails done because I’m going on vacation, and what a disappointment! First the girl that did my pedicure most be an apprentice, she did not clean my toenails well, and the nail polish was kind of dry so when I looked at my toenails I had to ask her to do them again because they were chunky. A different person came and painted my toenails while I was having my manicure done. Although I called and made an appointment, the girl that was doing my manicure asked to move to another station that someone else was going to finish my nails because she had another appointment. As I was moving, one of my toenails got messed up and they had to do it again. I told the girl that was doing the mani to not cut my nails, just file she cut them anyways and let them so short I can’t see the skin underneath my nails. Overall this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience and they will not get my business anymore.

Since these people want to keep taking down my review.... stay away... they don’t do a great job with acrylic nails.. look at my yelp review.. been to way better places than this

Loveee nails by johana, but was unhappy with my experience today. The girl that did my nails was very very sweet and kind, but at the end I realized she did not understand English when she had to ask a coworker what I was saying. I told her I wanted my nails square but round on the corners. She took off random corners on some nails and all my nails are pretty much different shapes now. She had the really long fake nails on so it made it difficult for her to wipe excess polish off my skin and it now it looks a little sloppy. The top coat is dull and the polish is clumpy and streaky :(

First of all, this place is clean, friendly & the owner personally greeted me with a smile & made me feel welcome and warm, I will never go anywhere but here again. If you’re looking for a new nail place, Johana’s is the place for you!

It’s so upsetting that I can’t give this place 0 stars. Not only is the owner disgustingly rude but so are her employees. I’m going to try my best to keep this short bc why waste any more of my time.1. They don’t clean clippers after every use. Fungal infection NO THANK YOU.2. They don’t care about appointments. So if you have time to waste I guess you should come here.3. They BURNED my little sister’s FACE!!!! I swear if this scars they are hearing from me! Check out the picture. Uploaded. It’s soooo bad!!Honestly my little sister should get refunded or at the very least complimentary services but like as if!! So refund please !

WARNING DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE HERE! This was the WORST Manicure EXPERIENCE Ive ever had! My mom and I went to have a lovely mother/daughter experience.The girl who did my gel manicure not only took 3 hours, but she kept messing up! She did my gel then noticed the polish was crumbling under the UV lights, she then said, I mess up, I put top coat for base coat, I have to take it all off.. Then she scraped my nails off instead of letting it soak to restart.... I AM BLOWN AWAY AT HOW HORRIBLE THEY ARE, Nails By Johana are rookies. The pedicure, I paid for, a spa pedicure, the girl never took the paraphyn wrap off, I walked out with it on my feet. This was a 3 hour duration! When I asked for a courtesy manicure due to them messing up and taking 3 hours just for my gel manicure she said, No you get gel manicure and pretended like she didnt understand that well! THIS IS NOT OK! HORRENDOUS EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE! *WARNING
